Abstract

This research was motivated by the abundance of coconut shell waste in Lamongan and the decreased interest of children in traditional games. Therefore, this research is done intending to discover the utilization of coconut shell waste as egrang to increase children’s kinesthetic intelligence and to grow interest in traditional games. The method used in this study is experimental design, with data collection techniques in the form of observation and documentation in 12 children in group A of TK 02 Mazro’atul Ulum Paciran. In developing kinesthetic intelligence using the traditional game of egrang by teaching children group A kindergarten 02 Mazro’atul Ulum Paciran how to make egrang from coconut shell and doing activities to play egrang together. Based on observations, mentoring, data collection, and the results of tests that have been carried out, it can be concluded that there is a significant effect of playing egrang to increase kinesthetic intelligence and foster interest in traditional games in children in group A of TK 02 Mazro'atul Ulum Paciran Lamongan. Where the independent sample t-test results obtained with a probability value of p-value <0.05 and a t-value of 12.457 which is in the H0 area is rejected.

Abstract

Acids and bases are basic principles in science, especially chemistry which really needs to be learned for everyone, introducing the principles of acids and bases to children is very important to do so they love science more in the future. Dyes found in nature, especially those derived from plants, when they are in a solution, their color depends on the pH atmosphere, so they can be used as indicators or indicators of acids and bases in solutions. Introducing science from an early age means helping children to start thinking critically and logically. Science helps children experiment, explore and observe their surroundings. This slowly builds children's character to get used to thinking scientifically, is skilled at solving problems, and has high analysis. To introduce science to children, it needs to be packaged in an interesting way, one of which is science magic. To test whether the butterfly pea flower extract has a good pH range, it is first tested in solutions with all pHs from 1 to 14, and the results show that the butterfly pea flower has a good color range, while for scientific magic it is done by making three clear solutions that are not colored, each labeled A, B and C then the solution is given a butterfly pea flower extract and the results show three different colors, solution A is red, solution B is blue and solution C is yellow, in magic the solution A contains an acidic solution, solution B contains plain water and solution C contains an alkaline solution. The results of this study indicate that the quality of science learning media which is the magic game using butterfly pea flowers has the potential to be used as a medium for introducing science at the elementary school level. The conclusion from this study is that it is necessary to design the development of science learning media in the form of magic games to develop higher quality children's cognition so that they are very suitable for use in learning activities.

Abstract

Matematika merupakan bidang studi yang diajarkan mulai dari SD hingga SLTA dan perguruan tinggi. Meskipun banyak dianggap sulit, matematika adalah ilmu penting untuk mengembangkan pola pikir kita dan berperan dalam berbagai aspek kehidupan. Etnomatematika adalah pendekatan pembelajaran matematika yang menggunakan budaya lokal untuk memahami konsep matematika. Hal ini mampu memotivasi siswa dalam belajar matematika. Terdapat keterkaitan antara matematika dan Alquran. Filosofi matematika sebagian bersumber dari Alquran, yang menyentuh tentang teori bilangan. Beberapa ayat dalam Alquran seperti Al-Kahfi ayat 22, Al-Kahfi ayat 25, Al-Ankabut ayat 14, Al-Baqarah ayat 261, dan An-Nisa’ ayat 11-12, memiliki kaitan dengan konsep matematika. Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan pembelajaran matematika, terutama teori bilangan, dengan memanfaatkan nilai budaya lokal berbasis Alquran. Metode penelitian kualitatif digunakan dengan observasi dan studi pustaka. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan hubungan antara kisah dalam Alquran dengan konsep matematika, membuktikan bahwa matematika dapat digunakan untuk memecahkan persoalan dalam Islam. Penelitian tentang etnomatematika berbasis Alquran diharapkan mempermudah pembelajaran matematika dan membuktikan keterkaitannya dengan Alquran. Dengan demikian, matematika bukan hanya sebagai pelajaran biasa, tetapi juga memiliki nilai dan kegunaan dalam pandangan agama.
