Abstract

This study aims to describe the mathematical justification strategies of 7th grade male and female students in understanding the concept of geometry (triangles). This research was conducted at one school in Donggo, Bima Regency, West Nusa Tenggara Indonesia in odd semester. This type of research is qualitative. The subjects involved in this study consisted of 20 students and 1 male and 1 female student were selected based on their mathematical abilities. The results of this study show that the justification by male and female students is different. So that it has different levels and types of justifications. Justifications made by male students are included in level 4 and the type of justification is Own explanation with a strategy that tends to be used, namely providing illustrations; 2) Identifying facts; 3) Formulate a plan; 4) Expressing facts; 5) Draw conclusions based on the opresari conducted .. Abstract

This study focuses on the use of mathematics learning media in improving the students' defense and interest in learning pythagoras theorem. Research subjects taken in one school in Bima City West Nusa Tenggara Indonesia. Research sample were taken randomly/ randomly to follow the learning by using manipulative media. Learning media designed in the study there are two, namely ICT and Non ICT media. ICT media contains about instructional materials, quiz, video and educative games, while in non ICT media bearing on the proof of pythagoras theorem. The results of this study indicate that the use of learning media can improve students' understanding and interest in learning mathematics, it is shown by an increase in the average result of questionnaire interest in learning mathematics students from before the process of learning using media that is equal to 60.27 with after using media-based ie amounted to 87.07. In addition, the results of this study indicate that there is influence of the use of learning media to improve students' understanding on learning pythagoras theorem.

Abstract

Riset ini hanya bertujuan untuk mengimplementasikan  penggunaan media e-learning schoology dan edmodo untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar Mahasiswa PGSD pada materi matematika dasar. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif deskriptif. Subjek dalam penelitian tediri dari 40 Mahasiswa PGSD yang mengikuti Matakuliah Matematika Dasar pada smester 1. Teknik pengumpulan data dengan menggunakan instrument tes dan observasi. Pada penelitian ini mahasiswa terlebih dahulu diberikan tes awal, kemudian diberikan perlakukan dan selanjutnya dilakukan tes akhir.  Riset ini telah membuktikan   bahwa media e-learning schoology dan e-learning edmodo sangat mempengaruhi mahasiswa dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar mereka. Dengan menggunakan media e-learning schoology dan edmodo, mahasiswa dapat mengakses materi yang diberikan dosen secara gratis.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the contribution of using the Jarimatika method to improve students' numerical abilities. This research is an experimental quantitative research with a Quasi Experiment Design research design or quasi-research. This research was conducted in a school in Bima Regency, West Nusa Tenggara, Indonesia. The sample in the study consisted of 35 students who were all taken from the total population. Instruments in the study using multiple choice tests and essays. The data analysis technique used simple linear regression and t test. The results of this study indicate that the Paired-Sample T-test value is -12.887 and ttable is -1.753 with a significance level of 5%, so -26.88> -1.753 or -26.88 < - 1.753) which means that there can be a contribution using the Jarimatika method to improve students' numerical ability, with a large contribution of the Jarimatika method of 66.6%.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the level of students' statistical reasoning. This research was conducted in one of the schools in Donggo District, Bima Regency, NTB Indonesia by taking a sample of 2 students, namely 1 male student and 1 female student. This research is a descriptive qualitative research. Data collection techniques in this study were observation and interviews, while the instruments used were tests and interviews. The test consists of two, namely a test to determine students' mathematical abilities and a test to determine students' reasoning abilities. The results of this study indicate that the level of statistical reasoning of male students is included in the level 5 category because they have done all stages of statistical reasoning correctly, while female students are included in the level 4 category, because female students are not capable of representing the data stage.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the use of Inquiry and Discovery learning models in improving students' mathematical representation abilities. This research is a quantitative experimental research. The population in this study, namely class X at one of the high schools in Bima Regency in the 2021/2022 school year. The research sample is class X IPA 1 who gets the Inquiry learning model (experiment 1) as many as 30 students, and class X IPA 2 who gets the Discoveri learning model (experiment 2) with as many as 30 students. The data collection techniques in this study were using observation, interviews and tests, while the research instrument used a test instrument. The data analysis technique in this study used the Normality Test, Homogeneity, N-Gain Test, t-test. The research results are: 1) Inquiry and discovery learning models can improve students' mathematical representation abilities; 2) The use of the discovery learning model is better than the inquiry learning model in improving students' mathematical representation abilities.

Abstract

Representational ability is a very important ability in learning mathematics, with representational ability students can solve mathematical problems. This study aims to compare the two Inquiry and Discovery learning models in overcoming students' representation abilities. This research was conducted at a school in NTB Province, Bima Regency with a total of 60 students with a sample of 30 participants from Science 1 and 30 participants from Science 2. Data collection techniques used observation and interviews. While the instrument uses a test. Data analysis techniques used Prerequisite test (Normality and Homogeneity) and Hypothesis Test (N_Gain, t test). In terms of this research, it shows that during representation learning, these two models really help students to understand the use of mathematical representations.
