Abstract

Magnetic Resonance Cholangiography (MRCP) examines the pancreas and ductus billiaris using magnetic resonance imaging with a negative contrast media administered orally. Oolong tea is possible to be an alternative of an oral negative contrast media due to its manganese contained. This study will elaborate on the best method of oolong tea extraction to get the best mangenese substance and its capability to suppress inevitable organs. This is an experimental study with various methods of extraction, which are the maceration method with ethanol solvent, maceration method with aquadest solvent, and boiling method. The whole process includes collecting and preparing plant materials, sample identification, sample processing, extraction, and extract characterization. The manganese level is checked with Atomic Absorption Spectroscopy (AAS) followed by scanning the extracted oolong tea in bottles and MRCP scanning examination. Results showed that manganese level with three different extraction methods is maceration method with ethanol is 1.23 mg/dl, maceration method with aquadest solvent is 0.82 mg/dl, and the extraction using the boiling method with aquadest solvent 0.94 mg/dl, and manufactured tea 1.40 mg/dl respectively. Scanning the extracted oolong tea in bottles showed that the best suppression is on the bottle, which contains extracted oolong tea using a boiling method with aquadest solvent. The image enhancement on MRCP showed that biliary trees are all enhanced using all the extraction methods; however, the best suppression for the stomach and duodenum is using the boiling method with aquadest solvent. The best choice for oolong tea extraction to get the best image to enhance and maximum suppression for disturbing organs is the boiling method with aquadest solvent. For the oolong tea, oral media contrast is to consider the level of manganese substance and its capability to suppress the disturbing organ to provide the best image for MRCP

Abstract

Background : Artefact degrade image quality. Motion artefact can be minimized by reducing scan time. The use of GRAPPA and change the value of TR, NEX and phase enchoding can reduce scan time. This study aims to determine the difference between MRI image quality of the GRAPPA method and routine method with change the value Phase enc. Dir., FOV phase, TR, TE, NEX, concatenation, base resolution, phase resolution and bandwidth by routine method MRI examination of lumbar spine sagittal T2 FSE in Prof. Dr. Margono Soekardjo hospital in patients with lumbar disorders.Methods : Quasi experiments with equivalent posttest only control group design in 25 respondents were obtained in consecutive sampling. Each respondent was given three treatments with different method. Qualitative assessment was done on the MRI images results of the third treatment. Presence or absence of an overview assessment results HNP, spondylosis and degenerative disc analyzed with Cochran test while the level of clarity of the ligamentum flavum, thecal sac, intervertebral disc, vertebral body and the spinal cord was analyzed by Friedman test.Results : Cochran test produces a p value 0,05, while the friedman test results were followed by post hoc analysis resulted p value 0,05. The highest mean value rank is 3 with obtained of the routine method but has a scan time 326 seconds, the GRAPPA activation performed (mean rank 1) then the scan time can be reduced by 144 second and routine method with change the value of some parameters can reduce 150 second with a mean rank 2.Conclusion : There is no difference reveal HNP, spondilosis and degenerative disc ability between GRAPPA method and routine method with change the value of some parameters by routine methodProf. Dr. Margono Soekardjo hospital, but levels of clarity ligamentum flavum, thecal sac, intervertebra disc, corpus vertebra dan spinal cord is difference. Routine method Prof. Dr. Margono Soekardjo hospitalproduce images with the best quality, but has a maximum scan time.

Abstract

Latar Belakang: Pengukuran persentase lemak tubuh yang akurat merupakan hal yang diperlukan untuk memonitor lemak tubuh, obesitas dan untuk rencana pengaturan diet dalam program pelayanan kesehatan. Lemak tubuh memiliki hubungan dengan beberapa faktor risiko kesehatan. Bioelectrical Impedance Analysis dan Skinfold Caliper dapat memperkirakan persentase lemak tubuh. Kedua alat tersebut mudah, murah dan tidak invasif.Tujuan: Mengetahui kesesuaian Bioelectrical Impedance Analysis dengan Skinfold Caliper terhadap pengukuran persentase lemak tubuh pada wanita dewasa muda.Metode: Penelitian dilakukan terhadap 33 wanita dewasa muda dengan tinggi badan 155 – 165 cm dan berat badan 45 – 55 kg. Pada semua subyek dilakukan pengukuran lemak menggunakan Bioelectrical Impedance Analysis dan Skinfold Caliper pada 4 lokasi (trisep, bisep, subskapula dan suprailiaka). Data selanjutnya dianalisis menggunakan uji intraclass correlation coefficient (ICC) absolut agreement.Hasil: Pada pengukuran persentase lemak tubuh menggunakan Bioelectrical Impedance Analysis didapatkan rerata 20,31 ± 3,13 %, sedangkan Skinfold Caliper didapatkan 23,50 ± 1,51 %. Terdapat perbedaan antara pengukuran Bioelectrical Impedance Analysis dan Skinfold Caliper. Uji kesesuaian menunjukkan kesesuaian derajat sedang (ICC=0,42).Kesimpulan: Terdapat kesesuaian dengan derajat sedang antara pengukuran persentase lemak tubuh yang diukur menggunakan Bioelectrical Impedance Analysis dan Skinfold Caliper pada wanita dewasa muda.

