The rapid influence of the rapid development of information and communication technology (ICT) requires educators to harness the technological results in the learning process and gain access to broader (global) knowledge. Likewise educators are required to develop skills to make learning media so that learning can run effectively, interesting, generate motivation and provoke creativity of learners. This activity aims at (a) Developing teacher competence in designing instructional media based on information and communication technology (b) Developing teachers' skill in making learning media and (c) Increasing teacher's insight in utilizing technology and communication. Through the community service activities of the State University of Padang held training efforts to improve the ability of teachers in making meida learning based on information technology in SMKN 1 Batipuh. The method of devotion chosen is the training with the target of 25 teachers with the material of designing, manufacturing and using learning media with power point, lecture training method, question and answer, demonstration and workshop. Presentation of theory and practice held for 2 days located at SMKN 1 Batipuh West Sumatra. The result of the dedication activity is 25 participants have competence marked by the improvement indicator on the ability of designing, making and using learning media with power point.

The number of motorcycle users in the city of Padang is not proportional to the number of motorcycle repair service providers. Especially in Parupuk Tabing Village, Koto Tangah District, Padang City, the increase in the number of motorcycles is not proportional to the number of existing motorcycle repair shops. The opportunity to create a motorcycle workshop entrepreneur in this area is very promising.Life skill training for motorcycle mechanics for unemployed people aims to generate an entrepreneurial spirit by creating new entrepreneurs for motorcycle repair shops independently, and also providing assistance in the form of basic equipment to create new entrepreneurs for motorcycle repair shops.The implementation of PKM activities is carried out with the obligation to comply with health protocols in the Jondul 1 field, RW XVI, Parupuk Tabing Village, Koto Tangah District, Padang City, West Sumatra. The number of unemployed people who will take part in this training are 30 people. The implementation method approach used is (1) the lecture and question and answer method (2) the discussion method (3) the practical method, and (4) the guidance and evaluation method.The results of the training showed a high level of interest, participation and activeness of participants in participating in the training.

Combustion emissions from millions of exhaust coming out every day would cause problems because the impact on the air quality and the problems of chronic diseases when inhaled by humans. This study wants to reveal the influence of variations in electric voltage to the fuel pump exhaust emissions. The study was conducted using an experimental method, using a form of Post-test Only Control Design. The object being tested is a Toyota Avanza 1.3 GM / T. The voltage should be 12 V, the research varying the voltage to the level of 11 V, 10 V and 9 V. The results obtained, when the voltage is 12 V the average emissions of CO and HC 95.5ppm 0.187%. At a voltage of 11 V emissions down to 0.125% CO and HC 62.5ppm. However, when the voltage is 10V and 9V increased emissions. At 10 V variation 0.245% CO and HC 110.8ppm. At 9 V variation 0.303% CO and HC 139.2ppm.

Peningkatan prestasi dan aktivitas belajar siswa pada pelajaran Menggunakan Alat Ukur diperlukan untuk memperbaharui cara pengajaran lama yang berpusat pada guru atau Teacher Center Learning (TCL). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan prestasi dan aktivitas belajar siswa dalam menggunakan alat ukur mekanik dengan model Problem Based Learning(PBL).Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas menggunakan model siklus Kemmis dan Mc. Taggart.Jumlah Responden sebanyak 40 siswa. Instrumen penelitiannya pre test dan post test, observasi, Lembar Kegiatan Siswa (LKS) dan angket.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai meningkat dibuktikan dengan hasil nilai siklus terakhir pre test 55% dan post test 90% yang tuntas. Nilai afektif dan psikomotor meningkat yaitu79,75% dan.78,25%, dan sudah melewati indikator pencapaian kelulusan yaitu 75%. Nilai angket memperoleh kriteria baik dengan nilai Tingkat Pencapaian Responden (TPR) 81,89%. Dengan ini berarti model PBL dapat membantu guru menyajikan pelajaran di depan kelas.

This study discusses the effect of using a racing exhaust with asbestos and stainless steel-based filters. The purpose of this study is to find out how big the role of racing exhaust filters in reducing noise and exhaust emissions. This study uses an experimental method with the static comparison design. The object of this research is Honda Beat injection motorcycle 2017. The data from this study were taken from testing standard exhaust, stainless steel, and asbestos. Based on the research that has been done, it can be concluded that the use of stainless steel-based filters is effective in reducing HC emissions compared to standard exhausts and racing exhausts with asbestos filters, stainless steel filters are also effective in reducing noise by 4.4% compared to exhausts with asbestos filters. Penelitian ini membahas tentang pengaruh dari pemakaian knalpot racing dengan saringan berbahan dasar asbes dan stainless steel. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu mengetahui seberapa besar peranan saringan knalpot racing dalam mereduksi kebisingan dan emisi gas buang yang dihasilkan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimen dengan desain the static comparison design. Objek dari penelitian ini adalah sepeda motor Honda Beat injeksi tahun 2017. Data dari penelitian ini diambil dari pengujian knalpot standar, stainless steel, dan asbes. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan saringan berbahan dasar stainless steel efektif mereduksi emisi HC dibanding knalpot standar dan knalpot racing dengan saringan asbes, saringan stainless steel juga efektif mereduksi kebisingan sebesar 4,4% dibandingkan kanlpot dengan saringan asbes.

