Abstract

Honoring one's parents is the fifth of the ten commandments of God found in the book of Exodus. Over time, the attitude of respect for parents has decreased which is quite alarming. This is marked by the emergence of phenomena and cases that occur in neglected elderly and do not receive adequate services by their families and relatives around them. This study aims to provide an understanding and implications of the text output 20:12 so that readers have more respect for the elderly in the family and community environment. The method used is qualitative with a literature study approach related to the attitude of respect for the elderly contained in Exodus 20:12 to explain how to respect parents, especially the elderly. The results obtained are that Exodus 20:12 reflects the true respect for the elderly where it can be a guide for the welfare of the elderly in Indonesia, especially the Christian elderly. This respect is realized through the understanding that children as part of the family are not only supportive as a support system from the physical side but also spiritually.

Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic has brought humans into a new civilization, where Zoom meeting is no longer just an application but a changing pattern of human interaction with each other. This change, of course, requires adaptation, and not a few end up having problems due to Work From Home. Zoom applications risked two times of experiencing fatigue in students and four times of experiencing stress and also having issues in disruption of social functioning. This article aims to provide a solution to a person's resilience as a social being in the zoom era (zoom politicon) by applying Sufism and kenosis values. The approach used is library research. Through this study, we can see that some of the values in Sufism and kenosis have become the basis for a person to survive all challenges in life, especially amid fatigue doing activity online. These current values also protect a person from being caught up in a sin that eventually perishes. Human values as a part of zoom politicon must still be put forward to reflect one's spiritual journey to God.

Abstract

This book describes the link between biblical theology and mission. The contributors' description of biblical theology is the basis for carrying out their mission, where the mission will not be completed if it has not been translated through the implications of practical theology in a contemporary context. Contributors combine descriptions of biblical theology with contemporary contextualization. The mission of God's people is more than just biblical theology. Wright provides the reader with a complete Bible with a complete theology for a complete missionary task related to the creation, redemption, and the new creation.

Abstract

Awareness of the realities of challenges in the world of mission arises because of the many developing global issues. How to respond correctly to these challenges is regulated in an applied ethics. This article aims to look at the role of applied ethics in global missions and produce a finding of the attitudes that Christian missioners should take. The method used is qualitative research with a literature review. The result is that in relation to applied ethics, a holistic mission does not merely pursue soul winning as the end of the Christian life. On the contrary, the commissioning to make them My disciples according to Christian ethics necessitates a process of transformation; on the one hand self-transformation and on the other social transformation. Mission must be accompanied by the application of the correct Christian ethics, so that every behavior that is created shows the face of Christ himself. AbstrakKesadaran akan realitas tantangan di tengah dunia misi muncul karena banyaknya isu-isu global yang berkembang. Bagaimana meresponi dengan benar tantangan tersebut diatur dalam sebuah etika terapan. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk melihat peran etika terapan dalam misi global dan menghasilkan sebuah temuan sikap yang harus dilakukan oleh penggiat misi Kristen. Metode yang digunakan adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan literature review. Hasil yang didapat adalah bahwa dalam hubungan dengan etika terapan, misi yang holistik tidak sekedar mengejar pemenangan jiwa sebagai akhir dari kehidupan Kristen. Sebaliknya, pengutusan untuk menjadikan mereka murid-Ku sesuai dengan etika Kristen mengharuskan suatu proses transformasi; di satu pihak transformasi diri dan di pihak yang lain transformasi sosial. Misi harus disertai dengan penerapan etika Kristen yang benar, sehingga setiap perilaku yang tercipta menampilkan wajah Kristus itu sendiri.

