Abstract

Besar koefisien viscous, friction dan electric dumping sangat berpengaruh terhadap karakteristik dan energy bangkitan yang dihasilkan shock absorber. Semakin besar nilai dumping koefisien maka secara langsung akan mengurangi energi input mekanisme harvesting energy. Pada penelitian ini akan di deskripsikan seberapa besar nilai dumping koefisien untuk 3 variabel (viscous, friction dan electric), sehingga kita dapat mengetahui karakteristik dari Regeneratif Shock Absorber. Data ini juga dijadikan acuan dalam melakukan pengembangan Regeneratif Shock Absorber kedepannya. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode experimen dengan memasang shock absorber pada alat uji suspensi (Suspension Test Rig). Pengujian dilakukan 3 tahap dimana masing-masing tahap dilalui akan diperoleh 3 nilai dumping koefisien (viscous, friction dan electric). Dari hasil pengujian diperoleh nilai viscous dumping sebesar 518 N.s/m (rebound) dan 694 N.s/m (Compression), friction dumping sebesar 113 N.s/m (rebound) dan 232 N.s/m (Compression), electic dumping sebesar 476 N.s/m (rebound) dan 390 N.s/m (Compression). Sektor Viscous dumping memiliki rerata dumping koefisien tertinggi sebesar 606 N.s/m dan terendah pada friction dumping sebesar 172.5 N.s/m. Besaran dumping koefisien masing-masing item dijadikan data acuan dalam pengembangan RSA ke depan.

Abstract

Nagari Batu Basa merupakan salah satu nagari yang termasuk ke dalam wilayah Kec. Pariangan, Kab. Tanah Datar, Provinsi Sumatera Barat dengan jumlah penduduk 4.262 jiwa. Hampir 40% pemuda di daerah ini tidak memiliki pekerjaan tetap dikarenakan putus sekolah sehingga tidak memiliki ijazah untuk melamar pekerjaan. Karena jumlah sepeda motor yang cukup banyak pada nagari ini, maka salah satu peluang lapangan pekerjaan yang dapat diciptakan pemuda putus sekolah adalah usaha bengkel sepeda motor. Tujuan program pelatihan ini adalah untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan perawatan/ servis berkala sepeda motor dan kemudian dapat membuka lapangan kerja sendiri dalam bidang jasa perawatan/ servis sepeda motor. Pelatihan ini menggunakan metode ceramah, tanya jawa, demonstrasi dan bimbingan melalui modul atau buku saku pelatihan serta praktek langsung perawatan berkala pada sepeda motor masing-masing peserta pelatihan. Setelah pelaksanaan pelatihan, pemuda putus sekolah memiliki peningkatan pengetahuan tentang cara menggunakan sepeda motor yang baik dan benar sehingga dapat memperpanjang masa pemakaian sepeda motor. Disamping itu juga meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan pemuda putus sekolah mengenai perawatan berkala sepeda motor sehingga diharapkan mampu membuka lapangan pekerjaan berupa jasa perawatan (service) sepeda motor di daerah Kenagarian Batu Basa Kec. Abstract

This study aims to optimize the electrical energy generation generated by the Electromagnetic Regenerative Shock Absorber (ERSA) type of alnico bar magnet on the rear suspension Multi Purpose Vehicle. This study uses the Taguchi Experiment method by varying the number of copper windings (1000, 1500, 2000 turns), wire diameter (0.2 mm, 0.3 mm, 0.4 mm) and large air gap (2 mm, 3 mm, 4 mm). The results showed the highest electrical voltage generation of 1.68V in 2000 wire coil variants, 0.4 mm wire diameter and 4 mm air gap. while the lowest voltage generated electricity is 0.9V on 1000 wire coil variants, 0,2 mm diameter diameter and 2 mm air gap. That is, an increase in the voltage generated by using the Taguchi Experiment method from previous studies which produced a voltage of 121-131mV. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengoptimalkan energi listrik bangkitan yang dihasilkan oleh Elektromagnetik Regenerstif Shok Absorber (ERSA) tipe magnet batang alnico pada suspensi belakang Multi Purpose Vehicle. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Eksperimen Taguchi dengan memvariasikan jumlah lilitan tembaga (1000, 1500, 2000 lilitaan), diameter kawat (0,2 mm, 0,3 mm, 0,4 mm) dan besar celah udara (2 mm, 3 mm, 4 mm). Hasil penelitian didapatkan tegangan listrik bangkitan paling tinggi sebesar 1,68V pada varian lilitan kawat 2000, diameter kawat 0,4 mm dan celah udara 4 mm. sedangkan tegangan listrik bangkitan paling rendah sebesar 0,9V pada varian lilitan kawat 1000, diameter kawar 0,2 mm, dan celah udara 2 mm. Artinya, terjadi peningkatan tegangan yang dihasilkan dengan menggunakan metode Eksperimen Taguchi dari penelitian sebelumnya yang menghasilkan tegangan sebesar 121-131mV.

