Abstract

Increasing teacher competency is a process that cannot be done instantly. Teachers must always be provided with new knowledge that can be applied to their own needs and institutions. Computer-based learning will greatly help educators in the current era of Information and Communication Technology, especially vocational teachers who teach in productive fields (engineering subjects). The problem faced is the inability of teachers to use computers as learning media. Teachers only use computers to present powerpoint media, even in practical subjects. The teacher has not been able to utilize software engineering that will assist in the practical learning process, such as AutoCAD software in learning Drawing Engineering and PLC software in learning control systems. Therefore, it is necessary to conduct integrated and comprehensive training for teachers in utilizing computers as learning media especially in the use of software engineering. All Muhammadiyah 1 Padang Vocational Middle School teachers and SMK Dhuafa Nusantara Padang were invited to take part in engineering training. In the implementation of the activity there were 15 teacher participants. The training material consisted of the introduction and use of AutoCAD software, and PLC software. The results of this training show that more than 90% of participants have been able to use AutoCAD and PLC software. Besides that, there was an increase in motivation and enthusiasm from the teacher to show performance, both in the use of software for classroom learning and in daily life as a professional who always tried to improve his competence.

Abstract

This research is motivated by One-way learning media using whiteboard media, presentation media such as power point media which causes students to decrease motivation to learn and improve student learning outcomes. The purpose of this study was to produce interactive multimedia products based on the Course Lab. This type of research is development research (Research and Development). This study uses the ADDIE Model which consists of 5 stages, namely analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The results of the development obtained by interactive multimedia based on Course Lab and the results of the study obtained Interactive Multimedia-based Course Lab validation worth 4.12 with the valid category. Thus it can be used as learning media. The test results practicalities of the subject teachers and students of the Interactive Multimedia Course Based Lab obtained with a level of practicality of the subject teachers at 4,17 on the category of practical and student responses on the Interactive Multimedia obtained at 4,01 on Practical category. And the effectiveness of the use of Interactive Multimedia Based Course Lab obtained from students' classical mastery level is 87,5% of Minimum Criterion Criterion (KKM) of 80.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the learning process carried out online because it is not possible to hold a face-to-face learning process or direct learning due to the current Covid-19 epidemic period. Assessment and evaluation of learning in conditions of social distancing and physical distancing can be applied on an online basis which is carried out at home using the remote assessment method. With the rapid development and advancement of technology today, the application of remote assessment is very possible and easier, especially with the existence of the internet network. Therefore, a 4-D development model is used where the results developed are products in the form of essay questions where this is to overcome existing problems so that the learning process can still be carried out. The research objective was to produce a product in the form of essay and oral test questions online on valid measurement courses and instruments. Based on the results of the study using the 4-D model by doing the validity test, it was found that the product in the form of essay questions developed that had been tested got valid results. The validity results were tested by three validators. From the results of the validity test developed, it can be concluded that with the development of the product in the form of the latest essay questions, it can improve the critical thinking ability of each student, and when suddenly there is a quiz given by the lecturer, students will be better prepared to do well and not complain.

Abstract

The learning process in class X TITL SMK Negeri 1 Kerinci is still centered on the teacher, the lack of active students during the learning process, students play gadgets during the learning process and do not pay attention to the material that the teacher delivers. The learning process is still teacher-centered, in terms of delivering material, the teacher is still very dependent on blackboard media so that students find it difficult to understand the material delivered by the teacher which affects student learning outcomes. Therefore, researchers developed Augmented Reality learning media to help increase students' interest in learning. The research aims to develop valid and practical Augmented Reality learning media. The research method used is R&D (Research and Development) with the 4D model (Define, Design, Develop, and Dissaminate). The instrument used was a validity questionnaire and a practicality questionnaire with class X TITL students and subject teachers as respondents. The average result of the validity value in filling out the validity questionnaire by the validator is categorized as valid. And in filling out the practicality questionnaire, the practicality value is obtained in the very practical category. Based on the results of the development research carried out, it produces Augmented Reality learning media that is valid and very practical in Basic Electrical and Electronics subjects.

