Abstract

Nile Tilapia or Tilapia Fish (Oreochromis niloticus) is one of commodity with a high number of consumers. But, Streptococcus agalactiae attack caused a decline in production. One way to reduce these diseases by using natural materials of songga wood (Strychnos lucida R.Br) where the songga wood contains many compounds like alkaloid, phenols, flavonoids, triterpenoids, which can inhibit bacterial growth by damaged cell membrane. The results showed that the inhibitory songga wood extract against Streptococcus agalactiae was highly significant, and shows with the highest survival rate of 90% and proved by the increasing antibody titers after adding songga wood extract.Keywords: Bacterial disease, Fish immune, Phytopharmacy, Tilapia

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the financial feasibility and formulating business development strategies enlargement of White shrimp at Dukuhtunggal Village Sub district Glagah Lamongan. The research using survey method. The sampling method used snowball sampling by the number of respondents as many as 18 people. The result showed that the business of enlarging white shrimp enlargement enterprise development deserves to be implemented and developed, because of the results of the assessment in accordance with the investment criteria Net Present Value (NPV) reached Rp 283.927.334, Net Benefit Cost Ratio (Net/B/C) by 28, Internal Rate of Return (IRR) reached 645.5%, the value of payback period  of 0.37 or three months of seven days and the Profitability index (PI) of 1.53. Business development strategy is known through proceeds from the matrix IFE and EFE with a total score of 3.341 and 3.272. Matrix IE shows the position of the company located on the cell to one which means grow and build so that the appropriate strategy to be applied is the intensive strategy i.e., market penetration, market development, product development and integration strategies. The formulation of the strategy produces eight alternative development strategies i.e., an increase in production capacity, strengthening the institutional role, leveraging capital access, empowerment of farmers, increase the use of quality seeds, weaves cooperation with suppliers, maintaining the condition of the infrastructure, and improve the implementation and monitoring of standard operational procedures. Keywords: Litopenaeus vannamei, feasibility, strategy enlargement

Abstract

One of the problems of intensive cultivation of tilapia is the attack of Streptococcosis disease caused by Streptococcus agalactiae bacteria. To prevent it is necessary to prevent the use of natural antibiotics that is Strychnine bush extract. The method used in this research is the experimental method using Completely Randomized Design (RAL), then the data is analyzed by using ANAVA. In this research, there were five treatments with various dosages, namely treatment (K: 0%), (A: 5%), (B: 10%), (C: 15%) and (D: 20%), each treatment was repeated four times. The main parameters used are hematocrit level, leukocrit level, leukocyte count and phagocytosis activity. As a supporting parameter is water quality and MIC (Minimum Inhibitation Concentration) test. The results showed that dosage of Strychnine bush extract did not affect the level of hematocrit and leukocrit level, but significant effect on leukocyte count with the highest value at treatment B with 10% dose is 11,9 × 105 cell / mm3. Giving extract also significant effect on phagocytosis activity with the highest phagocytosis value at treatment B with dose of 10% that is 32%.Keywords: Imune system, Streptococcosis, antibiotics, Minimum Inhibitation Concentration

Abstract

One of the problemsofintensive catfish culture is the attack of Motile Aeromonas Septicemia disease caused by Aeromonas hydrophila bacteria. To prevent it is necessary to prevent the use of natural antibiotics that is strychnine bush extract. The purpose of this research is to know the ability of strychnine bush extract (Strychnos ligustrina Blume) using methanol solvent in inhibiting the growth of Aeromonas hydrophila bacteria and its effect on prevalence and survival rate in Dumbo catfish (Clarias gariepinus). The method used in this research is the exsperimen method by using complete randomized design (RAL). In this study there were five treatments with different doses of treatment (P1: 6%), (P2: 12%), (P3: 18%), (P4: 24%) and (P5: 30%), each treatment was repeated three replications. Furthermore, the data were analyzed using ANAVA and continued with LSD test. The results showed that the giving of strychnine bush extract with different concentrations had a very significant effect on the width of the Aeromonas hydrophila bacterial resistance zone. The lowest inhibition of the treatment (P1: 6%) with a resistance of 1.79 mm. While the highest inhibition of treatment (P5: 30%) with 8.29 mm inhibition power. In prevalenceofdumbo catfish with givingofsongga extract very real effect, treatment with lowest prevalence is treatment (P4: 24%) with prevalence value 23,3% andhighestpervalence that is treatment (P5: 30%) with prevalence value equal to 40 %. In the synthesisofdumbo catfish with the giving of strychnine bush extract have a very real effect, the treatment with lowest stability is treatment (P4: 30%) with 77% syntax value and the highest synthesis of treatment (P5: 24%) with 90% syntax value. This study resulted in the conclusion that the best treatment for prevalence and survival rate is treatment (P4: 24%). As for the higher inhibition power dose strychnine bushextractis used then the higher the power inhibition.