Abstract

This study discusses the thermal analysis of the disc brakes used in UNP energy-efficient cars. There are three types of disc brake designs that are simulated, namely solid disc brake, circular hole ventilated and vane ventilated types. Using the finite element method, the three disc brake designs analyzed the characteristics of the heat received from the braking process. Disc brakes with better heat dissipation ability are the most suitable type to use. From the simulation results, the ventilated (circular hole) disc brakes have the best heat dissipation capability with a maximum temperature of 635,520 K, lower than the vane and solid types where the maximum is obtained. temperatures of 5700 K and 809.50 K . The vane type disc brake design is a disc brake design with the worst heat dissipation capability which has the highest final temperature of 809.50 K.Keywords—Thermal analysis, disk brake, heat, high efficiency vehicle

Abstract

This study discusses the numerical study of two-dimensional analysis of flow through circular cylinders. The original physical information entered in the equation governing most of the modeling is transferred into a numerical solution. Fluid flow on two-dimensional circular cylinder wall using high Reynolds k-ε modeling (Re = 106), Here we will do 3 modeling first oder upwind, second order upwind and third order MUSCL by using k-ε standard. The general procedure for this research is formulated in detail for allocations in the dynamic analysis of fluid computing. The results of this study suggest that MUSCL's third order modeling gives more accurate results better than other models.

Abstract

This research is a development of previous research entitled "Designing Regenerative Shock Absorber as a Vibration Energy Harvesting Tool on Vehicles" in the PUPT scheme funded by PNBP UNP 2017. In this study optimization of design oriented to energy generation was carried out while also paying attention to aspects driving comfort that might change due to the installation of a harvesting energy mechanism. One aspect of the change occurred in the type of magnet used, namely a ring type magnet with a type of neodymium material.From the test results obtained by changing the value of the efficiency of the shock absorber after the ERSA mechanism is installed by 2%, this condition also has an impact on the dissimilarity of the attenuation value obtained by 2% for the front-rear (left) and (right) wheels. In terms of generation voltage obtained the maximum generation voltage obtained is 25,600 mV. Based on the data obtained, it needs further development ERSA, especially in the aspect of the electromagnetic mechanism to optimize the generation of electrical energy.

Abstract

Many can be used to improve the quality of teachers (teachers), among others, the implementation of Classroom Action Research (PTK). Closed education will increase if teachers have and compose a diagogic, personality, competence, and professional competency. PTK is the most appropriate step to improve the quality of learning. This quality improvement will positively affect teachers and teachers. For teachers, PTK is a reflective action over the learning that it does. Selamaini, the teacher is still considered and assumes his or her other resources out of less effort to improve the model and the learning model used. By performing the TOD, the teacher will know the actual condition that he or she faces. The workshop participants were provided with knowledge about the aspects of PTK sertacar in the preparation of a good PTK and hope that they could provide refreshment to teachers relating to the TOD, so that the teachers could do the research as well as to solve the problem of the teaching process they lead. In addition, the objective is also to stimulate teachers to produce a written article published in the field of education. In the case of the Service to the community this teacher is directly guided so as to be able to make the PTK in a separate, multi-disciplinary / offshore environment. From the activities undertaken by the team found a very significant improvement in terms of understanding of teachers in preparing the PTK. This is obtained from the pre test (question and answer) conducted ahead of the activity and post test post activities. Although there is a significant increase in understanding, there is still a need for teachers' independence and intuition in understanding the compilation of TOD more deeply. The Community Service Team provides wide access for workshop participants to communicate both orally and through social networking so that the competence can be developed. In addition, the team devotion to the community also provides modules and literature that can be used as a reference in the preparation of PTK.

Abstract

The development of automotive technology is increasing rapidly along with the high level of competition among producers. According to data compiled by the Association of Indonesian Motorcycle Industry (AISI) in 2015-2016 there was an increase in the number of motorcycle sales of about 4.6% or an increase of 5.8 million units for. The high level of sales and technological developments leaving the problem for the automotive business itself. One of the problems that often happens is the slow absorption of technological progress to the hands of users. Motorcycle service workshops and bottom-line businesspeople are very vulnerable to the impact of this technology transfer process. This situation indirectly affects the sluggish economic movements among the bottom because they lack access (training and access to the latest sources of technology references). This situation should be a special concern for the top of the automotive business activists and also practitioners / academics related to the rapid development of technology produced can give impacts of rapid economic growth also for lower-level business people.The Up Grade skill program of motorcycle service involves a partner group (workshop) consisting of 6 people mechanics who are still in the beginner category. The training materials provided are tune up, conventional motorcycle overhaul (carburetor) and tune up injection motorcycle. Training is held for 2 full days (equivalent to 20 hours) with competency test process on the last day of the program. From the training activities can be seen the improvement of mechanical competence obtained from the pre-test at the beginning of the training and post test at the end of the activity.Through the program of Community Service of Regular Science and Technology is expected proposers can play its role as an academic in helping accelerate the process of technology transfer, especially for lower-level business people who do have limited access to technology. After the end of this program is expected to increase the mechanical skills as well as the increased service quality and competitiveness of partner workshops.

