Abstract

This study aimed to examine the effectiveness of blended learning on students' learning motivation at primary schools. The method used was descriptive research with a qualitative approach. The study was carried out by observing the blended learning process in the class without making changes to the observed class. The population in this study was all fourth graders, totaling 61 students. The research samples were all students of Class IVA, totaling 30 students. Blended learning was employed in this class. Questionnaires were distributed to the students who participated in blended learning to collect the research data. There were four indicators in the motivation questionnaire, namely persistence, tenacity in the face of difficulties, interest in learning, and confidence. The data from the questionnaires were then analyzed using a Likert scale. The results by the average indicator show that the student learning motivation is 94, which belongs to a very high category. The average value of each indicator is the persistence indicator scoring 97; the tenacity indicator in the face of difficulties is 90; the interest in learning indicator is 96; and the confidence indicator is 95. The results of the overall questionnaire analysis belong to the high category. Thus, it can be concluded that blended learning is effective in increasing the students' learning motivation at SDN 1 Lambheu, District of Aceh Besar. As blended learning provides opportunities for students to learn independently, the students can study anywhere and broaden their horizons by accessing the learning resources globally. Abstract

This study aims to describe the increase in scientific literacy through the implementation of the CCL model on energy and its changes. This type of research is a quasi-experimental design with one group pretest and posttest. This study uses a quantitative approach. The population in this study were all fourth-grade students at SDN Lampeuneurut with a total of 160 students. The sampling technique was random sampling, so the sample in the study was students of class IV-B totaling 40 students consisting of 22 female students and 18 male students. Data collection techniques in this study used observation sheets and test items. Data analysis techniques used percentages to measure the implementation of the CCL model, and scientific literacy analysis was carried out using gain. The results showed that the implementation of the CCL model was 83% which was categorized as good. The results of the scientific literacy analysis show an increase with a gain score for the problem identification indicator, namely 0.5; the indicator of drawing conclusions is 0.7 and the indicator of making decisions is 0.5. The increase in scientific literacy in the gain is categorized in the medium category. So it can be concluded that the implementation of the CCL model can increase elementary school students' scientific literacy in the subject of energy and its changes.

Abstract

Permasalahan yang ditemukan di lapangan saat pelaksanaan studi kasus terhadap proses pembelajaran kimia di SMA Negeri 11 Banda Aceh adalah sebagian besar peserta didik tidak mampu menyelesaikan soal-soal untuk memprediksikan terbentuknya endapan. Selain itu, pembelajaran praktikum masih banyak kendala dalam pelaksanaannya diantaranya keterbatasan waktu, khususnya waktu persiapan menjelang praktikum dan alokasi waktu belajar di kelas serta tidak semua topik dalam pembelajaran kimia dapat disampaikan dengan metode praktikum.Berdasarkan permasalahan tersebut peneliti ingin mengembangkan sebuah media interaktif. Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mengetahui keefektifan media interaktif berbasis Microsoft Excel terhadap keterampilan proses sains peserta didik  pada materi kelarutan dan hasil kali kelarutan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah eksperimen dengan metode Pretest-Postest One Group Design. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa media interaktif berbasis Microsoft Excel yang dikembangkan efektif terhadap keterampilan proses sains peserta didik  pada materi kelarutan dan hasil kali kelarutan dengan nilai rata-rata gain 0,53  pada kategori sedang. Tanggapan peserta didik  terhadap media interaktif berbasis Microsoft Excel yang dikembangkan pada materi kelarutan dan hasil kali kelarutan adalah 72,33% sangat setuju.
