Abstract

Millennial generation of Merapi Slopes view that the eruption of Mount Merapi is a natural cycle, so they are required to be able to adapt to the natural environment. It is a necessity to increase the capacity of millennial generation in the context of disaster management. SMPN 2 Karangnongko applies the Smart School extracurricular in order to disseminate the values of peace and disaster management. The purpose of this study is to describe the perception of millennial generation towards disaster and the effect of the application of Smart Schools on capacity building. The study uses qualitative methods with data collection methods of observation, interviews and documentation. The results showed that the perception of millennial generation in Logede region towards disasters as tragedies, ordeal, tests, and unpleasant events that brought misery. This view is influenced by religious values and local wisdom that develops in the community.

Abstract

Psychological relation between patient and his/her doctor could help the patient’s healing process. This article is part of research about doctor’s decision making which try to comprehend doctor-patient psychological relationship. This qualitative research involved 11 specialist doctors in Surakarta as informen. This research found that psychological aspects of doctor-patient relationship consist of physical attraction, cognitive schemas, stereotype and doctor’s memory. Another doctor’s psychological aspects that have its role on doctor-patient relation are communicationn skill, inteligence capacity, empathy, ability to build patient trust and positive values.   Kata kunci: relation between patient and his/her doctor

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan memahami secara mendalam mengenai gambaran orentasi  masa depan orang tua terhadap anak perempuan, penerapannya dan sikap yang ditunjukkan anak perempuan, serta menggali faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi pembentukan orientasi masa depan orang tua terhadap anak perempuannya dalam konteks budaya Jawa. Informan penelitian ini adalah orang tua yang Jawa di Desa Karangjati, terdiri dari 3 pasang orang tua sebagai informan utama dan 3 anak perempuan dari setiap pasang orang tua sebagai informan pendukung. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah wawancara, dan observasi, dan dokumentasi sedangkan teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis isi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa gambaran pendidikan orang tua terhadap anak perempuannya di masa yang akan datang sejalan dengan gambaran karir yang diharapkan yaitu bidang-bidang seputar keperawatan, kebidanan, dan pengajaran. Perempuan dalam kultur Jawa diidentifikasikan memiliki sikap mengasuh, merawat, dan memberi. Nilai-nilai kesusilaan memiliki arti penting terhadap anak perempuan dipatuhi. Penerapan orientasi masa depan dilakukan dengan cara memberi tugas, nasehat, dan contoh.

Abstract

Researcher takes particular interest to discover the respondents’ orientation towards happiness based on where the respondent was raised. The study involves 467 senior high school students with ages ranging from 14-17 years old. The data is analyzed using an adapted society psychological approach. The results shows that adolescents raised in rural areas are consider the family to be a factor that contributes to their happiness. Second, achievement is also a factor that leads to happiness. However for the category, to love and be loved, adolescents growing in urban areas place this as a factor that leads to happiness. Similar with spirituality, friends and leisure time are factors that make adolescents raised in urban areas to become happy. Nevertheless, the results of cross tabulation with Pearson chi square test scoring demonstrates that no correlations exist between adolescent happiness raised from urban or rural areas.
