Abstract

Padjadjaran University (UNPAD) Jatinangor is currently conducting green Campus program. To support the program, a study of biota living in it, as one of the benchmarks of good or bad environmental conditions, is needed. The green space of Jatinangor Campus is divided into two clusters namely Cluster I green space (Campus Forest) and green space Cluster II (Campus Non Forest). The objective of the research was to know the relationship between diversity of birds with diversity of plants in the green space of Cluster I (Campus Forest) and Cluster II (Campus Non Forest) UNPAD Campus Jatinangor as one of the parameters of successful development of green Campus. This research is descriptive-explorative with census method on bird species and plant composition from green spaces of Cluster I (Campus Forest) and Cluste II (Campus Non Forest) Campus UNPAD Jatinangor. From the observations in Cluster I, we identified 46 species of birds and 77 species of plants, whereas in Cluster II, we identified 32 species of birds and 74 types of plants. The number of bird species is directly proportional to the number of plant species from Cluster I and Cluster II green spaces. From this study it was concluded that the diversity of tree species supports the diversity of bird species.

Abstract

Bigeye tuna (Thunnus obesus) and Yellowfin tuna (Thunnus albacares) are a marine commodity that has high nutritional content and economic value in the market. However, based on data from Palabuhanratu Archipelago Fishing Port, there has been a high decrease in the catch of Bigeye tuna and Yellowfin tuna since 2016 although slightly increased in the following year, so it is necessary to analyze the size trends of them as a target fish of many fishermen at the port. The purpose of this study is to determine the size trend of Bigeye and Yellowfin tuna for the next few years and to determine the steps to maintain their sustainability. The method used in this research is a case study and analyzed using regression analysis. The results showed that the size trend of Bigeye tuna and Yellowfin tuna catch until 2022 will tend to decline. This indicates the occurrence of overfishing so that it does not provide opportunities for fish to grow and develop. Therefore, catch control efforts are needed to maintain the sustainability of fish stocks.

Abstract

ABSTRACTThe study distribution and population of lutung(Trachypithecus auratus sondaicus) in Pangandaran NaturalRecreational Park (TWAP) was conducted in January 2001through census method.  Broad inventory observation wasapplied to identified plant community and dominant plantspecies. There are 12 lutung groups and evenly distributed  in 37,7 ha area of TWAP,  thus the  density  of  lutung  is rangebetween 35-36 groups/km2. Population average on groups as13,1-13,5, 20-21 are maximized and  5-6 are minimizingpopulation.  Composition  of  sex  ratio  average  on  eachgroup  was  1,9 adult  male/group,  6,9-7,5 adult female/group,  2 subadult/group,   2,7-3,2 young/group and1 infant/group. Lutung habitat on TWAP were secondaryforest, with dominance vegetation are laban (Vitexpubescens), kisegel (Dillenia exelsa) and marong(Cratoxylum formosum), nyamplung (Callophylluminophylum), ketapang (Terminalia catappa), waru (Hibiiscustiliaceus) and butun (Barringtonia asiatica). Recorded 40 of 60species have 1 % frequency index were lutung food.  Duringthe studies  members  splitter  recorded  from  their  group, like A, B and C groups  to  A1-1, A1-2, B1, B2, C2-1 and C2-2.  Average  of  territory area  of all groups were 2,78 ha, 6,67ha are maximized and 2,78 ha are minimized.Keyword :Lutung, distribution, homerange, population, PananjungPangandaran Nature Reserve.

Abstract

Tingginya faktor antropogenik akan berdampak pada keanekaragaman hayati, sehingga perlu dilakukan pengelolaan danpembangunan yang berwawasan lingkungan. Gambaran struktur dan komposisi vegetasi di suatu wilayah dapat menjadiinformasi dasar dalam pengelolaan lingkungan. Tujuan studi ini dilakukan untuk memberikan gambaran mengenaikondisi struktur dan komposisi vegetasi di unit PLTP Gunung Salak, Jawa Barat.Pengumpulan data kualitatif dilakukandengan inventarisasi jenis-jenis tumbuhan, sedangkan data kuantitatif didapatkan melalui metode kuadrat. Komposisitumbuhan di kawasan unit PLTP Gunung Salak diketahui sebanyak 120 jenis dari 56 famili. Moraceae ditemukan palingbanyak dengan jumlah 11 spesies. Sebagian besar tersusun oleh stratifikasi A, B, C, D, dan E. Nilai indeks kesamaantertinggi berada pada ekosistem hutan alam-1 dan riparian sebesar 100%. Nilai keanekaragaman tertinggi berada padaekosistem ekoton pada kategori anakan (4,74), lalu diikuti dengan ekosistem hutan alam-1 pada kategori anakan (3,77),riparian pada kategori anakan (3,66), dan hutan alam-3 pada kategori pancang (3,03).

