Abstract

Covid-19 pandemic had a massive impact to all aspects in society, including university students. Challenge of online study and family’s economic pressure forced them to turn this situation into strategy to survive amid several limitations. This strategy known as grit. Grit is a psychological contruct which first introduced by Duckworth (2007). Its definition is expanding through the years, but it keeps referring to its initial definition as perseverance and willingness to achieve long-term goals. Grit scale consist of 16 items with two main aspects, consistency in interest and perseverance in action. Purpose of this study was to analyze which factors in grit which mostly impact to survival strategy in students. This research involved 318 university students using purposive sampling method. Data which have been collected was categorized into five main factors which relate to students’s survival strategy consist of consitency, efforts to maintain goals, encounter challenges, executing task and hardwork. Final result using factor analysis with the help of SPSS 25.0 program, showed that those factor reduce into two main factor consist of goal clarity and persistency.

Abstract

Teknologi berpotensi menimbulkan efek sosial yang negative pada remaja, seperti kebutuhan akan pengakuan yang semakin tinggi, menurunnya kualitas interaksi langsung dengan sekitar hingga potensi resiko mengalami depresi. Dengan perkembangan teknologi yang semakin luas, teknologi akan membuka peluang bagi remaja untuk mengungkapkan diri melalui berbagai media. Alasan untuk berbagi informasi diri lebih banyak bertujuan sebagai bentuk ekspresi diri secara bebas daripada untuk memperoleh informasi atau sebagai kontrol sosial. Secara normal, remaja masih dipengaruhi oleh hubungan keluarga melaui pola asuh orang tua terkait dengan akses remaja terhadap teknologi. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk meneliti pengaruh pola asuh permisif terhadap interaksi sosial yang dimoderasi oleh self-disclosure. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif purposive sampling dengan analisis data korelasi Pearson dan analisis regresi. Metode pengumpulan data dengan menggunakan tiga skala yaitu skala pola asuh permisif, skala interaksi sosial dan skala self-disclosure dengan melibatkan 153 subjek. Hasil empiris menunjukan bahwa pola asuh permisif memberikan sumbangan efektif terhadap interaksi sosial yang dimoderasi oleh self-disclosure sebesar 57.7% (p<0.001). Ketika self-disclosure dikeluarkan dari analisis, terjadi penurunan sumbangan efektif menjadi 56% (p<0.001). Self-disclosure secara langsung berkontribusi sebesar 21& (p<0.001) terhadap interaksi sosial. Pola asuh permisif dan self-discloure memiliki hubungan negatif yang signifikan terhadap interaksi sosial sebesar -0.752 dan -0.470 (p<0.001), sedangkan pola asuh permisif memiliki hubungan positif yang signifikan terhadap self-disclosure sebesar 0.462 (p<0.001). Dinamika hubungan antar variabel telah didiskusikan lebih lanjut. Kata kunci: Pola Asuh Permisif, Self-Disclosure, Interaksi Sosial, Generasi Z

Abstract

This research purpose is to empirically analyze how grit is connected with ta’awun behavior. This research used the grounded theory approach. Data collection methods through in-depth interviews, observation, and focus group discussions. Data integration utilized the triangulation method through three main stages, consist of open, axial, and selective coding. Respondents consisted of four young volunteers with specific criteria such as act as active volunteers at Muhammadiyah Disaster Management Centre (MDMC), students of Muhammadiyah Lampung University, and had practical experience in the disaster area. The results showed that there were five main themes in the behavior of Muhammadiyah's young volunteer ta'awun: (1) attention to others; (2) helping others; (3) considerate others; (4) positive achievement; dan (5) positive consequences. Grit character in the behavior of young Muhammadiyah volunteers involves as a rover to success system in aligning young volunteers to give added value to the utmost usefulness in the process of assisting survivors. Abstract

