Abstract

Speech recognition system (ASR) is a technology that allows computers receive the input using the spoken words. This technology requires sample words in the pattern matching process that is stored in the database. There is no reference as the fundamental theory to develop database in ASR. So, the research of database development to optimize the performance of the system is required.  Mel-scale frequency cepstral coefficients (MFCCs) is used to extract the characteristics of speech signal and backpropagation neural network in quantized vector is used to evaluate likelihood the maximum log values to the nearest pattern in the database.  The results shows the robustness of ASR is optimum using 140 samples of data reference for each word with an average of accuracy is 99.95% and duration process is 27.4 msec.  The investigation also reported the gender doesn’t have significantly influence to the accuracy.  From these results it concluded that the performance of ASR can be increased by optimizing the database.

Abstract

The web-based Academic Monitoring System for Students with Disabilities is a software development that aims to monitor the academic activities of students with disabilities. This development needs to be done because the average Grade Point Average (GPA) of students with disabilities is often below the average GPA of their class. This system was developed using the R&D method with a prototyping approach. Based on testing with black box techniques that have been carried out, this system shows the accuracy of success, with feature suitability and user acceptance of the system by 100%. In conclusion, this system can be used as a software tool to monitor the academic activities of students with disabilities.[Sistem Monitoring Akademik bagi Mahasiswa Difabel berbasis web merupakan sebuah pengembangan software yang bertujuan untuk melakukan monitoring kegiatan akademik para mahasiswa penyandang disabilitas. Pengembangan ini perlu dilakukan karena rerata Indeks Prestasi Kumulatif (IPK) mahasiswa penyandang disabilitas sering kali di bawah rerata IPK seangkatan.  Sistem ini dikembangkan dengan metode R&D dengan pendekatan prototyping.  Berdasar pengujian dengan teknik black box yang telah dilakukan, sistem ini menunjukkan tingkat akurasi keberhasilan, dengan kesesuaian fitur dan penerimaan user terhadap sistem sebesar 100%.  Kesimpulannya, sistem ini dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai perangkat lunak bantu untuk melakukan monitoring terhadap proses kegiatan akademik para mahasiswa difabel.]

Abstract

This research aimed to analyze the process of cendana senayan library information management system (SLIMS) based on data flow diagram (DFD) in Duta Wicana Christian University.. Methodology of this research used field research and the object of this research is cendana senayan library information management  system (SLIMS). Finding of this research is all of the features in SLIMS Cendana such as borrowing process, return process, library member registration process, importing book data collection process, and imposing sanctions on library users who are late returning the books can be cover with Data Flow Digram (DFD), so it can be easier for librarians to conduct library processing activities and in the information retrieval in library.

Abstract

Website perpustakaan harus dapat menyampaikan informasi kepada pemustaka dengan cara yang mudah, cepat, menarik dan informatif. Penelitian ini menganalisis website perpustakaan Universitas Islam Indonesia, dengan metode kualitatif dengan jenis field research. Hasil analisis website berdasarkan konsep 6 (enam) elemen kunci Shedroff (1997) adalah : 1) Content (isi) website telah memenuhi standar sebuah web, tetapi statistik web tidak update, tidak online dan bahasa yang tidak konsisten. 2) Information Design (organisasi dan navigasi), disusun teratur sesuai kategori, mudah ditemukan, tidak banyak scroll, tetapi terdapat dua tombol search yang membingungkan. 3) Performance, web didesain untuk sivitas akademika, tidak memiliki suara, tidak banyak desain dinamis dan tidak banyak desain interaktif, sehingga waktu download tidak lama. Traffic pengunjung mengalami penurunan pada tahun 2017 (pages 787.070) dan 2018 (pages 435.844). 4) Compatibility, website sesuai dengan judul pada URL. 5) Visual Design, menggunakan theme enfold telah disesuaikan dengan Branding Guidelines UII. 6) Interaction Design, sudah adaptif desain, belum memiliki feed back, live comment, replay, dan belum dapat diakses oleh kaum difabel.

Abstract

Pelaksanaan kegiatan penelusuran informasi di sebuah perpustakaan tidak terlepasdari peran kerja pada pustakawan, untuk itu didalam sebuah perpustakaan perluadanya sebuah kebijakan tertulis mengenai standard operating procedure untukpreservasi koleksi di perpustakaan. Penelitian ini melakukan penelusuran informasiberdasarkan standar prosedur perpustakaan mengenai kebijakan pengembangankoleksi berdasarkan standar hukum atau kebijakan SOP preservasi, dengan metodepenelitian kualitatif dengan teknik Snowball Sampling. Hasil dari penelitian inimenunjukan bahwa di perpustakaan UST belum melaksanakan standard operatingprocedure dalam kegiatan preservasi koleksi, hal ini tercermin dalam proses kegiatanpreservasi belum mempunyai SOP preservasi yang berpijakan dengan landasan hukum pada preservasi koleksi yang tertuang pada SOP pengendalian dokumen yangtertuang pada No SOP 001.002/ot 01 01/isn 6, Undang-Undang Nomor 13 tahun 2018tentang serah simpan karya cetak dan karya rekam, Peraturan Kepala PerpustakaanNasional Nomor 16 Tahun 2014 tentang tata cara penyimpanan dan penggunaankoleksi khusus serta SNI 7330:2009 perpustakaan Perguruan Tinggi.

