Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan instrumen pengukuran motivasi berprestasi guru. Guru dituntut untuk memiliki kreativitas dan mampu berinovasi dalam mengembangkan pembelajaran secara terus menerus.  Hal ini tentu tidak akan mungkin dilakukan oleh guru jika guru tidak memiliki motivasi yang tinggi atau yang sering disebut sebagai motivasi berprestasi. Penilaian motivasi berprestasi belum banyak dilakukan secara rinci, tetapi masih sebatas penilaian kualitatif dan kurang terukur. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Research and Development. Mengembangkan butir pernyataan berdasarkan indikator, mengecek validitas dan reliabilitas butir pernyataan, dan mengembangkan kualitas butir pernyataan. Partisipan dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 70 responden guru SD Swasta se-Kota Bogor. Item pernyataan sebanyak 40 menggunakan skala Likert untuk mengukur motivasi berprestasi guru. Sebanyak 29 butir memenuhi kriteria valid dengan konsistensi yang baik (koefisien Alpha-Cronbach 0.88). Berdasarkan nilai-nilai tersebut, dapat disimpulkan bahwa instrumen pengukuran yang dikembangkan dalam penelitian ini memberikan ukuran yang objektif untuk motivasi berprestasi guru. Abstract: This study aims to develop an instrument for measuring teacher achievement motivation. Teachers are required to have the creativity and be able to innovate in developing continuous learning. This of course would not be possible by the teacher if the teacher does not have the high motivation or what is often referred to as achievement motivation. Achievement motivation evaluation has not been done much, but it is still limited to a qualitative assessment and is not measurable. This research used the Research and Development method. Develop items based on indicators, check the validity and reliability of approved items, and develop the quality of approved items. Participants in this study were 70 respondents of private elementary school teachers in the city of Bogor. Item recognizes as many as 40 using the Likert scale to measure teacher achievement motivation. A total of 29 items met valid criteria with a good consistency (Alpha-Cronbach coefficient 0.88). Based on these values, it can be concluded that the measurement instruments developed in this study provide an objective measure for teacher achievement motivation.

