Abstract

The aim of the society services through the air broadcast in Radio of Indonesian Republic of Surakarta were: (1) to improve the society’s motivation, especially for them who were students in order to appreciate the literature; (2) to improve the society’s concerns, especially for those who students in improving their literature appreciation ability in order to attain the man who has wise character because the literature have the education values which could be the basic consideration in conducting the behaviour; (3) to enlarge the listeners’  knowledge, especilly for the students who need the knowledge of linguistics, literature, and its teaching; (4) to create the institution cooperation between the Muhammadiyah University of Surakarta and the government institution i.e. Radio of Indonesian Republic o f Surakarta. The social service was conducted in RRI Surakarta, in the form of speech broadcast, based on the paper prepared before. The broadcast activity is conducted by recording before its on air. The recording process used the facility of RRI Surakarta by the guidance of RRI Surakarta staff as the responsible or the recording section. The broadcast is delivered by a speaker with the different topics but in the same theme. The broadcast theme of the three months is “Improving the Ability of Literature Appreciation through the Broadcast Guidance of Bahasa Indonsia in RRI Surakarta”. The six times broadcast activity planned for three months can be conducted four times of new broadcast and twice of recorded broadcast.

Abstract

The study aims to describe 1) the academic interaction and 2) communication form between the students and their academic lecturers of the Study Program of Indonesian Language Education, Faculty of Trainer and Training Education, Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta. It employed a descriptive-qualitative approach. The data collection used the techniques of in-depth interview, observation, and documentation. The data sources were obtained from the the students and their lecturers. The data were the academic interaction and communication forms. The data validity applied a data or source triangulation. The data analysis employed an interactive model: data reduction, data display, and conclusion. The results of the study show that the academic interaction and communication form consist of informative, persuasive, and argumentative verbal. Furthermore, the forms are in a one-way, two-way, and multiple-way communications.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengindentifikasi bentuk pembinaan yang dilakukan sekolah dalam menangani perilaku menyimpang remaja (juvenile delinquensi) bagi siswa SMA. Pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini pengumpulan data wawancara tertulis. Wawancara tertulis dilakukan kepada mahasiswa baru program studi Pendidikan Bahasa Indonesia, Fakultas Keguruan dan Ilmu Pendidikan, Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta saat berada di semester 1. Mahasiswa baru merupakan alumni yang baru saja lulus dari SMA dengan pengalaman sebagai pengamat dan atau juga pelaku kenakalan remaja yang terjadi di sekolah. Selain itu, wawancara juga dilakukan kepada guru bimbingan konseling sekolah menengah atas yang ada di Surakarta. Wawancara tertulis ini dilakukan secara snowball yang selanjutnya dianalisis dengan analisis isi (content analysis). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat 7 variasi bentuk pembinaan yang dilakukan sekolah, di antaranya (1) pemberian nasihat, (2) pemberian motivasi, (3) pemberian pengarahan dan memanggil wali murid, (4) sosialisasi pengenalan lingkungan sekolah saat MOS, (5) hukuman yang disesuaikan dengan jenis pelanggaran, (6) diberi pelatihan dasar kepemimpinan, dan (7) dilakukan home visiting. Bentuk pembinaan yang diberikan disesuaikan dengan pelanggaran yang dilakukan siswa. Kata kunci: pembinaan, pencegahan, perilaku menyimpang, kenakalan remaja

Abstract

This research aimed to describe reviews of teachers’ characters found in students’ autobiography. This research belonged in the field of Indonesian Language Education, and the data were in the form of students’ autobiography, written in Indonesian. A descriptive-qualitative approach was utilized to observe the attitude, behavior, or perception of autobiographers about their teachers’ characters in the past. The source triangulation was used to verify the validity of the data. The data were analyzed through a comparative method using referential and marker reading techniques, in addition to the focused-group discussion. The results of this research show that the teachers’ characters portrayed in students’ autobiography includes: (1) positive characters: responsible, patient, caring, easy to understand, fair, making students smart, inspiring creativity; and (2) negative characters: fierce/yelling, scary in anger, hard to understand, flirty. From the results, it can be concluded that students’ autobiography evidently helps measure the quality of teachers’ characters, and negative characters reduce the learning process’s effectiveness.