Abstract

The task of shepherding has always faced growth challenges and obstacles to this day. The level of spiritual community and the arrival of souls is decreasing among the younger generation, and the emergence of the hybrid medium as a system born in the digital era is another challenge. Pastoral relationships and stewardship particularly with this digital native tend to widen and lose their essential value. How can shepherding be consistent and sustainable in this digital age? Such a strategy is the solution? The purposes of this study are to describe the steps of grazing consistency and resilience; redefine the duties and responsibilities of a shepherd according to biblical standards; provide practical steps in pastoral care in the digital age. The method used is descriptive qualitative. The result is a contribution to church pastors to continue to be motivated and persist in their calling for service; to spiritual practitioners to be able to work together with pastoral teams to serve souls, and to be a source of reference for pioneering pastoralists and prospective pastors in later. AbstrakTugas penggembalaan selalu mengalami tantangan dan hambatan yang besar sampai hari ini. Tingkat komunitas rohani dan kedatangan jiwa menurun diantara generasi muda serta munculnya hybrid medium sebagai sistem yang lahir dari era digital menjadi tantangan lainnya. Hubungan dan penatalayanan gembala khususnya dengan native digital cenderung melebar dan kehilangan nilai yang esensial. Bagaimanakah penggembalaan tetap konsisten dan bertahan dalam era digital ini? Strategi seperti yang menjadi solusi? Tujuan dari penelitian ini, adalah untuk menjelaskan langkah konsistensi dan resiliensi penggembalaan; menggambarkan kembali tugas dan tanggung jawab dari seorang gembala menurut standar Alkitab; memberikan langkah praktis dalam pelayanan penggembalaan di era digital. Metode yang digunakan dengan kualitatif deskriptif. Hasilnya berupa kontribusi kepada para gembala gereja untuk terus termotivasi dan bertahan dalam panggilan pelayanan; kepada praktisi rohani untuk dapat bekerja-sama dengan team penggembalaan melayani jiwa jiwa; menjadi sumber referensi bagi penggembalaan perintisan dan calon calon pendeta dalam di kemudian hari.

Abstract

The Church is a fellowship of the sinners who have accepted Jesus Christ as Lord and saviour. Ironically, even after receiving forgiveness of sin, congregations are still human beings who still have the potential to do sin or mistake. It can happen to anyone, whether he is a church member, servant, or even pastor. Besides that, sin and mistake can happen in multiple forms and places, internally or externally. This article itself is an effort to find a biblical formulation in order to face this reality within the church ministry. This formulation can be found within Matthew 18:15-17 which contains a special discourse in Matthew concerning the church. The Church often understands Missio Dei or God’s mission only for non-Christian. According to this research, by using a descriptive-analytical method toward Matthew 18:15-17, which is a proportional hermeneutic approach, there seems a concept that Missio Dei also goes to Christians who live in sin. God loves sinners and because of that, He arranges how a Christian community faces its members who did sin. In this case, Matthew 18:15-17 teaches a concept that Missio Dei happens in multidimensional, including the one who has known God, yet falls in sin again.AbstrakPemahaman Missio Dei yang terlalu terpusat pada gereja cenderung menempatkan sasarannya atas bangsa-bangsa yang belum terjangkau Injil atau daerah-daerah yang belum pernah dijelajah. Hal ini menyebabkan perhatian Missio Dei sangat dominan pada usaha kon-versi. Mereka yang telah terhisab dalam gereja dipandang sebagai “yang telah ditemukan”, sehingga tidak lagi menjadi sasaran utama dalam pembahasan misi. Padahal penekanan pada usaha konversi semacam ini dapat menjadi tantangan tersendiri dalam misi konteks Asia, terutama Indonesia. Melalui penelitian dengan menggunakan metode deskriptif analitis terhadap Matius 18:15-17, yaitu melalui pendekatan hermeneutik yang proporsional, ditemukan suatu konsep bahwa Missio Dei berlaku juga bagi mereka yang sudah Kristen namun jatuh dalam dosa. Allah mengasihi orang berdosa dan oleh sebab itu, Ia mengatur bagaimana komunitas Kristen menghadapi jemaat yang berbuat dosa. Dengan kata lain, teks Matius 18:15-17 mengajarkan satu konsep bahwa Missio Dei berlaku dalam berbagai dimensi, termasuk bagi orang-orang Kristen yang sudah mengenal Allah, namun berbuat dosa lagi.