Abstract

Penelitian literatur ini bertujuan untuk mencari solusi terkait dengan upaya meningkatan perhatian siswa khususnya ditingkat awal yaitu kelas 1, 2 dan 3 terhadap tugas belajarnya selama proses pembelajaran berlangsung menggunakan media pembelajaran visual. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode tinjauan literatur integratif. Metode ini menggabungkan berbagai artikel berbasis empiris dan penelitian, buku, dan literatur lain yang dipublikasikan tentang penggunaan media visual dalam meningkatkan perhatian belajar siswa kelas awal tersebut. Penelitian literatur ini menyimpulkan: (1) Perhatian adalah proses pemilihan informasi yang dikontrol secara sukarela oleh subjek (sadar), atau dapat karena pengaruh beberapa peristiwa eksternal yang ditangkap indera (tidak sadar); (2) Proses perhatian terjadi melalui seleksi, kesadaran, dan control; (3) Model media visual yang digunakan sebaiknya bervariasi baik media pembelajaran yang dibuat oleh guru maupun media dari internet. Media visual dalam bentuk infografis merupakan model media visual yang paling disarankan; (4) Implikasi dari fungsi media visual terhadap memori penginderaan antara lain: (a) memori pengindera hanya dapat mengolah informasi dalam jumlah terbatas, sehingga media visual yang digunakan untuk menyajikan materi pembelajaran perlu didesain sedemikian sehingga informasi-informasi kunci dapat diterima oleh siswa dengan baik; (b) memori penginderaan yang memiliki daya serap paling tinggi adalah indera penglihatan, sehingga mengkombinasikan sajian informasi visual dapat meningkatkan jumlah informasi yang mampu diterima oleh memori pengindera. AbstractThis literature research aims to find solutions related to efforts to increase the attention of students, especially at the initial level, grades 1, 2 and 3 of their learning tasks during the learning process takes place using visual learning media. This study uses the method of review of integrative literature. This method combines various empirical and research-based articles, books, and other published literature on the use of visual media in increasing the attention of students learning in the early grades. This literature research concludes: (1) Attention is the process of selecting information that is voluntarily controlled by the subject (conscious), or it can be due to the influence of some external events that are sensed (unconscious); (2) The process of attention occurs through selection, awareness, and control; (3) The visual media model used should vary both the learning media made by the teacher and the media from the internet. Visual media in the form of infographics is the most recommended visual media model; (4) The implications of the function of visual media on sensing memory include: (a) memory sensors can only process information in a limited amount, so that the visual media used to present learning material needs to be designed so that key information can be received properly by students; (b) sensing memory that has the highest absorption power is the sense of sight, so combining visual information offerings can increase the amount of information that the sensory memory can receive.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to show Teacher’s Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB) that can be improved by examining variables such as Transformational Leadership and Interpersonal Communication. This study uses a survey method with a correlational approach. The number of samples used was 104 people by using proportional random sampling technique. Based on the results of the study it is concluded that: (1) there is a very significant positive relationship between the Principal Transformational Leadership and Organizational Citizenship Behavior of teachers with a simple linear regression equation Ŷ = 99.53 + 0.32 X1 and the correlation coefficient value ry.1 = 0.417. The coefficient of determination r2y.1 = 0.174 means that the Transformational Leadership (X1) contributes to the teacher's Organizational Citizenship Behavior by 17.40%, (2) there is a very significant positive relationship between Interpersonal Communication with Organizational Citizenship Behavior teachers with simple linear regression equations Ŷ = 100.44 + 0.29 X2 and the correlation coefficient ry.2 = 0.349, and the coefficient of determination r2y.2 = 0.116 which means that the contribution of Interpersonal Communication (X2) to the Organizational Citizenship Behavior of the teacher is 19.60%,  (3) there is a very significant positive relationship between Transformational Leadership and Interpersonal Communication together with the Organizational Citizenship Behavior of teachers with the multiple linear regression equation Ŷ = 77.25 +0.27 X1 +0.21 X2 and the correlation coefficient value ry.12 = 0.152. The coefficient of determination r2y.12 = 0.390 means that the Principal Transformational Leadership (X1) and Interpersonal Communication (X2) together contribute to the Organizational Citizenship Behavior of teachers (Y) by 15.20%.

Abstract

This research study aims to systematically review a variety of digital technologies that are currently developing so rapidly to be optimally utilized according to the ability of teachers and technological devices owned by schools, teachers, and students. This study uses the method of review of integrative literature. This method combines various empirical and research-based articles, books, and other published literature on digital competencies and their use in 21st century education. The literature research concludes: 1) Digital literacy is the awareness, attitude, and ability of individuals to properly use tools and digital facilities to identify, access, manage, integrate, evaluate, analyze, and synthesize digital resources, build new knowledge, make media expressions, and communicate with others, in the context of certain life situations, to enable constructive social action; 2) Digital competency is a set of knowledge, skills, attitudes needed when using ICT and digital media for various needs; 3) Digital technology that can be used by schools / teachers in the learning process including interactive whiteboards (IWB), software applications, Web 2.0, and social media; and 4) Utilization of digital technology in learning can increase students' interest and motivation in learning, the quality of learning processes, and learning outcomes, but need to pay attention to various aspects of the ability of human resources, security, and health of teachers and students.

Abstract

This study was a mixed method sequential explanatory research. This study aimed to obtain information of a relationship between naturalist intelligence and students’ participation in maintaining environmental health and the other factors which influence it. This study was conducted from February to October 2017. The analysis unit was 169 students of one of public junior high school in South Bogor District. Quantitative research results showed that correlation coefficient (ry) between naturalist intelligence and students’ participation in maintaining environmental health was 0,407. This value showed that naturalist intelligence have quite a high contribution to students’ participation in maintaining environmental health. Qualitative research results showed that there are the other factors which can influence students’ participation in maintaining environmental health, such as social interaction with their friends in the home or school environment, students’ understanding of important functions of living things, students’ habit and self-awareness, and guidance from both parents and teachers. Keywords: participation, environmental health, intelligence, naturalist intelligence