Abstract

This research was conducted to determine the code mixing patterns contained in the conversation between teachers and students on WhatsApp group class XII SMK Muhammadiyah 2 Andong. This research belongs to a qualitative descriptive study. The data used in the management of this research is in the form of writing, which is in the form of digital communication between teachers and students on the Whatsapp group media. The data sources of this research came from teachers and students of class XII SMK Muhammadiyah 2 Andong. The data were collected using listening techniques, tapping techniques, listening techniques without proficient involvement, and note taking techniques. The data analysis technique used is the BUL technique as the basic technique and the non-parafrasal form changing technique as a follow-up technique. The results of the analysis show that there are 3 type of code mixing with 9 patterns of mixing code in the speech. The code mix is divided into 2 patterns, namely Java-Indonesia-Java and Java-Indonesia-Java-Indonesia-Java-Indonesia. Mix code out is divided into 4 patterns, including: 1) Indonesian-English-Indonesian; 2) Javanese-English-Javanese; 3) English-Indonesian-English-Indonesian-English-Indonesian; 4) English-Javanese-English-Javanese. Meanwhile, mixed code mix was found in 3 patterns, including: 1) Indonesian-Javanese-English; 2) Indonesian-English-Javanese; and 3) Indonesian-English-Indonesian-Javanese.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengidentifikasi wujud nilai karakter gotong royong dalam teks nusantara bertutur pada harian kompas dan implikasinya pada pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia tingkat sekolah dasar. Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian kualitatif dengan menerapkan metode deskriptif. Sumber data dalam penelitian ini yaitu teks dongeng yang diterbitkan melalui laman https://klasika.kompas.id/. Data dalam penelitian ini yaitu teks dongeng nusantara bertutur yang dimuat sejak bulan Januari hingga Maret 2021. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu teknik simak, catat, dan dokumentasi. Analisis data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan teknik analisis isi (Content Analysis). Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa mengenai wujud integrasi nilai karakter gotong royong yang merupakan salah satu dari kelima karakter utama yang dicanangkan pemerintah, dalam teks dongeng nusantara bertutur tersebut wujud integrasi nilai karakter gotong royong dapat terlihat dari beberapa aspek, antara lain (1) watak tokoh (penokohan), (2) peristiwa yang dialami tokoh (hal-hal yang dialami oleh tokoh dalam cerita), dan (3) dialog antar tokoh (percakapan antar tokoh cerita). Berdasarkan hasil analisis yang telah dilakukan, teks nusantara bertutur bisa dimanfaatkan pada pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia jenjang Sekolah Dasar kelas III pada KD 3.8  menguraikan pesan dalam dongeng yang disajikan secara lisan, tulis, dan visual dengan tujuan untuk kesenangan dan 4.8 memeragakan pesan dalam dongeng sebagai bentuk ungkapan diri menggunakan kosakata baku dan kalimat efektif.

Abstract

The phrase Wisdom that can be abbreviated (UH) is a summary that is pasted on the walls of the elementary school. The presence of language in UH is interesting to study and the results can be used in the field of education. This study has a goal, namely (1) to determine the form of expression of wisdom in SD Se-Residency Surakarta, (2) to find the values of character education that exist in the expression of wisdom. The type of research used is qualitative by using descriptive methods in describing the data found. The data in this study is UH which contains the value of character education. While the data sources used are sentences in UH on the walls of elementary schools in the Surakarta Residency area (Surakarta, Karanganyar, Sragen, Boyolali, Klaten, and Wonogiri). Data collection techniques used are observation, documentation, and note-taking techniques. The data analysis used were FGD, the distribution method with the Indirect Sharing (BUL) technique, and the matching technique with referential advanced techniques. For data validation used theory triangulation. The results of this study indicate that the UH at SD Se-Residency Surakarata contains 18 values of character education (religious, honest, democratic, tolerance, discipline, hard work, creative, independent, likes to read, cares about the environment, social care, curiosity). , love for the homeland, responsibility, national spirit, respect for achievement, friendly/communicative, and love peace)..

