Abstract

The purpose of this study was to see the influence of educational background and years of teacher performance Raudhatul Athfal in Medan. The proposed hypothesis of the study, which reads:  There was no effect of the educational background and work together on the performance of the Athfal Raudatul teacher in Medan. Based on data analysis using a Varian Analysis of Two Path, then obtained the following results: 1). There is a very significant influence of educational background on performance. These results are known by looking at the value or coefficient difference ANAVA FA = 8.978 with p <0.010. 2). There is a significant influence on the performance of the work. These results are known by looking at the value or coefficient difference ANAVA FB = 4.131 with p <0.050. 3). There is no influence of the educational background and work together on performance. These results are known by looking at the value or coefficient difference ANAVA  = 0.267 with p> 0.050. The teacher who has a service life of between 4 to 10 years had a higher performance with the performance of the average value of 201.594 as compared with teachers who have tenure over 10 years with an average value of 196.926 and the performance of teachers who have a service life of between 1 to 3 years with an average value of the performance of 191.538.

Abstract

This research was aimed at analyzing the effect of locus of control and emotional quotient on problem solving skills in adolescent of village Percut Kecamatan Percut Sei Tuan. In 1231 populations of adolescents 16 -18, only 160 sampled respondents and finally as a sample to analyze the hypothesis counted 136 subjects. This is because the 15 questionnaries not return and 9 subjects didn’t fill the questionnaries completely.To analyze the hypothesis about effect of X1 and X2 variable to Y variable we use Multiple Regression analysis.  The effect of X1 and X2 variable on Y variable can be seen from Coefficient Determination (R.Square) = 0,29, indicate that 21,9% of problem solving skills is influenced by locus of control and emotional quotient. The rest, 23,2 % was cause by other variables from out side this research.Coeffient Correlation between X1 variable and  Y variable is 0,388. Score of r is bigger than r table, show that significant and positive influences are 0,388 between locus of control and problem solvings skills. Coeffient Correlation between X2 variable and  Y variable is 0,427, bigger than r table too in significancy level 5%,  that significant and positive effect between emotional quotient and problem solvings skills. r table to N=136 on believing interval 95% or significancy level 5% is 0,159. Abstract

This research aims to empirically examine the relationship between academic self-efficacy withself adjustment on students. The subjects were students of class X Patra Nusa Senior HighSchool who totaled 67 students. The sampling technique used by the total sampling technique.Data collection was done using two scales, self adjustment and academic self-efficacy scale.Product moment correlation Analysis techniques was used to analysis the data. Based on theresults of data analysis, the correlation coefficient (rxy) of 0.613 with p <0.005 which meansthat there is a positive and significant relationship between academic self-efficacy with selfadjustmenton students in class X, which shows the higher the students academic self-efficacythe better their self adjustment ability. Conversely, the lower the students academic selfefficacy,the self adjustment ability is getting worse. Self academicefficacy gave 37.5% impact tostudent’sself adjustment of class X Patra Nusa Senior High School

Abstract

The purpose of this meta‐analysis study  is  to  evaluate  primary  studies  that  studied gender  differences  in  adolescents  depression. Articles  collected  from  popular  journal  (e.g. journal  of  research,  journal  of  youth adolescent,  American  journal  of  community  psychology,  journal  of  adolescence  and  psychology,  journal  of  adolescence  and journal of abnormal child psychology). Twenty  three  articles  were  found,  but only  fourteen  articles  were  relevant.  After final  evaluation,  only  twelve  articles  with  fourteen studies could be analyzed. Abstract