Abstract

Salah satu permasalahan sekolah di daerah adalah keterbatasan akses informasi dan update teknologi yang cenderung lambat. Kondisi ini diperparah dengan keterbatasan peralatan serta ketersediaan fasilitas praktikum. Kondisi ini menjadi latar belakang penulis bersama tim untuk melaksanakan pengabdian masyarakat di SMK N 1 Kec. Luak. Kondisi sekolah yang masih tergolong baru menyisakan banyak permasalahan dalam kegiatan PBM. Mulai dari ketersediaan peralatan, ketersediaan sumber informasi dan update teknologi yang minim(Erzeddin Alwi, Nuzul Hidayat, Wanda Afnison, 2018).Kegiatan PKM dilaksanakan selama 4 hari dengan materi system bahan bakar injeksi (EFI). Materi ini dipilih karena permintaan sekolah yang memang masih minim informasi terkait sistem EFI. Kegiatan PKM dimulai dengan kegiatan pre test(Fernandez, Chandra, Maksum, & Afnison, 2018) di awal pertemuan, yang digunakan untuk pemetaan kompetensi siswa. Kegiatan PKM dibagi menjadi 2 kegiatan utama yaitu: teori dan praktik. Peserta dibekali materi teori terlebih dahulu sebelum melakukan praktik di workshop. Pada akhir kegiatan dilakukan post test sebagai bentuk evaluasi berupa ujian tulis.Dari hasil evaluasi diperoleh peningkatan pemahaman siswa terkait materi system bahan bakar injeksi (EFI) dengan rata-rata peningkatan pemahaman sebesar 10-15% tiap siswa. Kondisi ini cukup posistif mengingat kegiatan PKM yang dilaksanakan hanya 4 hari. Penulis berkeyakinan jika ini dilanjutkan secara terus menerus maka dapat berdampak kepada peningkatan kualitas PBM dan kualitas lulusan(Hidayat, Arif, Setiawan, & Afnison, 2018).

Abstract

Salah satu kriteria wajib lulusan SMK harus memiliki nilai kebaharuan kompetensi. Nilai kompetensi yang minim kebaharuan akan kalah bersaing dalam pesatnya perkembangan teknologi saat ini. Pihak sekolah memiliki andil besar dalam merancang suatu pembelajaran yang memiliki nilai kebaharuan. Untuk mencapai hal itu, pihak sekolah harus bergerak cepat untuk menghadirkan program kerjasama, pelatihan dengan instansi lain yang memang memiliki profesionalitas di bidangnya. Tapi bukanlah hal yang mudah bagi sekolah untuk bisa berkolaborasi dengan isntitusi diluar sekolah apalagi bagi SMK N 1 Kepulauan Mentawai yang merupakan salah satu daerah 3T di provinsi Sumatera Barat. Sulitnya akses informasi, keterbatawsan SDM dan minimnya peralatan menjadi kendala utam SMK N 1 Kepulauan Mentawai untuk mengejar ketertinggalan mereka.Permasalahan yang dialami SMK diatas merupakan salah satu tanggung jawab dosen selaku pendidik, dimana dari tridharma Perguruan Tinggi yang harus dilaksanakan terdapat poin pengabdian kepada masyarakat. Profesi dosen wajib melakukan pengabdian kepada masyarakat terkait permasalahan yang muncul disekitarnya. Berdasarkan permasalahan yang dialami SMK pada point awal, kami tim pengabdian masyarakat dari Jurusan Teknik Otomotif melalui LP2M UNP mencoba bekerjasama dengan sekolah dalam melakukan akselerasi guna mengejar ketertinggalan kompetensi guru dan siswa di daerah 3T seperti SMK N 1 Kepulauan Mentawai. Diharapkan dari pelatihan ini diperoleh peningkatan kompetensi dan pengetahuan guru dan siswa terkait overhaul engine sepeda motor.Dari hasil evaluasi di awal dan akhir kegiatan diperoleh peningkatan yang signifikan terkait pemahaman siswa tentang proses overhaul engine sepeda motor.
