Abstract

Teaching material is an essential component of learning. Teaching materials for Calculus courses, especially for the Department of Informatics, remains limited and orients towards a collection of materials and questions that cannot overcome the differences in student characteristics. Therefore, in the form of learning modules that can accommodate variations in student characteristics is a crucial need in teaching material. In this study, the learning module based differentiated instruction was compiled by taking into account the different characteristics of student ability levels. This study aimed to determine the effectiveness of Calculus learning by using learning modules based on differentiated instruction to students' conceptual understanding of the material of qualities and inequalities of absolute value. This research was experimental research and the subjects were the Informatics Engineering students of the University of Darussalam Gontor, enrolled in the first semester in the academic year 2018-2019. The research instrument was tests of conceptual understanding consisting of short-answer problems given at the beginning and the end of learning. The design of this study used One-Group Pretest-Postest Design and data analysis involved a Wilcoxon test due to the small number of subjects (25 people). The results of the analysis showed that the use of the learning modules based on differentiated instruction effectively enhanced the mathematical conceptual understanding of students.

Abstract

This study aimed to analyse the difference in the mathematical thinking abilities of Informatics Engineering students based on gender in Calculus problem-solving. Mathematical thinking ability was measured based on four indicators of the mathematical thinking process, namely specialisation, generalising, conjecturing, and convincing. The instruments in this study were mathematical thinking tests and observation sheets. The test used in this study was composed of four questions by indicators of the mathematical thinking process.  The technique of data collection was the test, observation, and interview. Subjects of this study consisted of 35 male students and 22 female students. Data were analysed using the t-test. The results of the analysis showed that there is a significant difference in the mathematical thinking ability of male and female students. Mathematical thinking abilities of female students reached indicators of specialisation, generalising, and conjecturing. On the other hand,  mathematical thinking abilities of male students passed the elements of speciality and generalising.

Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic that occurred starting in early December 2019 had a major impact on the world of education. Therefore, it is necessary to develop a flipped classroom-based mathematical learning model. The purpose of this study was to find out the effect of flipped classroom-based mathematical learning model on students of the Mathematics Education study program on Multivariable Calculus courses. This research is a pseudo-experimental study. The subject of this study is a mathematics education student who is pursuing multivariable calculus courses that are directly involved in the learning model applied at West Kalimantan which is divided into two classes with each class consisting of 15 students. Experimental classes are given learning using Flipped Classroom-based learning models while control classes are given learning with online learning using google classroom. This research design uses a randomized control group posttest only design. Data analysis techniques also use Mann-Whitney nonparametric hypothesis tests. The results of the study that has been conducted show a significance value of 0.015 less than the significance level of 0.05 so it can be concluded that there is a real difference between the control learning model and the Flipped Classroom model or the flipped classroom learning model effective to improve student learning outcomes.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine differences in the computational thinking skills of first students of the Department of Informatics Engineering based on genders. This study uses quasi-experimental methods. The subjects in this study were semester two students of the Department of Informatics Engineering in 2019/2020. The research subjects were 34 male students and 23 female students. Methods of data collection using tests and observations. The research instrument used was a computational thinking ability test and an observation sheet. Data analysis using a t-test (independent sample) with analysis prerequisites in normality and homogeneity tests. Test analysis utilizing the help of IBM SPSS Statistics 20. The study of research data shows that there are significant differences between the computational thinking ability of male and female students. The average results of the computational thinking ability test showed that male students' computational thinking ability is better than the female students' computational thinking ability. The male and female students' computational thinking skills reach the generalization stage, where male students can find solutions directly through easy-to-understand and straightforward ideas. Meanwhile, female students can explain the flow and concepts used to solve problems.  AbstrakTujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui perbedaan kemampuan berpikir komputasi mahasiswa semester awal jurusan Teknik Informatika berdasarkan jenis kelamin. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimen semu. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa semester 2 jurusan Teknik Informatika tahun ajaran 2019/2020. Subjek penelitian adalah 34 siswa laki-laki dan 23 siswa perempuan. Metode pengumpulan data menggunakan tes dan observasi. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan adalah tes kemampuan berpikir komputasi dan lembar observasi. Analisis data menggunakan uji-t dengan prasyarat analisis berupa uji normalitas dan homogenitas. Uji analisis menggunakan bantuan IBM SPSS Statistics 20. Hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara kemampuan berpikir komputasi siswa laki-laki dan perempuan. Hasil rata-rata tes kemampuan berpikir komputasi diperoleh bahwa kemampuan berpikir komputasi siswa laki-laki lebih baik daripada kemampuan berpikir komputasi siswa perempuan. Kemampuan berpikir komputasi mahasiswa putra dan putri mencapai tahap generalisasi, dimana mahasiswa putra mampu mencari penyelesaian secara langsung melalui ide sederhana dan mudah dipahami. Sedangkan mahasiswa putri mampu menjelaskan alur dan konsep yang digunakan untuk menyelesaikan masalah.