Abstract

AbstractThe problem in learning Electromagnetic Control System that implemented at SMKN 1 Padang is about media. This research is oriented because there are many students learning outcomes that still not reach the KKM at Electromagnetic Control System subject grade XI TITL in SMKN 1 Padang. There are many factor which influence the low of students learning outcomes such as learning process by using conventional method and media that used by teacher in learning are module and only use the whiteboard. Based on these factors, then conducted the research in experiment form to increase students learning outcomes by using learning media of electromagnetic control trainer. The method that use in this research is quasi experiment with Pretest-Posttest One Group Design. Subject of this research are students grade XI TITL A SMKN 1 Padang, which consist of 31 students. Data collecting in the research use objective test (Pretest-Posttest). The result of research indicated that there is an increasing of students learning at Electromagnetic Control System subject. Increasing occurs at high level (0,71) where 18 students are on high level and 13 others are on middle level increasing. Key words : Learning Media, Trainer, Electromagnetic Control System  AbstrakPenelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh proses pembelajaran yang berpusat pada guru (teacher centered) yang mengakibatkan banyaknya hasil belajar siswa yang belum mencapai KKM pada mata pelajaran Sistem Pengendali Elektromagnetik kelas XI TITL di SMKN 1 Padang. Banyak faktor yang mempengaruhi rendahnya hasil belajar siswa diantaranya adalah proses pembelajaran dengan metode yang bersifat kovensional dan media yang digunakan oleh guru dalam pembelajaran berupa modul dan menggunakan papan tulis saja. Berdasarkan faktor tersebut, maka dilakukan penelitian untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa dengan menggunakan media trainer pengendali elektromagnetik. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah quasi eksperimen dengan Pretest-Posttest One Group Design. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XI TITL A SMKN 1 Padang, yang terdiri dari 31 orang siswa. Pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan tes (Pretest-Postest) berupa soal objektif. Soal tes yang digunakan terlebih dahulu dilakukan ujicoba untuk mengetahui validitas, reliabilitas, tingkat kesukaran, dan daya pembeda soal. Berdasarkan hasil ujicoba, diperoleh 25 item soal tes sebagai instrumen penelitian.Hasil penelitian dan analisis data menunjukkan bahwa terdapat peningkatan hasil belajar siswa kelas XI TITL di SMKN 1 Padang pada mata pelajaran Sistem Pengendali Elektromagnetik. Peningkatan yang terjadi berada pada taraf tinggi (0,71), 18 orang siswa mengalami peningkatan taraf tinggi dan 13 siswa lainnya mengalami peningkatan taraf sedang. Kata kunci : media trainer, pengendali elektromagnetik, hasil belajar

Abstract

Pentingnya penguasaan ICT oleh serang guru baik dalam hal mempersiapkan media dan sumber pembelajaran digital maupun melaksanakan dan mengelola pembelajaran secara daring merupakan tantangan bagi para guru dalam meningkatkan kompetensinya di era Revolusi Industri 4.0. Peran guru sangat menentukan dalam menghasilkan lulusan yang berkualitas dan berbasis dunia industri. Usaha untuk meningkatkan kompetensi guru dan meningkatkan kualitas guru dalam menyampaikan materi pelajaran kepada siswa adalah dengan memberikan pelatihan dan pendampingan serta sosialisasi pembelajaran berbasis komputer. Tujuan dari kegiatan ini adalah meningkatkan kompetensi guru dalam bidang ICT melalui pelatihan dan pendampingan secara berkala bagi guru-guru SMK TITL di Sumatera Barat. Metode pelatihan yang dilakukan yaitu memberikan pertanyaan/wawancara tentang pengetahuan guru di bidang pembelajaran berbasis ICT, termasuk pembelajaran daring serta menceritakan pengalaman mereka selama ini, kemudian memberikan pelatihan sesuai dengan masalah yang dihadapi, serta memberikan postest berupa angket di akhir kegiatan. Hasil yang diperoleh dari pelatihan ini adalah meningkatnya kompetensi guru SMK Teknik Ketenagalistrikan dalam merancang proses pembelajaran daring yang dibuktikan dengan hasil rancangan e-learning masing-masing peserta sesuai dengan mata pelajarannya masing-masing dan juga meningkatnya keyakinan dan kepercayaan diri guru SMK dalam mengintegrasikan teknologi ke dalam layanan digital pembelajaran

