Abstract

The purpose of this research is to collect initial information to develop interactive multimedia based on Adobe Flash. The type of research used in this research is descriptive quantitative research. The method used to collect data was done through interviews with biology teachers and distributing observation questionnaires to students of class XI MIPA. In addition, the results of daily tests obtained by students are also used as data in this study. The results of the study revealed that students had difficulty in understanding the material on Cells and Cell Bioprocess, this is because this material has many submaterials and is abstract. In addition, the media used by the teacher is also not effective in overcoming the learning difficulties of students, as well as the varied learning styles of students. This makes students look less active and causes the low value of student learning outcomes or is still under the Minimum Completeness Criteria (KKM). Therefore, interactive multimedia based on Adobe Flash is needed on Cells and Cell Bioprocess materials for class XI SMA/MA.

Abstract

Biological learning requires students to carry out observations in practical activities as a form of understanding concepts. Based on observations of researchers in class XI of SMAN 3 and SMAN 7 Padang, it was found that the school had carried out practical activities well on biology learning, but students had difficulty in practicing plant tissue. Students do not find clear observations, students are less skilled in using microscopes and making plant preparations, some microscopes have moldy lenses, and the availability of valid practicum media is not available and contains photos of observations of plant tissue, so observing plant tissues what was done did not run smoothly. This research is a development research. The research subjects were 28 students, one teacher, and three lecturers. The instruments used in this study were interview guides and validity questionnaires. Based on the research conducted, products have been produced in the form of Atlas of Plant Networks for SMA / MA. Validity test results with an average value of 3.73. with very valid criteria in terms of the feasibility of content, language and readability, and presentation. So that the Atlas of the Body Network can be said to be a valid media.

Abstract

The 2013 curriculum encourages students to be more active and independent when getting information about learning materials. Therefore, teachers are required to be able to increase students' learning motivation, one of which is by developing learning media that can attract students' learning interest. The purpose of this study was to see the needs of students for learning media with ESQ nuances about bacteria as a supplement to biology teaching materials for class X science SMAN 2 Payakumbuh. This type of research is descriptive quantitative research. The method used to collect data was done through distributing questionnaires to class XII students and interviewing two teachers, namely a biology teacher and an Islamic religious education teacher. In addition, the daily test results obtained by students were also used as data in this study. The results of the study revealed that students had difficulty in understanding biology learning about bacterial material due to the difficulty of observing micro learning objects plus less supportive learning media where the images on the learning media were of very low quality and colorless. This results in a lack of student motivation in participating in the learning process. For that we need a learning media that is easy to understand and has high quality images so that it can be studied independently by students.
