Abstract

In essence, the orientation of the 2013 curriculum is an increase and balance between attitudes, skills, and cognitive competencies. However, the current learning process is generally teacher-centered. so that through the use of a learning model that is following the 2013 curriculum it is expected to be able to make the learning process student-centered. This research was conducted at SMA Negeri 8 Muaro Jambi on students of class X IPA 3 which aims to determine student responses when given a Problem-Based Learning model during the physics learning process. This research uses a mixed-method with an explanatory sequential design that combines quantitative and qualitative research systematically. Quantitative data in the form of a questionnaire student responses to problem-based learning model consisting of 20 statements and qualitative data in the form of interviews with students. Based on the results of the study it was found that the level of student response to the learning model was categorized quite well with a percentage of 56.5%. Based on the results of the study, it was found that the use of problem-based learning models in learning physics can increase student activity and improve student skills. This can be proven by seeing the students' responses in quite a good category. Through problem-based learning model students also feel responsible for formulating, analyzing, and solving problems. So that learning physics is more meaningful for students.

Abstract

The model of learning is one of the approaches of strategy that teachers must carry out in a systematic and procedural to regulate the activities of learning to achieve the goal of learning. The process of learning by using a model of learning inquiry can increase the activity of the students, the courage of students in revealing ideas and ideas, and improve students' science process skills in the physics learning process. The purpose of the research is to know how students' response to models of learning of inquiry was used at the time of learning physics and see whether the application of the model the students are more skilled in learning. Research is conducted in SMA Negeri 8 Muaro Jambi on student grade X IPA 1, which aims to determine students' response when given an inquiry learning model during the process of learning physics. The instrument that is used is a questionnaire of students with a sample of 21 students. This study used a mixed-method with a sequential explanatory design. The descriptive statistics were employed in the data analysis technique to obtain the average, mode, median, minimum, and maximum values. Based on the findings of this study, it is possible to conclude that using inquiry learning models in physics learning can boost student activity, independence, and science skills. This is demonstrated by the students' responses in quite good categories. Students feel accountable for formulating, analyzing, and solving problems when using the inquiry learning methodology. So that students can learn physics in a more meaningful way, and the material is easier to retain. The student response rate to the learning model is rated as satisfactory.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to identify how students' attitudes at SMPN 6 Batanghari toward science subjectby using two indicators, namely: the social implications of science and interest in increasing the time of science learning. This research used a quantitative approach with a survey method and the instrument was an attitude questionnaire. The samplein this study was 143 students at SMPN 6 Batanghari. Data analysis in this study used descriptive statistics. The results obtained showed that the attitudes of students in SMPN 6 Batanghari on the indicator of attitude of interest in increasing the amount of time for learning science can be said to be quite good, and for attitudes the social implications of science can also be said to be good. From the overall results of the data, there were many factors that influence the positive or negative attitudes of students in the science learning process. Thus, the teacher must be able to foster more students’ attitudes in science subject so that students have a positive attitude and can achieve better performance and can provide insight and knowledge to teachers related to student attitudes in the science learning process so that they are able to assist teachers in making lesson plans, methods, models and strategies that fit to the characteristics of students’ attitudes.

