Abstract

This study aims to prove the effect of Work-Life Balance and work stress on turnover intention mediated by job satisfaction of Bank Syariah Account Officers in Medan. The location of this research is in the city of Medan with the subject of research is the Sharia Bank in the city of Medan, the population of this study amounted to 150 Account Officers, with sampling techniques using Probability Sampling with simple random sampling techniques, determining the sample using the Slovin formula. Data analysis techniques in this study used path analysis. The research results partially showed that Work-life balance and work stress had a positive and significant effect on job satisfaction, Work-life balance and work stress had a positive and significant effect on turnover intention, job satisfaction had a negative and significant effect on turnover intention. Work-life balance directly influences turnover intention without going through job satisfaction, job satisfaction is not an intervening variable, Job stress has a direct effect on turnover intention without going through job satisfaction, job satisfaction is not an intervening variable.

Abstract

Financial literacy has become a hot issue to be discussed nowadays. This is because the mastery on finance can lead to financial welfare. Education highly contributes in the increment of financial literacy, and this research focuses on how gender, age, parents’ income and University affect in students’ financial literacy. This research is done to 451 Economic and Business students by using accidental sampling. Financial literacy is analyzed with descriptive analysis and factor analysis with Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) using Structural Equation Model (SEM). The result shows that age, gender, and parents’ income affect students’ financial literacy in significant way, while University lincome doesn’t affect in significant way.

Abstract

The main purpose of this research is to find out the relationship of intellectual capital and three components of intellectual capital on the performance of public universities in Medan. Three components of intellectual capital such as human capital, structural capital and relational capital were taken as independent variables and universities’ performance was taken as dependent variable. The population of this research is three public universities in Medan, such as UIN-SU (Universitas Islam Negeri) of North Sumatera, USU (University of North Sumatra) and UNIMED (Universitas Negeri Medan). Sample for this research was 300 respondents, which is collected using convenience sampling technique from lecturers and employees of three public universities in Medan. Structured questionnaires were made as a research instrument to collect data form respondents. Structural Equation Model (SEM) with AMOS were used to test the relationship between components of intellectual capital and universities performance. Results indicate that (1) all the three components show a significant relationship with performance (2) among the three components, the relation of human capital is more prominent on performance of universities.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze how the role of student financial literacy is in influencing the investment decision in the Indonesia Stock Exchange. The populations are the students of Economic and Business Faculty in University of Muhammadiyah Sumatera Utara. This is an explanatory research using descriptive analysis and causality test with SPSS tool. The samples of this research are 198 students who had ever got series of subjects related to financial management, investment and capital market. The results have shown that there are differences in the level of financial literacy in students. The results of this study also indicate that the financial literacy of students do not significantly influence their investment decision in the Indonesia Stock Exchange. The high level of financial literacy on the students is not the only factor in investment decision making. There are other factors that also influence the student investment decision making when investing in The Indonesia Stock Exchange.

Abstract

Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk memberikan edukasi secara langsung kepada warga Muhammadiyah Kota Medan, dalam hal ini Pimpinan Daerah Muhammadiyah dan Aisyiyah Kota Medan. Literasi keuangan syariah warga Muhammadiyah masuk dalam kategori kurang terliterasi, khususnya pada aspek pengetahuan keuangan syariahnya yang rendah. Dengan pengetahuan keuangan syariah yang rendah, maka warga Muhammadiyah akan mengalami kesulitan dalam mengelola keuangannya secara individu dan berdampak pada kesejahteraan keluarganya dimasa mendatang. Minimnya pengetahuan akan keuangan syariah secara umum dan produk-produk keuangan syariah yang berlaku di Indonesia sebagai faktor penyebab rendahnya pengetahuan keuangan syariah warga Muhammadiyah. Penyusunan jadwal kegiatan dan buku literasi keuangan syariah sebagai awal dalam program ini dan dilanjutkan dengan program edukasi literasi keuangan syariah. Kegiatan PKM ini akan dipublikasikan dalam jurnal ilmiah dan akan didokumentasikan melalui media massa, sehingga dapat diketahui oleh masyarakat luas bahwa warga Muhammadiyah telah mendapatkan edukasi literasi keuangan syariah, sehingga membantu program pemerintah (OJK) untuk peningkatan literasi keuangan syariah masyarakat Indonesia, khususnya Kota Medan.