Abstract

Penggunaan teknologi fingerprint scanner telah berkembang pesat dan luas, terutama dalam bidang keamanan. Pada instansi perkantoran maupun pendidikan fingerprint digunakan sebagai alat absensi karena tidak dapat dipalsukan. Universitas Darussalam Gontor sebagai lembaga pendidikan juga menggunakan fingerprint sebagai alat absensi mahasiswa ke masjid. Absensi mahasiswa ke masjid dijadikan sebagai salah satu penilaian non-akademik mahasiswa. Absensi menggunakan fingerprintscanner baru pertama kali digunakan pada tahun ajaran 2018/2019 sehingga memerlukan evaluasi untuk mengetahui keberhasilan sistem dan kepuasan pengguna. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menentukan faktor yang mempengaruhi kepuasan mahasiswa terhadap fingerprintscanner dan menentukan indeks kepuasan mahasiswa terhadap fingerprintscanner. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode StructuralEquationModeling (SEM) untuk menganalisis hubungan antara kualitas sistem fingerprintscanner dengan kepuasan mahasiswa. Kualitas sistem pada fingerprintscanner diukur berdasarkan teori DeLone & McLean yang terdiri dari enam variabel yaitu kualitas sistem, kualitas informasi, kualitas layanan, penggunaan, kepuasan pengguna dan manfaat bersih. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah metode random sampling. Data dikumpulkan dengan menyebarkan kuesioner secara acak kepada 116 mahasiswa UNIDA Gontor. Untuk menganalisis data menggunakan bantuan software AMOS. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa model DeLone & McLean dapat digunakan untuk mengukur kepuasan mahasiswa terhadap sistem fingerprintscanner masjid karena model teridentifikasi dan memenuhi kriteria GoodnessofFit. Hasil penelitian menjelaskan bahwa indeks kepuasan mahasiswa UNIDA Gontor terhadap sistem fingerprintscanner masjid sangat tinggi sebesar 76,5%.

Abstract

AbstrakPT. Zenith Material Solution adalah perusahaan yang menjadi bagian dari MR Corporation yang berada di wilayah Tambun Selatan, Bekasi, Jawa Barat. Perusahaan ini berfokus kepada bisnis plastik serta bahan PVC untuk bahan baku industri. Rumusan masalah dari penelitian ini yaitu belum terintegrasinya data transaksi perusahaan dengan penjurnalan di PT. Zenith Material Solution. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk merancang suatu sistem informasi akuntansi untuk PT. Zenith Material Solution yang didalamnya terdapat integrasi antara data transaksi perusahaan dengan penjurnalan. Sistem informasi akuntansi ini menggunakan bahasa pemrograman PHP yang dibantu dengan framework Laravel versi 5.8. Perancangan sistem dilakukan menggunakan metode waterfall. Pengujian fungsi fitur pada sistem informasi akuntansi ini menggunakan metode black-box dengan hasil yaitu fitur-fitur pada sistem dapat berjalan dengan baik sesuai dengan fungsinya, sedangkan pengujian kepada pengguna menggunakan kuesioner pernyataan kepada staf akuntan PT. Zenith Material Solution serta kuesioner uji validitas sistem akuntansi kepada validator ahli. Hasil penelitian ini adalah sistem informasi akuntansi berbasis web yang mampu mengintegrasikan antara transaksi pembelian ataupun penjualan dengan penjurnalan sehingga dapat menghasilkan output berupa laporan keuangan yang valid. Untuk tahap selanjutnya, sistem dapat dikembangkan kembali dengan penambahan fitur seperti menu akun dan buku besar pembantu, fitur cetak faktur pajak serta fitur cetak surat jalan.Kata kunci: Sistem Informasi Akuntansi, Integrasi, Transaksi, Laporan Keuangan, PT Zenit Abstract[Design and Building of Web-based Accounting Information System of Zenith Material Solution Incorporation] Zenith Material Solution Inc. is a company that is being part of MR Corporation placed at South Tambun, Bekasi, West Java. This company focused on plastics and PVC business as raw materials for industries. The problem is that the company's transaction data has not been integrated with journalizing at Zenith Material Solution Inc. This research proposes an accounting information system that includes integration between the company's transaction data and journalizing. This accounting information system created using PHP programming languages, which assisted with Laravel framework 5.8. It has been designed with a waterfall method. Function's features of this accounting information system are tested with the black-box way, where its result that the parts of this system can run well with their respective functions. Besides, users are trying to use a statement questionnaire to the accountants of Zenith Material Solution and a questionnaire to test the accounting system's validity to expert validators. These research results are a web-based accounting information system that can integrate purchase or sales transaction data with journalizing to produce output in the form of accurate financial reports. Abstract