Abstract

Kehadiran burung dapat menggambarkan kondisi suatu lingkungan. Burung memiliki peran dan indikator masing-masing di lingkungannya yang mempengaruhi keberlanjutan suatu ekosistem. Tujuan studi ini adalah untuk (a) mengkaji keanekaragaman jenis burung di kawasan non-konservasi Cisokan dan (b) mengkaji status konservasi jenis-jenis burung yang tercatat di kawasan non-konservasi, Cisokan. Metode penelitian menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data lapangan dengan mencatat jenis-jenis burung pada suatu transek dan point count. Hasil studi menunjukkan bahwa 88 jenis dari 34 famili burung telah tercatat di kawasan Cisokan. Diantara 88 jenis tersebut, 11 jenis di antaranya termasuk kategori dilindungi oleh undang-undang. Berdasarkan IUCN, dari berbagai jenis burung yang ditemukan, Elang Jawa termasuk status perlindungan tertinggi (Endangered), empat jenis dengan status Near Threatened, dan 81 jenis dengan status Least Concern. Berdasarkan CITES, sepuluh jenis termasuk status Appendix II. Sementara itu, berdasarkan endemisitas, enam jenis burung merupakan endemik Pulau Jawa, tujuh jenis merupakan endemik Pulau Jawa dan Bali, dua jenis merupakan endemik Sumatra, Jawa, dan Bali, dan satu jenis merupakan endemik Sumatra, Kalimantan, Jawa, dan Bali. Sebagai kawasan non-konservasi, jenis-jenis burung ditemukan cukup beragam di mana beberapa jenis memiliki status konservasi tinggi, disamping adanya pembangunan PLTA, sehingga perlu dilakukan pemantauan jenis burung di Cisokan.

Abstract

Abstract. Community can participate in waste management through reducing waste,sorting waste, disposing of waste in its place, and reuse. This study aimed todetermine community participation and factors influencing community participationin waste management, Cinunuk Village. Quantitative and qualitative methods wereapplied in this study, using a questionnaire, literature study, and direct observation.Respondents were determined by proportional random sampling. Discriminantanalysis was applied in this study. The results show that reuse activities are stillchallenging to do in a village environment to minimize waste generation volume.The entire community has participated in every type of waste management activity.Where on average, the community actively participates in waste disposal activities(55%). Meanwhile, in reduce, waste sorting and reuse activities, participation tendsto be passive. The factors that distinguish the formation of active and passivecommunity participation in Cinunuk Village are perception, experience,communication, and facilities. The classification of participation inoowastemanagement activities produces different factors.Keywords: Community Participation, Waste, Waste ManagementAbstrak. Masyarakat dapat berpartisipasi dalam pengelolaan sampah melaluikegiatan reduce, memilah sampah, membuang sampah pada tempatnya, dan reuse.Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui partisipasi masyarakat danfaktor yang berpengaruh terhadap partisipasi masyarakat dalam pengelolaansampah di Desa Cinunuk. Metode kuantitatif dan kualitatif diaplikasikan pada studiini, menggunakan kuesioner, studi literatur, dan observasi langsung. Pemilihanresponden dilakukan secara proporsional random sampling. Analisis diskriminandiaplikasikan pada studi ini. Hasil menunjukan bahwa kegiatan reuse masih sulitdilakukan di lingkungan desa untuk meminimalisasi volume timbulan sampah.Seluruh masyarakat telah berpatisipasi dalam setiap jenis kegiatan pengelolaansampah. Dimana rata-rata masyarakat berpartisipasi aktif dalam kegiatanmembuang sampah (55%). Sedangkan pada kegiatan reduce, memilah sampah dankegiatan reuse, partisipasi masih cenderung pasif. Faktor yang membedakanterbentuknya partisipasi masyarakat secara aktif dan pasif dalam pengelolaansampah di Desa Cinunuk adalah faktor persepsi, pengalaman, komunikasi dansarana. Klasifikasi partisipasi masyarakat dalam kegiatan pengelolaan sampahmenghasilkan faktor yang berbeda.Kata Kunci: Cinunuk, Partisipasi Masyarakat, Pengelolaan Sampah

Abstract

Sistem agroforestri melalui pengembangan budi daya kopi menjamin kelangsungan struktur dan proses ekologi di dalamnya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui jenis dan bentuk layanan ekosistem pada sistem agroforestri berbasis kopi di Desa Cisero, serta mengungkap pengetahuan masyarakat. Penelitian menggunakan metode campuran, yaitu metode kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa jenis layanan ekosistem yang tersedia pada sistem agroforestri berbasis kopi di Desa Cisero meliputi jasa penyediaan, pengaturan, pendukung dan kultural. Pengetahuan masyarakat Desa Cisero terhadap layanan ekosistem adalah baik (skor rata-rata 74,86). Masyarakat memiliki pengetahuan sangat baik terkait jasa penyediaan (skor rata-rata 91,46), layanan ekosistem dari pohon penaung berupa jasa pengaturan (skor rata-rata 78,66=baik) dan layanan ekosistem dari keberadaan hidupan liar (skor rata-rata 65,65=baik). Adapun faktor yang berpengaruh cukup kuat terhadap peningkatan pengetahuan masyarakat diantaranya luas lahan garapan, lama interaksi dengan tata guna lahan dan sharing pengetahuan dengan keluarga serta kelompok tani (LMDH). Untuk memelihara layanan ekosistem di Desa Cisero, maka strategi yang dapat direkomendasikan meliputi penaatan kebijakan kerjasama budi daya kopi (monitoring, pengawasan, evaluasi dan penegakan hukum), pengaktifan kembali koperasi petani dan fasilitasi bantuan modal, mempertimbangkan pengetahuan ekologi lokal dalam perumusan rencana program dan kegiatan budi daya kopi serta pendokumentasian dan pengorganisasian data yang baik.