Abstract

One of the freshwater fishes that began to be developed is Wader fish, but there is still a lot of information that has not been supported on fish farming techniques. One of them is the optimal stocking density for cultivation. The purpose of this study was to study the effects of different stocking densities on the growth and survival rates of the Wader Cakul fish (Puntius binotatus). This research was conducted in May - July 2018. The method used in this study was to use a Completely Randomized Design with 4 training, namely P1 (2 fish/liter), P2 (3 fish/liter), P3 (4 fish/liter) and P4 (5 fish/liter). Each treatment was repeated 3 times. The main parameters were absolute growth rate (length and weight gain)(GR), specific growth rate (SGR), survival rate (SR), and feed conversion ratio (FCR). Data were analyzed using ANOVA (analysis of variance) and continued with the Least Significant Difference Test. The results showed that different stocking densities gave significant values (P <0.05) for GR, SGR, SR and FCR comparisons. The best treatment in this study was P1 with a growth value of 0.31 ± 0.01 gram, SGR 3.50 ± 0.03%, Long Growth 1.97 ± 0.05 cm, SR 85.07 ± 2.17% and FCR 1.47 ± 0.02. P1 (2 fish/liter) is the best maintenance to increase the growth, survival rate, and feed efficiency of the cakul wader fish.Keywords: Wader cakul, Puntius binotatus, Growth rate, Survival rate, Feed Conversion Ratio

Abstract

The tempe industry activity in Sanan Village, Purwantoro Village, Blimbing District, Malang City creates an unpleasant odor that disturbs residents around the industry. Generally, tempe producers dispose of liquid waste from tempe production activities directly into rivers. Therefore, this activity aimed to make the community more aware of the correct management of tempe liquid waste. Making organic fertilizer from tempe liquid waste (TLW) for hydroponic technology was the primary goal of this program. Organic waste is fermented with EM4 in TLW media. Other than that, our program supports implementing urban farming in the city center to produce individual food. It is hoped that, in the future, all communities in Sanan Village can produce independent food by utilizing organic fertilizer from fermented tempeh liquid waste. The result of this program was the increase in people’s knowledge about the manufacture and setting of organic and hydroponic fertilizers. Second, the residents of Sanan Village have applied fertilizer for their hydroponics. Assistance is carried out periodically to Youth Organizations in Sanan Village, Purwantoro Village, Blimbing District, Malang City on September 9 - 20 December 2020.

