Abstract

Background. During hospitalization large number of invasive procedure recived by patient and preceived as threatening and anxiety experience. One of the invasive procedures that commonly done is the venous blood extraction. The children in preschool age preceived venous blood extraction as something that endanger the integrity of the body and lead to anxiety experience. To reduce the anxiety during the venous blood extraction, a nurse could perform a clay theraphy. The aim of this research is to ascertain the effect of clay therapy toward scoreof anxiety in preschool age children that undergoing venous blood extraction in RSUD Al-Ihsan.Methode. The study was quasi-experiment with nonequivalent control group posttest only. A total of 34 children who recieve venous blood extraction was assigned into 2 group, 17 children in control and 17 children in intevention. The children anxiety level measured using anxiety observation sheet before the procedure complete. Data were analyzed used independent t test for bivariate and logistik regresion for multivariate. Result Findings. The results show a significat difference in anxiety score between control group and intervention group with p-value 0,001 < α 0.05 which means there is impact of clay therapy to level anxiety in preschool age children undergoing invasive procedure in RSUD Al-Ihsan. Conclusion. This research indicate that clay therapy may be used to reduce anxiety in children that undergoing venous blood extraction.

Abstract

Background: Mother's knowledge and family support of immunization completeness is needed so that children get basic immunizations and as an initial step to preventing disease, especially during the Covid-19 pandemic. During the Covid-19 pandemic, the coverage of basic immunization in 2021 at the UPTD Puskesmas Cibuaya, Karawang decreased to 50.4%. The purpose of the study was to analyze the relationship between mother's knowledge and family support with the completeness of basic immunization of children aged 12-24 months during the Covid-19 pandemic era at the UPTD Puskesmas Cibuaya, Karawang.Methods: This study using a quantitative method with a cross-sectional approach. The subjects of this study were 91 mothers and families who have children aged 12-24 months. The research instrument used a questionnaire. Data were analyzed using Chi-Square test.Result: The respondents of this study were mothers aged 19-29 years (50.5%), had children aged 12-21 months (81.3%), and housewives (100%). Respondents who have good knowledge were 48 mothers (52.7%), and the rest, 43 mothers (47.3%) were not good enough. Respondents who received family support were 41 people (45.1%), while families who did not support were 50 respondents (54.9%). Respondents who gave complete immunization to their children were 47 mothers (51.6 %), while those who did not complete immunizations were 44 (48.4%) respondents. There was a relationship between mother's knowledge anthe d immunization with p-value (sig) = 0.002 0.05. There was no relationship between family support and basic immunization completeness (p-value= 0.234, p0.05). Suggestions to all relevant parties of this topic to implement programs on knowledge improvement of mothers and the community about the importance of complete basic immunization.

Abstract

Fine motor development is a movement that uses smooth muscles or certain parts of the body that are influenced by learning and practicing opportunities. Delayed fine motor development results in children's development being inappropriate for their age. Overcoming this, need stimulation to improve fine motor skills such as playing a puzzle. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of Educational Games Tools puzzle on fine motor development in children. This type of research is pre-experimental research with one group pre-test post-test design. The sample of this study was children aged 5-6 years in TK Al-Wahdah totaling 45 samples. The instrument of this research used a modified sheet of KPSP fine motor. Analysis of univariate data before being treated to playing puzzles, found that there were 33 children in the appropriate category (73.3%) and 12 people in the unsuitable category (26.7%). After being given therapy playing puzzle children in the appropriate category were 45 people (100.0%). Based on the results of calculations using the Mc Nemar test, a p-value of 0.000 < (0.05) was obtained, and X counted 14.08 >X table 3.841. It can be concluded that there is an effect of puzzle educational game tools on fine motor development in pre-school age children at TK Al-Wahdah Bandung City. For teachers and health centers it is recommended to be able to redevelop puzzle games by stimulating children to use puzzles that are more varied and harmless, and can pay more attention to fine motor development in children in the future.
