Abstract

The implementation of CSR communication program is inseparable from the role of public relations as a bridge between Pertamina companies and the community and vice versa. As a resident of Rantau Subdistrict, Aceh Tamiang Regency, Pertamina's CSR has interpersonal and group communication relationships with the community. This research is qualitative research. Qualitative research is social research that fundamentally relies on human observations in its own area and relates to these people who try to reveal the facts/actual phenomena that occur in the field. the actual, the researcher is the key instrument, the data is descriptive, emphasizes the process, the data analysis is inductive, and the meaning of each event is an essential concern in qualitative research. The facts are said because they are in accordance with what is happening on the ground. The purpose of this research is to describe social events, by revealing factual events in the field and revealing hidden values, being more sensitive to descriptive information and trying to maintain the integrity of the object under study. CSR (Corparate Social Responsibility) PT Pertamina communicates partnerships to catfish farms owned by Muslim communities as part of the development of water farms related to the orientation of catfish farming development policies in order to build a prosperous society.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to find and study about public services advertising community movement program “GERMAS” public health.  This research is in the form of field research. Field research is research that is aimed directly at the location of the research to be studied, namely in a community, agency or company to search for data and then observe and conclude. Based on the results of the discussion in the previous chapter, it can be concluded that the public service advertisement broadcast of the GERMAS program broadcast by Odan FM Radio is effective, because listeners find it helpful to have information in the form of advertisements delivered through Odan Radio broadcasts, where many people follow several the points in the GERMAS program, although there are still people who do not know about and participate in this GERMAS program, where there are deficiencies felt by the Health Office in delivering the GERMAS program in the community.

Abstract

This study aims to determine thewinner of the regional head election2020 in the Serdang Bedagai Regency by Mr. Dharma Wijaya. There are three questions, That are: First, How is Darma Wijaya's political communication in winning the regional head election of Serdang Bedagai, Second, What is the political role of Mr. Darma Wijaya towards Party and Community Leaders in Serdang Bedagai, Three What is the media of political communication of Mr. Darma Wijaya in raising votes in Serdang Begadai. Theoretical framework in this study using group communication and interpersonal communication and mass media. Model of group communication according to Michael Burgoon and Joseph A. Devito.This study uses a qualitative approach through the design of a case study model. Data collection techniques through:1. Interview 2. Observation 3. Documentation Study. Informants is taken by purposive sampling technique. The data is processed according to Sugiono, through three steps, that are Data Reduction, Data Presentation and Conclusion Drawing or Conclusion Verification. The results of the study is group communication inthe winner of the regional head election 2020 in the Serdang Bedagai Regencyby Mr. Darma Wijaya involved elements of the community through WhatsApp Groups (WAG) to socialize policies and work programs to the community.By considering every group in the community to coordinate and be responsible for the winning process, WA groups isbuild as much as possible and layered, meaning starting from the smallest level group in the village to the district level, from the many media used, the WA group seems to be the most effective in binding potential voters. Abstract

This study aims to find out The General Election Commission (KPU) Communication Model in Increasing Voter Participation in the Election of the Governor of Sumut 2018. This research is included in qualitative research. Qualitative research is a social research which fundamentally relies on observing humans in their own domain and relating to those people who seek toreveal actual facts / phenomena that occur in the field. Based on the results of research that has been carried out with the title "Communication Model of the General Election Commission (KPU) in Increasing Voter Participation in the 2018 North Sumatra Governor Election in South Labuhanbatu Regency", the researchers concluded as follows: The General Election Commission of South Labuhanbatu Regency will collect data on the List of Candidates for Permanent Voters who will be given outreach. The General Election Commission of South Labuhanbatu Regency conducts outreach for novice voter candidates in high school equivalent to students who are already in class XII The General Election Commission of South Labuhanbatu Regency carried out the dissemination of the Governor Election to Farmers and Fishermen Communities. The General Election Commission of South Labuhanbatu Regency Strengthens the Synergy of the General Election Commission (KPU) with Local Community Organizations (Ormas). The General Election Commission of South Labuhanbatu Regency conducted socialization through audio and visual media.  The General Election Commission of South Labuhanbatu Regency uses the Question and Answer method, the community asks questions related to procedures and so on then the officer answers or vice versa .

