Abstract

This study is qualitative research that aims to describe and analyze the students’ learning difficulties in mathematical operations of negative integers. The subjects of the study were two students of 286 SDN 286 Pasaka. Giving test (diagnostic tests) and interviewing were conducted to collect the data. The results of the study show that basically the learning difficulties experienced by the subject IS and subject RV is the same: the lack of understanding of the concept of negative integer operations. Due to the lack of understanding of the concept, the subject is difficult to abstract, generalize and remember the concept or principle of operating negative integer operations. To overcome the learning difficulties experienced by students, the teacher must ensure students have mastered the prerequisite material, design ways of delivering teaching materials with effective communication and pay attention to family circumstances and social conditions of students.Keywords: Characteristics of items, item difficulties, discrimination

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan keefektifan penerapan model pembelajaran learning cycle pada materi teorema Pythagoras siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 3 Salomekko Kabupaten Bone. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII A yang berjumlah 24 siswa sebagai kelas eksperimen. Dalam pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan cara simple random sampling. Hasil analisis deskriptif dan inferensial menunjukkan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran learning cycle efektif diterapkan dalam pembelajaran matematika materi teorema Pythagoras siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 3 Salomekko ditinjau dari aspek: (a) rata-rata skor pemahaman konsep matematika pada posttest lebih besar dari 74.9 (KKM) dan rata-rata skor gain ternormalisasi > 0.29, (b) rata-rata kemampuan komunikasi matematika pada posttest > 74.9 (KKM) dan rata-rata gain ternormalisasi > 0.29, (c) rata-rata skor aktivitas belajar siswa untuk setiap pertemuan lebih dari 70%, dan (d) rata-rata skor respons siswa > 3.5. Disimpulkan bahwa model pembelajaran learning cycle efektif diterapkan dalam pembelajaran matematika materi teorema Pythagoras pada siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 3 Salomekko Kabupaten Bone.

Abstract

AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi etnomatematika permainan pada siswa Sekolah Dasar di Sinjai Selatan. Jenis penelitian adalah menggunakan penelitian eksploratif dengan pendekatan kualitatif untuk menggali informasi tentang aktivitas etnomatematika pada permainan siswa sekolah dasar. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa Sekolah Dasar di Sinjai Selatan. Pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah observasi, dokumentasi dan wawancara mendalam. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis dengan metode triangulasi. Hasil penelitian ditemukan bahwa permainan tradisonal siswa mengandung unsur-unsur matematika diantaranya materi bangun datar, pengenalan angka, himpunan, konsep jarak, peluang dan operasi bilangan bulat. Hal ini menjadikan siswa dapat belajar dari dunia keseharian yang menyenangkan, serta sesuai kehidupan sosial budaya di Sinjai khususnya Sinjai Selatan                                                                                  AbstractThis study aimed at exploring the ethnomatematics of games in elementary school students in South Sinjai. This type of research used exploratory research with a qualitative approach to explore information about ethnomatematics activity in the game of elementary school students. The subjects of this study were elementary school students in South Sinjai. The data collection used observation, documentation and in-depth interviews. The data obtained were analyzed by triangulation method. The results of the study were found that traditional student games contained elements of mathematics including material of figure, recognition of numbers, sets, concepts of distance, probability and integer operations. This made students be able to learn from the pleasant world of everyday life, and in accordance with the socio-cultural life in Sinjai, especially South Sinjai.

