Abstract

The development of plantation agro-industry should refer to primary commodity approach. Until now there is no accurate reference for government Kolaka. The diversifications of products and by-product have not developed yet. The objectives of this research were to formulate development strategy of regional potential of the prime plantation agro industry. The object of this research is six primary commodities of plantation; those are cacao, clover, pepper, cashew, coconut, and coffee in Kolaka Regency with Delphi and SWOT methods. The research results showed that the development strategy of regional potential of the prime plantation agro industry there are at quadrant I or that strategy was created by using all the power to take advantage of opportunities that an aggressive strategy by doing independence improvement of the farmers through development and counseling, partnership development on agro-industry activities in the effort of giving additional value of production.

Abstract

Jagung merupakan salah satu tanaman pangan yang memiliki peranan strategis dan bernilai ekonomis serta mempunyai peluang untuk dikembangkan karena kedudukannya sebagai sumber utama karbohidrat dan protein setelah beras.  Dalam rangka upaya pencapaian swasembada pangan di Indonesia produksi jagung perlu untuk ditingkatkan. Untuk meningkatkan produksi jagung dapat melalui peningkatan produktivitas tanaman  jagung.  Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis faktor-faktor  yang mempengaruhi produksi atau penawaran jagung di Indonesia. Data yang dipergunakan adalah data time series. Metode analisis yang digunakan adalah Partial Adjusment Model berupa persamaan tunggal regresi berganda dengan fungsi Natural Logaritma (Ln) dengan menggunakan teknik estimasi Ordinary Least Square (OLS). Berdasarkan hasil penelitian faktor produksi yang berpengaruh terhadap produksi  usahatani Jagung di Indonesia adalah harga riil jagung tahun sebelumnya, lag produktivitas, harga riil pupuk dan harga riil pestisita.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of market orientation on product innovation in the Palm Sugar industry in Tontonunu District and Poleang uatara Regency, Bombana Regency. The sample in this study were 38 respondents in the coconut sugar industry. This study uses multiple linear regression analysis as an analysis tool.The results of this study found that Market Orientation simultaneously had a significant effect on product innovation in the Palm Sugar industry in Tontonunu District and Poleang uatara District in Bombana Regency. Partially, market orientation and customer orientation variables have a positive and significant effect on product innovation.

Abstract

This study aims to: (1) Learn how the processing of cashew products in the home industry (2) Learn what strategies are implemented to increase sales of cashew products in the home industry. This research has been conducted since January 2019. The population in this study is the whole cashew home industry. Sampling is done by "Proportional Random Sampling". The samples in this study were 4 cashew home industries from 8 respondents. Primary data collection is done through direct interviews using questionnaires. The variables to be examined are the condition of the company including the condition of the company's external and internal environment which includes strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats, as well as marketing variables such as products, prices, places promotion and distribution. Data is processed using SWOT analysis. The results of this study indicate that (1) The processing process of cashew products has 7 stages of management, while the stages are the raw material for cashew spindles, drying, skin cleavage, pruning cashew seeds, removal of the epidermis, drying (drying), packaging; (2) The home industry implements a strategy to support the diversification strategy, which means that the home industry in the contingent district is in a very good position to further develop the business, but does not demand the possibility of being alert to the existing threats. Marketing strategies that need to be applied to home industries in the Kontunaga District are to improve product quality, strengthen cooperation with the government, maintain good relations with consumers, improve the quality of human resources at the operational level, increase product promotion and distribution, market segmentation to be able to maintain and expand existing markets, creating new designs so that consumers have many choices and increasing production and marketing cooperation between similar business actors.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the development of integrated cassava agroindustry in Watondo Village, South Tongkuno District, Muna Regency. The population in this study is integrated cassava agroindustry, the selection of samples using the sense method with 23 respondents classified in 3 categories namely having cassava plantations without agroindustry business with 7 respondents, having cassava plantations and owning an agroindustry business with 11 respondents, having an agro-industry business without cassava plantation with 5 respondents. Data collection is done by interview method, questionnaire, documentation. Data analysis uses income analysis and Comparative performance index analysis. The results showed the highest average income results in the three types of businesses, having an agro-industry business without cassava plantation with income in 2017 of Rp 18,366,850, in 2018 amounting to Rp 23,081,883, CPI analysis with a value of 232,434, owning garden cassava, and having an agro-industry business with income in 2017 amounting to Rp 10,130,894, in 2018 amounting to Rp 12,036,159 CPI analysis with a value of 130,403, and for business types, having cassava plantations without agro-industry businesses with income in 2017 of Rp. 6,984,905, in 2018 amounting to 9,477,679, CPI analysis with a value of 100.

Abstract

         This study aims to determine the profile of the coconut sugar industry and the prospects for developing the coconut sugar industry. The data were processed using qualitative analysis to determine the profile of the coconut sugar industry, while to see the prospects used the SWOT analysis method. The population in this study were all coconut sugar business owners. The profiles of the coconut sugar industry are labor, raw materials, capital, length of business, and income. The amount of raw materials needed in one year is 4536. The coconut sugar industry workers use family services, namely their husbands and their children, namely 3-5 people. Coconut sugar entrepreneurs carry out their profession in  5-10 years. Meanwhile, the highest income in the coconut sugar industry was in 2018, namely IDR 5,920,000 with an average of IDR 740,000 per month. Based on the observation that the prospect of the coconut industry is good in terms of income, by using the calculation of Net Income, Gross Income, and R / C analysis, it is found that the coconut sugar business can provide more benefits for the processors and this business is good to run for the future.

