Abstract

Abstract

Training on the correct, precise and safe installation of electric power installations for the people assisted by the Manpower Office in the Malang City Government. The existence of this training is expected to provide additional skills for installing power installations, to be used in working on installing power installations that are correct and safe and in accordance with standards, so as to minimize work hazards or accidents due to errors due to installation and use.

Abstract

The installation of lighting and running text in the housing gate is expected to provide lighting around the gate so that it is clearly seen if there are vehicles passing by. In addition, with the upgrade of the information board using an electronic board (running text) it becomes very clear and beautiful both in the morning and at night.

Abstract

This study aims to design a PWMtype charger controller, to discover the performance of the PWM type controller, to determine the compatibility of the PWM type charger controller and MPPT, and to analyze the performance of the PWM type charger controller in the PLTPH in JLC. The method of analysis of this study uses field data and is tested on the PWM type charger controller and the MPPT type charger controller. From the data, the two charger controllers are compared. The results showed that the PWM and MPPT charger controller performed well to cut off the load current when the battery was full, the PWM and MPPT charger controller performed well to disconnect the load when the battery began to run out. The PWM and MPPT charger controllers have the same charging speed, and the MPPT charger controller has good efficiency in the PLTPH system.

Abstract

This study discusses the installation of lighting electrical installations that are appropriate and safe for the community assisted by the Manpower Office in Malang City Government. The existence of this research is expected to provide additional skills in installing lighting installations, to be used in working to install lighting installations that are correct and safe and in accordance with standards, so as to minimize work hazards or accidents due to errors due to installation and use. This research activity was carried out in the AK Building of Malang State Polytechnic, Jalan Soekarno Hatta Malang by Malang State Polytechnic. The research activity for lighting electrical installations was carried out using a direct practice method. These activities are the introduction of standard electrical installation equipment according to PUIL; Introduction of lighting equipment components such as lamps, switches, contact boxes; and Installation of fittings, contact boxes, pipes, cables, switches. From the results of the research which was carried out for several days, the results obtained were knowing the practical theory of lighting installation; know the use of PPE properly; know the components of the lighting installation; know the electric measuring instruments; knowing how to install lighting installation components correctly and safely; know what things are done before the object is connected to a power source; and can take measurements when the object has been connected to a power source.

Abstract

The unbalanced load on distribution transformers is mostly caused of connecting new customers and changing patterns of electricity usage in the community. The impact of the unbalanced load is the emergence of a current flowing on the transformer neutral conductor that causes energy losses. Load balancing of distribution transformers is commonly done by technicians, but the implementation takes quite a long time and is repeated, sometimes up to 4-5 times to get the appropriate results. This is more due to less valid customer phase data. Customer phase verification is needed to accelerate the load balancing process in an effort to reduce losses in distribution transformers. With valid customer phase data, just one stage of load balancing can reduce losses by 1.06%..

Abstract

Electrical energy generated also comes from several energy, namely water, steam, nuclear, etc. In Indonesia the type ofsteam power plant is a type of power plant that is widely used, where one of the crucial problems that are often encountered in this generation system, namely the problem of stability. The stability of the electric power system is the ability of the system to return to normal or steady operation after a large load load switching or interference. Disruption or load switching that exist in the system must be muted and aligned in a certain time to be said to be stable. Causes of instability are disruptions in the form of large capacity load switching, and the type of interference. One aspect that affects the stability itself is the transient stability. The transient stability is related to the sudden influx of large-capacity loads and affect the performance of the generator, therefore it is necessary to analyze the voltage and frequency transient stability for the evaluation of the capability of the electrical system so that the system maintains the continuity of the supply of electrical energy to the load normally. Based on the research results, the current flowing before the disturbance of 98.9 A and current disturbance of 145.2 kA. This causes the voltage response to decrease 50% of the nominal, and the frequency increases to 50.36 Hz. The time required from the disturbance condition to a stable condition within 5 seconds.

Abstract

One of the efforts to tackle the energy crisis is by reducing dependence on fossil energy sources and utilizing alternative energy. One of the alternative energy is wind energy. Wind energy can be used to make power plants. Wind power plant is a method to generate electrical energy by turning the wind turbine which connected to the generator, then the electrical energy which generated by generator used for supplying the load. However, the availability of the wind energy are not always constant in strength, thus to make this power plant work continuously to supplying the load it needed the element of electrical energy storage,that is battery.In order to make the electrical energy storage become efficient then used the component to support the battery charging, the presence of these component the energy produced can be stored optimallyand the battery life can be longer. The purpose of this study is to design and analyze the performance of the charger controller and battery in the PLTB system which is then used to support the work of the Wind Power Plant prototype system in State Polytechnic of Malang. The result of this study is how to choose the charger controller and battery based on some consideration, the characteristics of each components before and after be assembled in Wind Power Plant prototype system in State Polytechnic of Malang

Abstract

Penyeimbangan beban dilakukan untuk mengurangi losses (rugi-rugi) pada trafo distribusi, dan verifikasi phasa pelanggan dengan pendeteksian phasa menjadi kunci keberhasilan pada prosesnya. Metode pembacaan phasa dilakukan dengan menghitung selisih waktu antara perpotongan gelombang dengan titik nol dari suatu phasa kemudian membandingkan dengan phasa yang lain. Pendeteksian phasa pelanggan membutuhkan peralatan dengan sensor phasa yang tepat dan akurat yaitu dengan menggunakan metode Positive Edge Comparation, Arduino dan Transciever LoRa. Hasil pengambilan data dengan pengujian pada laboratorium menunjukkan bahwa toleransi beda phasa dengan simpangan maksimum sebesar ± 18⁰ dan jarak terjauh untuk mendapatkan data phasa yang tepat adalah 50m pada posisi Line of Sight. semakin jauh jarak pendeteksian maka simpangan sudut phasa semakin besar.