Abstract

SISKO was developed since 2005 in SMA Negeri 1 Yogyakarta through the assistance of Kamadeva developer under the auspices of PT. Indonesia Mandiri. The interesting side of this research is SISKO as an integrated information system between the school administration module and the Library, SISKO will be reviewed from the analysis of its library information system design. The research method through a descriptive qualitative research approached, namely by conducted field observation techniques, direct interviews and collected available data. Based on the results of the information system design analysts showed the relationship between data or entities with each other. The focus of the analysis of the design of the library information system at SISKO also showed the detailed process flow especially in circulation services at SMA Negeri 1 Yogyakarta Library. SISKO viewed from the back end through its user interface can run well.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to be able to determine the effectiveness of Mendeley software that can be used as an aid software for reference management. The research method used is quantitative descriptive. The unit of analysis in this study is Mendeley. Data collection techniques used are exploration (browsing), searching (searching) on the software website under study and making a checklist of characteristics of software quality based on its function as a reference management software and with relevant library studies. The results showed that Mendeley’s software was stated to be very effective because of the 8 (eight) feature indicators stated 98.75% of the checklist indicators were available. Thus the quality of Mendeley’s software is very effective to be implemented, so that this software can be used to facilitate or integrate with other software in writing scientific papers in search of the scientific references they need.

Abstract

Basically, library can provide fully information, and rather quickly in accordance with the needs of users. This research the optimization of the library information system through using the existed features, and hopefully, it can increase the service for the users. This research is using the qualitative approach method, and this is also field research. Based on the analysis of the results using the SDLC method, SIPRUS (Library Information System) is the library database collection of the State Islamic University of Sunan Kalijaga. This system uses MYSQL which means Open Resource-Based. SIPRUS has the same task to collect, process, conserve, refind the information, borrow and restore the book to the circulation section, and statistical functions to know the user's data, the library uses information technology to collect data as the library collection. In accordance with this analysis of the results, it can be said that OPAC is very helpful for users in searching for efficient and effective information.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana tingkat kebermanfaatan Perpustakaan Digital Fakultas Teknik Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) dalam pemenuhan kebutuhan informasi pemustaka menggunakan pendekatan usability testing. Jenis penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kuantitatif dengan subjek penelitian pemustaka Perpustakaan Fakultas Teknik UGM yang menggunakan bahan informasi digital dan objek penelitian adalah kemanfaatan perpustakaan digital Fakultas Teknik UGM dalam pemenuhan kebutuhan informasi pemustaka. Teknik pengumpulan data penelitian ini adalah kuesioner, wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh civitas akademik Fakultas Teknik UGM yang berstatus sebagai mahasiswa dengan jumlah 12.666 orang. Dari populasi tersebut diambil sampel berdasar rumus slovin, dan didapat sampel sebanyak 100 responden. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan adalah pusposive sampling. Variabel dalam penelitian ini bersifat tunggal yaitu kebermanfaatan Perpustakaan Digital Fakultas Teknik UGM  dalam pemenuhan kebutuhan informasi pemustaka. Pengukuran kemanfaatan perpustakaan digital yang digunakan berdasarkan dimensi Usability Testing menurut ISO 9241-11 yang terdiri dari tiga komponen yaitu efektivitas (effectiveness), efisiensi (efficiency) dan kepuasan (satisfaction). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa keseluruhan nilai rata-rata dari ketiga indikator yang dihitung menggunakan rumus Mean dan Grand Mean diperoleh hasil sebesar 3,042 sehingga dapat dikategorikan baik. Adapun rincian untuk masing-masing indikator yaitu untuk indikator efektivitas (effectiveness) sebesar 3,045 dan dikategorikan baik, indikator efisiensi (efficiency) sebesar 3,131 dan dikategorikan baik, dan indikator kepuasan (satisfaction) sebesar 2,951 dan dikategorikan baik. Berdasarkan hasil perhitungan menggunakan rumus skala interval tersebut dapat diketahui bahwa kemanfaatan Perpustakaan Digital dalam pemenuhan kebutihan informasi pemustaka menggunakan pendekatan usability testing sudah tergolong baik. Hasil penelitian memberikan rekomendasi kepada Perpustakaan Fakultas Teknik UGM untuk menyediakan dan mempromosikan bahan informasi digital agar pemenuhan kebutuhan informasi pemustaka dapat lebih dimaksimalkan.Kata Kunci: Perpustakaan Digital; Usability Testing

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of applying inquiry learning strategies to the lack of critical thinking andcreativity in elementary school students. The method used is a qualitative method based on the results ofliteratureresearch, namely collecting data from books, journals, theses, and others related to the relationship in the discussion. Elementary Student Creativity. In its implementation, this inquiry approach trains students on problems that have intellectual challenges and is planned in activities whose purpose is to guide children to be able to find something for themselves.
