Abstract

Telah dilakukan penelitian dengan pengaplikasian sensor gas TGS 2620 dan MQ 138 untuk mendeteksi kematangan buah durian berbasis Raspberry Pi 3b. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk menghasilkan alat deteksi tingkat kematangan buah durian. Durian diletakkan ke dalam ruang sampel yang berisi sensor gas. Metode klasifikasi yang digunakan untuk menentukan kematangan buah menggunakan K-Nearest Neighbor (KNN). Pengujian KNN dalam klasifikasi kematangan durian menggunakan sensor gas memiliki akurasi keseluruhan 91,07%.

Abstract

The room acoustic measurement based on the sound pressure level and reverberation time was done in Al-Wasi’I mosque in Lampung University. The measurement of sound pressure level and reverberation time used 8 microphones which were connected to the internal soundcard of a laptop with a multiplexer as a data selector, while the acquisition system and signal processing used Matlab r2014a. The measurements were conducted in 64 points distributed inside the room. The measurement results for sound pressure level showed an average of 61,95 dB. The data of sound contour showed differences in each measured point of no more than 6 dB so that the sound pressure was evenly distributed. The reverberation time measurement result was 3,03 seconds, where this reverberation time far from optimal reverberation time of 0,90 to 1,20 seconds. The overall of acoustic quality in the praying room of Al-Wasi’I mosque in Lampung University was not good because it did not meet a proper acoustic sound requirements.

Abstract

It has done data acquisition of measurement and storage of dissolved oxygen values in shrimp pond water using DO sensorbased microcontroller Arduino UNO. The purpose of this study is  measure and store the value of dissolved oxygen levels in realtime in shrimp pond. This system is designed using the DO sensor that uses UART communication. Tools and materials that used are laptop, Arduino UNO, USB and DO sensor. The principle of this research is that when the DO sensor is reach the water, the dissolved oxygen content data will be detected by sensor that connected to Arduino UNO. Arduino UNO will  process and sends data and then displayed and analyzed in Microsoft Excel. The average measurements results of DO levels are in the range of 3 to 5 mg/l in rainy and the range 3 to 7 mg/l in cloudy

Abstract

An initial study research has been carried out on the realization of electrical properties analyzer of liquids that interact with light to be applied to spectrometry. This study aims to develop a spectrometry method based on changes in electrical resistance in liquids when interacting with laser. Methylene blue solution was used as a sample that illuminated by a laser with 650 nm wavelength.The laser beam causes a change in electrical resistance in the methylene blue solution detected by Arduino Nano and converted to a concentration quantity. The conversion equation for changes in electrical resistance to concentration was obtained from the measurement of the change in electrical resistance of methylene blue solutions at concentration of 100 ppm, 200 ppm, 400 ppm, 600 ppm, 800 ppm, 1000 ppm. The equation was obtained based on the exponential regression approach with error value of 15,70 %. The analyzer test was carried out by measuring the concentration of methylene blur solution at a concentration of 500 ppm, 600 ppm, and 700 ppm. The test results show an error value of 9,83 %.

Abstract

Pengabdian ini merupakan bentuk kegiatan pemberdayaan masyarakat dalam pemafaatan limbah lampu hemat energi (LHE) untuk pembuatan lampu emergency. Pembuatan lampu emergency dilakukan dengan metode JouleThief. Metode ini mampu meningkatkan daya listrik rendah dari sumber baterai 1,5 volt menjadi arus bolak-balik AC yang dapat menyalakan lampu LED. Peserta dalam kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah sekitar 32 orang. Setiap peserta pengabdian dibina tentang proses pemanfaatan limbah lampu LHE yang sudah tidak terpakai agar menjadi barang siap guna dan memiliki nilai jual ekonomis. Komponen yang digunakan dalam pembuatan lampu emergency semuanya diperoleh dari komponen dari bekas lampu LHE. Dengan kegiatan ini diharapkan masyarakat mitra menjadi paham tentang bagaimana memanfaatkan limbah yang sulit terurai menjadi barang siap jual. Hasil pengabdian menunjukkan bahwa pencapaian TIK sebelum kegiatan pengabdian pembuatan lampu emergency dengan teknik Joule Thief adalah 35,63%. Pencapaian TIK setelah kegiatan pengabdian pembuatan emergency adalah 80,94%. Dari hasil tersebut, terjadi peningkatan untuk masing-masing pencapaian TIK dengan rata-rata sebesar 45,31%.

