Abstract

This article aims to create a competency based training module on graphic design printing subjects. This study uses a research and development model with four methods namely define, design, develop, and dessiminate. To determine the level of validity, practicality, and effectiveness of learning outcomes seen by one group pre-test and post-test. The population in this study was all students of grade XI majoring in multimedia at SMKN 1 Ampek Angkek, totaling 30 students. In this study seen how much influence the learning outcomes on the CBT module.

Abstract

Perhotelan merupakan alat vital yang melayani wisatawan lokal dan internasional di Kota Padang. Masalah muncul ketika informasi terbatas dari keramahan membuat sulit bagi wisatawan yang ingin memesan hotel. Perancangan sistem informasi manajemen hotel di Kota Padang bertujuan untuk menghasilkan sistem informasi berbasis web yang dapat memberikan informasi hotel sehingga memudahkan wisatawan dalam mencari hotel. Perkembangan teknologi informasi termasuk Sistem Informasi Manajemen (SIM). Penggunaan peta digital Mapbox untuk membangun Sistem Informasi Manajemen (SIM) menjadi salah satu sarana efektif untuk media promosi dan informasi hotel di kota Padang. Perancangan sistem informasi manajemen hotel di Kota Padang menggunakan visualisasi model UML (Unified Modeling Language) dengan diagram visualisasi berorientasi objek. Metode pengembangan sistem menggunakan model Prototype. Bahasa pemrograman yang digunakan adalah bahasa pemrograman PHP (PHP Hypertext Preprocessor) berdasarkan framework codeigniter dan Javascript, AJAX, dengan MySQL sebagai Database Management System (DBMS), dan Sublime Text 3 sebagai editor. Perancangan sistem informasi menampilkan informasi tentang lokasi hotel bersama dengan layanan pelacakan atau arah menggunakan GPS, jenis kamar, harga, fasilitas, rating, dan ulasan yang tersedia.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the need for the media to learn that promote interaction and understanding of learning. The purpose of this research was: 1) to produce interactive learning media on Basic Graphic Design subjects at vocational high school. 2) Determining the validity of interactive learning media on Basic Graphic Design subjects at vocational high school. The method used is a Research and Development (R & D). The development Model used is 4-D (Four-D). The 4-D consists of four stages, namely discovering, designing, developing and disseminating. The subjects of research conducted were material experts and media experts. The instrument used to measure the form of validity is the questionnaire responses. The validity of interactive learning media is assessed from two aspects namely media feasibility and feasibility aspects of the matter. The results of this research indicate that interactive learning media on Basic Graphic Design subjects is considered valid as seen from the average value of media validation by 0.87 and the average result of 0.85 material validation. Based on the results of the validation of the interactive learning media on Basic Graphic Design subjects are feasible for use in assisting the learning process.

Abstract

Teachers and the world of education are generally expected to be able to create quality human resources both scientifically and positively. For this reason, in the learning process, the methods, strategies or learning activities carried out by the teacher should be something that is truly appropriate and meaningful, to obtain maximum results according to the stage of development of the child, then the strategies that the teacher uses in conveying something, both in the form of planting attitudes, mentality, behavior, personality and intelligence must be on target, seven proportional intelligence. In our lives we cannot deny that the ones who determine the attitudes, mentality, behavior, personality and intelligence of children are education, experience and exercises given and experienced by students since they were small. The results of the preliminary survey showed that several schools belonging to the Teacher Working Group (KKG) of Cluster V for science learning in SD III had not shown optimal learning. The results of the initial survey showed that the teacher working group (KKG) incorporated in the IV cluster V region of Koto Tangah Subdistrict, amounting to 11 schools, often experienced problems in the school learning process that had not been carried out optimally due to lack of learning media and science learning aids. The lecture activities carried out by the teacher were not wrong at all, but when lecturing, the teacher's interaction with students was not very running, the teacher only tended to lecture and did not pay attention to the situation and condition of students in the class. The lecture method also cannot be separated from the learning process. The lecture method will make students get maximum learning outcomes if packaged better and interestingly.

Abstract

This research was motivated by problems because paid software as OpenOffice Writer and Abi Word are free software, MS Office and OpenOffice Writer have many similarities in word processing. The purpose of this research was to analyze the Microsoft word software and open office writer in its operation in terms of features, usage security, user interface and rights. This type of research was descriptive which is correlational. The population in this study were users of word processing software in 2015 Informatics and Computer Education Students as many as 69 people. The number of samples was 40 people. Research results show that 1) Usability Variables, Information Quality and Interaction Quality together have a significant effect of 80% on the level of service quality of word processing application users, 2) variable X was very influential on user satisfaction of word processing applications and 3) simultaneously (F test) can provide information that Usability, Information Quality and Interaction Quality from the application together must be considered to improve the word processing application service. Keywords: Comparison of Word Processing Applications, Microsoft Word and Open Office Writter

