Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan pemerolehan bahasa anak usia 2 tahun khususnya dalam ranah sintaksis di PAUD Santa Maria Kota Mataram. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian sinkronis menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif, yaitu penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Subjek dari penelitan ini adalah Anak usia 2 tahun di PAUD Santa Maria dan objek dari penelitian ini adalah pemerolehan bahasa, yakni pemerolehan kalimat deklaratif, imperatif, dan interogatif. Data penelitian ini dikumpulkan dengan teknik simak libat cakap dan simak libat catat. Setelah data dianalisis kemudian data diklasifikasikan menjadi pemerolehan kalimat deklaratif, imperatif dan interogatif. Berdasarkan analisis data yang telah dilakukan, ditemukan bahwa pemerolehan bahasa pada anak usia 2 tahun dari bulan April sampai dengan bulan Mei 2018 adalah  kalimat deklaratif sebanyak 54 kalimat , kalimat imperatif 18 kalimat, dan kalimat Interogatif 13 kalimat. Data hasil penelitian ini juga menunjukkan bahwa anak-anak usia 2 tahun lebih cenderung menggunakan kalimat deklaratif daripada imperatif dan  interogatif dalam percakapan sehari-hari.

Abstract

Pelatihan ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan bahasa Inggris pemuda karang taruna di Dusun Mambalan Kecamatan Gunung Sari dengan menggunakan metode audio visual. Dengan adanya pelatihan ini diharapkan dapat membantu para peserta dalam mengatasi kesulitan mata pelajaran bahasa Inggris di sekolah dan memberikan keterampilan berkomunikasi dalam bahasa Inggris secara baik dan benar kepada para pemuda karang taruna Dusun Mambalan. Tahapan dalam pelatihan ini terdiri dari; (1) survey kelompok sasaran, (2) persiapan sarana dan prasarana, (3) pelaksanaan pelatihan yang terdiri dari penyajian materi bahasa Inggris dengan menggunakan metode audio visual, (4) evaluasi untuk melihat keefektifan kegiatan pengabdian, (5) penyusunan laporan dan pembuatan artikel publikasi. Simpulan yang didapat adalah pelatihan bahasa Inggris dengan menggunakan metode audio visual dapat diselenggarakan dengan baik. Pelatihan yang telah dirancang dapat terlaksana sesuai harapan meskipun awalnya terdapat kendala yaitu pada tahap awal kegiatan para pemuda desa berasal dari sekolah dan kelas yang berbeda sehingga pemilihan materi ajar harus disesuaikan.

Abstract

Abstrak: Pelatihan ini bertujuan untuk menumbuhkan jiwa kepemimpinan dan meningkatkan kemampuan Bahasa Inggris anak-anak dan remaja di kampung Wisata Adat Sengkoah. Metode yang digunakan dalam pembelajaran Bahasa Inggris ini adalah metode communicative language teaching yang menekankan pada interaksi baik pada proses maupun tujuan pembelajaran dan memfokuskan pada exposure yaitu memberikan kesempatan lebih besar kepada pembelajar untuk berbicara Bahasa Inggris. Tahapan dalam pelaksanaan ini terdiri dari survey kelompok sasaran, analisis kebutuhan kelompok sasaran, persiapan materi, pelaksanaan Pengabdian Pada Masyarakat (PPM), evaluasi kegiatan PPM, dan penyusunan laporan dan pembuatan artikel publikasi. Hasil pengabdian menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan Bahasa Inggris anak-anak dan remaja di Desa Wisata Adat Sengkoah menjadi lebih baik dan meningkat dibuktikan dengan para pembelajar mampu mengungkapkan introduction, numbers, part of body, animals dan public places.Abstarct:This training aims to foster a leadership skill and to improve the English skills of children and young people in the Sengkoah Traditional Tourism village. The method used is communicative language teaching that emphasizes on interaction with both the process and learning objectives and focuses on exposure, which is to provide greater opportunities for learners to speak English. The stages in this implementation consist of survey of target groups, the needs analysis of target groups, preparation of materials, implementation of Community Service (PPM), evaluation of PPM activities, and preparation of the reports and preparation for publication of the article. The results showed that the English skills of children and adolescents in the Sengkoah Indigenous Tourism Village are better and increased proven by the students being able to express introduction, numbers, parts of body, animals and public places.