Abstract

In this research, the water turbidity measurement tool based on Arduino Uno has been designed and built using phototransistors and infrared LEDs. This measuring instrument consists of a series of infrared sensors, Arduino as a process, LCD I2C as a value viewer, Micro SD as a data storage, and RTC as a timer. This study used two water samples with various concentrations. The sample used, namely distilled water plus impurities in the form of soil and ash. The distilled water used is still 100 ml with variations in the concentration of impurities ranging from 0,1-0,9 gr. Sensor test results show that the greater the turbidity level, the greater the voltage obtained. Sensor scanning ranges from 2,02 V-4,00 V for groundwater and 2,02 V-4,31 V for ash water. The reading uses a standard measuring instrument for groundwater ranging from 0 NTU to 331,4 NTU, while for ash water ranging from 0 NTU to 284,4 NTU. Data from the sensor test results in an equation used to convert the artificial measuring instrument's voltage value into a turbidity value. Then, data is taken using the same sample, so groundwater's turbidity value was obtained from 0 NTU to 318,94 NTU while for ash water from 0 NTU to 285,13 NTU. Based on the results, average accuracy for water was obtained. Soil amounted to 94,66%, while for ash water was 96,63%.

Abstract

The electrical characteristics of cassava peel and cassava can be determined by using a pair of electrode copper (Cu) and zinc (Zn). The measurement of the electrical characteristics of cassava peel had been done using a 5 watt LED load and when the load is released. Cassava peel and cassava are used without fermentation and with fermentation. Electrolyte cell that used consists of 20 cells, which were arranged in series and parallel, with volume + 200 ml for one cell. The maximum power generated cassava peel 5.8597 mW, and 14.1052 mW on cassava. Zn2 electrode (zinc battery used) produces a larger power, which is 5.8597 mW compared with Zn1 (ordinary zinc) is 1.9902 mW. Cassava peel without fermentation produces a larger voltage of 20.76 volts, compared with cassava peel 19.17 volts of fermentation. In cassava peel, circuit cell power in series a larger of 5.8597 volts, compared with circuit power in parallel is 5.7078 volts

Abstract

The IoT Application in the Shrimp Pond Water Quality Monitoring System has been realized using Arduino Uno Application. This research was conducted to determine of the quality of shrimp pond water using an android smartphone. Sensor input (Temperature, pH and Dissolved Oxygen (DO)) from the sensor readings are processed on Arduino then sent to an android smartphone using ESP8266-01 and measurement result will be displayed on the Blynk Application. The Blynk application will receive water quality data to be displayed in the form of real values or chart. The result obtained that, the system can measure the quality of shrimp pond water using temperature sensor, pH sensor, and DO sensor based on Arduino Uno and control sensors when measuring received data displayed on Blynk application.

Abstract

Kompetensi dan keterampilan guru dalam pengelolaan laboratorium IPA SMP/MTs di Kabupaten Lampung Timur Provinsi Lampung masih rendah. Laboratorium IPA belum diberdayakan secara optimal dalam pembelajaran. Keterampilan khusus yaitu: mereparasi, memodifikasi dan menduplikasi alat-alat laboratorium yang dimiliki guru juga masih rendah. Di samping itu, kesempatan untuk mengikuti pelatihan keterampilan khusus laboratorium bagi guru IPA SMP/MTs masih minim. Tujuan kegiatan adalah untuk meningkatkan kompetensi keterampilan pengelola laboratorium IPA SMP/MTs di Kabupaten Lampung Timur. Metode kegiatan meliputi: tes awal, pemaparan materi (ceramah dan praktik yang diikuti peserta), dan tes akhir. Kegiatan dilaksanakan dua hari, yaitu tanggal 26—27 September 2019, di SMPN 1 Batanghari Kabupaten Lampung Timur. Jumlah peserta 48 orang guru, berasal dari 21 kecamatan di Kabupaten Lampung Timur. Hasil tes awal diperoleh nilai terendah 20, tertinggi 70, dan rata-rata 49. Pemberian materi dilaksanakan dengan metode ceramah, sedangkan pelatihan keterampilan peserta dibuat kelompok (satu kelompok terdiri atas 3—4 orang guru) dengan metode praktikum. Untuk mengetahui hasil pelatihan, di akhir kegiatan dilaksanakan tes. Hasil tes akhir diperoleh nilai terendah 50, tertinggi 90, dan rata-rata 69. Hal ini menunjukkan peningkatan komptensi dan keterampilan peserta yang ditunjukkan dengan peningkatan nilai tes. Materi tes berupa soal untuk mengetahui kompetensi dan keterampilan pengelolaan laboratorium.
