Abstract

The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative methods and techniques in this study reflect the reality on the facts (fact findings) that is in the field as it is. This research examines how the shape and characteristics of adjectives in BDNg. Thus, the researchers sought to describe objectively and accurately in accordance with the aspects of adjectives BDNg current conditions. In practice, this is done through two methods of data collection techniques, namely by using interview and documentation techniques. The findings of this research, that adjective BDNg can be marked by characteristic, namely (1) there is a possibility to join the particle beken 'not' and dia 'no' (2) can accompany a noun, or (3) may be accompanied by words labih 'more' , pangka 'most', tutu 'very', and labien 'very'. Meanwhile, based on variations in shape, adjectives can be distinguished BDNg its kind on the basis adjectives and adjectival derivative. Basic adjectives are adjectives that only consist of a single morpheme. Meanwhile, the derivative adjective derivative form BDNghave formed through the process of moving on word class and morphological processes, namely affixation, reduplication and compounding. Based their category, there is only one category of adjectives of adjectives BDNg, the adjectives predicative (adjectives that could occupy the position of the predicate in the clause). Furthermore, in its formation, adjectives BDNg formed through some process of affixation, reduplication and compounding.

Abstract

This study aims to examine how the type, category, and morphologic processes noun Ngaju Dayak language (BDNg). The method used in this research is descriptivequalitative method because the method of this study reflect the reality on the factfindings that is in the field as it is. Thus, the researchers tried to describe objectivelyand precisely the aspects nouns of BDNg in accordance with the conditions of thecurrent BDNg. Data collection is done through two techniques, ie, interviewtechniques and documentation. The findings of this study, that is syntactically, noun ofBDNg can be characterized by traits (a) does not have the potential to join the famousparticle beken 'not', (b) have the potential to be preceded by coal particles bara 'of',(c ) shall be preceded by an adverb degree somewhat (labih 'more' and tutu 'very'),and (e) may be preceded by the adverb that states the amount, as kapucuk ‘one pointand kabatang 'one a'. Based on its shape, noun of BDNg can be distinguished on thebasis nouns and nouns derived. Based on semantic aspects, BDNg noun categoriesdifferentiated into animate and inanimate nouns. Meanwhile, if viewed from the aspectof the process of forming a noun, noun BDNg can be divided into four processes,namely (a) affixation, (b) reduplication, and (c) compounding. Noun formationprocess via affixation BDNg is quite productive and allows formed on the combinationof affixes.

Abstract

This paper examines vowel, consonants, and syllables series in the Batak Toba (BT) language that aims to establish the structure of BT language phonotactics. Methods and techniques applied in this research is qualitative descriptive methods in order to reflect the fact the Batak Toba language phonotactics based on the facts that exist in the field as they are. The findings of the study show that there are the 21 series in BT vocals, in the beginning, in the middle, and in the end of the word whichhave their own part of speech such as verbs, nouns, adjectives, pronouns, and adverbs. In other side, there are 52 consonants in consonant series of BT Language.

Abstract

                                                                 AbstrakMetode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif kualitatif karena metode dan teknik penelitian ini mencerminkan kenyataan berdasarkan fakta-fakta (fact findings) yang ada di lapangan sebagaimana adanya. Masalah yang dituntaskan dalam penelitian ini adalah masalah masalah yang berkaitan dengan sistem sintaksis bahasa Siang. Dengan demikian, penelitian ini secara umum bertujuan mengumpulkan data, menganalisis, dan mendeskripsikan secara mendalamdan terperinci mengenai sistem sintaksis bahasa Siang. Adapun hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa konstituen kalimat dalam bahasa Siang meliputi konstituen inti dan konstituen pinggiran. Urutan konstituen yang lazim adalah subjek-predikat-objek atau hanya subjek dan predikat. Berdasarkan ciri modalnya, ciri, tipe, dan pola kalimat dalam bahasa Siang meliputi kalimat deklaratif, imperatif, dan interogatif. Berdasarkan ciri predikatnya kalimat dalam bahasa Siang meliputi 1) kalimat aktif yang terdiri atas kalimat aktif transitif, aktif bitransitif, aktif intransitif berpelengkap,dan kalimat intransitif, 2) kalimat statif terdiri atas kalimat statif ejuatif, lokatif, deskriptif, eksistensional, dan posesif. Ciri, tipe dan pola kalimat bahasa Siang berdasarkan diatesisnya meliputi kalimat dengan diatesis aktif dan diatesis pasif.Kata kunci: kualitatif, deskriptif, sintaksis, konstituen                                                               AbstractThe method used in this research is descriptive qualitative because the method and technique of this research are fact findings. It is an in-depth study aiming to collect, analyze, and describe the data about the syntax system of Siang language. The results of this study indicate that the constituents of sentences in Siang languageinclude core and peripheral constituencies. The common constituent sequence is subject-predicate-object or subject-predicate. Based on the modals, characteristics, types, and patterns of sentences in Siang language consist of declarative, imperative and interrogative sentences. Based on the characteristics of the predicate, sentences in Siang language are composed of 1) active sentences containing active transitive, active bitransitive, active intransitive transitive and intransitive sentences, 2) stative sentences containing ejuatif stative, locative, descriptive, existensional, and possessive sentences. Characteristics, types, and patterns of Siang language sentences involve active and passive diathesis.Keywords: qualitative, descriptive, syntactic, constituent)
