Abstract

This research is motivated by the importance of students' understanding of mathematical concepts to learning mathematics. Therefore, it is necessary to use a model that is capable of learning to improve students' understanding of mathematical concepts one of which is a cooperative learning model make a match. This study aims to determine the activity of students and teachers in the learning process and to determine the improvement of students' comprehension of mathematical concepts using cooperative learning model make a match. This study was conducted on 10 April to 10 May 2014 in the Junior High School 13, the city of Bengkulu. Research subjects of this study were all students of class VII C to determine the increase in activity and the ability of understanding the concept of using observation sheets of students and teachers to see what students and teachers during the learning process, then performed a pre-test to determine the ability of beginning students and post-test to determine the ability of the student understanding of mathematical concepts as applied to cooperative learning model make a match on each cycle. Based  results of data analysis it can be concluded that an increase in student activity, the activity of the teacher in the learning process and the increasing ability of understanding mathematical concepts students each cycle.Keywords:understanding the concept, make a match

Abstract

This study aims to determine whether the Snowball Throwing learning model can improve students' cognitive learning outcomes in quadrilateral and triangle material class VII A of Middle School 3 Kepahiang. The type of research used in this study is class action research the model of Kurt Lewin through four stages, namely: planning, action, observation and reflection. The research subjects were all students of class VII A of SMP 3 Kepahiang consisting of 26 students. This research was conducted from january 23 to February 13, 2019. Data collection techniques in this study were observations and tests, with research instruments observation sheets and test sheets. Data analysis techniques in this study used descriptive statistics, namely by percentage. Based on the observation sheet, the teacher's activity in the third cycle of teacher activity is classified as a good criterion and, every aspect has been in sufficient complexity. Based on the results of the evaluation test in Cycle III classical completeness was . Based on the results of the third cycle that has met the indicators of success, the research was stopped. Thus it can be concluded that the application of the Snowball Throwing learning model is well implemented and can improve students' cognitive learning outcomes in quadrilateral and triangular material in class VII AKepahiang 3 Public Middle School.Keywords: Snowball Throwing, Cognitive Learning Outcomes

Abstract

This study aims to find out the significant differences between students' mathematical understanding abilities that are taught using the Cooperative Learning Model type Auditory Intellectualy Receptition (AIR), Numbered Heads Together (NHT), and conventional learning models, and which learning model gives better results to improve students' mathematical understanding abilities. This type of research is quasi-experimental. The population in this study was class VIII 27 of Seluma State Junior High School consisting of 4 classes. The sample of this study was chosen 3 classes randomly, namely class VIII A as the experimental class I using the Cooperative learning model type Auditory Intellectualy Receptition (AIR), class VIII B as the experimental class II using the cooperative learning model type Numbered Heads Together (NHT), and Class VIII C as a control class using conventional learning models. Data collection on student mathematics learning outcomes in the form of tests consisting of pre-test and post-test. Data were analyzed using ANAVA and BNT. Based on ANAVA results, there are differences between students' mathematics learning outcomes in experimental class I, experimental class II, and control class. Based on the LSD test it was found that the treatment between the experimental class I with the experimental class II, the experimental class I with the control class, and the experimental class II with the control class there were differences. Auditory IntellectualyReceptition (AIR) cooperative learning model provides better results than the Numbered Heads Together (NHT) type of cooperative learning model and Conventional learning model.Keywords: mathematical understanding ability,  AIR,  NHT, learning model

Abstract

AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan produk berupa soal-soal open ended berorientasi pada kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematis siswa yang valid dan praktis. Metode yang digunakan ialah metode research and development dengan model Tessmer yang digunakan terdiri dari preliminary, self evaluation, expert review dan one-to-one. Subjek penelitian ini berjumlah 6 orang siswa kelas VII. Penelitian ini menggunakan instrumen berupa lembar validasi dari hasil komentar validator dan lembar kepraktisan dari hasil komentar siswa. Kevalidan soal dari hasil penilaian validator pada lembar validasi yang menyatakan soal-soal open ended yang dikembangkan dengan baik  berdasarkan konten, konstruksi dan bahasa. Kepraktisan dilihat dari hasil one-to-one dan angket respon siswa dengan hasil kepraktisan pada soal nomor 1 sampai 10 tergolong Praktis dan Sangat Praktis. Hasil penelitian pengembangan ini menghasilkan 10 butir soal telah melalui tahap  expert review dan one-to-one.Kata kunci: open ended, berpikir kreatif. AbstractThis study aims to produce products in the form of open-ended questions oriented to students' mathematical creative thinking skills that are valid and practical. This study uses an instrument in the form of a validation sheet from the validator's comments and a practicality sheet from the results of student comments. The validity of the questions from the results of the validator's assessment on the validation sheet which states well-developed open-ended questions based on content, construction and language. Practicality is seen from the results of one-to-one and student response questionnaires with practicality results in questions number 1 to 10 classified as Practical and Very Practical. The results of the development research resulted in 10 items that had gone through the expert review and one-to-one stages.Keywords: open ended, creative thinking.

Abstract

Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan aktivitas dan kemampuan pemecahan masalah dengan menerapkan model pembelajaran problem basedlearning. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui lembar observasi aktivitas dan lembar tes. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas X SMKN 05 Bengkulu Utara semester ganjil tahun ajaran 2020/2021 berjumlah 27 siswa. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa penerapan model problem basedlearning dapat meningkatkan aktivitas belajar dan kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa. Peningkatan aktivitas belajar siswa dapat di lihat dari nilai hasil observasi aktivitas belajar siswa sikus I pada sesi pertama dan kedua, siklus II pada sesi pertama dan kedua  secara berturut-turut adalah 18.5 (cukup aktif) dan 17.5 (cukup aktif), 24.5 (baik) dan 24 (baik). Peningkatan kemampuan pemecahan masalah pada pemebelajaran matematika siswa dapat dilihat dari nilai rata-rata tingkat kemampuan pemecahan masalah pada siklus I dan siklus II secara berturut-turut adalah 58.19 (TKPM rendah) dan 72.22 (TKPM sedang) serta ketuntasan belajar siswa siklus I dan siklus II secara berturut-turut 44.44% (belum tuntas) dan 85.19 (tuntas). Berdasarkan penelitian di atas, model problem basedlearning ini dapat meningkatkan aktivitas belajar dan kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa. Thisre searchis class room action research (PTK) with data collection techni ques through activity observation sheets and cycle tests heets. The subjects of this study were students of class X SMKN 05 Bengkulu Utara intheodd semester of the 2020/2021 academic year totaling 27 students. The results of this study in dicatethatthe application of the Problem Based Learning model canimprove learning activities and students' problem solving abilities. The increasein student learning activities can beseen from there sults of observations of student learning activities in cycle I in the firs tand second sessions, cycle II in the firs tand second sessions respectively are 18.5 (Quite Active) and 17.5 (Quite Active), 24.5 (Good) and 24 (good). The in crease in the problem-solving ability of students' mathematics learning span can beseen from the aver age value of the problem-solving ability level incycle I andcycle II, respectively, whichis 58.19 (Low TKPM) and 72.22 (Medium TKPM) as well as student learning completenessin cycle I and cycle II respectively 44.44% (Unfinished) and 85.19 (Completed).
