Abstract

Getting a job has been more difficult nowadays due to the scarcity of job opportunities. The number of available manpower is much higher than the job vacancies. The incompatibility of expertise and difficulties to meet company’s requirement with suitable job seeker also increase the unemployment rate. This program is performed to stimulate young people to think creative innovative and eventually encourage them to start their own business as solution to the problem. The method used is explanation, experiences sharing, question and answer, discussion, and business plan presentation. Based on these activities, not only participants’ knowledge about entrepreneurship increases, but also their ability to create a product or business systematically is trained. Furthermore, capital issue is solved by providing alternatives of business form such as dropshipper, franchising, or joint venture. Last but not least, a message group is formed as a media to discuss, consult, and encourage each other to start a business or participate in business plan competition.

Abstract

Paradigm of education requires a better change in students’ behavior. To challenge these problems, the improvement way of learning is needed. Inquiry method is associated to improve student learning outcomes and activities. The purpose of this study was to determine the differences of student learning outcomes and activities that is learned between the inquiry method and conventional learning. The population of this study was all students from five classes in grade VII MTsN Bakti Pidie City academic year of 2010/2011. The samples were randomly selected (random sampling) with VII2 grade students as the experimental group and VII4 grade students as a control group. The data was collected through paper and pencil test: pretest and posttest and non-test through observation sheet. The data is analyzed using t-test, moreover student activities were analyzed by percentage formula. The analysis of data shows t count= 3.80 and ttable = 2.64, it is indicated that the student learning outcomes by methods of inquiry is significantly different from student learning outcomes with conventional methods. Students teaching by Inquiry learning are more active than students teaching by conventional learning.

Abstract

AbstractThis research was motivated by the low ability of students to think mathematically critical thinking in solving problems. The research objective was to describe the students' mathematical critical thinking skills in class XI IPA 3. The research method used was descriptive method with a qualitative approach. The research subjects were students of SMAN 1 Lembah Melintang class XI IPA 3. The instruments used to collect data were written tests, interviews, and documentation. The test results were analyzed based on the aspect of mathematical critical thinking skills. The results showed that mathematical critical thinking skills with high category abilities can work on critical thinking test questions properly and correctly. Furthermore, the moderate ability is not able to do critical thinking test questions well, while the low category has not been able to do critical thinking test questions properly in accordance with the aspects of mathematical critical thinking skills.Keywords:  Mathematical Critical Thinking Ability Analysis AbstrakPenelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal. Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mendeskripsikan kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis siswa kelas XI IPA 3. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa SMAN 1 Lembah Melintang kelas XI IPA 3. Instrumen yang digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data berupa tes tertulis, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil tes dianalisis berdasarkan aspek kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis dengan kemampuan kategori tinggi dapat mengerjakan soal tes berpikir kritis dengan baik dan benar. Selanjutnya, kemampuan sedang kurang mampu dalam mengerjakan soal tes berpikir kritis dengan baik, sedangkan kategori rendah belum mampu dalam mengerjakan soal tes dengan baik sesuai dengan aspek kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis.  Kata kunci: Analisis Kemampuan Berpikir Kritis Matematis  DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.23960/mtk/v9i3.pp244-255

Abstract

Human beings interact not only with verbal communication, but also nonverbal communication. Nonverbal communication is very important in interactional process and one of its forms is gestures. Because gestures and language affect each other, gesture issues have been studied as an essential part in second and foreign language classroom. It is because gestures can help learners to comprehend the language and enjoy the learning activities.

Abstract

To face globalisation challenge,a da’i or Islamic preacher has to be aware of any change that occurs.Especially when he or she is intended to deliver Islamic messages to pluralist community that come from diffferent cultures, beliefs, opinions and needs.A common form of communication form that da’i can use in doing his or her mission is verbal communication. There are two kinds of perspectives that can be used as reference to know more about verbal communication knowledge. Firstly, it is can be investigated from Quranic context which implies about verbal communication strategies such as qaulan sadida, qaulan baligha, qaulan layyinan, qaulan ma’rufa, qaulan karima and qaulan maitsura. Secondly, concerning cross-cultural context, there are some issues that should be taken into account like communication styles like direct/indirect communication styles, elaborate/succinct communication styles, personal/contextual communication styles, instrumental/affective communication styles, gender differences in communication, pidgins and creoles and translation and interpretation.