Abstract

Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan hasil evaluasi pelaksanaan pembelajaran matematika di Lembaga Agama Islam Muhammadiyah Sinjai, di samping penelitian ini untuk mendeskripsikan masalah yang muncul dalam pelaksanaan pembelajaran matematika di Lembaga Agama Islam Muhammadiyah Sinjai yang meliputi perencanaan pembelajaran , implementasi pembelajaran, dan penilaian pembelajaran semester. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kuesioner, lembar observasi dan, dokumentasi. Subjek penelitian ini adalah dosen matematika yang mengajar di Program Studi Matematika sebanyak 3 dosen yang memiliki latar belakang pendidikan magister berbeda. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah analisis data kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) Evaluasi Konteks, dalam aspek ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat kesesuaian antara kesiapan sekolah, staf pengajar, dengan tujuan program pembelajaran matematika di Institut Agama Islam Muhammadiyah Sinjai, dikategorikan sangat baik, (2) Input Evaluasi, pada aspek input pembelajaran Matematika untuk mata pelajaran SY, IM dan FT berada dalam kategori baik (B), (3) Evaluasi Proses, dalam aspek proses pelaksanaan pembelajaran matematika untuk mata pelajaran SY dan IM dalam kategori baik dan untuk mata pelajaran FT dalam kategori cukup, (4) Evaluasi Produk, Penilaian pembelajaran matematika oleh guru berdasarkan kurikulum Program Studi dalam mata pelajaran SY, IM dan FT berada dalam kategori cukup. Abstract This study aims to describe the results of evaluating the implementation of mathematics learning at the Islamic Institute of Muhammadiyah Sinjai, in addition to this study to describe the problems that arise in the implementation of mathematics learning at the Islamic Institute of Muhammadiyah Sinjai which includes learning planning, learning implementation, and semester learning assessment. The instruments used in this study were questionnaires, observation sheets and, documentation. The subjects of this study were mathematics lecturers who taught in the Mathematics Study Program as many as 3 lecturers who had different master's educational backgrounds. The data analysis technique used in this study is qualitative data analysis. The results showed that (1) Context Evaluation, in this aspect showed that there was a match between school readiness, teaching staff, with the aim of the mathematics learning program at the Islamic Institut of Muhammadiyah Sinjai, categorized very well, (2) Input Evaluation, on the input aspect Mathematics learning for SY, IM and FT subjects is in a good category (B), (3) Process Evaluation, in the aspects of the process of implementing mathematics learning for SY and IM subjects in the good category and for FT subjects in the sufficient category, (4) Product Evaluation, Assessment of mathematics learning by teachers based on the Study Program curriculum in SY, IM and FT subjects is in the sufficient category.

Abstract

Jenis penelitian ini adalah mix kualitatif dan kuantitatif yang bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan keterlaksanaan kurikulum 2013 dalam mata pelajaran matematika di SMP Negeri 33 Makassar yang meliputi perencanaan pembelajaran, pelaksanaan pembelajaran, penilaian pembelajaran dan faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi dalam pelaksanaan kurikulum 2013. Instrument yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah (1) lembar observasi, dan (2) Pedoman wawancara. Subjek penelitian ini guru matematika yang mengajar di kelas VII (tujuh) sebanyak 2 guru yang sudah mengikuti pelatihan kurikulum 2013. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) Perencanaan pembelajaran matematika oleh guru berdasarkan Kurikulum 2013 pada subjek ARF dan HSR yang sudah mengikuti pelatihan kurikulum 2013 berada pada kategori amat baik. (2) Pelaksanaan pembelajaran matematika oleh guru berdasarkan kurikulum 2013 pada subjek ARF yang sudah mengikuti pelatihan kurikulum 2013 berada pada kategori pada kategori baik, sedangkan subjek HSR berada pada kategori cukup (3) Penilaian pembelajaran matematika oleh guru berdasarkan kurikulum 2013 pada subjek ARF dan HSR yang sudah mengikuti pelatihan kurikulum 2013 berada pada kategori sama yaitu amat baik (4) faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi pelaksanaan kurikulum 2013 dibagi atas 2 bagian yaitu: a) faktor penentu yaitu subjek ARF telah mengikuti pelatihan kurikulum 2013 sebanyak 2 kali dan subjek HSR sebanyak 1 kali, serta siap menerapkan kurikulum 2013 demi kemajuan pendidikan khususnya di SMP Negeri 33 Makassar, dan respon baik oleh kepala sekolah dengan melakukan pelatihan di sekolah dan melengkapi sarana dan prasarana. b) faktor penghambat yaitu tentang penilaian belum sepenuhnya dipahami dengan baik oleh subjek ARF maupun Subjek HSR, dan faktor lainnya adalah masih ada peserta didik yang belum aktif dalam pembelajaran

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan (1) Kesulitan belajar mahasiswa pada mata kuliah Kalkulus II materi integral tak tentu dan tentu. (2) Upaya yang dilakukan dalam mengatasi kesulitan belajar mahasiswa pada mata kuliah Kalkulus II materi integral tak tentu dan tentu. Penelitian ini termasuk dalam penelitian studi kasus dengan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif. Subjek dari penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa Program Studi Tadris Matematika semester II yang sedang mempelajari mata kuliah Kalkulus II. Adapun metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Sedangkan analisis data yang digunakan adalah reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) Kesulitan belajar mahasiswa pada mata kuliah kalkulus II materi integral tak tentu dan tentu terdapat 2 kesulitan belajar, yaitu kesulitan pemahaman konsep, seperti tidak dapat memahami dan mencermati maksud soal serta tidak tahu penerapan rumus dan kesulitan penyelesaian soal, seperti kurangnya ketelitian dalam menulis soal, kesulitan dalam memahami langkah penyelesaian soal, kesulitan dalam berhitung dan tidak memeriksa kembali jawaban yang telah dikerjakan. (2) Upaya yang dilakukan dalam mengatasi kesulitan belajar pada mata kuliah kalkulus II materi integral tak tentu dan tentu adalah, menumbuhkan minat dalam belajar dengan memperbanyak latihan soal, mencari materi yang kurang dipahami dan motivasi belajar yang perlu diberikan.

