Abstract

Based on the phenomenon that researchers can be in the field when conducting interviews with several guidance and counseling teachers and students find that there are students who are perpetrators of bullying, students take acts of hazing, students take the act of "happy slapping", calling friends by name calls, take violent actions such as pinching, blackmailing and threatening. The purpose of this study is to describe (1) the tendency of bullying from the type of verbal bullying, (2) the tendency of bullying from the type of physical bullying, (3) the tendency of bullying from the type of relational bullying, and (4) the tendency of bullying from the type of cyberbullying behavior. This type of research is descriptive. The research subjects were 45 students of class VIII and IX of SMP N 12 Padang who were registered in the 2018/2019 school year. The instrument used in this study was a student bullying behavior questionnaire with a likert scale model. The data analysis technique used is the percentage technique. The research findings revealed that (1) the tendency of bullying behavior of students of SMP N 12 Padang seen from the type of verbal bullying was classified as high (2) the tendency of bullying behavior of students of SMP N 12 Padang viewed from its type. physical bullying is classified as moderate, (3) the tendency of bullying behavior of students of SMP N 12 Padang seen from the type of relational bullying is classified as high and (4) the tendency of bullying from the type of cyberbullying behavior is classified as moderate. . Based on these findings, it is expected that the guidance and counseling teacher helps students in minimizing the tendency of student bullying behavior by providing information services, content mastery services, group guidance services, group counseling services and individual counseling services with material related to student bullying behavior.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the phenomenon of many teenagers who tend to behave in bullying, such as chiding, hitting, spitting, throwing, calling names with labels, threatening, and frightening. Bullying behavior is a negative behavior that is thought to be one of the contributing factors is low self control. This study aims to reveal the relationship of self-control with the tendency of bullying behavior of students. This research is a descriptive and correlational type of research with quantitative methods. The sample in this study were 256 students consisting of classes VII, VIII and IX. The data collection instrument was a self-control questionnaire with a tendency for bullying behavior in students using the Likert scale. The data is processed using Pearson product moment formula with the Statical Product and Service Solution (SPSS) program version 20.0. The results of this study reveal that there is a relationship of self-control with the tendency of bullying behavior of students, high or low self-control will affect the tendency of bullying behavior. Based on the findings of this study, it is expected that the BK counselor or counselor can provide assistance and services in the form of guidance and counseling services.

Abstract

Various juvenile delinquencies today lead them to the realm of law so they go to jail. The government has sought to provide coaching for juvenile inmates so that they are ready to enter new life once free, but the coaching that has been implemented has not been able to optimally reduce the problems of juvenile inmates. One of the problems that juvenile inmates face is the feeling of excessive fear and anxiety unacceptable in the social environment after being released from prison, which is also called social anxiety. For that, it takes a variety of understanding and appropriate programs to overcome social anxieties of juvenile inmates who can be done through counseling and counseling services This paper discusses the basic concepts of social anxiety and the importance of counseling and guidance services

Abstract

This study aims to describe the level of assertiveness of students cared for by single parent mothers before and after being given group guidance services. This study uses a quantitative method with an experimental approach type The One-Group Post-Test Design Pre-Test. The research subjects were students who were cared for by single parent mothers at SMK Negeri 9 Padang totaling 10 people. The data collection technique uses a questionnaire with a Likert scale model. Data were analyzed using the Wilcoxon Signed Ranks Test formula. The research findings revealed that the assertiveness of students cared for by single parent mothers before being given group guidance was in the moderate category with a percentage of 72.16% and after being given group guidance services the results of the posttest were in the moderate category with a percentage of 89.8%. This revealed that there were differences in the level of student assertiveness before and after being given group guidance services. With the findings of these studies BK teachers can continue to improve and develop guidance and counseling services, especially group guidance services to help improve the assertiveness of other students.

