Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic has brought changes to every aspect of life, one of which is education. Due to these circumstances, conventional learning has turned into online learning to avoid potential virus-spreading in university clusters, and UPI Library and Information Science 2019 students must follow the policy. The study aims to determine the information-seeking behavior of university students in meeting their information needs and differences in information-seeking behavior before and during the Covid-19 pandemic. This study method uses a descriptive quantitative research method. The sample of this research is students who experience two types of learning, conventional learning (in the classroom) and long-distance learning (online class). The results of this study indicate that there are differences in information-seeking behavior of UPI Library and Information Science 2019 students before and during the Covid-19 pandemic both in terms of motivation, place, sources, strategies, and obstacles in finding information. This is shown from the percentages of respondents' answers that show a decrease in physical activity such as visiting the library and a decrease in the use of printed media in finding information during the Covid-19 pandemic. On the other hand, the use of electronic and online-based media to search for information such as e-journal catalogs is increasing, and the use of electronic information sources has also increased during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Abstract

The development of technology and information has led to the emergence of many media that can be used as information sources, including social media. Twitter has started an automatic base (autobase) system with has automenfess feature. This study aims to see the level of users' ability and the use of autobase as an information retrieval system. Respondents were users or followers of the @collegemenfess Twitter account. This study used a quantitative approach with descriptive analysis. The data were obtained through an online survey of 70 followers of the @collegemenfess account. The study found that users' ability level was in the intermediate user category and the use of information retrieval system on this autobase was to send messages with a certain format which then that message will be a confession mention.

Abstract

In the 21st century, continuous innovation and adaptation in every component of learning is required in education, both in the competency component, material content, strategy and media, as well as its evaluation. This study emphasized the development of an electronic or digital module in the information behavior course, it is one of the courses regarding the characteristics of the student activity level that accommodates information retrieval and strives to use appropriate information. The e-module design is developed utilize the 4D model by define, design, develop and disseminate. The participants of this research involved media experts, material experts and students of the Library and Information Science study program at two universities, which are are Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia and Universitas Negeri Malang, there are 20 people in total who used e-modules in limited dissemination on information behavior course. This research revealed the electronic module in the course, the emphasis of the module content design which is enriched with digital-based information sources or in another word called as hyper content that becomes a differentiator in presenting the module content, coupled with the power of audio and visual media or called as screencast. Through this research, lecturers able to prepare independent learning materials by utilizing digital technology.

Abstract

Introduction. This study aims to explore effects of bubble filter and echo chamber on information searching behaviour on the internet, how it affects the scope of the internet ecosystem and users, and what we can see from the behaviour. Data Collection Method. The paper used a mixed-methods approach with surveys, online discussions, and literature research. Twenty respondents between 19-21 years old participated in this exploratory study. Analysis Data. Data was obtained and calculations have automatically accumulated through Google Form. The user data analysis and discussion were conducted manually by considering aspects of rationality concerning the literature and previous research. Results and Discussions. The analysis results obtained were bubble filter and echo chambers were proven to affect internet users both in positive and negative ways. Conclusions. Bubble filter and echo chamber may have both positive and negative effects simultaneously, however, it depends on the user because the system has provided control features to reduce both features. Using internet wisely is also parts of the important aspect.

Abstract

Permasalahan pokok yang dikaji pada penelitian ini adalah bagaimana mengembangkan video konten pembelajaran MKDK Kurikulum Pembelajaran (Kurpem) dengan melibatkan mahasiswa untuk terlaksananya pembelajaran smart classrooM. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan tujuan mendeskripsikan proses kolaborasi dosen dan mahasiswa dalam merencanakan pembelajaran MKDK Kurpem agar menghasilkan video konten pembelajaran yang berkualitas. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini metode kuasi eksperimen dengan desain penelitian time series design. Responden penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Bahasa Inggris di Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia. Dosen dan mahasiswa berkolaborasi merancang pembelajaran yang aktif, kreatif, dan efektif. Penilaian proses pembelajaran MKDK kurpem meliputi tiga tahapan kegiatan yang dinilai, tahapan kegiatan pertama adalah kegiatan pendahuluan, tahapan kegiatan kedua adalah kegiatan inti, dan tahapan kegiatan ketiga adalah kegiatan penutupan. kegiatan pendahuluan berada pada skor sangat baik. Proses pembelajaran MKDK Kurikulum dan Pembelajaran, pada tahapan kegiatan kedua, atau kegiatan inti berada pada skor baik. pada tahapan kegiatan terhakhir, atau kegiatan penutup berada pada skor sangat baik.  Collaboration of Student Lecturers in Developing Video Learning Content MKDK Curriculum & Learning To Support Smart Classroom. The main issues studied in this research are: "how to implement the video content learning MKDK Kurpem by involving students for the implementation of smart classroom learning?". This research was conducted with the aim of describing the process of collaboration of lecturers and students in planning the learning of MKDK Kurpem to produce quality learning content video. The method used in this research is quasi-experimental research method with time series design research design. Respondents of this research are students of English Education Study Program. The course of MKDK curriculum and learning (Kurpem) will develop a video learning content to meet the material needs of the smart classroom learning. In order to develop this content video more effectively in its implementation will involve students. Lecturers and students will collaborate together to design an active, creative, and effective learning process in conducting the learning process of MKDK Kurpem which will be published in the form of learning video, so it is expected to be used as a prototype in implementing learning related to MKDK Kurpem material.