Pemakaian internet tidak lagi menjadi suatu komoditas yang langka. Sebaliknya, yang tidak menggunakan internet akan jauh tertinggal dan tidak akan mampu beradaptasi dengan perubahan yang cepat. Disisi lain, penggunaan internet secara berlebihan akan menimbulkan masalah yang lebih besar seperti kecanduan. Generasi yang paling terdampak perkembangan teknologi informasi yang pesat adalah generasi Z. Generasi Z lahir tahun 1995-2009 sehingga masuk ke dalam kategori remaja awal sampai dengan akhir di tahun 2020. Adiksi terhadap internet dapat memberikan dampak negatif berupa masalah psikologis maupun sosial pada diri remaja. Contoh masalah tersebut antara lain rasa kesepian, depresi hingga penurunan prestasi belajar. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat pengaruh self-compassion dan grit terhadap adiksi internet pada generasi Z. Metode penelitian kuantitatif dengan skala jenis likert akan digunakan. Subjek penelitian melibatkan 318 individu yang termasuk dalam usia generasi Z dengan teknik purposive sampling. Hasil akhir menunjukan bahwa self-compassion dan grit berpengaruh secara signifikan (p<0.01) terhadap adiksi internet generasi Z sebesar 20.8%. Secara terpisah, grit berpengaruh terhadap adiksi internet sebesar 17% sedangkan self-compassion berpengaruh terhadap adiksi internet sebesar 18%. Penjelasan mengenai dinamika hubungan diantara ketiga variabel dijelaskan dalam pembahasan.

Abstract

Achieving long-term goals is the main focus of every company as a manifestationof a firm sustainability. Employees as the backbone of the company need positive behavior and a strong desire to achieve this long-term goal. This positive character with long-term assurance is called grit. The current problem is the high level of turnover of company employees which is one indicator of the lack of attachment of employees in achieving the company's long-term goals. Grit is predicted to be able to support the achievement of the company's long-term goals and empirically able to reduce turnover rates. The purpose of this study is to test empirically whether there are significant differences in grit behavior based on employee demographics in one of FMCG company in Bandar Lampung. This study uses a mixed method with a scale for quantitative data and open questions for qualitative data. The total subjects involved in this study were 115 employees. Data were analyzed using SPSS 24.0 program. The results showed that there were no significant differences in employee grit behavior in terms of age, sex, work period and education. The results of qualitative data analysis through data transformation found several possible main factors in working, such as good teamwork, assurance of occupational safety and health, adequate work facilities, a fair recognition system, a work environment that facilitates self-development, communication and good relations subordinate supervisors and consistent application of company regulations.

Abstract

TPQ sebagai lembaga pembelajaran Al-Quran harus memiliki metode pembelajaran yang terstandar melalui kurikulum sehingga evaluasi pembelajaran dapat dilakukan secara optimal. Masalah saat ini yang dihadapi TPQ Safaril ‘Ulum yaitu belum memiliki kurikulum yang terstandar sehingga proses belajar hanya difokuskan pada aktivitas rutin tanpa metode pembelajaran yang dapat dinilai efektivitasnya. Tujuan kegiatan untuk memberikan pendampingan dalam pembuatan kurikulum berdasarkan metode multi-sensori yang telah terbukti mampu berpengaruh terhadap kemampuan menghafal siswa. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan terdiri dari focus group discussion, observasi dan demostrasi hasil atau sosialisasi. Proses kegiatan dibagi menjadi tiga tahapan yaitu tahap persiapan untuk memetaan kondisi awal TPQ, tahap kedua sebagai proses FGD dalam pembuatan kurikulum dan tahap ketiga yaitu sosialisasi kurikulum. Dengan kurikulum berlandaskan metode multi-sensori, tenaga pendidik memiliki panduan sekaligus mampu menerapkan metode pembelajaran yang baru bagi peserta didik. Selain itu, kegiatan ini dapat menghasilkan siswa didik yang tidak hanya cepat dalam proses menghafal Al-Quran, namun menempatkan standar yang sama bagi seluruh siswa didik dengan kurikulum yang terstandar.