Since the enactment of curriculum 2013 nationally, academic interest determination activities at SMA Negeri 1 Sei Suka, conducted with Placement Test in collaboration with competent professional institutions, and the results are conveyed to all new learners according to their potential in the interest of MIPA, IPS and IBB. However, some students try to move academic interest because the reason is not by their wishes or the influence of parents and friends. Researchers are interested in this case so they want to know what academic interest really means for new students, so it is expected that the case for moving academic interest will not happen again in the future. This research uses qualitative approach with case study techniques where informants are primarily learners who receive test results and students who move academic interest. Data collection is done by interview techniques in person or by phone. Data validation is done by triangulation, namely the results of interviews of learners compared to the interviews of informants supporting the Principal, Vice Principal, Subject Teachers and Parents of learners, as well as the theories of experts, the results of previous research and also supporting documents. The results of this study finally revealed about the preparation of learners before choosing academic interest, consideration of learners choosing the concentration of MIPA, IPS and IBB, as well as how learners interpret academic interest and the reason students move academic interest

Abstract

This research was aimed at analyzing the effect of locus of control and emotional quotient on problem solving skills in adolescent of village Percut Kecamatan Percut Sei Tuan. Abstract

The goal of this research is to find out the correlation between the relationship authoritative parenting and self-efficacy with student learning satisfaction during the pandemic. This research is a quantitative research with the population of 255 students of class XI and XII of SMA Swasta Shafiyyatul Amaliyyah Medan. By using random sampling technique obtained a sample of 156 people. The data gathering technique used three scales data: authoritative parenting, self-efficacy, and student learning satisfaction during the pandemic . The Data analysis using multiple regression analysis. Based on the result of research, therefore the conclusion are: 1) There is a significant positive correlation between authoritative parenting and student learning satisfaction during the pandemic. This is indicated by the correlation coefficient = 0.461 with p < 0.05. The coefficient = 0.212, this indicates that the authoritative parenting style contributes 21.2% effectively to student learning satisfaction during the pandemic. 2) There is significant positif correlation between between self-efficacy and student learning satisfaction during the pandemic seen from the correlation coefficient of r xy = 0.603 with p < 0.05, providing an effective contribution of 36.4%. 3). There is a significant positif correlation between authoritative parenting and self-efficacy  with student learning satisfaction. This is indicated by the coefficient F reg = 41.931 with p < 0.05, and the correlation coefficient R = 0.631 with p < 0.05 and = 0.398 with a contribution of 39.8%. Based on the research results the hypothesis is accepted.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship of the role of fathers with self-determination, the relationship of peer social support with self-determination, and the relationship between the role of fathers and peer social support with self-determination in adolescent drug addicts. The population in this study were adolescent drug addicts in Medan Plus Addiction Recovery Clinic. A sample of 54 teenagers were taken by purposive sampling technique. The instrument used was a scale of self-determination, the scale of the role of fathers and the scale of peer social support. The results of multiple regression analysis showed a Freg value of 11,071 with p = 0,000 (p 0,005), which indicated that there was a significant relationship between self-determination and the role of fathers with peer social support. Partially, there is a relationship between self-determination with the role of father rxy = 0.543 with p 0.01, and there is a relationship between social support of peers with self-determination rxy = 0.384 with p 0.01. R2 value of 0.303 means the role of fathers and social support of peers together make an effective contribution of 30.3% of self-determination.

Abstract

The purpose of the research is to determine the relationship of coping stress and social support with subjective well being on the student’ 11 class of Singosari high school Delitua. The sample in this research were taken 100 students. The sampling technique used is Total Sampling Technique. Collected data used is scale, scale of coping stress, scale of social support and scale of subjective well being. Data analysis method used is Multiple regression analysis. The results show that 1). There is a significant positive relationship between coping stress with subjective well being which seen from coeeficient value (Rx1.y) = 0.666 with p = 0.006 0.050, It means there is a positive relationship of coping stress to subjective well being. Subsequently 2). There is a significant positive relationship of social support to subjective well being which seen from the coefficient value (Rx2.y) = 0.374 with p = 0.002 0.050, It means there is positive relationship of social support with subjective well being. 3). There is a significant positive relationship of coping stress and social support with subjective well being seen from linear coefficient value (Rx1.x2.y) = 0.716 with p = 0.002 0.050, It means there is a positive relationship of coping stress and social support with subjective well being.
