Abstract

This study discusses the development of the Student  Worksheets based on Problem Based Learning on the function limit material at the Private SMA Budisatrya Medan based on valid, practical, and effective criteria. The development on this learning device uses the Thiagarajan 4-D development model, in this study the writer only up to 3-D stage, namely: definition, design,  and development. The result of the research on the development of the Student Worksheets based on Problem Based Learning  on the function limit material at the Private SMA Budisatrya Medan fulfill the valid criteria based on the result of the assessment of 5 validators by filling out an assessment questionnaire with an average score of 3,9 and being in the good category, the are practically abtained through a student response questionnaire with an average score of 4,07 and are in the good category, and are effectively obtained through student learning outcomes tests with an average score of 75% and are in the good category.

Abstract

Combinatoric ability allows the process of connecting several patterns and principles in formula discovery activities through generalizations to help students see the application of mathematics in real life. The model given can help in making broad rough estimates in developing their insights. The purpose of this study was to find out how combinatoric thinking skills are and whether combinatoric thinking skills contribute to mathematical statistics courses. This research belongs to the field of social sciences and can use this type of qualitative descriptive approach. The data were collected using a descriptive test which consisted of four items related to combinatoric problems. The data from the research results were processed using the SPSS program to get the contribution value of combinatoric thinking skills during the mid-test and final-test. with 23 students. The results of the analysis showed that the students' combinatoric thinking skills were quite good, where the mean and standard deviation were 71.27 and 6.09 during the middle exam and 72.00 and 5.88 at the time of the final exam. The problem that students have in combinatoric skills is the problem of mathematical modelling. The test results show that combinatoric thinking skills have a significant contribution to the mathematics-statistics course.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan motivasi dan minat belajar siswa yang pembelajarannya dengan menerapkan model Team Games Tournament (TGT) pada materi bangun datar kelas VII SMP. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas yang dilakukan dalam dua siklus, dimana setiap siklus terdiri dari empat tahapan yaitu: perencanaan, pelaksanaan, pengamatan, dan refleksi. Instrument yang digunakan dalam penelitain adalah lembar angket dan lembar observasi dimana dilakukan pada awal sebelum tindakan dan setelah Tindakan dilakukan. Data penelitian yang dianalisa adalah data kuantitatif dan data kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan motivasi dan minat belajar matematika siswa kelas VII SMP mengunakan model Team Games Tournament (TGT) dalam pembelajaran dengan materi bangun datar dari kategori rendah menjadi kategori tinggi atau menjadi lebih baik.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran matematika terhadap keterampilan metakognitif siswa. Populasi pada penelitian ini sebanyak 30 siswa di salah satu SMA swasta di kota Medan dengan teknik purposive sampling. Metode dalam penelitian ini eksperimen semu. Desain yang digunakan nonequivalent control group design. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan angket respon siswa pada akhir pembelajaran. Sebelum pengujian hipotesis terlebih dahulu diuji normalitas data dan uji Homogenitas. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah regresi linier ganda. Hasil Penelitian menunjukkan bahwa model pemebalajaran matematika berpengaruh positif terhadap keterampilan metakognitif, hasil ini dapat dilihat dari nilai koefisien regresi dari masing-masing bernilai positif, seperti yang terlihat pada persamaan regresi linier ganda: Y =. Model Pembelajaran Problrm based learning (PBL) terhadap Keterampilan Metakognitif dengan regresi dengan thitung = 11,385 dan tingkat signifikasi 0,000 < 0,05.  Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa model pembelajaran PBL berpengaruh secara signifikan terhadap keterampilan metakognitif siswa. Koefisien determinasinya adalah r2 = 0,400.