Abstract

         This research aims: 1). To find out how to post-harvest management in Kabangka District. 2). To determine the effect of post-harvest handling on the quality of maize in the Kabangka District. This study uses multiple regression analysis with the help of SPSS 20 for windows. This study uses purposive with the consideration that the District of Kabangka is one of the Districts that have good prospects of corn. The number of respondents in this study was 45 people. The results of this study are 1). Workforce experience has a significant effect on water content, and levels of impurities have a very significant effect while broken grains, other colors, and broken grains have no significant effect on labor experience. Long drying does not significantly affect the moisture content and other color grains. whereas for broken grains, broken grains and impurities have no significant effect. The amount of base used has a very significant effect on water content, broken grains, and broken grains, while other color grains and impurities do not affect the amount of base used. 2). Corn quality with SNI reference can be seen in 2004 the maximum SNI water content is 14,15,17, the maximum broken item is 2,4,6,8, other color items are maximum 1,3,7 10, the maximum broken grain is 1,2,3 and maximum impurities content of 1, 2. From the five samples, two samples meet SNI standards, corn water content meets SNI standards

Abstract

This study aims to determine the manufacturing process and the financial feasibility of pile processing. This research was conducted in Kulisusu District, North Buton Regency. The population in this study were all business owners of pile processing. The determination of the sample is done by purposive (direct appointment) because the pedicab processing business actor only consists of two business units. Samples taken are as many as two business units consisting of all existing populations. The variables in this study are raw materials, supporting materials, labor and equipment. The results showed a 12%/yr NPV calculation in 1%/month. At a discount factor of 1% which is equal to Rp 14.546.944. BCR of 1,16 (>1), IRR of 5% (>1%) and return on investment by calculating PP for 9,92 months, BEP units/production of 288 packages and BEP for Rp 2.486. BEP analysis had reached the break-even point that was determined, namely 1. From the five criteria used, it was indicated that the pile processing in the Kulisusu sub-district was feasible to be developed.

Abstract

This study aims to determine patchouli oil processing and the feasibility of patchouli oil processing business in Wandoke Village, Tiworo Islands District, West Muna Regency. The analytical method used in this study is qualitative and quantitative methods, qualitative methods are used to describe patchouli oil processing, while the quantitative method is used to analyze the feasibility of the patchouli oil processing business using the Revenue Cost Ratio (R / C) formula. The results of the study showed that the patchouli oil processing process used in Wandoke Village, Tiworo Islands Subdistrict, West Muna Regency through a distillation process. Distillation used is by distillation of water and steam, in the process of distillation of water and steam through a kettle filled with water to the sieve limit and patchouli leaves on the filter then the water is boiled and produces steam which will pass through the material and flow through stainless pipes. The results of the analysis of the feasibility of the patchouli oil processing business are based on the RC rato analysis of 1.34. This shows that 1.34 R / C> 1, shows that every rupiah value spent in the production of patchouli oil will provide benefits and feasible to be developed. So it can be concluded that the processing of patchouli oil in Wandoke Village, Tiworo Islands District, West Muna Regency through and water steam distillation system, and patchouli oil processing business in Wandoke Village, Tiworo Islands Subdistrict, West Muna Regency is feasible to cultivate.

Abstract

Kegiatan PKM SPL Organik bertujuan agar kelompok siswa SMK dapat memanfaatkan pekarangan sekolah yang kurang dimanfaatkan. Target yang ingin dicapai adalah terjadinya perubahan paradigma dan prilaku dalam memanfaatkan lahan pekarangan sebagai tambahan pendapatan dan kurang gizi. Selain itu akan terciptanya peluang usaha baru karena mampu menghasilkan produk pertanian yang bergizi tinggi dan ramah lingkungan. Pelaksanaan PKM SPL Organik dilakukan dalam 3 tahap: (1) sosialisasi; (2) pemberian materi tentang motivasi berwirausaha, proses pembuatan pupuk organik, dan pembuatan pupuk organic cair; dan (3) pelatihan melalui praktek langsung. Menggunakan metode ceramah dan diskusi interaktif untuk melakukan kegiatan PKM, sedangkan pelatihan pembuatan pupuk organik, dan pembuatan pupuk organic cair dilaksanakan dengan metode demostrasi. Berdasarkan hasil kegiatan SPL Organik yang telah dilaksanakan menunjukkan: (1) pemahaman dan minat siswa-siswi SMK tentang kewirausahaan meningkat sebesar 81,5 persen; (2) pemahaman dan pengetahuan siswa SMK tentang pembuatan pupuk organic meningkat 85,5 persen, dan (3) pemahaman dan pengetahuan siswa-siswi SMK tentang pembuatan pupuk organik cair meningkat sebesar 80,5 persen. Hasil dari kegiatan PKM diharapkan dapat menambah pendapatan sekolah serta digunakan untuk konsumsi sendiri (staf, guru dan siswa). Disamping itu dapat menciptakan lingkungan sekolah yang sejuk yang asri.