Penelitian bertujuan untuk melihat pengaruh lingkungan kampus terhadap IPK, pengaruh status sosial ekonomi terhadap IPK serta pengaruh lingkungan kampus dan status sosial ekonomi terhadap IPK . Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif assosiatif. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa S1 dan D3 Teknik Otomotif Fakultas Teknik Universitas Negeri Padang tahun masuk 2016. Total populasi sebanyak 137 mahasiswa. Sampel yang diambil sebanyak 103 orang. Teknik analisis yang digunakan adalah analisis regresi sederhana dan regresi berganda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa 1) status sosial ekonomi tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap IPK mahasiswa Jurusan Teknik Otomotif Fakultas Teknik UNP, 2) lingkungan kampus tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap IPK mahasiswa Jurusan Teknik Otomotif Fakultas Teknik UNP dan 3) status sosial ekonomi dan lingkungan kampus tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap IPK mahasiswa Jurusan Teknik Otomotif Fakultas Teknik UNP.

Pertumbuhan industri/lapangan kerja tidak sebanding dengan jumlah lulusan SMK menjadikan tingkat persaingan bekerja semakin ketat. Untuk menyiapkan lulusan dan mengurangi angka penganguran di SMKN 1 Tarusan dan SMKN 2 Painan, maka peneliti mencoba meimplemtansikan pembelajaran berbasis produk, untuk membuka wawasan siswa tentang wirausaha. Daerah Pesisir Selatan merupakan satu-satunya daerah yang telah mendapatkan predikat Wisata Shar’I, sehingga menjadi peluang bagus bagi alumni SMK untuk berkreasi menciptakan produk inovatif yang bernilai jual sebagai cendramata wisata daerah Pesisir Selatan. Metode pebelajaran berbasis produk ini menerapkan rancangan penelitian R&D. Produk yang dihasilkan sampel penelitian adalah Lampu Hias dari Stick es Krim. Implementasi pembelajaran berbasis produk telah mampu meningkatkan minat siswa untuk berwirausaha sebesar 44%.

The lack of total student involvement in the learning process is due to a lack of effort in finding information independently and not achieving active learning. The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of intrinsic motivation on project-based learning in the automotive engineering education student workforce transfer system course. The method used was a quasi-experimental research design with a 2x2 factorial. The population used was students of the Automotive Engineering Department, Faculty of Engineering, Padang State University, 2020/2021 academic year. The results showed that students who applied project-based learning had higher learning outcomes than using conventional methods. This was based on the value of Fcount greater than Ftable, 7.866 > 3.34 at the 0.05 significance level. There is an interaction between learning methods and students' intrinsic motivation towards learning outcomes, this is evidenced by the value of Fcount is greater than Ftable, 7.602> 3.34 at the 0.05 significance level. There is a significant difference in student learning outcomes between project-based learning and conventional learning which has high intrinsic motivation. The final research result is that there is no significant difference in student learning outcomes between project-based learning and conventional learning which has low intrinsic motivation

This research is aim to describe how student use the internet in campus Automotive Engineering Department Padang State University at 2012. Descriptive Research Method was used for this research. Questionnaire was made to obtain the data. Its Questions are about the knowledge of internet facilities and use of the Internet by college students on campus. Questionnaire distributed to 138 respondents. From questionnaire data founded that 84% respondents using campus wifi hotspot for more than two days a week. About 99% of them use the internet to seek learning material to improve academic and technical knowledge. But, unfortunately Academic Information System are still not fully utilized. For example, only 9 of the respondents who have used discussion / chat online as one of a services of Academic Information System

The increasing number of vehicles has resulted in an increase in air pollution. Innovations were made to improve engine performance and reduce levels of exhaust emissions. This research was conducted on several types of racing coil and iridium spark plugs which will be examined for their ability to reduce levels of exhaust emissions. Several types of racing coil and spark plug racing (iridium) are mounted on a gasoline motor and then tested and compared the exhaust emissions. The gasoline engine used is the Honda Supra X 125 motorcycle, the results of the study indicate the Blue Thunder coil and NGK Iridium are able to improve engine performance and reduce levels of exhaust emissions.
