Abstract

Ketersediaan bahan ajar untuk mata kuliah Fisika Dasar yang dapat mendukung terciptanya pembelajaran yang efektif dan interaktif di STKIP PGRI dirasakan masih kurang. Susunan materi yang terdapat pada bahan ajar kurang sistematis dengan rancangan pembelajaran atau silabus yang disusun oleh oleh dosen mata kuliah sehingga mahasiswa kesulitan untuk belajar mandiri. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan suatu bahan ajar yang dapat membantu mahasiswa dalam memahami konsep-konsep fisika, analisis matematika dan dapat meningkatkan minat mahasiswa terhadap pembelajaran Fisika Dasar. Salah satu bahan ajar yang dapat dikembangkan adalah handout Fisika Dasar berbasis konstruktivis yang valid dan praktis.Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian pengembangan (research and development) menggunakan model yang dikemukakan oleh Plomp. Adapun tahap penelitian yang dilakukan dalam penelitian ini dibatasi pada fase investigasi awal (preliminary research) dan fase perancangan dan realisasi (prototyping phase), dan fase penilaian (assessment phase). Pada fase investigasi awal, peneliti melakukan analisis awal atau identifikasi masalah, analisis kebutuhan, analisis konsep atau isi materi, dan pengkajian literatur yang diperlukan dalam pembelajaran. Pada fase perancangan dan realisasi dilakukan perancangan yang diiringi formative evaluation untuk melakukan uji validitas dan kepraktisan. Data penelitian ini diperoleh melalui lembar validasi handout dan angket praktikalitas.Hasil validasi dan uji kepraktisan menunjukkan handout yang dihasilkan sangat valid dengan persentase rata-rata sebesar 92,55 % dan sangat praktis dengan persentase rata-rata  82,25 %. Dengan demikian, handout fisika dasar yang dihasilkan dapat digunakan dalam pembelajaran. Kata Kunci: Pembelajaran Konstruktivis, Handout, Validitas, dan Praktikalitas

Abstract

This study aims to analyze preliminary data on lecture conditions as the needs in developing science teaching aids. This research is the initial stage of research and development using the development model proposed by Plomp, namely preliminary research. Data collected by using questionnaire given to physics education students semester July-December 2017. Data analysis technique used in the form of descriptive statistical analysis.The results of this study are: 1) the available teaching materials are quite varied, 2) the assignments given in lectures can help students in understanding the material, 3) control of ideas and project work in lectures is still lacking, so students have limitations to develop their creativity, and 4)the students have considerable potential in understanding the material, but the number of students who have ideas in solving problems and who are able to correct friends answers, and those who actively ask are still low.It can be conclude that the development science teaching aids based on project-based learning need to be done to improve student creativity.

Abstract

Kegiatan PKM ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kompetensi guru-guru SMP Lubuk Sikaping dalam mengembangkan media interaktif berbasis kontekstual. Metode yang digunakan terdiri dari beberapa tahap yaitu tahap observasi, persiapan, pelaksanaan, monitoring. Hasil analisis data dari pretest dan postest, disimpulkan bahwa kegiatan PKM ini telah dapat meningkatkan kemampuan guru-guru IPA SMP Lubuk Sikaping dalam mengembangkan media pembelajaran interaktif, sehingga dapat meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran. Berdasarkan angket yang diberikan pada akhir kegiatan pelatihan, diperoleh hasil bahwa peserta menyatakan kegiatan ini sangat bermanfaat dan berkaitan dengan pembelajaran di sekolah

Abstract

Abstract Low understanding of the students in learning physics suspected because physics learning patterns have not been able to optimize students' critical thinking skills. As known, the critical thinking is the key to academic success of a student. Currently, lack of critical thinking skills of students as one of the clear indicators of low quality of education. If this is allowed, then the physics learning outcomes in the future will be very apprehensive. Therefore, efforts should be made to improve critical thinking skills using interactive multimedia teaching materials based on discovery learning aided games. The development of teaching materials are using ADDIE Model. The first step of this model is analysis, i.e. preliminary study of physics learning how to condition that has lasted until today. Based on the analysis of the field findings, will be designed Interactive Multimedia Instructional Materials, and then will be the development of Instructional Materials. In this paper, we will present the results of the initial needs analysis to develop the interactive multimedia teaching materials based on discovery learning aids game for physics learning in the future. Abstract

Learning physics shows that students' understanding of concepts is still low, and there are misconceptions. One solution to overcome this problem is to create conflict-cognitive-based physics teaching materials that integrate virtual laboratories. The purpose of this research was to produce valid cognitive conflict teaching materials. The type of research was development research using the Plomp model. The preliminary research instruments were in the form of concept tests and questionnaires. Meanwhile, a self-evaluation sheet was used at the development stage, and a validation sheet used three validators. The self-evaluation data analysis technique used percentage techniques, while the validity used the Aiken's V formula. At the preliminary research stage, it was found that more than 30% of students experienced misconceptions, and 40% of students did not understand the concept. From questionnaires to teachers, it was found that learning was still teacher-centred, and ICT facilities had not been used optimally. At the development stage, a prototype of teaching materials was designed using the cognitive conflict-based learning model stages. The self-evaluation test results obtained a score of 85, which was categorized as very good, while in the expert review test, the value of all components was 0.81 was categorized as very valid and capable of being tested for practicality and effectiveness tests in learning.