AbstrakBahasa  Jepang  merupakan  salah  satu  bahasa  asing  yang  banyak  diminati  dan dipelajari oleh berbagai kalangan di Indonesia, karena Bahasa Jepang memiliki keunikan  tersendiri. Kelompok Studi Bahasa (KSB) Jepang merupakan salah satu Unit Kegiatan Mahasiswa (UKM) di Universitas Darussalam (UNIDA) Gontor sebagai wadah untuk belajar bahasa Jepang. Metode pembelajaran yang digunakan masih konvensional berupa diskusi bersama. Hal ini menyebabkan mahasiswa kesulitan dalam mempelajari kosakata, pola kalimat dan ungkapan Bahasa Jepang. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menunjang pembelajaran bahasa Jepang mahasiswa di UNIDA Gontor khususnya untuk anggota KSB Jepang. Pengerjaan aplikasi ini menggunakan langkah - langkah metode waterfall. Pengujian aplikasi Da.N.Go ini dilakukan dengan 5 pengujian. Uji pertama dengan metode blackbox menunjukkan bahwa aplikasi sudah berjalan lancar dan tidak ada error. Uji kedua penggunaan perangkat keras dengan lima buah media smartphone berbagai merk dan ukuran layar menunjukkan aplikasi berjalan dengan baik pada smartphone berukuran minimal 4.1 inchi dengan spesifikasi sistem operasi minimal Android 5.0 (Lollipop). Uji ketiga dilakukan kepada seorang ahli materi pembelajaran Bahasa Jepang memberikan nilai 92%. Uji keempat dilakukan kepada beberapa anggota KSB Jepang memberikan nilai rata-rata 88%. Uji kelima dilakukan kepada pengguna umum Google Playstore mulai tanggal 15 Agustus 2020 – 28 Oktober 2020 menghasilkan nilai 4.6 dari 5 (total rating tertinggi) berjumlah 37 orang  (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=dango.vicky.daisukinanihongo). Media ini bersifat sebagai media penunjang proses pembelajaran bahasa Jepang tetapi tidak dapat menggantikan peran guru yang sesungguhnya. Bagi peneliti atau pengembang selanjutnya diharapkan untuk dapat disempurnakan sampai seluruh mahasiswa dan dosen bisa menggunakan dan memanfaatkan aplikasi ini di masa depan.Kata kunci: Media Pembelajaran, Android, Bahasa Jepang. Abstract[Mobile Based Japanese Language Learning Media] Japanese is one of the foreign languages that are in great demand and studied by various groups in Indonesia because Japanese has its uniqueness. The Japanese Language Study Group is one of the UKM at the UNIDA Gontor as a forum for learning Japanese. The learning method used is still conventional in the form of collective discussion. It causes students to have difficulty learning Japanese vocabulary, sentence patterns, and expressions. This research aims to support the Japanese language learning of students at UNIDA Gontor, especially for members of the Japanese KSB. The execution of this application uses the waterfall method steps. Testing the Da.N.Go application is carried out with five tests. The first test with the black box method shows that the application runs smoothly, and there are no errors. The second test of using hardware with five smartphone media of various brands and screen sizes shows that the application runs well on a smartphone with a minimum length of 4.1 inches with a minimum operating system specification of Android 5.0 (Lollipop). The third test was conducted on an expert in Japanese learning materials giving a score of 92 %. The fourth test was carried out on several Japanese KSB giving an average score of 88%. The fifth test was conducted on general users of Google Playstore from 15 August 2020 - 28 October 2020, resulting in a 4.6 out of 5 (highest total rating) totaling 37 people (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=dango.vicky.daisukinanihongo). This media has the character of supporting the Japanese language learning process, but it cannot replace the real teacher's role. Abstract