Abstract

Pelanggaran siswa adalah masalah yang sering dilakukan siswa disekolah, mulai dari pelanggaran dengan point terendah sampai tertinggi. Disinilah dibutuhkan sistem informasi yang membantu pihak sekolah dalam menangani berbagai macam pelanggaran tata tertib yang dilakukan oleh siswa dalam proses pembelajaran, serta membantu pihak sekolah dalam memanajemen data absensi siswa. Sistem Informasi Monitoring Pelanggaran Siswa di SMK Negeri 8 Padang ini dibuat berbasis Android sebagai client dan web sebagai server, dengan adanya sistem ini setiap guru bisa menginputkan pelanggaran yang dilakukan oleh siswa dan secara otomatis pada setiap akhir semester, data absensi siswa dan data pelanggaran siswa bisa direkap secara cepat menjadi sebuah laporan. Sistem manual yang biasa dilakukan guru dan pihak sekolah lainnya bisa diganti dengan sistem informasi monitoring pelanggaran siswa yang telah bisa diakses secara cepat hanya dengan menggunakan telepon genggam.Kata kunci: Pelanggaran Siswa, Sistem Informasi, Monitoring, Android. Student violations are problems that are often done by students in schools, ranging from violations with the lowest to the highest points. This is where an information system is needed that helps the school in dealing with various kinds of disciplinary violations committed by students in the learning process, as well as assisting the school in managing student attendance data. The Student Violation Monitoring Information System at SMK Negeri 8 Padang was made based on Android as a client and web as a server, with this system every teacher can input violations committed by students and automatically at the end of each semester, student attendance data and student violation data can quickly recapitulated into a report. The manual system that is usually used by teachers and other schools can be replaced with an information system for monitoring student violations that can be accessed quickly using only a mobile phone.Keywords: Student Violations, Information Systems, Monitoring, Android.

Abstract

The rapid development of technology is widely used in various fields, one of which is the field of cleaning services. In the past, women worked on cleaning at home while men went to work out of the house. Nowadays, the changing patterns of life of the people demand that women and men spend their time going out of the house to work. Activities in homes that are getting denser but unchanged services result in imbalance, so people need to do cleaning at home. The solution to these problems is to make a home service application that provides home cleaning services. In making the application used to the yii2 framework, progressive web application and the waterfall method. Abstract

Graphic Design is one of the required subjects of expertise package for Vocational students in Multimedia majors. These Graphic Design subjects are more directed at competency-based practicum which aims to equip students' skills in the field of graphic design so that students have strong skills with realistic theoretical foundations for students. Therefore there are still many students who do not understand the learning given by the teacher because the teacher has not used different techniques in delivering learning material, therefore it is necessary to design interactive learning media so that the teacher is easy to apply learning material and help students master the subject matter. In designing basic Graphic Design learning materials using explicit intruction models and through Interactive Multimedia learning procedures, starting from the needs analysis in designing, gathering data, identifying material to determining learning flow chart design, material collection or graphic needs. The interactive multimedi learning media is designed using the adobe director 11 application, and other applications such as Adobe Photoshop, Coreldraw, Camtasia as supporting applications so that it becomes an interactive multimedia learning media application that provides convenience for students in learning.Keywords: Learning Media, Interactive Multimedia, Graphic Design.

Abstract

The purpose of  this research is to design and build a valid, practical and effective interactive learning media using Macromedia Flash 8  software. This type of research uses the IDI (Instructional Development Institute)model. The research and development step consists of three stages, namely define, develop, and evaluate. Three are 3 research instruments to collect data, namely the validation questionnaire, practicality questionnaire, and effectiveness test. The data analysis technique was performed using the Aiken’s V formula. The results of the design carried out produced an application that could be run on all computers/laptops of each student. Based on the results of research in Computer and Basic Network subjects class X TKJ Vocational High School 5 Padang declared valid with Aiken’s V coefficient value obtained an average value of 0,86 from media experts and 0,82 from material experts. The practicality of the media obtained a value of 85,67% from the teacher and 88% from students in the very practical category. The effectiveness test obtained students’ classical completeness of 86,2% and the average value of the gain score of 0,56 in the medium category. Based on the percentage of students’ classical completeness and the gain score, it can be concluded that this interactive learning media was declared effective. Keywords: Interactive Learning Media, Instructional Development Institute, Aiken’s V.

Abstract

The development of mobile communication technology leads people to use technology not only as a communication tool, but also as a tool to find a variety of information, and news. Today's society considers mobile communications media as a very practical needs in its use and has high mobility. Many news portal now also includes news portal applications for mobile devices. Ganto UNP news portal does not provide the application which led to the news portal infrequently accessed through mobile devices because of the view that is not user-friendly when accessed through the device. To overcome this problem, it is necessary to design a mobile application for Ganto news portal. So that mobile device users no longer need to access the Ganto news portal through a web browser. Simply by using the mobile application. This application was designed with the Java programming language, Eclipse as an IDE, Eclipse ADT as a plugin on android, and the Android SDK for Android application development, as well as the AVD emulator to run the android system. Programming language used to build web-service is PHP programming language and MySQL DBMS that has owned news portals Ganto as data storage server. By utilizing the Android mobile device technology, successfully obtained an application that can accommodate the needs of people who have a high level of mobility to access information on Ganto news portals anytime and anywhere effectively and efficiently.  Keywords   : News Portal, Ganto, Android, web-service.