Abstract

Ideally, students who study Computational Physics are required to think computationally. However, student learning outcomes tend to be low. Low learning outcomes are suspected by students having difficulties. One of the causes of learning difficulties is students' attitude in responding to learning. This study aims to determine student attitudes in studying Computational Physics and the factors influencing student learning difficulties. This research is descriptive research with a quantitative approach. The population in this study were students of Physics FMIPA UNP. The sample in this research is students who take Computational Physics courses in January-June 2021. The data analysis technique used is the multivariate analysis based on factor loading testing with Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) using Lisrel 8.80. The results showed that students' attitudes toward Computational Physics were good, with a percentage of student responses of 67.16%. Factors that influence learning difficulties are internal factors in the form of psychological factors in the aspect of interest (65%), motivational aspects (58%), and aspects of study habits (49%). Meanwhile, external factors do not affect students' difficulties in studying Computational Physics. Further research, it is necessary to carry out a similar analysis by taking into account other factors that are thought to influence the attitudes and difficulties of students in studying Computational Physics, both internal and external factors, so that they are better in determining the next steps to overcome student difficulties in studying Computational Physics.

Abstract

Learning physics cannot be carried out simply by memorizing, listening, and seeing without experiencing. Physics learning requires students to be able to think critically, creatively, have problem solving skills, and be able to make decisions. In order for students to get meaningful lessons in physics, they need to find their own concepts to be understood. This can be achieved by using an appropriate learning model. One learning model that can be used is guided inquiry. This study aimed to determine the validity of HOTS-oriented worksheets in the guided inquiry model of static fluid learning material. This type of research was Research and Development (R&D). The development steps carried out by Borg and Gall. The instrument used in the study was the validity test sheet. The data analysis technique used is descriptive statistical analysis.Based on the data analysis, the results show that the HOTS-oriented worksheet in the guided inquiry model on static fluid learning material has a high validity value of 86.65. It means, the learning materials are ready to use in learning process.

Abstract

      The 2013 curriculum requires teachers to encourage students to think at a higher level and possess higher-order thinking skills known as Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS). To achieve this the teacher must consciously and continuously practice using learning strategies with an orientation to training students to think at a higher level. This relates to the learning components that must be prepared by the teacher such as learning models, learning media, and teaching materials. One of the aids for students is teaching materials in the form of worksheets. This research is a descriptive study with a qualitative approach. The population of data in this study is the entire semester X semester I high school physics textbook used by 23 schools in West Sumatra. Sampling was done by purposive sampling technique. The sample in this study was the highest school physics class X 1-semester worksheet used by schools published by two different publishers and four worksheets made by Physics teachers in the school where the worksheet was used. The data in this study were taken using LKS presentation analysis instruments and data collection techniques through documentation studies. Based on the research that has been done, it can be concluded that the Analysis conducted on the Physics Worksheets for Class X Senior High School Semester I related to the availability of HOTS components obtained the results of the analysis that LKS who obtained a percentage with the fullness of indicators on the highest HOTS component namely LKS made by high school subject teachers 12 Padang 39%. Whereas the Physics Worksheet that received a percentage of the fulfillment of indicators on the lowest HOTS component was the Worksheet published by CV Grahadi 14%.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of guided inquiry learning models in physics learning. The method used is a meta-analysis that summarizes and analyzes research results that have been published nationally and internationally relating to the guided inquiry model in physics learning. The analysis sample was twenty-six journals published in the last 10 years. Writing instruments in the form of sheets coding that encapsulate data and journal information. The results of this study are the guided inquiry learning model based on the level of education are both effectively used both at the senior high school level and junior high school level withcategories effect size large. Viewed from the learning material, the guided inquiry learning model is more effectively used in sound resonance material. Meanwhile, based on the dependent variable used, the value of effectiveness with a high category is found inabilities Higher Order thinking Skills students'(HOTS). Then it can be concluded that the guided inquiry learning model on physics learning is very effective to be used in supporting the learning process especially the ability of Higher Order thinking Skills (HOTS) students.