Setiap tahun, pada bulan Desember dilaksanakan acara wisuda bagi santri TPA binaan Universitas Darussalam Gontor (UNIDA Gontor) yang dinyatakan lulus ujian. Para santri tersebut harus lulus empat tahapan ujian, yaitu lisan, praktik, tulis dan Al-Quran. Pada sistem penilaian yang ada saat itu, masih menggunakan perhitungan rata-rata. Padahal menurut evaluasi para Ustadz dan kepala Lembaga Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (LPkM) mestinya ujian Al-Quran menjadi prioritas utama. Maka hasil evaluasi memberi rekomendasi bahwa ujian Al-Quran wajib dimasukkan dalam prioritas utama dengan bobot paling besar sebagai acuan penentuan kelulusan. Untuk mendapatkan sebuah prioritas dalam penilaian perlu sebuah metode yang memberikan bobot nilai yang multi attribute, diantaranya Weight Product (WP). Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menerapkan metode WP untuk seleksi kelulusan santri wisuda TPA UNIDA Gontor dalam bentuk sistem informasi. Pengembangan sistem informasi berbasis web menggunakan bahasa pemrograman PHP dan MySQL. Pengujian sistem dilakukan dengan metode black box dan kuesioner. Pengujian sistem menggunakan metode black box menghasilkan alur dan rangkaian sistem yang diharapkan tanpa ada error. Pengujian sistem dengan penyebaran kuesioner menggunakan skala Likert menghasilkan nilai rata-rata keseluruhan sebesar 4,47 dengan rentang kepuasan “tinggi”. Hasil dari penerapan metode WP ini sudah berjalan sesuai prioritas nilai ujian sesuai dengan aturan LPkM. Pada penelitian berikutnya bisa dikembangkan dengan metode lain diantaranya SAW, TOPSIS, AHP, ARAS dan lain sebagainya. AbstractEvery year, in December, a graduation ceremony is held for TPA students assisted by the University of Darussalam Gontor (UNIDA Gontor) who have passed the exam. The students must pass four stages of the exam: oral, practical, written, and Al-Quran. In the current rating system, it is still using the average calculation. According to the evaluation of the teacher and the head of LPkM, the Al-Quran exam should be the top priority. Then the assessment has a recommendation to gives direction to the stages of the Al-Quran examination included in the top priority. To prioritize the review needs a multi-attribute weight value method, including Weight Product (WP). This study aims to apply the WP method to select prospective students graduating from TPA UNIDA Gontor in the form of information systems. Development of Web-based information systems using PHP and MySQL programming languages. System testing has done using black-box testing and the questionnaire. Testing using the black-box produces expected system paths and sequences without any errors. Testing the system by distributing questionnaires using a Likert scale provides an overall average value of 4.47 with a "high" satisfaction range. The results of the WP method's application have been running according to the priority of the test scores by the rules of LPkM. Other methods can be applied in further research, including SAW, TOPSIS, AHP, ARAS, etc.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan pengaruh  pembelajaran matematika menggunakan mobile learning dengan pendekatan Differentiated Instruction (DI) terhadap hasil belajar matematika siswa. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimentasi semu dengan populasi seluruh siswa kela VIII SMP Negeri 1 Menyuke. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan metode dokumentasi dan tes. Analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah One Way Anova dengan prasyarat analisisnya uji normalitas dan uji homogenitas. Hasil uji prasyarat analisis menunjukkan bahwa data yang didapatkan bahwa ketiga data berdistribusi normal dan homogen. Uji One Way Anova menunjukan hasil signifikan 0,00 < 0,05 yang artinya terdapat perbedaan hasil belajar antara pembelajaran langsung, mobile learning maupun mobile learning dengan DI, selanjutnya dilakukan uji pasca anava untuk mengetahui metode pembelajaran yang efektif. Hasil uji pasca anava menunjukkan bahwa mobile learning dengan DI lebih efektif dibandingkan mobile learning maupun pembelajaran langsung. Sementara, mobile learning lebih efektif dibandingkan pembelajaran langsung.

Abstract

This study aims to determine whether or not a significant relationship between the readiness of learning and students' achievement in Calculus. This study was conducted in the odd semester of the academic year 2016/2017. The population in this study is the students of Informatics Engineering, University of Darussalam Gontor who took calculus course consisting of 50 people. Data collection in this research using questionnaire and documentation method.The research instruments used are questionnaire. Techniques of analysis data used are Product Moment correlation and simple linear regression analysis with prerequisite analyses those are normality and linearity test applied to know the influence of readiness study toward the students' achievement in Calculus course. The analysis result of Product Moment correlation show that the coefficient of readiness is 0.808 with significance score 0,00. This means that there is a positive and significant correlation between the readiness of learning and the students' achievement in the Calculus course. While the results of Linear Regression analysis shows that determination coefficient is 0.652. It means that the readiness of study gives an effect of 65,2% on the students' achievement in Calculus course.
