Abstract

The rule of Harun Al-Rashid is known as the Islamic Golden Age. In this era, Islam experienced a vast development in economy, politics, social, and even education. The most prominent contribution Harun Al-Rashid made, which brought his name to become famous, was his deep interest and concern for Islamic knowledge and civilization to a degree that had never been accomplished before. In education, Harun Al-Rashid is known for the legendary library Bayt al-Hikmah, the biggest of its type in his era. Besides this phenomenal achievement, other institutions built and supported the educational field during Harun Al-Rashid's rule. These institutions were funded by the government; furthermore, the methods applied were quite interesting for the current modern life. Therefore, it can be concluded that Islamic education institution experienced a vast development during the ruling of Harun Al-Rashid compared to previous phases. Abstract

Poverty is not welcome in all types of society. There are many efforts made to overcome this issue. Nevertheless, Muhammad Yunus has made inspirational efforts. His efforts to overcome poverty issues in Bangladesh have escorted him to receive the Nobel award. His model in overcoming the issue by establishing Grameen Bank for the poor has become a role model worldwide, including Indonesia. According to Islamic regulation, bank interest applied by the Grameen Bank is not against Islamic regulation (riba) since the interest will be distributed to its customers. Poverty has become a significant issue for Indonesia and other poor and developing countries worldwide. Therefore, the adaptation of the Grameen Bank model to overcome poverty issues in Indonesia is in urgent demand. There are three may key to adopt the Grameen Bank concept according to the Indonesian context. The first key is to give priority to women for economic development. This policy is that women are less selfish and have more concern towards their children and family. The second key is to establish a group of creditors. This group is expected to encourage each other to repay the loan and support each other under hardship. The third key is to provide unsecured debt. This type of loan is the answer to help the poor to improve their condition. Adequate capital provision will enable the poor to improve their creativity; they can develop their business and improve life quality.

Abstract

Pernikahan sirri, atau yang biasa juga disebut pernikahan bawah tangan, adalah pernikahan yang dilakukan secara diam-diam atau tersembunyi (secret marriage) tanpa diketahui atau tercatat di lembaga negara. Sedangkan pernikahan dengan menggunakan akad Madzhab Hanafi, ialah pernikahan dengan ketentuan syarat dan rukun yang ditentukan oleh Madzhab Hanafi. Perbedaan paling mencolok dibanding dengan madzhab lain adalah tentang kebolehan bagi perempuan untuk menikahkan dirinya sendiri tanpa adanya wali. Pernikahan jenis ini yang kemudian banyak terjadi di kalangan mahasiswa. Pernikahan sirri dengan menggunakan madzhab Hanafi telah banyak dilakukan oleh mahasiswa kota Malang dengan dalih untuk menghindari zina dan seks bebas. Pernikahan jenis ini terjadi tanpa sepengetahuan wali dan orangttua masing-masing mempelai. Setelah menikah, pola hubungan suami-istri ini nambah biasa dan berjalan sama seperti sebelum terjadi pernikahan, kecuali masalah hubungan intim yang dilakukan secara rutin dan tersembunyi di rumah kost. Nafkah juga tidak menjadi tuntutan bagi suami, namun istri harus siap jika dipanggil untuk melakukan kewajiban ‘badaniyah’. Sayangnya, beberapa informan justru menggunakan pernikahan ini sebagai legitimasi hukum Islam atas petualangan seksual dan rasa penasaran jiwa remaja mereka. Salah satu contoh adalah adanya poligami dan perceraian yang terjadi dengan alasan yang sebenarnya tidak mendesak untuk dipenuhi. Sejujurnya, menurut peneliti, pernikahan ini terjadi justru dengan mengesampingkan makna agung dari pernikahan itu sendiri dan hanya berfungsi sebagai legalitas dalam menghindari dosa akibat zina Kata Kunci: Pernikahan Sirri, Madzhab Hanafi, Seks Pranikah