Abstract

Financial literacy is an issue that is still hotly discussed today. This is because skills in finance can lead a person to financial prosperity. The world of higher education contributes to the improvement of financial literacy, and this study wants to see how the factors of gender, age, parents' income and spending in college affect the financial literacy of students. This research was conducted on 498 students of the Faculty of Economics and Business using the accidental sampling method. Financial literacy was analyzed by descriptive analysis, and factor analysis was carried out by using Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) using Structural Equation Model (SEM). The results of this study indicate that the factors of age, gender and parental income have a significant effect on student financial literacy, while the learning factor in college does not significantly affect student financial literacy.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji Bank Umum Swasta Devisa Nasional yang terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia berdasarkan Loan to Deposit Ratio dan Biaya Operasional Pendapatan Operasional terhadap Return on Asset. Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pendekatan asosiatif. Populasi penelitian adalah seluruh Bank Umum Swasta Devisa Nasional yang terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia yang berjumlah 26 perusahaan perbankan. Namun sampel diambil dengan menggunakan metode purposive sampling yang berjumlah 14 perusahaan perbankan. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah Regresi Linier Berganda. Dan hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa secara parsial LDR tidak berpengaruh terhadap ROA, BOPO berpengaruh negatif dan signifikan terhadap ROA. Sedangkan secara simultan hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa LDR dan BOPO secara bersama-sama berpengaruh signifikan terhadap ROA

Abstract

Tujuan_Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat bagaimana pengaruh dari beberapa faktor yang diduga memberikan pengaruh kuat pada harga saham perusahaan makanan dan minuman di Indonesia. Faktor-faktor yang akan di teliti pada penelitian ini adalah total asset untuk melihat ukuran perusahaan, laba perusahaan (net income), Earning per Share (EPS) yang mewakili rasio pasar dan suku bunga yang mewakili kondisi makro ekonomi. Metode/Desain_Model analisis data yang digunakan adalah model regresi linier untuk metode kuadrat terkecil biasa OLS (ordinal least square methode). Analisis data dilakukan dengan menggunakan Eviews 8. Temuan_Berdasarkan hasil penelitian variabel total aset, laba, suku bunga, dan earning per share secara bersama-sama memberikan pengaruh sebesar 71,5% kepada harga saham, sedangkan sisanya sebesar 28,6 %, dijelaskan oleh variabel lain yang tidak dimasukan ke dalam model estimasi. Hasil pengujian secara parsial menunjukkan bahwa hanya EPS dan suku bunga yang menunjukkan pengaruh signifikan, walaupun keduanya berada pada arah yang berlawanan. EPS memberikan pengaruh positif sedangkan suku Bunga memberikan pengaruh negatif terhadap harga saham. Sedangkan, total asset dan laba memberikan pengaruh yang tidak signifikan terhadap harga saham. Abstract

In conditions of high competition to find a job, students need to make career preparations as early as possible. Career preparation is begun with making decisions about the career they want to get. Then in making preparations, they need the ability to adapt to the chosen career. In addition, the social support is also needed. This study was conducted on students in one of the private university in Medan, Sumatera Utara. The test results by using the Structural Equation Model (SEM) showed that there were significant positive relationship between the ability of career adaptability and social support with career decision-making self-efficacy. It also concluded that social support partially mediates the relationship between career adaptability and career decision- making self-efficacy.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the level of high school education (SMU) and Higher Education (PT) on the Economy of North Sumatra and to identify the effect of the level of education on the economy in North Sumatra. This type of research is a descriptive study, while the approach used is a quantitative approach with a sample of GRDP data and the Labor Force over 15 years with high school education levels (SMU) and Higher Education (PT) from 20002017. The type of data used is secondary data obtained from the Central Statistics Agency. The analysis technique used is the multiple linear regression analysis (OLS) method. The results of this study indicate that partially the level of high school education (SMA) has a positive and not significant effect on the Economy of North Sumatra and the level of education of the University (PT) has a positive and significant effect on the Economy of North Sumatra while simultaneously the level of high school education (SMU) and Higher Education (PT) has a positive and significant impact on the Economy of North Sumatra.