Abstract

Penelitian ini membahas tentang penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD pada Mata Pelajaran Memahami Pengukuran Komponen Elektronika di SMK Muhammadiyah 1 Padang. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui besarnya ketuntasan hasil belajar siswa setelah menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD. Jenis penelitian ini menggunakan eksperimen bebas (pre eksprimental). Subjek pada penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas X TITL 1 SMK Muhammadiyah 1 Padang yang terdaftar pada tahun ajaran 2016/2017 yang terdiri dari 32 orang siswa. Metode pengumpulan data dengan menggunakan tes hasil belajar berupa tes objektif yang terdiri dari pretest, kuis sebanyak 3 kali serta posttest yang sudah dilakukan uji coba soal sebelumnya. Data yang diperoleh tersebut dianalisis menggunakan rumus ketuntasan belajar siswa Sedangkan untuk menentukan Skor kemajuan Individu sebagai syarat penentuan nilai kelompok STAD dilakukan kuis setiap akhir pembelajaran. Hasil penelitian ditemukan bahwa rata-rata nilai pretest sebelum penerapan pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD sebesar 61,09 dan rata-rata nilai posttest setelah penerapan pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD sebesar 83,56.. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD dapat meningkatkan ketuntasan belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran Memahami Pengukuran Komponen Elektronika di SMK Muhammadiyah 1 Padang.

Abstract

Teacher competence must be increase by carried out continuously, because the success of learning is the responsibility of educators. Technology-based learning will help educators in the Industrial Revolution 4.0 era, especially vocational teachers who teach in the productive field (engineering subjects). The problem faced is the inability of teachers to use computers as learning media. The teacher has not been able to utilize software engineering that will help in the process of practical learning, such as NI Multisim and Proteus software in learning electrical circuits and electronic circuits. Therefore, integrated and comprehensive training is needed for teachers to utilize software engineering. The training was attended by 15 teachers who taught on productive subjects (Engineering). From the results of this training it appears that all participants can already use NI Multisim and Proteus software. Based on the questionnaire indicators that have been analyzed it can also be seen that most of the participants are of the view that the implementation of the training has provided profound benefits and is very helpful in improving the participants' quality

Abstract

This research is motivated by the teacher who only explains the material to be practiced verbally, and the series of pictures that will be practiced are illustrated by the teacher on the board, and the teacher directly instructs students to do the practice. This makes it difficult for students to understand and analyze the working principles of the control system, and so far students are only able to assemble and operate the circuit but students have not been able to explain how the circuit can operate. Therefore we need learning media that can support this, one of them is by applying Festo Fluidsim simulation learning media. This type of research is a descriptive study with quasi-experimental methods with the design of One Group Post-test Only. From the results of the study obtained an average post-test score of 76.63. With the t test analysis obtained t count = 2.754 which is greater than the table = 2.492 at the 0.01 significance level. Thus it can be concluded that there is an increase in student learning outcomes after the application of simulation software in the learning process of MSPEM class XI TITL SMKN1 Tilatang kamang.

Abstract

Increasing teacher competence in managing digital electronics learning in Vocational High Schools must always be managed and improved. This activity can be carried out by training in developing digital engineering learning media, especially regarding logic gates. The trainees work together in teams to complete the given topic, which begins with the design and simulation and then practices in completing assigned instructional media. At the end of the scenario an evaluation of the work carried out and an evaluation of the course of the training activities. From the evaluation results it was found that there was an increase in the competence of vocational teachers in Pesisir Selatan District in mastering learning media, and from the results of the questionnaire analysis, it was concluded that the participants gave a positive response to the implementation of the training.