Abstract

Permintaan pasar yang tinggi pada ikan manfish sangat sulit terpenuhi dikarenakan pertumbuhan ikan manfish yang lambat. Solusi untuk memperbaiki pertumbuhan ikan manfish yaitu mengetahui padat tebar yang baik untuk ikan manfish serta ditambah penerapan teknologi resirkulasi yang di harapkan pertumbuhan ikan menjadi lebih cepat. Berdasarkan permasalahan itu maka dilakukannya penelitian ini untuk melihat respon ikan terhadap pertumbuhan. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode Rancangan Acak Lengkap. Penelitian ini menggunakan 4 perlakuan (P1 (3 ekor/L dengan 25 liter air yaitu 75 ekor/wadah), P2 (6 ekor/L dengan 25 liter air yaitu 150 ekor/wadah), P3 (9 ekor/L dengan 25 liter air yaitu 225 ekor/wadah), dan P4 (12 ekor/L dengan 25 liter air yaitu 300 ekor/wadah) yang masing-masing perlakuan diulang sebanyak 3 kali ulangan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai rerata SGR (specific growth rate) yang terbaik adalah pada pelakuan P1 dengan pelakuan 3 ekor/L dengan air 25 liter yaitu 75 ekor/wadah, dengan rerata SGR sebesar 5,12 %. Laju pertumbuhan panjang yang terbaik adalah pada pelakuan P1 dengan pelakuan 3 ekor/L dengan air 25 liter yaitu 75 ekor/wadah, dengan rerata laju pertumbuhan panjang sebesar 1,40 %. Kelangsungan hidup (survival rate) terbesar adalah pada perlakuan P1 dengan pelakuan 3 ekor/L dengan air 25 liter yaitu 75 ekor/wadah, dengan rerata kelangsungan hidup (survival rate) sebesar 86,22%. Secara statistik pada penelitian ini mendapatkan hasil berpengaruh nyata terdapat pertumbuhan dan kelulusan hidup.Kata kunci: ikan manfish; resirkulasi; petumbuhan; kelulusan hidup High market demand for manfish is challenging to fulfill due to the slow growth of manfish. The solution to improve the growth of manfish is knowing good stocking density for manfish and adding the application of recirculation technology, which is expected to accelerate fish growth. Based on these problems, this study was conducted to see the response of fish to growth. The method used in this study is a completely randomized design method. In this study, we were using four treatments (P0 (3 fish/L with 25 liters of water is 75 fish/aquarium), P1 (6 fish/L with 25 liters of water is 150 fish/aquarium), P2 (9 fish /L with 25 liters water which is 225 fish/aquarium), and P3 (12 fish/L) with 25 liters of water, i.e., 300 fish/aquarium), each of which is repeated three times. The results show that the best SGR (specific growth rate) was in the treatment P1 with the treatment of 3 fish/L with 25 liters of water, which is 75 fish/aquarium, with a mean SGR 5.12%. The best high growth rate was at P1 treatment with three fish/L treatment with 25 liters of water, which is 75 fish/aquarium, with a high growth rate 1.40%. The most significant survival rate was in treatment P1 with the treatment of 3 fish/L with 25 liters of water, which is 75 fish/aquarium, with a mean survival rate amounting 86.22%, statistically in this study getting influential results or there were growth and survival rate.Keywords: manfish; recirculation; growth; survival rate