Abstract

Artikel adalah karangan tertulis yang panjangnya tidak menentu bertujuan menyampaikan gagasan dan fakta dengan maksud meyakinkan, mendidik, atau menghibur (Rillan E. Wolseley, 1969 : 31). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui keefektifan artikel terhadap informasi yang diperoleh oleh mahasiswa. Tata cara riset yang digunakan merupakan Deskriptif Kualitatif dengan pendekatan riset permasalahan. Hasil riset membuktikan kalau sebagian besar mahasiswa memperoleh informasi dari organisasi LPM Dinamika UINSU. Oleh sebab itu, pendekatan mahasiswa diperlukan guna meminimalisir artikel yang bersifat hoax, sara, ujaran kebencian dan lain sebagainya dilingkungan universitas islam negeri sumatera utara.

Abstract

Countless different people groups call Indonesia home, giving the nation a rich cultural and religious mosaic. We are a multiethnic and multireligious community, and Indonesians have long had a reputation for being a very spiritual people. At least six faiths are officially acknowledged on a national level in Indonesia, including Christianity, Islam, Hindu Catholicism, Buddhism, and Confucianism. There are a wide variety of faiths practiced in Indonesia, hence its citizens must be tolerant of others who practice different faiths. A tolerant person recognizes the value in the contrasts between themselves and others, as well as between different social groupings. Tolerance is the practice of appreciating and welcoming the variety of human perspectives, customs, faiths, and skin tones that populate our global community. It is crucial to encourage a tolerant mindset not just in the local society, but also outside its borders. When people of different faiths approach one another with an attitude of tolerance, they may help foster an environment where everyone feels safe and respected. The purpose of this research is to analyze the role of cross-cultural communication in sustaining religious tolerance in the community of Sei Kera Hilir II, located in the Medan Perjuangan District of Medan City. Hopefully, the findings of this research may encourage readers of this journal to be more tolerant of people of other faiths and to avoid making assumptions about one another and their beliefs.

Abstract

Mass media is one of the factors that play an important role in social change of community culture. The role of mass media in social change of community culture is always related to diffusion of innovation. Change is driven by spread of new knowledge in society. Mass media has a role in the occurrence of social change in three aspects including (1) changes in people's mindset; (2) changes in community attitudes; and (3) cultural change. Mass media is a benchmark for the public to get information. By using literature studies, this paper aims to look at the role of mass media and contribute to all innovations that develop in society. The role of the mass media in education makes a change in the mindset and mentality of the nation. The role of mass media in the field of information dissemination can change people's attitudes. The role of the mass media in the entertainment community produces cultural material. In carrying out all of these roles, the mass media has a positive or negative impact according to the readiness of people to accept something new and the policy of the mass media owners to carry out their role in society

Abstract

Socio-cultural changes in the world of social media, namely the use of Instagram in Medan City, especially for students, have caused changes in human behavior. The research results show that the use of Instagram also has an impact on the emergence of social and cultural changes that are happening to students in the city of Medan today. They are not shy about excessive sharing and self-disclosure in cyberspace. Of course, this culture arose because of the presence of Instagram as a social media that can be accessed by anyone. Students are no longer able to provide boundaries between private and public spaces, so that Instagram now also has an influence not only being placed in the context of a channel or medium, but Instagram is already a way of life in the relationship between users and technology.

Abstract

Da'wah for Muslims is an obligation and is the responsibility of every Muslim. In the current era of globalization, preachers must be able to keep up with technological sophistication in conveying da'wah, so that the general public can receive every da'wah message properly. Nowadays, the media is one of the easiest tools to convey da'wah. Multimedia da'wah is a da'wah innovation for preachers in Indonesia, preachers can easily deliver da'wah. In this day and age, preachers only need to preach in one place and spread it through the media, be it television, radio or even the one that is most often used today, namely social media (multimedia). da'wah through the media will provide very effective results because many people understand the progress of this sophisticated technology so that the general public can easily see the preachers' various da'wah through television media, radio media and more importantly social media. preachers should use media that are widely spread in the community, such as combining da'wah media through pulpits, audio, radio, television, print media, the internet and even what we see more often, namely social media.

Abstract

Hallyu is a word that refers to the spread of popular culture in Korea internationally in various regions of the world. Usually, the presence of halyu encourages many people to learn Korean culture and language. With the globalization of media, this has caused the Korean wave and Hallyu to have a lot of influence on people's lives, especially among students and students. This paper is a paper that uses the literature study method. The source of information used in this paper is secondary information. The diffusion and acculturation of the Korean Wave in Indonesian culture has had two sides, both positive and negative. To overcome the problem of this cultural shift, the way that can be done is to provide guidance both from a psychological and religious perspective and to introduce Indonesian culture.