Abstract

Tujuan dilakukannya penelitian ini agar mendapatkan jawaban secara empirik: (1) Pengaruh Budaya Organisasi dan Komitmen Organisasi Terhadap career development Guru SDIT Nur Hikmah. (2) Untuk mendapatkan jawaban secara empirik Pengaruh Budaya Organisasi Terhadap career development Guru SDIT Nur Hikmah. (3) Untuk mendapatkan jawaban secara empirik Pengaruh Komitmen Organisasi Terhadap Terhadap career development Guru SDIT Nur Hikmah. Metode yang akan digunakan adalah metode survei dengan pendekatan regresi linear berganda. Sampel penelitian yang digunakan sejumlah 52 Guru SDIT Nur Hikmah Bekasi yang ditentukan dengan menggunakan Teknik simple random sampling. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa (1) terdapat Pengaruh positif dan signifikan budaya organisasi dan komitmen organisasi secara simultan terhadap career development Guru. (2) Terdapat pengaruh positif dan signifikan variabel budaya organisasi secara partial terhadap career development Guru. (3) Pengaruh positif dan signifikan variabel komitmen organisasi secara partial terhadap career development Guru. Semakin baik budaya yang diterapkan disekolah dan semakin tinggi komitmen yang dimiliki guru, maka semakin besar kesempatan dalam pengembangan karir

Abstract

ENHANCING TEACHER ENGAGEMENT THROUGH STRENGTHENING AUTHENTIC LEADERSHIP AND WORK-LIFE BALANCEThe purpose of this study was to determine empirically the improvement of teacher engagement through Authentic Leadership and The Work-Life Balance of Private Vocational School Teacher Foundation (GTY) in Tanah Sareal District, Bogor City. The number of research samples was 136 teachers who were taken from 206 permanent teachers from the school foundation. It was taken randomly by using proportional random sampling technique. The method was the correlation method. Hypothesis testing was using parametric statistical analysis in the form of simple and multiple linear regression analysis, simple and multiple correlation analysis as well as partial analysis at the significance level α = 0.01 and α = 0.05. This research brought three conclusions. Firstly, there was a positive and significant relationship between Authentic Leadership (X1) and Teacher Engagement (Y) which was shown by a simple linear regression equation Ŷ = 31.05 + 0.76X1 with a correlation coefficient ry1 = 0.892, the coefficient of determination Ry12 0.7050, significance a correlation of 22.89. Secondly, there was a positive and significant relationship between work-life balance (X2) and Teacher Engagement (Y) which was shown by the linear regression equation Ŷ = 28.14 + 0.78X2. with a correlation coefficient of ry2 = 0.75, the coefficient of determination ry2 2 = 0.6514 and a correlation significance of 13.21. Thirdly, there was a positive and significant relationship between authentic authentic leadership and work-life balance together with teacher engagement as indicated by the equation Ŷ = 26.05 + 0.56 X1 + 0.24 X2, the correlation coefficient ry. 12 = 0.715, the coefficient of determination ry.122 = 0.715 and the significance of the correlation was 20.43. Based on the results of the final research, it is stated that the GTY teacher engagement of private vocational schools in Tanah Sareal Sub-district-Bogor City can be strengthened by Authentic Leadership and Work-Life Balance.

Abstract

IMPROVING TEACHER INNOVATIVITY THROUGH STRENGTHENING PEDAGOGIC COMPETENCIES AND LEARNING ORGANIZATIONSThis study is intended to determine how teachers’ innovativeness can be improved by examining the relationship between teacher innovativeness with pedagogical competency variables and learning organizations The study was conducted using correlational statistical methods to determine whether pedagogical competency variables and learning organization have a positive relationship with teacher innovation. Based on these results, an analysis is then performed using the Sitorem Method to derive recommendations and determining the order of priority improvements that need to be implemented. The study was conducted to the government official teachers of  State Vocational School located in Bogor Regency where the total study population was 184 and the sample taken was 126 teachers. The results showed  that there was a positive relationship between pedagogical competence and teacher innovativeness where the relationship strength ry1 = 0.7655 and there was a positive relationship between learning organization and teacher innovativeness where the relationship strength ry2 = 0.2671. This proved that teacher innovation might be improved through strengthening the  pedagogical competencies and learning organizations.

