Abstract

In Indonesia, the processed food industry is one of the strategic sectors of economic growth because rapid and massive innovation expected to accelerate the recovery of the Indonesian economy during Covid-19 pandemic. Therefore, this study aims to identify the innovation barriers as well as to understand how they interact with each other so that the decision makers can focus on to overcome these barriers. There is a presentation of hierarchy-based and the mutual relationships among these hindrances using interpretive structural modeling. Three main barriers including economic or political uncertainty, overlapping government regulations, and low organizational commitment was identified to show a high driving power with a low dependence because they have strategic importance and require great attention from stakeholders. The results become a reference for stakeholders in formulating the innovation development strategies and several formulating policies for the maintenance of political or economic stability as well as the harmonization of regulations. Abstract

Abstract: Bangka Belitung province’s economy has a very high dependence on the tin. BPS data of 2013 showed tin contributed 33.60% PDRB and expected of more than 70% if the multiplier effect applied (Megawandi, 2013). But the tin mining industry is currently facing complex problems including undeveloped downstream (Widyatmiko, 2012), environmental damage (Sapanli, 2009; Inonu, 2010; Walhi, 2013), illegal small scale mining (Elfida, 2007; Sapanli 2010), and overlap of licensing and laws (Purba, 2007; Hayati, 2011; Bastida and Paramita, 2013), social issues (Aziz and Salim, 2005; Zulkarnain et al 2005; Erman, 2007; Resosudarmo and Subiman, 2010), damage of the forest (Sidabukke, 2011) and other problems. This study aims to design a business model of tin mining industry in Bangka Belitung so the sustain able issues can be resolved. The methodology used in this study was in-depth structured interview of expertstakeholders. Abstract

The hypermarket business in Indonesia has been declining for 5 years. This study aims to analyze the condition of hypermarket retail in Indonesia through demographic analysis. This descriptive study uses research measuring instrument using a Likert scale questionnaire 1–5, the number of samples is 660. The new concept of retail organizational performance, not only involves marketing aspects: service quality, customer trust, and customer loyalty but also includes organizational capability variables as variables that affect retail business performance; Hypermarket studies cover a national scope in contrast to other retail studies which are only locally specific. Hypermarket conditions: service quality and organizational capabilities are in the criteria of both low borderline to moderate, customer trust, customer loyalty, and business performance in moderate conditions. Abstract

Abstract. Water and sanitation sector is characterized with having many risks. The ability to manage risks is one of the success factors in providing clean water services to the community. The objective of this paper is to identify the operational risks in the water supply provision, to analyze the significant risks, and to formulate actions to manage the significant risks.  The operational risks are analyzed using probability impact matrix. The research shows that the significant operational risks mostly occur during raw water extraction process, which are risks related to the quality and quantity of raw water, as well as reliability of the supporting facilities (intake and transmission pipe). Other significant risks are production failure, intermittent supply, low water pressure, and contractor availability for meter installation. Because significant operational risks are caused by process and external factor, the proposed risk management includes the development of procedures and guidelines, as well as the implementation of effective contractor management. Risk management also includes the establishment of effective communication and coordination with relevant stakeholders. Keywords: Operational risk, probability impact matrix, risk management, water company, water supply provisionAbstrak. Katakunci: Matriks probability impact, pengelolaan risiko, penyediaan air bersih, perusahaan air bersih, risiko operasional.