Abstract

This research is an experimental study with only posttest control design that aims to develop students' mathematical self-regulated learning (SRL) abilities. The population subject is VII grade private junior high school students in one of the schools in Medan. The experimental class gets learning with an exploratory approach and the control class gets conventional learning. With a total number of students 68 students of class VII junior high school consisting of 34 students in the experimental class, and 34 students in the control class. The instruments used in this study were mathematics self-regulated learning (SRL) scale, observation sheets, and questionnaire results. The results of this study indicate that an exploratory approach can improve the ability of mathematical self-regulated learning (SRL) better than using conventional approaches.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui sejauh mana keberhasilan proses belajar mengajar dalam masa pandemi covid-19. Pembelajaran yang berlangsung saat ini dilakukan secara daring (dalam jaringan) sehingga membutuhkan aplikasi pembelajaran untuk dapat mengatasi persoalan ini. Adapun aplikasi yang digunakan adalah Google Classroom dan Zoom Meeting, pemilihan aplikasi ini dikarenakan penggunaannya juga tergolong mudah untuk dapat dipelajari dan digunakan. Seperti halnya Google Classroom yang merupakan aplikasi belajar yang bersifat Learning Management System (LMS) juga merupakan aplikasi rujukan pemerintah yang digunakan dalam pembelajaran daring. Penggunaan aplikasi Zoom Meeting  bertujuan agar dosen dan mahasiswa dapat bertatap muka secara virtual agar proses transformasi belajar mengajar dapat dilakukan, aplikasi ini juga merupakan salah satu solusi dari persoalan Social Distancing dalam masa Pandemi Covid-19.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the development of the student worksheets based on valid, practical and effective realistic mathematics learning models, and to determine the improvement of students’ critical thinking skills by using student worksheets based on realistic mathematics learning models. The type of research used is Research and Development research which refers to the 4-D model as stated by Thiagarajan (1974). However, in in its implementation, this research is limited to the define, design, and develop stages. The subjects in this study were students of class X IPS-1 SMA Setia Budi Abadi Perbaungan which consisted of 31 students. This research was conducted in the odd semester of 2021/2022 academic year. The research instrument used include the student worksheet assessment sheets to measure the validity, the critical thinking skills test, and student response questionnaires.Based on the results of the trials carried out, it was concluded that the developed student worksheets have fulfilled the validity criteria with an average score of 3.93%. The developed student worksheets have fulfilled the parcticality criteria in terms of the results of the validator’s assessment and student’s responses. The developed student worksheet have fulfiiled the criteria for the effectiveness in terms of. Completeness of learning, student responses, and the use of time in the learning process. The trial was carried out in two stages where there was an increase in the percentage of learning completeness from 35.48% to 93.54% with achievement indicators from 64.77% to 79.97%; student’s responses to learning are included in the effective category with an average of 88.17%; the use of time for the learning process in accordance with the available time allocation. Thus, the developed student worksheets fulfill the valid, practical and effective criteria.

Abstract

This study aims to: 1). Determine the level of validity, the effectiveness, and practicality of student worksheets developed with the learning model problem-based learning class XI in SMK, 2). Find out increase the learning interest of the students of class XI SMK after using students' worksheets with the model of problem-based learning. The research type used is Research and Development refers to model 4-D, namely define, design, develop, and disseminate. However, in this study, the research development worksheet using problem-based learning is modified bounded only at the stage of development. Subjects in this study were students of class XI business management of SMK Budi Utomo Cikampak. Instruments of assessment used are a validity questionnaire, a test of interest in learning, and a student responses questionnaire. The results obtained that the worksheet has been developed to meet the criteria of validity with an average score of 4.2 in the valid category. Mastery learning in the classical style has been experiencing an increase in trial I (59,09%) in trial II increased by (90,90%) with the learning time does not exceed the usual learning, the student worksheet has been effective. Student Worksheet has been developed to meet the criteria of practicality review of the questionnaire responses of students to the shows that the average score 81,76% with the strong category. (2) the learning Interest of students has increased, namely with an average increase from the pretest to the posttest with a score increase of 80.5% with a high category.