Abstract

IMPROOVING SCHOOL EFFECTIVENESS THROUGH THE DEVELOPMENT OF TEACHER SELF-EFFICACY AND SCHOOL CLIMATEThis research was intended to reveal whether teacher self-efficacy and school climate have a relationship with school effectiveness. The research used a correlational research method. Data collection was carried out on 83 private vocational school teachers in Ciawi. Data analysis was performed using inferential statistics using SPSS version 22.0. The research results were concluded based on statistical analysis and  resulted in 3 conclusions; 1) there was a positive relationship between self-efficacy (X1) and school effectiveness (Y). The correlation coefficient (ry1) was 0.076, and self-efficacy contributed 0.58% of the increasing in school effectiveness. 2) There was a positive relationship between school climate (X2) and school effectiveness (Y). The correlation coefficient (ry2) was 0.905, and the school climate contributed 81.9% to the increasing of school effectiveness. 3) There was a positive relationship between self-efficacy (X1) and school climate (X2) altogether to school effectiveness (Y). The correlation coefficient (ry1.2) was 0.998. The self-efficacy and school climate altogether contributed 99.5%  of school effectiveness. Based on these findings, it could be concluded that school effectiveness might  be increased by improving self-efficacy and school climate.

Abstract

IMPROVING ORGANIZATIONAL CITIZENSHIP BEHAVIOR (OCB) THROUGH STRENGTHENING ORGANIZATIONAL CLIMATE AND ADVERSITY QUOTIENTOrganizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB) of teachers is an important behavior possessed by teachers that related in achieving the goals of school organizations and the national education system. However, the results of the preliminary survey indicated that teachers' OCB was still needed to be improved. The aim of this study was identifying a number of concrete efforts that might be implemented to improve the OCB which were concluded based on the results of the causal relationship analysis between:1) Organizational Climate and Organizational citizenship behavior (OCB) of teachers. 2) Adversity Quotient with Organizational citizenship behavior (OCB) teachers. 3) Organizational Climate and Adversity quotient altogether with Organizational citizenship behavior (OCB) teachers. This research was an empirical study using correlational approach and SITOREM analysis on non-civil servant of the state high school teachers at the Cibadak Commissariat, Sukabumi Regency. The population in this study was 148 teachers  with a sample of 108 respondents who were pointed out by using the Proportional Random Sampling technique. Hypothesis testing was carried out using parametric statistical analysis in the form of simple and multiple linear regression analysis, simple, multiple, and partial correlation analysis with a significance level of a = 0.01 and a = 0.05. This study resulted in three conclusions. First, there was a very significant positive relationship between organizational climate variables (X1) and organizational citizenship behavior (Y) where the correlation coefficient value (ry1) was 0.48 and supported by the regression equation = 87.031+0.336 X1. The contribution of X1 to Y was 23.4% as indicated by the coefficient of determination (ry1)2 of 0.234. Second, there was a significant positive relationship between adversity quotient (X2) and organizational citizenship behavior (Y) where the correlation coefficient (ry2) was 0.238 and supported by the regression equation = 98.001 + 0.236X2. The contribution of X2 to Y was 5.68% which was indicated by the coefficient of determination (ry2)2 as 0.056. Third, there was a very significant positive relationship between organizational climate (X1) and adversity quotient (X2) with organizational citizenship behavior (Y) where the correlation coefficient (ry1.2) was 0.44 and supported by the regression equation = 87.790+ 0.322X1 + 0.04 X2. The contribution of organizational climate (X1) and adversity quotient (X2) to Y was 19.7%, which was indicated by the coefficient of determination (ry1.2)2 as much as 0.197.