Abstract

Background: Thorax Multi-slice computer tomography (MSCT) scan examination requires contrast medium to image the difference in density with the surrounding tissue. The contrast images is largely determined by the volume of contrast, injection rate and injection methods. Thorax CT scan is performed by slice thickness of 5-10 mm. Meanwhile, it should use the routine slice thickness of 10 mm. Slice thickness of 8-10 mm of coronal and sagittal images require reconstruction by thin slices of 1-1.5 mm and subsequently by applying 3D. Aims: This is to analyse the volume of contrast and slice thickness used in the examination of tumor mediastinum by thorax MSCT examination. Methods: This research used descriptive qualitative design with case study approach, described and explained systematically, related to the procedure of Thorax MSCT examination technique in the case of mediastinum tumor with 3 samples of 3 patient and assessment performed by three radiologist as respondents. Results: This study indicates the success of the use of proper contrast of 80 cc and slice thickness of 2-3 mm to observe lesions of mediastinal tumor. Conclusion: Thorax MSCT examination in the case of mediastinum tumor should use contrast 80 cc and slice thickness of 2-3 mm to observe lesions of mediastinal tumor and coronal and sagittal axial slices, because the sagittal slice can show the lymphadenopathy enlargement so that the mediastinum tumor is clearly visible. The print out or filming results should be included the MPR or 3D to show the presence or absence of bone destruction and metastases.

Abstract

Background: GRAPPA or Generalized Auto-calibrating Partially Parallel Acquisitions is a parallel acquisition technique which can reduce the scan time in MRI examination. Aims: This study aims to investigate the effect of the R-factor variation of GRAPPA on image anatomical information quality and to determine the optimization value of GRAPPA e-factor to fasten the scan time with acceptable image information quality. Methods: Eight respondents will perform T2 axial Brain MRI examination with various values of GRAPPA R-factor (1 to 7), evaluation was conducted with questionnaire which was given to 3 radiologists to assess the anatomical structure of the lateral ventricle, thalamus, caudate nucleus, lent form nucleus, internal capsule and background area. Data from respondents were then tested with Spearman test and Friedman test. Results: Statistics test showed that there was significant effect of GRAPPA parallel acquisition technique on the anatomical image information quality of T2 axial Brain MRI (p value of 0,001<0,05) and the correlation direction was negative, in which the higher the value of r-factor GRAPPA used, the lower the quality of anatomical image information. Based on the result of mean rank, image with optimal image anatomical information quality was image with GRAPPA R-factor of 1 (mean rank = 6.01), but image anatomical information quality with GRAPPA R-factor of 3 was acceptable with fast scan time (opinion of 75 % of all radiologists). Conclusion: R-factor at GRAPPA parallel acquisition technique could reduce scan time, but the higher the value of r-factor GRAPPA used, the lower the quality of image anatomical information.

Abstract

Latar Belakang : Stroke merupakan 9% penyebab kematian dan merupakan penyebab tertinggi kedua kematian di dunia. Stroke hemoragik intraserebral merupakan jenis kedua terbanyak dari pasien stroke setelah stroke iskemik. Sejumlah faktor risiko stroke telah diketahui. Luaranstroke dipengaruhi oleh banyak faktor antara lain penurunan GCS, lokasi perdarahan di infratentorial, perluasan intraventrikuler dan adanya peningkatan waktu pembekuan darah. Volume perdarahan disebutkan sebagai faktor paling kuat dibanding faktor lainnya. Penilaian luaran stroke dapat dinilai dalam waktu singkat dengan menggunakan indeks barthel dengan reabilitas yang cukup tinggi yaitu 0,95.Tujuan : Mengetahui korelasi antara volume perdarahan intraserebral dengan nilai indeks barthel pada stroke hemoragik.Metode : Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian observasional dengan rancangan belah lintang. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di RS Dr Kariadi Semarang Subyek penelitian sebanyak 29 pasien dengan teknik purposive sampling. Data yang digunakan merupakan data sekunder yaitu rekam medis dari Januari 2015 sampai Juni 2016. Uji statistik menggunakan uji korelasi Spearman dimana p bermakna bila p<0,05.Hasil : Terdapat 29 pasien yang terdiri dari 12 laki-laki dan 17 perempuan. Tidak didapatkan korelasi antara volume perdarahan terhadap nilai indeks barthel dimana nilai p o,391. Hubungan yang bermakna didapatkan antara obesitas terhadap nilai indeks barthel dengan nilai p sebesar 0,033. Tidak didapatkan hubungan yang bermakna antara usia, jenis kelamin, hipertensi, diabetes melitus, hiperkolesterolemia, obesitas, perdarahan subarakhnoid, dan perluasan intraventrikuler terhadap indeks barthel (p=0,704; 0,669; 1,00; 0,354; 0,362; 1,00; dan 1,00).Kesimpulan : Tidak terdapat korelasi antara volume perdarahan intraserebral dengan nilai indeks barthel pada stroke hemoragik.
