Abstract

Lactic acid bacteria were known has a potential for biopreservative and maintaining the safety of food products. The purpose of this research was to obtain lactic acid bacteria that capable to inhibit harmful bacteria in fisheries products. The stages of the methods were isolation of lactic acid bacteria from the digestive tract tilapia and frigate tuna with MRS agar + CaCO3, antibacterial test against Bacillus subtilis, Morganella morganii, and Escherichia coli using agar well diffusion method and test the alleged strengthening  lactic acid bacteria. The results showed that there were two isolates of lactic acid bacteria that have the greatest inhibitory for harmful bacteria tested.Key words: antibacterial, biopreservative, inhibitor harmful bacteria, lactic acid  bacteria

Sasanti AD, Anggraini SP. 2019. The utilizing of probiotics for catfish sangkuriang (Clarias sp.) cultivation in plastic pond at Arisan Jaya Village Ogan Ilir, South Sumatera. Jurnal Lahan Suboptimal: Journal of Suboptimal Lands. 8(2):134-140. The research was to provide information to farmers on the use probiotics on catfish (Clarias sp.). The used of probiotics aimed to maintain balance pathogenic microbes and suppress activity in the digestive tract , and the environmental biodegradation waters through the process. This study aimed to compare of field Practice is to provide information to the people about the utilizing of probiotics for catfish (Clarias sp.) cultivation a plastic drums at Arisan Jaya village Ogan Ilir. The research used two plastic drum media as a catfish maintenance container,  the first maintenance container there was no addition of probiotics, while in the second maintenance container there was the addition of probiotics. The parameters were observed in this study were absolute weight growth, absolute the length growth, survival, and water quality. The result of this research showed that growth of catfish cultivation in plastic pond with length of 3,51cm and weight of catfish the used probiotics of 17,15 g was higher than the growth length of 2,46 cm and weight of catfish were not using probiotics of 12,03 g. The survival rate of the catfish utilizing of probiotics cultivation in plastic drums with the use probiotics and not use probiotics was  100%.

Abstract

Ascorbic acid was one of the important nutrients for fish because it has the property as an antioxidant and imunomodulator that can improve the performance of fish. The purpose of this research is to support the production of snakehead fish (Channa striata) that have good growth and immunity. This research used a complete randomized design (CRD) consisted of 3 treatments and 3 replications. Ascorbic acid treatment consisted of P1 (0 mg.kg-1), P2 (50 mg.kg-1) and P3 (100 mg.kg-1). The results showed that the maintenance of snakehead fish (Channa striata) given ascorbic acid  with a doses of 100 mg.kg-1  for 30 days gave the best growth results and significantly different and absolute weight growth reached 1.83 g, absolute length of 18.7 mm and survival reached 95 , 83 %. For immunity performance, it can be seen from survival of fish exposed to salinity 20 ppt during 15 minute reach 73,3 % and formalin 10 % for 10 minute reach 66,7 % and disease prevalence percentage reach 16,7 %

Abstract

ABSTRACT Daphnia sp. cultivation needs feed to support it’s growth. Rice bran fermented is a likes of material than can be used is feed for Daphnia sp.. The purpose of this research was to know the effect of different frequency of rice bran to population density and population growth of Daphnia sp.. the feed given must be complicated the need of Daphnia sp. as quantitys, quantitative, and feeding frequency. This research was conducted at Laboratorium Dasar Perikanan, Program Study of Aquaculture, Faculty of Agriculture, Sriwijaya University, Indralaya since October until November 2015. This study used randomized completely design method with six treatments and three replications. The treatments were, A: Feeding Frequency ones per day was (07.00 WIB), B: Feeding Frequency twice per day (07.00, 17.00 WIB), C: Feeding Frequency three times per day (07.00, 12.00, 17.00 WIB), D: Feeding Frequency ones per two days (07.00 WIB), E: Feeding Frequency twice per two days (07.00, 17.00 WIB) and F: Feeding Frequency three times per two days (07.00, 12.00, 17.00 WIB). The result indicated that frequency of rice bran fermented using tape yeast twice per day 5 mL.L-1 in once given everyday (treatments B) has the highest of population density and population growth 1,584.33 Ind.L-1 of result density and 39.72%.day.-1 of population growth. Keywords : Daphnia sp., rice bran, feeding frequency, tape yeast

Abstract

Warisan et al, 2019.The Content of Lysine and Growth of Snakehead Fish (Channa striata) Fed by Different Feed. pp. 384-393. Essential amino acids are amino acids that cannot be synthesized by the body so that they require outside intake. One of the essential amino acids in snakehead fish is lysine. Lysine plays a role in the process of antibody formation, blood circulation and growth. The feed given to snakehead fish that is cultivated also determines the content of snakehead lysine. The purpose of this study was to determine the content of lysine and the growth of snakehead fish fed differently. The study was conducted from May to July 2018 at Laboratorium Kolam Percobaan, Faculty of Agriculture and Laboratorium Bioproses, Faculty of Engineering of Sriwijaya University. The study was designed using a completely randomized design with three treatments, each repeated four times. The Treatments are the different types of feed given, P1 fish were given commercial feed with 32% protein; P2 fish is given commercial feed with 32% protein and 3.5% black cumin added; P3 fish are fed with fresh water and sea water fish flesh in a ratio of 1: 1. Fish cultured is carried out for 30 days in hapa in a concrete pond. Density of fish is 2 fish per liter. Fish are fed at satiation with a frequency of three times a day. The snakehead fish treated with freshwater and marine trash fish produced the highest increase in lysine content, which was 0.060 mg / ml while P1 was 0.024 mg / ml and P2 0.031 mg / ml. The absolute growth of snakehead fish in each treatment was P1 1.34 cm; P2 1.24 cm; P3 is 1.93 cm and absolute weight growth is P1 2.31 g; P2 2.17 g; P3 3.58 g. The results showed that different types of feed were not significantly affected the levels of snakehead fish lysine but significantly affected the growth of snakehead fish.