Abstract

AbstractOne of the most basic language capacities is the ability to express what the speaker sees, hears, feels, tastes, and kisses. Linguistic Anthropology is an interdisciplinary study of how language in a community is not only the logic of a linguistic system but also how speakers express something using language. The use of lexicon contains abstractions of cultural values and norms in the form of language which contain meaning, purpose and message. The purpose of this study is to identify the type and meaning of the lexicon as a tool used in the traditional event of ngendang. This research is descriptive qualitative. The data of this study were taken in the Batujai village - Praya using the interview method, observation and receiving information about the meaning of the lexicon as a tool used in the traditional event of Ngendang through informants. The researcher found 15 kinds of the tools used in traditional event of ngendang, and every tool has a lexicon that contains meaning, message and hope for sasaknese in Batujai village. Keywords: linguistic anthropologi, lexicon, ngendang, sasaknese, cultural values

Abstract

Teaching English for the non-English Department has a huge challenge. Most of the students are in low motivation to learn a foreign language including English because they are more interested in their main subject than the supported subject. They assumed that English is difficult and complicated so that they have a low desire to learn the subject. It affects their competences and performances, therefore another creative method is crucial to be implemented in the classroom. One of the solutions is creating a fun learning of English final project. This research aims to identify whether drama can build their motivation and interest to speak and learn English. Drama can be performed by the students in groups and create stories based on their creativity. The research method used is qualitative by interviewing some of the students and the quantitative research methods by distributing a questionnaire. The research results show that most of the students stated that learning English through drama has a positive effect on their motivation, it is more than 45% of the students agree that drama encourages them to learn English. It is expected that drama can be implemented in the classroom to enhance students’ motivation in the first semester of the year.

Abstract

This research has five goals. If there is an effectiveness among IT, CA, and conventional models; the second is if the IT the model is more effective than the conventional one; the third is if the CA model is more effective than the conventional one; the fourth is if the IT model is more effective than the CA model; and the fifth is if the IT model is the most effective among the three models in the teaching ESP at Universitas Bumigora. This research is quasi-experimental with a randomized pretest-posttest control group design. The population is all of the students of ESP at Universitas Bumigora. The sample used the simple cluster random sampling technique. The instruments used are assessment rubric and English assignment sheet. The data is collected through the assignment of English and assed with English assessment rubric. The data analyzed using two-way ANOVA. The result of this study shown that there is significance difference among three teaching model one with sig. value 0.169. IT is less effective than conventional with sig 0.28 ≤ 0.05 or Ho is accepted; CA is more effective than conventional model with sig value 0.723 ≥ 0.05.

Abstract

Various ways used to express ideas, feelings, and opinions. Art is one of the most effective modes to convey emotions. Playback theatre by combining artistic relation and social relation becomes a method applied. Playback theatre concerns with the telling process. Pre-test and post-test were conducted to identify the previous knowledge of the participants before providing materials and to recognize the knowledge after the activity. The empowerment activity results show that playback theatre has a positive impact on the participants to reduce nervously and it establishes chemistry between actors and music players so that the performance could be satisfied and better. It is expected that other lecturers or researchers implement and develop the playback theatre method to decrease tension and nervousness in playing roles as actors.

Abstract

The development of home-based businesses in Indonesia is very fast, especially in areas such as the island of Lombok. Most of the people depend on the economy from the results of selling, ranging from selling clothes, toys and household furniture, but in the city of Mataram itself, it is already crowded with home-based food businesses whose activists are housewives who want to increase pocket money or monthly money and look for busy activities. Later it is expected to be able to bring in income which is considered capable of increasing household economic income. The business that is currently booming is the Geprek chicken business which can be easily found along the streets of Mataram City. Geprek chicken business itself is a business that is classified as very easy to do because its composition only consists of chicken coated with crispy flour, added with rice and cucumber vegetables and geprek chili sauce. It is very popular with the public because 1 package of geprek chicken is only valued at Rp. 10,000, - and that includes Ice Tea. Meanwhile, the partner in this service is Warung Armina. Warung Armina is a geprek chicken stall located in the Karang Pule neighborhood of Mataram City. Warung Armina not only sells geprek chicken but also nasi padang, kebuli rice and mixed rice, so this is what sets it apart from other geprek chicken stalls. In the development of its business, Warung Armina is only run by a husband and wife who rely on neighbors and motorcyclists who pass in front of the house so that this becomes an attraction for our team to do service to the Armina stall until we get the right model for labeling and packaging. The activities were carried out by observing, interviewing and having direct dialogue with the shop owners about the wishes and obstacles they faced. With a comfortable dialogue, the expected final result is the right label and promotion for armina stalls up to the registration of Armina stalls at Grabfood Merchant and Gofood Merchant.

Abstract

This research aims to describe language acquisition in children age 2 years especially in the realm of syntax at PAUD Santa Maria Mataram City. This research is synchronic research used the qualitative method which was descriptive method. The subject of this research was the children age 2 years at PAUD Santa Maria and the object of this research was language acquisition which was the acquisition of declarative, interrogative, and imperative.  The data was collected by simak libat baca technique and simak libat catat.  After the data was analyzed, the data was classified into the acquisition of declarative, interrogative, and imperative. Based on the data analysis that has done, found language acquisition of children age two years from April to May were 54 declaratives, 18 imperatives, and 13 interrogatives. The result of this study also shows that the children age 2 years are more likely used declarative sentences than interrogative and imperative in the daily conversation.