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi informasi yang terjadi saat ini menjadikan semua lebih mudah karena adanya website yang dapat dimanfaatkan pada proses administrasi. Layanan suatu sistem informasi kearsipan berbasis website perlu dilakukan pengukuran atau evaluasi untuk mengidentifikasi kualitas website yang telah digunakan. Dalam penelitian ini, kualitas website Sistem Informasi Kearsipan Dinamis (SIKD) diukur dengan menggunakan metode WebQual 4.0 yang merupakan suatu indikator yang digunakan sebagai dasar penilaian kualitas website berdasarkan persepsi pengguna akhir. Penelitian ini memiliki populasi yaitu mahasiswa program studi Perpustakaan dan Sains Informasi Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia (UPI) dengan teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan adalah purposive sampling sehingga terhitung 77 mahasiswa. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode action research dengan pengumpulan data melalui penyebaran kuesioner. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mendeskripsikan kualitas website SIKD yang digunakan oleh pegawai UPI untuk memudahkan dalam kegiatan birokrasi dan/atau interaksi pengelolaan arsip dinamis. Hasil dari penelitian berdasarkan tiga aspek, yaitu usability (kegunaan), information quality (kualitas informasi), service interaction quality (kualitas interaksi dan layanan) website SIKD UPI berada pada kategori baik. Jadi dapat disimpulkan bahwa SIKD yang digunakan pada proses administrasi di UPI memiliki kualitas yang baik, tetapi perlu ditingkatkan sehingga dapat berfungsi dengan lebih baik.

Abstract

The Information technology media that can quickly provide information about educational terms make it more difficult for people to learn. The absence of supporting media makes it increasingly difficult for people to learn terms and obtain information about the scientific language of terms quickly and accurately. This study aims to analyze the usability and ease of web-based pedagogiadic applications as learning resources. The research approach used is a quantitative approach with an explanatory survey method. The subjects in this study were students of the library and information science study program using web-based pedagogiadic applications with a total of 90 people. Data collection techniques used questionnaires, and data analysis techniques used path analysis. The results of the research being done were there are two things that affect the use of web-based pedagogiadic applications as learning resources. The perceived usefulness of web-based pedagogiadic applications provides benefits for themselves or individuals to use the application as a learning resource. Perceived ease of use, web-based pedagogiadic applications that are easy to use have an influence on individuals to use these applications in supporting teaching and learning activities.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to design e-LibWork as a digital instructional resources that can improve student’s information management skills. The application and development of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) -based learning is one of the most strategic steps in facing a better future for Indonesian education. Future learning is not just following global trends but is a strategic step in an effort to improve access and quality of education services to the public. The Library and Information Science Study Program develops its students to prepare graduate students to develop their abilities and competencies to find, manage, and evaluate information and knowledge, therefore in this effort it must improve access and quality of educational services, one of which is developing digital instructional resources as one of them. one source of learning. The method in this research is a method that usesDesign and Development (DnD). The subjects of this study consisted of several experts and participants. Experts in web design development consist of 1 web practitioner, and 1 content expert about learning resources. The implementation phase involved 32 participants for the pilot process.

Abstract

Competence possessed by teachers in carrying out educational activities is required to utilize ICT as a learning tool—education and training activities for teachers to improve competency. Educators can optimally utilize and use ICT as a learning aid, especially for educators in elementary schools. One of them is the use of ICT with the use of a learning management system (LMS). The study aimed to determine hybrid learning-based training for elementary school teachers in improving pedagogic competence. Implementing education and training activities for elementary school teachers was carried out at SD Negeri Sukasenang, Singaparna District, Tasikmalaya Regency. The target participants for this activity were elementary school teachers throughout Tasikmalaya Regency. Two hundred teachers from various sub-districts in Tasikmalaya Regency attended this training and education, divided into five classes. In this activity, there were 11 topics of training material, and each participant took part in 32 hours of lessons delivered using the hybrid learning method by utilizing a learning management system (LMS). The study results show that applying the LMS-based hybrid learning model of training and mentoring can be said to be effective. This is indicated by the level of attendance of participants in training and mentoring activities using LMS-based hybrid learning, the participants' understanding of the material provided, and the level of motivation of participants after participating in training and mentoring activities using LMS-based hybrid learning shows a good category.