Abstract

Pemberdayaan anggota ‘Aisyiyah belum maksimal, terutama dalam kegiatan pengajian. Ibu-ibu anggota ‘Aisyiyah perlu didorong supaya berani berpidato. Program peningkatan kemampuan berpidato bagi kader Aisyiyah berbasis ranting bertujuan untuk memberi kesempatan kepada para ibu untuk meningkatkan keberanian dan kemampuan berpidato. Kegiatan ini melibatkan 12 ranting di Cabang Aisyiyah Kartasura, Sukoharjo, Jawa Tengah yang secara rutin melaksanakan kegiatan pengajian. Strategi pelaksanaan kegiatan ini terdiri dari tiga tahap. Pertama, identifikasi penceramah di setiap ranting untuk mendapatkan data yang pasti. Data diperoleh dengan metode angket melalui Whatsapp Group di Pimpinan Cabang Kartasura. Kedua, workshop pengkaderan mubalighot. Kegiatan Workshop dilaksanakan pada tanggal 20 September 2019, di Gedung Dakwah Muhammadiyah Kartasura. Ketiga, pendampingan pemberdayaan anggota yang dilakukan secara bertahap dan direncanakan terus menerus. Hasil pengabdian masyarakat ini berupa rintisan pengkaderan penceramah di PCA Kartasura, yang dapat ditarik simpulan: (1) kegiatan ini menjadi solusi untuk meningkatkan keterampilan berbicara anggota Aisyiyah melalui kegiatan pidato pada pengajian rutin; (2) semua ranting Aisyiyah berhasil menyusun jadwal pengajian rutin beserta nama mubaligh; (3) meningkatkan peran ibu-ibu anggota Aisyiyah di setiap ranting di Kecamatan Kartasura dalam kegiatan pengajian di ranting Aisyiyah dan lingkungannya. Hasil kegiatan ini perlu ditindaklanjuti dengan kegiatan-kegiatan yang terprogram dan terus-menerus.

Abstract

Abstrak Studi ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan wujud kesantunan berkomunikasi dalam media sosial WhatsApp antara mahasiswa dan dosen. Studi ini adalah kualitatif. Data dalam studi ini adalah kalimat-kalimat santun dalam wacana akademik di media sosial. Sumber data dalam studi ini adalah tuturan wacana akademik di media sosial. Pengumpulan data dalam studi ini menggunakan metode dokumentasi, simak, dan dilanjutkan dengan teknik catat. Analisis data dalam studi ini dilakukan dengan metode padan intralingual; padan pragmatis dan diperkuat dengan teknik analisis kesantunan Brown dan Levinson berperspektif humanis. Hasil studi ini menunjukkan tindak kesantunan positif meliputi: (1) mengucapkan terima kasih sebagai penghormatan kepada mitra tutur, 48%; (2) memberikan pertanyaan sebagai wujud perhatian kepada mitra tutur, 8%; (3) memberikan informasi kepada mitra tutur sebagai wujud kepedulian, 18%; (4) menunjukkan keoptimisan kepada mitra tutur supaya termotivasi, 4%; (5) memberikan hadiah kepada mitra tutur dengan memberikan dukungan, 4%; (6) mengucapkan salam kepada mitra tutur sebagai upaya mendoakan kebaikan kepada mitra tutur, 8%; dan (7) menggunakan penanda identitas sebagai wujud menjalin solidaritas antara penutur dan mitra tutur, 10%. Hal ini menunjukkan mahasiswa memiliki sikap penghormatan yang tinggi kepada dosen dengan menunjukkan komunikasi bernada positif. Tindak kesantunan mengucapkan terima kasih, memberikan informasi yang dibutuhkan mitra tutur, menunjukkan sikap percaya diri, mengucapkan salam merupakan wujud komunikasi yang berperspektif humanis, yakni menjunjung nilai-nilai kemanusian. Penelitian ini bermanfaat dalam membangun komunikasi pembelajaran yang berorientasi pada kesantunan berbahasa yang memartabatkan nilai-nilai humanitas dalam pembelajaran. This study is qualitative. The data in this study are polite sentences in academic discourse on social media. The data source in this study is the speech of academic discourse on social media. Data collection in this study uses the documentation method, refer to it, and proceed with note taking technique. Data analysis in this study was carried out using the intralingual equivalent method; pragmatic equivalent and strengthened by Brown and Levinson’s politeness analysis techniques with a sweet perspective. The results of this study show positive politeness actions include: (1) Thank you for the speech partner observer 48%; (2) giving questions as a form of attention to the speech partners 8%; (3) providing information to the speech partners as a form of concern 18%; (4) showing optimism for the speech partners to be motivated 4%; (5) giving gifts to speech partners by giving support 4%; (6) greeting the speech partners in an effort to pray for the kindness of the speech partners 8%; and (7) using identity markers as a form of establishing solidarity between the speaker and the speech partner 10%..