Abstract

Telah dilakukan penelitian yang berjudul “Identifikasi Tempat Perindukan Larva Nyamuk Anopheles Vektor Malaria Di Gampoeng Paya Cut Kecamatan Peusangan Bireuen. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui tempat perindukkan larva Anopheles yang terdapat di Gampoeng Beurawe dan mengidentifikasi jenis larva Anopheles yang ditemukan di semua tempat perindukan di Gampoeng Beurawe. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan maret 2013 di Gampoeng Paya Cut Kecamatan Peusangan Bireuen dan identifikasi larva nyamuk dilakukan di Laboratorium MIPA Ulmuslim Bireuen. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan metode survei, penentuan lokasi dan pengambilan sampel menggunakan metode purposive sampling. Stasiun pengamatan 1 berupa selokan air tergenang, stasiun pengamatan 2 rawa-rawa dan stasiun pengamatan 3 payau. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa jenis larva yang ditemukan adalah Anopheles sundaicus vektor malaria pada ketiga stasiun pengamatan tempat perindukan larva nyamuk Anopheles di Gampoeng Paya Cut Kecamatan Peusangan Bireuen. Dari hasil penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa ditemukannya larva Anopheles sundaicus vektor penyakit malaria di semua stasiun pengamatan di Gampoeng Paya Cut Kecamatan Peusangan Bireuen. Kata Kunci : Tempat perindukan, larva Anopheles sundaicus, vektor malaria

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui ada tidaknya pengaruh pendekatan pembelajaran sains teknologi masyarakat berbantu media lingkungan terhadap hasil belajar siswa pada materi ekosistem kelas X di SMA Negeri 1 Gandapura yang dilaksanakan pada semester genap tahun ajaran 2018/2019. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kuantitatif dengan jenis penelitian eksperimen. Rancangan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah rancangan Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini yaitu seluruh siswa kelas X, sedangkan yang menjadi sampel  yaitu kelas X IPA3 sebagai kelas kontrol sebanyak 20 siswa dan X IPA4 sebagai kelas eksperimen. Sebanyak 20 siswa, yang diambil dengan menggunakan teknik cluster random sampling. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan memberikan pretest dan posttest. Data hasil penelitian di analisis dengan menggunakan program SPSS versi 20.Hasil perhitungan untuk uji hipotesis menunjukkan bahwa nilai p < 0,05 (0,04< 0,05). Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa pendekatan pembelajaran sains teknologi masyarakat berbantu media lingkungan berpengaruh terhadap hasil belajar siswa pada materi ekosistem kelas X di SMA Negeri 1 Gandapura. Kata kunci: Model Pembelajaran Sains Teknologi Masyarakat (STM), Media Lingkungan, Hasil belajar, Materi Ekosistem

Abstract

ABSTRACKThis research has been implemented in June-July 2019 at the Faculty of Fisheries and Marine of Riau University. The purpose of this research is to know the best dose of dolomite lime in the growth of Baung fish (Hemibagrusnemurus) using the Bioflok system. The method used in this research is the experimental method by using RAL (complete random draft), with 4 treatment levels and 3 repeats, with the following treatment: (1) P1:100 gr/m3 or 4 gr/40 L, (2) P2: the addition of Dolomite limestone 150 gr/m3 or 6 gr/40 L, (3) P3: The provision of limestone dolomite as much as 200 gr/m3 or 8 gr/40 L and (4) P4: the addition of Dolomite limestone 240 gr/m3 or 10 gr/40 L. The best result of this study is on P3 treatment = The addition of dolomite limestone 200 gr/m3 (8GR/40 L) with the quality of water during the research temperature 28 0C, Ammoniac 0,0003-0,0006 mg/L, DO4,37-4.77 mg/L, pH 6-7. Then on growth and livelihood is on the growth of the average Ratar 4.4 gr, the total weight growth is 2.39 g, average growth of average 8.66 cm, the total growth of absolute 2.74 cm, growth rate Pesifik 2.579%, life cycle 97% and Volume FLOC 5.8 ml/L.Kata Kunci :Molase, BioflokHemibagrusnemurus, KapurDolomit,

Abstract

Abstract: This research was conducted to determine the effectiveness of online learning and the factors that influence the online learning process. Problem formulation in this study is How effective is e-learning in PKn subjects in grade XI SMAN 1 Tualang and What factors inhibit and encourage the effectiveness of e-learning in PKn subjects in grade XI SMAN 1 Tualang. This study aims to find out the effectiveness of e-learning and the inhibitory factors and drivers of the effectiveness of e-learning in PKn subjects in grade XI SMAN 1 Tualang. The benefits of this research are to be used as a reference for schools and subject teachers in improving the effectiveness of online learning and minimizing the inhibition factors of e-learning. This research was conducted in July-October 2020. The samples in this study were 79 students of SMAN 1 Tualang with Proportional Random Sampling techniques and using the Slovin formula. Researchers used questionnaires, interviews and documentation to gather the data needed to measure the effectiveness of e-learning. Researchers use descriptive-quantitative methods to analyze the data that has been collected. The results of this study showed that e-learning in SMAN 1 Tualang was effective, indicated by the overall score of 6,462 (63.10%) expected score of 10,240 (100%). Most respondents answered the inhibition factor of e-learning is internet quota and unstable network. While the driving factor of e-learning is the desire of students to continue studying even though it is not possible to study in school.Key Words: Effectiveness, Online Learning
