Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh interaksi edukatif dosen dengan mahasiswa dalam pembangunan karakter atau budi pekerti mahasiswa melalui kegiatan perkuliahan di FIS Unimed Medan. Selain itu, penelitian ini juga diharapkan dapat menjadi bahan kajian bagi lembaga atau instansi terkait untuk selanjutnya dapat mengambil langkah-langkah konkrit untuk peningkatan kualitas dan intensitas pembinaan karakter atau budi perkerti mahasiswa dalam rangka membangun karakter bangsa Indonesia. Untuk mencapai tujuan penelitian di atas maka dalam penelitian ini digunakan pendekatan diskriptif kualitatif penulis berinteraksi secara aktif dalam proses pengumpulan data. Peneliti akan menggunakan intuisi dan merumuskan pertanyaan-pertanyaan dan melakukan pengamatan secara cermat. Untuk memahami makna perilaku dosen-dosen dan mahasiswa dalam berinteraksi peneliti akan melibatkan diri secara langsung dalam situasi sosial. Berdasarkan karakteristik pendekatan kualitatif, peneliti akan mengungkapkan makna dibalik suatu fenomena yang terjadi di FIS Unimed Medan khususnya fenomena yang berkaitan dengan interaksi edukatif dosen dengan mahasiswa dalam rangka pembinaan karakter atau budi pekerti mahasiswa. Hasil akhir dari penelitian ini adalah peningkatan pembangunan karakter mahasiswa dalam hal ini adalah karakter atau budi pekerti mahasiswa melalui interaksi edukatif dosen di dalam proses pembelajaran di Fakultas Ilmu Sosial Unimed. Hasil penelitian ini menujukkan bahwa karakter mahasiswa FIS Unimed dalam perkuliahan telah menunjukkan karakter yang baik hal tersebut terlihat dari indikator religi, toleransi, disiplin, tanggung jawab, peduli, hormat dan jujur.

Abstract

This research aims to indentify the potency and suitability of land for cropping corn, and considering suitability of given input with limiting factors. The research have taken place since May to October 2006 in Saentis Village, District of Percut Sei Tuan. It focus on three types of land such as Alluvial, Regosol, and Organosol which are placed on 4 metres above sea level. By using method of des-criptive survey and sampling of the three land types, resulting that there is a tight significant relation between characteristic of land and production of corn. On the type of S3 m Alluvial with 33 of land index, including marginal suitable with middle level of limiting factors, at KTK, N total and P is available. Through giving urea and TSP, and adding organic materials, there was a shifting of class to S2 m which is marginal suitable with middle limiting. On the Regosol type of land, class of suitability of land categorized S3 m and 34 index of land, categorized marginal suitable with middle level of limiting factors, N total, and P is available. With adding anor-ganinc and organic materials, there was elevating one class to suitability level became S2 m (suitable). On type of Organosol, suitabi-lity of land categorized S2 and 74 of land index, categorized suitable with one limiting factor of availability of P, but if adding anor-ganic material added, suitability of land can be increase to one level become S1 (most suitable).

Abstract

Various digital-based learning media strongly support the quality of online learning. Digital media is essential in the learning process because it can package the material into more contextual, interesting audiovisual, reduces verbalism, and is more interactive. The primary purpose of this research was to measure the differences in digital literacy by comparing the digital learning media and PowerPoint media in online learning. The design of this study was a pretest-posttest group with a quasi-experimental method. Overall, 56 students in a senior high school in Senior High School 2 Percut Sei Tuan, Medan City,  Sumatera Utara Province, served as participants in this study. Data were collected by questionnaires and structured interviews for digital literacy. Data analyses were mixed with the quantitative and qualitative methods. Quantitative data were analyzed statistically through independent samples t-test, and qualitative data were analyzed descriptively. Digital literacy data were analyzed using SPSS version 24 software. The results showed that the students' digital literacy using digital learning media was superior to those prepared using PowerPoint. Based on each aspect of digital literacy, namely, internet searching, understanding, and utilizing digital devices, hypertextual navigation, content evaluation, creating digital content, and communicating information, there were significant differences between groups on digital literacy competencies. Abstract

Mangroves are coastal ecosystems that are rich in diversity of flora and fauna. Mangroves have an important role in coastal areas in terms of ecology, biology, and economy. However, mangrove management has not balanced these three aspects and tends to be exploited for economic purposes. The purpose of this study was to map the distribution of mangroves, identify changes and zoning of mangroves in the Percut Sei Tuan subdistrict. The method used in this research is a survey method. Collecting data from Landsat Multitemporal images in 2017 and 2021 as well as field data through observation. Data analysis was performed using Envi and Arc GIS software. The results showed that the distribution of mangroves was found along the coast of Percut Sei Tuan District. The decline in mangrove ecosystems occurred in the period 2017 and 2021. Mangrove zoning in this area is in accordance with other mangrove zoning in Indonesia, which consists of open mangroves, transitional mangroves, brackish mangroves, and mangroves close to the mainland. The diversity of mangrove species in the form of true mangroves and associated mangroves was also found on the coast of Percut Sei Tuan District.

Abstract

Mastery of learning technology by teachers is highly necessary for the digital era. For example, the ability of teachers to package learning materials using various software in various formats. One form of presenting learning materials with technology is an e-module. E-modules serve as the main teaching material in online learning and can also be used in face-to-face learning. The purpose of this study was to develop an -module, evaluate its feasibility and analyze its effect on motivation, self-regulation and learning outcomes in online learning. This research used the ADDIE model and then continued with a quasi-experimental research design with two pretest-posttest groups. The subjects of this study were students who participated in the Geography Learning Planning course. Class A (control group) and Class C (experimental group) students each consisted of 20 people. Data was collected through questionnaires and tests. The data analysis used is descriptive statistics and inferential statistics. The statistical tests carried out were t-test and ANCOVA by using SPSS version 24 software. The results showed that the e-module developed was very feasible and the application of the e-module in online learning was significantly increased self-regulation, motivation, and learning outcomes.
