Abstract

Abstract This research aimed at knowing the level of validity and practicality students workbook SETS (Science, Environment, Technology and Society) Based on Colloid Lesson. It was a Research and Development (R&D) Method with 4-D Model. It was administered at State Senior High School 1 East Kampar. Subject of this research were Media design expert, Learning material expert, Chemistry teacher and Fifteenth studenst. Object of this research were SETS (Science, Environment, Technology and Society) Based on Colloid Lesson. the Instrument of collecting the data were questionnaire of validity test by the experts and questionnaire of practicality test by taecher and students. student workbook was appropriate, if it was valid and practice aspect qualify.The validity and practicality could be seen from the result of validity and practicality using sheet of validity and practicalisation. student workbook resulting was tested with the validity level was 88.125% (Very valid)and practice was 90.4% (Very practice). The research result indentify that Student Workbook was tested, it appropriate to be an additional teaching teacher at school. Keywords : Student Workbook, SETS, Colloid

Abstract

This research was instigated by the low of learning media integrating with the other sciences. It aimed at designing a print mediaintegrating chemistry science with other sciences on Chemistry subject, then it would be tested its validity by the experts of media and material and its practicality to Chemistry subject teachers, and it would be tested to the students. In this research, Chemistry instructional media in the form of Testing Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) basedtextbook was designed by using Microsoft Word software. The final product result was a valid instructional media. It was a Research and Development (R&D) with Borg and Gall modification model, and it was administered at State Senior High School Plus Riau Province. Techniques of collecting the data were interview, questionnaire, and documentation. STEM based textbook that was designed gained 96.1% validity percentage, and it meant that the textbook was stated very valid. The percentage of textbook practicality was 90.45%, it was stated very practical and the textbook got good student response that its percentage was 89.8%. Based on these findings, it could be concluded that Chemistry instructional media in the form of STEM based textbook on Acid Base lesson had been valid, practical, able to get good student responses.

Abstract

This research was instigated by unavailability of independent learning resource in the form of Android based instructional media at the school. This research aimed at knowing the validity and practicality levels of Android based instructional media that was valid and practical on Colloid lesson. It was Research and Development (R&D) with 4D development model. The subjects of this research were material and media experts, Chemistry subject teachers, 10 students at the eleventh grade of APHP 1. The object was Android based instructional media on Colloid lesson. The collected data were primary—the data were obtained directly from a questionnaire. Instruments of collecting the data were the questionnaires of validity test, practicality test, and student response. The obtained data then were analyzed by using qualitative and quantitative descriptive analysis techniques. The developed instructional media was tested, its validity level was 95.35% and it was on very valid category, its practicality level was 86.36% and it was on very practical category, and student response was 92.14% and it was on very practical category. Based on these results, it could be identified that Android based instructional media was appropriate and practical to be a learning resource at a school.