Abstract

AbstrakIkan gurami merupakan ikan yang memiliki tingkat minat konsumsi tinggi, namun pertumbuhannya lambat. Upaya peningkatan produksi gurami (Osphronemus gouramy) dapat dilakukan dengan cara pemuasaan. Pemuasaan berarti pemberian pakan dengan selang waktu yang ditentukan dengan harapan ikan dapat mengalami peningkatan nafsu makan setelah dipuasakan. Peningkatan konsumsi pakan setelah dipuasakan disebut hiperfagia, yakni kondisi dimana nafsu makan ikan meningkat selama beberapa waktu 2-3 hari setelah ikan dipuasakan pada periode tertentu dan akan kembali ke keadaan normal. Selama dalam keadaan hiperfagia dapat memberikan pasokan nutrisi yang cukup untuk memenuhi kebutuhan metabolisme setelah ikan dipuasakan sehingga dapat meningkatkan pertumbuhan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mempercepat pertumbuhan dengan menghemat pakan. Penelitian dilakukan skala laboratorium menggunakan metode eksperimen. Setiap akuarium berisi ikan gurami 10 ekor dengan panjang sekitar 8-10 cm. Perlakuan berjumlah 4 dengan ulangan 5 kali. Data SGRw (spesific growth rate weight), SGRl (spesific growth rate length) dan PER (protein efficiency ratio) diambil 10 hari sekali kemudian dilakukan uji analisis anova dan uji homogenitas. Hasil penelitian SGRw menunjukan hasil yang tidak berpengaruh namun P3 (makan 3 hari puasa 1 hari) mendekati kontrol sebesar 4.42±0.75% dan SGRl menunjukan hasil yang sama sedangkan PER menunjukan hasil yang tidak berbeda nyata dengan nilai P3 mendekati P4 sebesar 19.84±5.42%. Pemuasaan pada ikan gurami dengan interval waktu berbeda tidak berpengaruh terhadap pertumbuhan dan rasio efisiensi protein.Kata kunci: ikan gurami; pemuasaan; pertumbuhan; protein; hiperfagiaAbstractGourami is a fish that has a high level of consumption, but it growth is slow. Efforts to increase the production of gurami (Osphronemus gouramy) can be done by fasting. Fasting means feeding with a specified time interval in the hope that fish can experience an increase in appetite after fasting. Increased feed consumption after fasting is called hyperphagia, a condition in which fish appetite increases for a period of 2-3 days after the fish is fasted for a certain period and will return to its normal state. During the state of hyperphagia can provide a sufficient supply of nutrients to meet metabolic needs after the fish is fasted to increase growth. This study aims to accelerate growth by saving feed. The study was conducted on a laboratory scale using experimental methods. Each aquarium contains 10 fish of gourami with a length of about 8-10 cm. The treatment amounted to 4 with replications 5 times. SGRw data (specific growth rate weight), SGRl (specific growth rate length) and PER (protein efficiency ratio) were taken once every 10 days and then performed ANOVA analysis test. The results of the SGRw study showed no effect but P3 approached the control of 4.42 ± 0.75% and SGRl showed the same results while PER showed results that were not significantly different from the P3 value approaching P4 of 19.84 ± 5.42%. Fasting in gourami with different time intervals does not affect growth and protein efficiency ratio.Keywords: gourami; fasting; growth, protein; hyperphagia

Abstract

Nga champora is one of the plants than can be antibacterial agent to treat Motile Aeromonas Septicemia (MAS) disease. Nga champora contain more than a hundred active compounds, but most of what is done for research is about flavonoids, alkaloids, steroids, tannin, glicosides and atsiri, which have bioactivity effects both in vivo and in vitro. The purpose of this study is to determine the effectiveness of MAS disease treatment using nga champora. The experimental method was used in this research using with five treatments, thai is: A (500 ppm), B (600 ppm), C (700 ppm), and Kontrol treatment. The results showed that the higher has the higher resistance to A. hydrophillawith a value of 5.7 mm (500 ppm) to 8.3 mm (700 ppm), and a life speed of up to 60% (700 ppm). Abstract

Pappaya leaf (Carica papaya L) contains antifungal and antibacterial compounds which can be applied to prevent transmission of Saprolegnia sp infections that attack carp eggs (Cyprinus carpio). The method in this study used several treatments, namely treatment A (control), B (papaya leaf extract 0.75 mg / l), C (papaya leaf extract 1 mg / l), D (papaya leaf extract 1.25 mg / l) and treatment of E (papaya leaf extract 1.5 mg / l). The results showed that there were significantly different treatments for the addition of papaya leaf extract to the hatching rate of carp punten eggs, with treatment C (1 mg / l) being the best treatment in increasing the hatching rate of 89.5%. Furthermore, the addition of papaya leaf extract to the prevalence of Saprolegnia sp fungi showed that treatment C (1 mg / l) was the best treatment in suppressing the prevalence of saprolegnia sp fungi with a prevalence rate of only 10.5%. Then the addition of papaya leaf extract to the goldfish survival rate showed a significant difference between treatments, with treatment C (1 mg / l) being the best treatment in increasing the value of Punten Carp survival arte with a survival rate of 94.68%. Therefore from this study it can be seen that the safe dose in the use of papaya leaf extract is to use a dose of 1 mg / l to suppress the prevalence of saprolegnia sp fungi and increase the hatching rate and increase the survival rate of the Punten Goldfish. Keyword: Saprolegnia sp, Papaya Leaves, Punten Carp