Abstract

Abstract Parents with down syndrome children often experience difficulties with self-acceptance of their child’s special needs. Parents cover up the child’s condition from society, alienate the child from social activities, do not facilitate with required therapy, and eventually impact general parenting given. Parents who moved by child need to open up to join a community with other parents with down syndrome children as a necessity for social support. Internally, parents who can accept the weaknesses and strengths of their children are one the characteristics of self-compassion. This study aims to analyze the impact of self-compassion and community social support on parents’ self-acceptance. Using quantitative research methods with Likert scales consists of all instruments (self-compassion, community social support, and self-acceptance scale). They are analyzed with multiple regression techniques and purposive sampling with 50 respondents involved. The results showed that self-compassion and community social support contribute to the self-acceptance of parents with down syndrome children by 52.8 % (p<0.01). Separately, community social support had a 39.9% impact, while self-compassion had a 43.9% impact on the self-acceptance of parents with down syndrome children. Abstract

Rapid development of technology and challenges in upcoming industrial revolution 4.0 require students to equip themselves with relevant competencies. The success of students as prospective workers will depend on this. Initial stage for students is to have clarity on the direction of career preparation. Adequate career preparation, including the accuracy of career decision making is synchronized between their potential versus what is desired (Sharf, 2002). Internal factorof students’ success in choosing a future career is by having strong characters. Character with perseverance and great desire to achieve long-term goals in a long time is known as grit ((Duckworth, Peterson, Matthews & Kelly, 2007). This study aims to identify the influence of grit and gender on career decision making among Psychology faculty’s students in UniversitasMuhammadiyah Lampung. The research involved 83 students from 4 classes and using quantitative research method using a scale as a data collection tool. Results of empirical research prove that grit and gender are proven to significantly influence students' career decision making. Grit correlate to career decision making with pearson-correlation score 0.519 (p <0.001) and gender correlate to career decision making with pearson-correlation score 0.277 (p <0.005). Simultaneously,  grit and gender make 28% (p<0.000) effective contribution to student’s career decision making. Further research is expected to be able to examine the interventions that can be done to improve the ability of taking career decisions for students.

Abstract

Indonesian education has several critical issues relate to education access such as commercial accreditation system in university and education becomes business opportunity (Ramly, 2010). Unfortunately, not all prospective students were born in supported financial condition to fund the university educational needs. One alternative is to look for scholarship opportunities provide by third parties or the government. This scholarship has certain demands for scholarship grantees that often creates pressure which takes a sense of gratitude. Emmons & McCullough (2004) states that factors affecting gratitude include self-compassion, positive affect and grit. The research purpose was to empirically analyze the effect of self-compassion, positive affect and grit on gratitude of Bidikmisi scholarship grantee. The research used quantitative methods with multiple regression analysis techniques with the SPSS 25.0 program. The research instruments use Likert scale model. Results showed that there was a significant positive influence between the independent variables and the dependent variable with total 39.2 % influence. Correlation analysis between its variables explained in the discussion.

Abstract

Proses penyesuaian terhadap perubahan ekonomi global menimbulkan berbagai gejala permaslahan pada PT. XYZ, diantaranya tidak puasnya konsumen terhadap kualitas unit yang dihasilkan, munculnya keluhan karyawan terkait dengan pekerjaan tambahan yang tanggung jawab jabatannya, hal ini menyebabkan karyawan terbebani dan muncul tidak puasan dari karyawan. Permasalahan yang terjadi pada akhirnya berdampak pada tidak tercapainya tujuan perusahaan seperti pemenuhan kepuasan pelanggan dan penurunan profit perusahaan. Tujuan penelitian untuk mendeteksi dan mengidentifikasi permasalahan yang terjadi pada PT. XYZ serta mengimplementasikan solusi. Metode penelitian melalui teknik open system dengan menggunakan metode kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan tidak adanya kamus kompetensi pada PT. XYZ mengakibatkan pengaruh signifikan terhadap belum optimalnya pengelolaan sumber daya manusia. PT. XYZ ini belum memiliki kamus kompetensi yang dapat digunakan sebagai acuan untuk menggerakan setiap tugas dan tanggung jawab yang ada di perusahaan. Hasil Evaluasi implementasi penyusunan role competency yang dilakukan evaluator PT.XYZ menilai bahwa panduan, hasil role competency dan alat ukur kompetensi telah sesuai dengan kebutuhan organisasi PT. XYZ