Abstract

Self-confidence is needed by students, so students are able to develop their competencies with confidence. Ideally, self-confidence of students must be in the high category. However, the reality is that there are still many students at school, especially students who are labeled negative have low self-confidence. Various studies have been conducted with regard to confidence with certain variables. This study focuses on testing the increase in self-confidence of students who are labeled negatively through group guidance. This research uses quantitative methods with the one group pretest-posttest design experimental approach. The research subjects were 10 students in Padang 33 Junior High School who were labeled negative. Data collection techniques using a questionnaire with a Likert scale model. This research was conducted in July-August 2019. Data collected was analyzed using the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test formula with the help of Statistical Product and Service Solution (SPSS) Version 20. Based on the results of the study found there were differences in the increase in self-confidence of students who were labeled negative on when the pretest is in the medium category and the posttest is in the high category. Therefore BK teachers are advised to be able to develop group guidance services to help increase student confidence.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the phenomenon of students not completing school work within the deadline due to lack of confidence in their abilities. This type of research is descriptive correlational. The study population numbered 745 students and a sample of 282 students in SMP N 25 Padang. The sampling technique used in this study is Stratified Random Sampling. The instrument used in data collection was a questionnaire of the relationship of confidence with academic procrastination with a choice of Likert scale model answers. Analysis of the data used is descriptive analysis with percentage techniques and to see the relationship between the two variables used statistical analysis with the Pearson Product Moment Correlation technique with the help of the SPSS For Windows 20.0 program. The results of the study revealed that: 1) In general most of the results of the study revealed the confidence of students in SMP Negeri 25 Padang having a moderate level of confidence. 2) Most of the results of the study revealed the academic procrastination of students at SMP Negeri 25 Padang in the medium category. 3) There is a significant negative correlation of self-confidence with students' academic procrastination in SMP Negeri 25 Padang meaning that the higher the level of student's self-confidence, the lower the student's academic procrastination.

Abstract

Masa remaja akhir yang mana merupakan masa transisi dari masa remaja ke masa dewasa harus dilalui setiap individu sebelum individu menjadi seorang dewasa yang  matang, bertanggung jawab dan   kreatif. Masa remaja akhir juga merupakan masa transisi, masa dimana seseorang berada di suatu persimpangan antara apa yang diinginkan dan apa yang harus dilakukan. Untuk menjadi orang dewasa, maka remaja akan melalui  masa  krisis di  mana remaja berusaha untuk mencari identitas diri mereka.

Abstract

In July 2012, it's registered that 58% of 47 million people who have smartphone in Indonesian is dominated by teenager aged 14 until 17 years (result of research by Nielsen). Students should be use the smartphone appropriate with function to pointing students on a positive thing, but students indicate that they still use smartphone for a negative thing. This study aimed to analyze and to describe about motives of students to choose smartphone and the use of smartphone by students SMA Pembangunan Laboratorium UNP Padang. This research is a quantitative study with descriptive approach. The population is all students who have a smartphone as many as 227 students. Sample as many as 145 students. Instrument used is the scale of motive students have a smartphone and the use of smartphone. The results of data analysis showed that: (1) the level of motive students have a smartphone in SMA Pembangunan Laboratorium UNP Padang at the high category, and (2) the level of use smartphone by students SMA Pembangunan Laboratorium UNP Padang also at the high category.

Abstract

This study departs from the expectation that high or low student learning motivation are influenced by self-efficacy and family environment. The results of the study show that: 1) self-efficacy has a significant effect on learning motivation. 2) self-efficacy and parental support have a significant effect on learning motivation. This research is an associative descriptive study. The sample in this study is the business management students of class X and XI that are registered at Padang Private Vocational School. The findings from this study are expected to be a reference for teachers and other academic communities to be able to pay more attention to students in learning by giving attention to the family environment and paying attention to their learning attitudes and also help increase student motivation in learning so that maximum learning outcomes are obtained

Abstract

The internet which is often used as a supply of various information and entertainment turns out to have many impacts. Impacts that are often caused are generally negative, one of which is the tendency of individuals to access matters relating to pornography or sexuality commonly known as cybersex. Cybersex can be interpreted as sexual activities, sexual shows or conversations that lead to matters relating to sexuality. But the reality in the field there are still students who access porn sites so that, can disrupt daily activities. If this problem is not resolved early on, this will have a negative impact on the individual. Allegedly one of the factors that influence it is self-control. Self-control is the ability to guide one's own behavior, the ability to emphasize or block impulses or impulse behavior. This study aims to determine the relationship between self-control and the tendency of cybersex behavior of students at Adabiah Padang Senior High School and the implications for guidance and counseling services. This type of research is a correlational descriptive study with quantitative methods. The population of this study was all male and female students of class X and XI majoring in Natural Sciences and Social Sciences at Adabiah Padang Senior High School, with a total sample of 149 students. Sample selection using Purposive Sampling technique. The research instrument used was a self-control questionnaire and cybersex with a Likert scale model. The results revealed that (1) the tendency of cybersex behavior of students in Adabiah Padang senior high school on average was categorized very high, (2) Self-control of students in Adabiah Padang senior high school was on average categorized low (3) There was a significant negative relationship between self-control with the tendency of cybersex behavior of students at Adabiah Padang Senior High School. Based on the research findings, it is suggested to the school counselor to be able to provide counseling services namely information services, content mastery services, individual counseling services, group counseling services and group guidance in order to help students who have self-control problems and cybersex behavioral tendencies.
