Abstract

This study aimed at finding out the main characters’ personality in the novel of Negeri Para Bedebah by Tere Liye based on Carl Gustav Jung’s psychoanalysis. The research method used qualitative with content analysis. Data were collected by inventorying Thomas's conversation based on Carl Gustav Jung's psychoanalytic personality characteristic. It consists of think extrovert, feels extrovert, sense extrovert, intuition extrovert, think introvert, feel introvert, sensitive introvert, and intuition introvert. The results revealed that the discovery of eight main characters’ personality. First, think extrovert is demonstrated by the ability of intellectual analysis of objective experience. Second, feel extrovert is found by responding emotionally to objective reality. Third, sense extrovert is the tendency of figures to analyze the situation. Fourth, intuition extrovert is seen by its character does not care about logic. Fifth, think introvert figure depiction looks inflexible, cold, judge, and cruel. Sixth, feel introvert showed by figures are selfish and unsympathetic. Seventh, sense introvert found the ability of the senses to give them subjective meaning. Eighth, intuition introvert is demonstrated by the figure closing in and keeping the distance from the others. In conclusion, the eight personality types can be found on the whole structure of an irregular novel story.

Abstract

Pemahaman guru tentang pembelajaran multikultural kurang sehingga diperlukan model pembelajaran yang dapat meningkatkan litersi budaya siswa melalui kelas multikultural berbasis modul nusantara. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk menganalisa perbandingan antara modul nusantara dan efikasi diri siswa sekolah dasar dalam pembelajaran multikultural terhadap literasi budaya. Penelitian menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan desain faktorial 2x2. Subjek penelitian adalah sekolah dasar kelas V di Kota Bekasi. Teknik analisis data menggunakan anava dua jalan. Hasil penelitian mengemukakan bahwa kemampuan literasi budaya berdasarkan implementasi modul nusantara dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran multikultural membawa pengaruh signifikan terhadap kemampuan literasi budaya sebesar 45%. Kemampuan literasi budaya berdasarkan efikasi diri memiliki pengaruh signifikan terhadap kemampuan literasi budaya sebesar 31,7 %. Adanya interaksi antara model pembelajaran dengan efikasi diri terhadap kemampuan literasi budaya yang memberikan pengaruh yang signifikan dengan kemampuan literasi budaya sebesar 31,1%. Modul nusantara menggunakan model case study dengan efikasi diri tinggi interaksinya memiliki pengaruh secara signifikan terhadap kemampuan Literasi Budaya siswa kelas V SD.

Abstract

Menulis merupakan kegiatan mengungkapkan isi pikiran atau perasaan. Salah satu jenis teks yang biasa digunakan dalam belajar menulis adalah teks atau esai naratif. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan menulis teks naratif menggunakan model pembelajaran picture and picture. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian tindakan kelas, yang dilakukan dalam dua siklus. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan tes menulis, wawancara, dan observasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa implementasi model pembelajaran picture and picture memberikan pengaruh terhadap kemampuan menulis teks naratif. Rerata nilai keterampilan menulis teks naratif pada tahap observasi sebesar 64.9 pada siklus pertama mencapai 70.1 dan pada siklus kedua sebesar 75.2. Hasil tersebut menunjukkan bahwa model pembelajaran picture and picture dapat meningkatkan kemampuan menulis teks naratif siswa dan memberikan nuansa pembelajaran yang menyenangkan serta menjadikan siswa aktif dan antusias dalam belajar.Writing is an activity to express thoughts or feelings. A type of text commonly used in learning to write is a narrative text or essay. The objective of this study is to improve the ability to write narrative texts using the Picture and Picture Learning Model (PPLM). The research method is categorized as classroom action research, which was conducted in two cycles. The data collection techniques include writing tests, interviews, and observations. The results showed that the implementation of the Picture and Picture Learning Model (PPLM) influenced the ability to write narrative texts. The average score of writing narrative text skills at the observation stage was 64.9, and in the first cycle, it reached 70.1, while in the second cycle it reached 75.2. These results indicate that the Picture and Picture Learning Model (PPLM) can improve students' ability to write narrative texts and provide fun learning nuances that make students active and enthusiastic about learning.

Abstract

Abstract: The aims of this research are: 1) To describe the process of  learning in recount text writing skill through quantum learning model by mind mapping technique, 2) To describe the increasing of recount text writing skill through quantum learning model by mind mapping technique. Design in this action research use three cycle. Data take from observation, test, and documentation. Data was analysis as descriptive quantitative. The result show that 1) Students activity in learning process have increased significantly from several cycle, 2) Writing skill of recount text students have significantly increasing after following quantum learning model by mind mapping technique. The means value that students got are; the first cycle is 66.93, the second cycle is 76.53, and the third cycle is 84.67%.Keyword: mind mapping, quantum learning, writing skill, recount text