Abstract

Tujuan Penelitian: Mendeskripsikan tanggung jawab siswa di SMP Adhyaksa 1 kota jambi berdasarkan indikator tanggung jawab terhadap tata tertib dan tanggung jawab terhadap peraturan. Metodologi: Penelitian ini termasuk kedalam penelitian explanatory desain. Data kuantitatif diperoleh menggunakan angket dan data kualitatif diperoleh menggunakan lembar wawancara. Subjek dari penelitian ini berjumlah 116 siswa yang berasal dari SMP Adhyaksa 1 Kota Jambi. Temuan utama: Dari penelitian yang telah dilakukan didaptkan hasil bahwa peserta didik di SMP Adhyaksa 1 Kota Jambi memiliki karakter tanggung jawab yang baik dalam bertanggung jawab terhadap tata tertib dan peraturan. Keterbaruan penelitian: Keterbaruan pada penelitian ini dlihat dari segi indicator yang digunakan selama peneitian.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian: Membuat dan menguji modul pembelajaran fisika pokok bahasan pengukuran. Metodologi: Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian dan pengembangan dengan model pengembangan ADDIE. Uji coba dilakukan melalui validasi ahli media, ahli materi dan uji kelompok kecil. Sample terdiri dari 20 siswa di kelas X SMAN 8 Kota Jambi. Instrumen yang digunakan ialah angket. Temuan utama: Hasil analisis data menyatakan bahwa persepsi siswa tentang program pembelajaran fisika berbasis Aurora 3D pada materi pokok bahasan pengukuran untuk SMA kelas X untuk persepsi siswa tentang kriteria tampilan program masuk dalam kategori baik (83,33%), persepsi siswa tentang kesesuaian program dengan bahan ajar fisika masuk dalam kategori baik (85,42%), dan persepsi siswa tentang kualitas teknis temasuk dalam kategori baik (84,27%) Keterbaruan penelitian: Penguatan penggunaan pengembangan modul untuk materi fisika pokok bahasan Pengukuran.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan karakter peserta didik, terutama karakter bersahabat pada peserta didik kelas VII dan VIII SMPN 16 Kota Jambi. Metodologi: Pendekatan penelitian yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kuantitatif deskriptif. Sedangkan jenis penelitian yang digunakan yaitu jenis penelitian survei dengan instrumen penelitian berupa angket. Subjek penelitian ini adalah peserta didik kelas VII G, VII H, VII I, VIII I dan VIII J dengan jumlah siswa sebanyak 153 siswa. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis regresi ganda menggunakan bantuan komputer dengan menggunakan Program Analisis Regresi SPSS Statistik 20. Pada penelitian ini mendeskripsikan hanya 2 indikator yaitu : dapat bekerja sama dan perhatian terhadap orang lain. Temuan utama: Berdasarkan hasil diperoleh bahwa peserta didik di SMPN 16 Kota Jambi sebanyak 78 dari 153 peserta didik dengan persentasi 51% dapat menerapkan indikator bekerja sama dengan baik dan sebanyak 56 dari 153 peserta didik dengan persentasi 56,9% dapat menerapkan indikator perhatian terhadap orang lain dengan baik. Keterbaruan penelitian: Keterbaharuan penelitian ini mendeskripsikan kerjasama dan perhatian siswa terhadap teman kelas.

Abstract

Purpose of Study: The purpose of this study was to determine the disciplinary attitude of students in learning physics. Methodology: The sample used in this study were 31 students, taken from 1 class, namely XI MIPA 3. This type of research is survey research and the instrument used is an attitude questionnaire. The data analysis in this study used descriptive statistics. Finding: The results obtained showed that the discipline attitude of learning physics students was dominant good, namely 74.2% 23 students from 31 students. From the disciplinary attitude itself, the fact is that the quality of student learning is better and also students who have a high disciplinary attitude in learning physics must have different behavior and patterns of thought. Novelty this Research: The general attitude towards reading is an indicator that shows how positive students think about various things about reading in general. This indicator will be measured by researchers to determine whether or not reading is good for students.

Abstract

There are still many students who have difficulty in learning physics subjects. This affects students' low physics learning outcomes. The purpose of this study is to analyze the problem-based learning model of physics. This type of research is classroom action research. This research was carried out in 2 cycles consisting of planning, implementing actions, observing, and reflecting. The test subjects were 15 students. The methods used to collect data are observation, interviews, questionnaires and tests. The instrument used to collect data is a questionnaire. The technique used to analyze the data is descriptive qualitative and quantitative analysis. The results of the study, namely the results of the study showed that in the first cycle the learning outcomes of students were 55%. While the second cycle of student learning outcomes of 80%. From these results, it can be concluded that physics learning outcomes can be improved through problem-based learning models. The implication of this research is that the problem-based learning model can be used by teachers in improving students' attitudes in learning.

Abstract

Research Objectives: This study aims to see students' responses using a simulation model while studying physics at SMAN 1 Muaro Jambi. Methodology: This type of research is Mixed Methods in quantitative methods using student response questionnaires, and qualitative methods using interview instruments. The research subjects were 29 students from one class X MIA 5. Quantitative data analysis techniques used descriptive statistics. Main Findings: The results of the analysis obtained from student responses using simulation models in physics subjects, namely, have a good response in using simulation models. Novelty/Original Research: Choosing a good learning model will affect students' attitudes during class hours, if the learning model makes students enthusiastically active, the learning process will be productive. In the physics subject, students' responses using the direct instruction model can be said that students do not understand the concepts and formulas described by the teacher.