Abstract

This study aims to determine, 1) The effect of learning facilities on the learning independence of class VII students of SMP Negeri 2 Kotabaru; 2) The influence of learning motivation on the learning independence of seventh grade students of SMP Negeri 2 Kotabaru; 3) The effect of learning facilities and learning motivation together on the learning independence of class VII students of SMP Negeri 2 Kotabaru. This type of research is an ex post facto research using a descriptive quantitative approach. Using simple random sampling technique, class VII C and VII E were obtained as samples in this study. Data collection techniques using questionnaires or questionnaires. The data analysis technique used in this research is normality test and multicollinearity test. Meanwhile, to test the hypothesis using simple and multiple regression analysis or using t test and F test. The results of this study indicate that 1) there is an influence between learning facilities on learning independence. This is evidenced by the value of tcount greater than ttable (2.135 > 2.0322) and a significance value of 0.040, which means less than the predetermined significance level of 0 0.05 (0.040 < 0.05); 2) there is no influence of learning motivation on learning independence, because the tcount value is less than the ttable value (0.136 < 2.0322) and the significance value is 0.754, which means it is greater than the predetermined significance level of 0.05 (0.754 > 0, 05); 3) The results of multiple regression after the F test were obtained that the Fcount value was less than Ftable (2.595 < 3.27) and the significance value was obtained at 0.089 which means it is greater than the predetermined significance level of 0.05 (0.089 > 0.05). Based on these results, there is no influence between learning facilities and learning motivation on independent learning together in class VII students of SMP Negeri 2 Kotabaru. The magnitude of the coefficient of determination (R square) is 0.132 or 13.2%.

Abstract

The impact of the Covid-19 outbreak on the education sector is the learning process that must be carried out online during the outbreak. However, over time, the Covid-19 outbreak began to subside and the learning process began to be carried out face to face. In this study, it discusses student perceptions of face-to-face learning after online learning. The research design used is descriptive qualitative. Data collection techniques using interviews and observation. The results of the study showed that offline learning is more attractive to students because it is easy to implement and offline learning gives them a wider space so that they are more flexible in discussions and ask questions of educators and peers.

Abstract

This study aims to describe students' learning difficulties in solving math problems for MI/SD based on Polya's problem-solving stages. This research is included in the case study research using a qualitative approach. The subjects of this study were 2 students of the PGMI study program who had studied Mathematics for MI/SD. The data collection methods in this study were tests and interviews, while the data analysis was done by reducing data, presenting data, and drawing conclusions. The results showed that the learning difficulties experienced by RSD and SAT were broadly similar, including: (1) difficulty in understanding the problem, such as being unable to understand the problem from the question, unable to determine the appropriate symbol with the information known from the question, incomplete in writing down the information contained in the questions, and still lacking in understanding the concept; (2) difficulty in planning problem solving, such as being unable to determine symbols and mathematical concepts or formulas; (3) difficulty in implementing the problem-solving plan, such as not sure about the concept or formula used, and difficulty in doing the exercises without looking at the example; (4) difficulty in re-examining the solution obtained, namely not knowing how to re-examine correctly.

Abstract

This service aims to provide training to teachers, especially teachers at MAN 2 Sinjai in utilizing the Quizalize application learning media. This is motivated by the rapid development of technology, so that teachers are required to utilize learning media in conveying subject matter. Based on the facts in the field, teachers have less interest and ability to utilize technology-based learning media. Therefore, this training focuses on the use of learning media that are attractive to teachers and can be used to deliver innovative learning materials. The method used in this training is a presentation method related to the use of the Quizalize application and dialogic discussions with the teacher. The material presented in this training included an introduction to Quizalize features as an interactive learning medium, and the steps for creating a teacher account in this application. After this activity was carried out, the results were obtained, namely, increasing teacher understanding, competence, and creativity in utilizing technology-based learning media.