Abstract

Entering the era of Industrial Revolution 5.0, changes occurred in all aspects, including education. One of the important competencies in this era is the ability to think creatively. In addition, students are also required to be able to integrate their knowledge with science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). This research is a quasi-experimental research with a non-equivalent post-test only control group design which aims to determine whether is there an effect of using the Project-Based Learning model with STEM-based approach on the creative thinking skills of elementary school students in class V mathematics. The population in This research is the fifth-grade students of SDN 225 Palembang. As for the research sample for the experimental class, students of class V-A and the control class, students in class V-B. The experimental class was treated with Project-Based Learning based on STEM, while the control class used the Project-Based Learning model only. Data collection techniques using tests and data analysis with t-test. Based on the analysis of research data with a significant value of 0.006 < 0.05, it can be concluded that there is an effect of students' creative thinking skills using the STEM-based Project-Based Learning learning model in Mathematics Learning for fifth-grade elementary school.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the development of e-modules based on Contextual Teaching in the fifth grade of elementary school learning. This research method uses research and development methods with the ADDIE approach. This research method uses research and development methods with the limits of expert judgment and practicality. Expert assessment is carried out on media, language, and material experts, while practicality with teachers and students. Data collection techniques use documentation and questionnaires, while data analysis techniques use percentages. Based on the results of the study showed that the E- Module Based on Contextual Teaching with an average of 3.70. Thus, it can be concluded that the development of Contextual Teaching-based E-modules in fifth grade elementary school learning is included in the valid or feasible category. From the results of the small group test and large group test, an average of 3.645 was obtained. Thus, it can be concluded that the feasibility of Contextual Teaching-based E-modules in class V elementary school learning is included in the practical or feasible category.

Abstract

To develop a model of English language teaching materials based on a contextual approach. English learning in elementary school is the mastery and increase in the number and enrichment of vocabulary to support the mastery of the four English language skills, namely speaking, listening, reading and writing. This study uses mixed methods, research and development of teaching materials in research, adapted from the models of Borg and Gall and models of Dick, Carey and Carey. The four stages in this research are (1) the stage of research and information gathering, (2) the stage of draft development, (3) the stage of testing and product revision, (4) the stage of finalization and dissemination. The results of the research and development were obtained in the fifth grade English language teaching material model. Through a series of stages of developing instructional materials, a product of English language teaching materials for the fifth-grade elementary school was obtained based on a contextual approach that fulfills the characteristics of good teaching materials that can be used by fifth grade students throughout Indonesia.

Abstract

This research aims at obtaining data on improving English reading comprehension skill in Grade III, Labschool Primary School, Setiabudi, South Jakarta. The research subjects were the students of Grade III in the second semester of 2014/2015 school academic year. The research model used Kemmis and Mc. Taggard model covering planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The data of reading comprehension evaluation showed that in the first cycle 55.5 % of the students gained >75 and in the second cycle 83.33 % of them gained >75. While based on the monitoring data, the activities of the teacher and the students were 55 % in the first meeting of the cycle I and increased to 85 % in the first meeting of the cycle II. Therefore, SQ4R method can improve English reading comprehension skill of the Grade III students in Labschool Primary School, Setiabudi, South Jakarta.

Abstract

The objective of this research is to investigate whether the implementation of Bingo game can increase students’ mastery of English vocabulary at the 2nd grade students of Primary School of PGSD Laboratorium in Setiabudi South Jakarta. Using the model of Kemmis and McTaggart, this classroom action research was conducted in two cycles. The subject of this research were 20 students of the 2nd grade and the data were collected using test instrument to measure students’ level of vocabulary mastery. The observation sheet was also used to record the activities of the teacher and the students when they were playing bingo game. The result of this research shows a significant increase in vocabulary mastery score after the application of Bingo game.

Abstract

AbstrakTujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk melihat ada atau tidak adanya hubungan antara sikap siswa, gaya belajar siswa, dan atau sikap dan gaya belajar siswa terhadap kemampuan menulis deskriptif bahasa Inggris. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Sekolah Menengah Atas, kelas 2 SMAN. 2 Kambowa, Sulawesi Tenggara dengan menggunakan sampel acak pada 30 siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif korelasional dengan teknik deskriptif dan analisis statistik inferensial untuk melihat korelasi di antara tiap variabel. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan (1) ada korelasi yang positif antara sikap siswa terhadap kemampuan menulis bahasa Inggris dengan koefisien korelasi 0,95. (2) ada korelasi yang positif antara gaya belajar siswa terhadap kemampuan menulis bahasa Inggris dengan koefisien korelasi 0,86, dan (3) ada korelasi yang positif antara sikap siswa dan gaya belajar siswa terhadap kemampuan menulis bahasa Inggris dengan koefisien korelasi ganda 0,95. Hasil penelitian menyimpulkan bahwa terdapat korelasi yang positif antara sikap siswa dan gaya belajar siswa terhadap kemampuan menulis bahasa Inggris baik sendiri maupun bersama-sama.Kata kunci: Sikap siswa, Gaya belajar siswa, dan Kemampuan menulis bahasa Inggris AbstractThe objective of this research was to determine whether there are any relationship between students’ attitude, students’ learning style, and both students’ attitude and students’ learning style toward the competence of writing English. The research was conducted at Senior High School, class 2, at SMAN. 2 Kambowa, Southeast Sulawesi, and used random sampling with 30 students. The research used correlational quantitative method with descriptive and inferential analysis technique to see correlation between variables. The research results were (1) There is a positive correlation between students' attitude toward the competence of writing English with correlation coefficient 0,95. (2) There is a positive correlation between students' learning style toward the competence of writing English with correlation coefficient 0,86, and (3) There is a positive correlation between students’ attitude and learning style toward the competence of writing English with a double correlation coefficient 0.95. The result of the research concludes that there is a positive correlation between students’ attitude and learning style either individually or together to the the competence of writing English.Keywords: Students’ attitude, Students’ learning style, and Competence of writing English.