Abstract

The era of globalization with rapid development and progress in various areas of life has had its own impact on human life, especially teenagers who always want to keep up with the times. The impact of the entry of the world in the life of teenagers not only brings good influences but also bad influences. This paper aims to examine the impact and influence of the process of globalization on adolescents in Indonesia as well as the role of Christian Religious Education (PAK) in educating adolescents based on the verse contained in Proverbs 22:6. The research method used is a descriptive qualitative method by conducting literature research through the excavation of various sources of literature both from the Bible, books, various journals related to PAK for adolescents, the era of globalization, and the exegesis of Proverbs 22:6. The result of this article's research is that teenagers are unstable but already have their own perceptions or thoughts. According to Proverbs 22:6 adolescents are educated according to the path they understand or according to the perception of the teenager himself. PAK is here to educate, direct and build the right habituation so that the thoughts of teenagers who have been illuminated by the truth are the way that is appropriate of him.AbstrakEra globalisasi dengan perkembangan dan kemajuan pesat dalam berbagai bidang kehidupan telah memberi dampak tersendiri bagi kehidupan manusia, terutama remaja yang selalu ingin mengikuti perkembangan zaman. Dampak dari masuknya dunia dalam kehidupan remaja tidak hanya membawa pengaruh baik tetapi juga pengaruh buruk. Tulisan ini bertujuan untuk meneliti dampak dan pengaruh proses globalisasi terhadap anak remaja di Indonesia serta peran Pendidikan Agama Kristen (PAK) dalam mendidik remaja berlandaskan ayat yang terdapat dalam Amsal 22:6. Metode penelitian yang dipakai adalah metode kualitatif deskriptif dengan melakukan penelitian pustaka melalui penggalian berbagai sumber literatur baik dari Alkitab, buku, berbagai jurnal yang berkaitan dengan PAK bagi remaja, era globalisasi, dan eksegesis Amsal 22:6. Hasil dari penelitian artikel ini adalah remaja merupakan pribadi yang labil tetapi sudah memiliki persepsi atau pemikirannya sendiri. Berdasarkan Amsal 22:6 remaja dididik sesuai dengan jalan yang dipahaminya atau menurut persepsi remaja itu sendiri. PAK hadir untuk mendidik, mengarahkan dan membangun pembiasaan yang benar agar pemikiran remaja yang sudah diterangi oleh kebenaran itulah yang menjadi jalan yang patut baginya.

Abstract

The virtual world affects the growth of the spiritual lifestyle of the digital generation. The digital era is in a different quality of church leadership. A breakthrough in servant leadership by looking at Jesus' leadership is very significant. This article raises servant leadership as a solution to building a digital generation lifestyle. The question is; what is Servant Leadership in the Bible? How is the practice? And what strategies are used in developing a digital generation lifestyle? The objectives of the research are [1] to describe the biblical notion of servant leadership, [2] to explain the practice of leadership, and [3] to formulate strategies for developing a digital generation lifestyle. The research method is descriptive and qualitative. Servant leadership is [1] based on empathy, communication, and adaptability in small groups. [2] Passionate non-judgmental spirituality, and good verbal communication. [3] The strategy of forming a digital generation lifestyle with the capacity of the gift of the Holy Spirit, actions to become a beloved leader, and building high integrity. Research contributions; [1] pastoral team in serving the digital generation, [2] reference sources in the practice of spiritual ministry,[3] for prospective pastors and students from theological schools who are prepared to become church leaders.AbstrakDunia virtual telah mempengaruhi pertumbuhan lifestyle rohani gene-rasi digital. Generasi digital berada dalam kualitas kepemimpinan gereja yang berbeda.Terobosan baru dalam kepemimpinan pelayan dengan melihat model kepemimpinan Yesus sangat penting. Artikel ini mengangkat kepemimpinan pelayan sebagai solusi membangun lifestyle generasi digital. Pertanyaannya; apakah yang dimaksud Kepemimpinan Pelayan dalam Injil? Bagaimana praktik-nya? Serta strategi apakah yang digunakan dalam membangun lifestyle generasi digital? Tujuan dari penelitian [1] Menjabarkan pengertian kepemimpinan pela-yan yang Alkitabiah, [2] Menjelaskan praktek dalam kepemimpinan tersebut, [3] Merumuskan strategi dalam pembangunan lifestyle generasi digital. Abstract

Era Revolusi Industri 4.0 berdampak dalam segala hal, termasuk dalam kehidupan orang Kristen. Tulisan ini bertujuan untuk memperlihatkan bagaimana Pendidikan Agama Kristen dapat berperan dalam membimbing generasi muda Kristen dalam menyikapi perubahan di era Revolusi Industri 4.0 serta derasnya hoaks akibat fenomena pasca kebenaran. Dengan kajian deskriptif dan metode studi kepustakaan, akan digambarkan kondisi dan tantangan yang dihadapi, khususnya sehubungan dengan penggunaan gawai sebagai piranti teknologi, serta peran PAK dalam menyampaikan kebenaran dan menjadi sarana untuk membimbing generasi muda yang sanggup menjadi saksi-saksi Kristus yang harus memegang teguh kebenaran dan membangun relasi yang baik dengan sesama.
