Abstract

Inventory of finished goods needs to be planned and controlled regularly. Fulfilling customer demand whenever and wherever is the main purpose of the supply. This issue is related to production activities. Many companies use the Economic Production Quantity (EPQ) Model in determining the size of their lot productions. This model is able to show how to minimize total production costs by reducing inventory costs. Customer behavior at PT XYZ makes product delivery divided into 2 types. The first type, finished goods is sent continuously in small amounts called continue demand. The second type, products is sent between certain time intervals in large quantities called discrete demand. Basic EPQ Model’s parameters do not accommodate a system like this. In addition, PT XYZ requires rework for products that do not pass the quality test. Therefore, this research was developed to formulate EPQ model that can accommodate two types of demand, continue and discrete, as well as the existence of rework policy. This study tries to provide another approach in solving the derivation problem using the "Arithmetic-Geometric Mean" method. The results of this study will display a mathematical formulation to find the optimal production cycle time for PT XYZ. Numerical examples are discussed to show practical models.

Abstract

Bulk olein is one of the products produced by Palm Oil Processing Company. Bulk cooking oil controls 75 percent of the production market share in Indonesia and about 77.5 percent of households in Indonesia use bulk cooking oil because the price is cheaper than packaged cooking oil. Demand for olein in the future is predicted to be continued to increase, so it is necessary to estimate future sales so that production activities become more effective and efficient. The method used in this study is the double moving average (DMA), which is one of the forecasting methods with data that has a trend. The calculation will be done by comparing the result of 3 moving, 4 moving and 5 moving. Forecasting error is calculated using mean absolute percentage error (MAPE). The calculation results show that the average MAPE from DMA with 5 moving has the smallest value. To verify these results, an analysis of the processed data was carried out, namely looking for data with the furthest distance from the linear line, namely t3 data and t7 data. The data is omitted in data processing and then the MAPE error value is recalculated. The results obtained are that DMA with 3 moving results have the smallest error, which is 11.863 percent. For this reason, the chosen forecasting calculation is a double moving average with 3 moving.

Abstract

ABSTRAK                                                                        Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang model pada klaster industri hilir kelapa di Kabupaten Padang Pariaman dengan pendekatan sistem sehingga terbentuknya strukturisasi elemen sistem pengembangan klaster industri. Penelitian dilakukan dengan beberapa tahap. Tahap kesatu melakukan analisis potensi komoditas kelapa di Kabupaten Padang Pariaman dengan metode location quotient (LQ), Tahap kedua melakukan identifikasi melalui studi literatur dan wawancara dengan pakar berdasarkan indikator pada model diamond porter untuk mengetahui apakah komoditi kelapa punya potensi untuk dikembangkan menjadi sebuah klaster industri. Tahap ketiga menentukan jenis industri yang dapat dikembangkan dalam klaster industri hilir kelapa dengan menggunakan metode perbandingan eksponensial (MPE). Tahap keempat mengidentifikasi stakeholder yang terlibat dan bagaimana perannya di dalam klaster industri hilir kelapa dengan metoda deskriptif kualitatif.  Tahap kelima mendesain peta kluster industri hilir kelapa berdasarkan model diamond porter dengan menggunakan setiap elemen yang telah didefinisikan sebelumnya. hasil penelitian didapat nilai LQ sebesar 12,5 yang menyatakan bahwa klaster industri hilir kelapa berpotensi dikembangkan di Kabupaten Padang Pariaman. Berdasarkan perhitungan MPE terdapat 8 produk prioritas yaitu: virgin coconut oil, coco fiber, arang briket, coco peat, coco vinegar, desiccated coconut, kerajinan lidi dan daun kelapa, sari kelapa nata de coco. Kata Kunci:  Kelapa, Klaster Industri, Location Quotient, Diamond Porter, MPE ABSTRACT This study aims to design a model for the downstream coconut industry cluster in Padang Pariaman Regency with a systems approach so that the structural elements of the industrial cluster development system are formed. The research was conducted in several stages. The first stage is to analyze the potential of coconut commodities in Padang Pariaman Regency using the location quotient (LQ) method. The second stage is to identify through literature studies and interviews with experts based on indicators on the diamond porter model to determine whether coconut commodities have the potential to be developed into an industrial cluster. The third stage is to determine the type of industry that can be developed in the downstream coconut industry cluster using the exponential comparison method (MPE). The fourth stage identifies the stakeholders involved and their roles in the downstream coconut industry cluster using a qualitative descriptive method. The fifth stage is to design a coconut downstream industry cluster map based on the diamond porter model using each of the previously defined elements. The results of the study obtained an LQ value of 12.5 which states that the downstream coconut industry cluster has the potential to be developed in Padang Pariaman Regency. Based on the MPE calculation, there are 8 priority products, namely: virgin coconut oil, coco fiber, charcoal briquettes, coco peat, coco vinegar, desiccated coconut, craft sticks and coconut leaves, coconut juice nata de coco. Keywords: Coconut, Industrial Cluster, Location Quotient, Diamond Porter, MPE

Abstract

Abstrak. Cabai merah besar (Capsicum annum l.) salah satu produk pertanian hortikultura yang banyak diusahakan oleh petani. Sumatera Barat dengan konstribusinya sebesar 5,83% atau sebesar 58.064 ton per tahun menghasilkan sentra produksi cabai yang berasal dari beberapa daerah akan tetapi yang menghasilkan produksi cabai terbesar berada di Kabupaten Solok yaitu 19.325 ton. Namun ironisnya harga cabai sering mengalami fluktuasi yang tidak teratur. Suatu ketika cabai bisa mencapai harga yang sangat mahal, lalu harga akan sangat jatuh ketika panen melimpah. Beberapa petani bahkan sampai membuang cabai-cabai hasil panen yang masih bagus karena harga jual cabai pada panen raya sangat rendah. Untuk membantu para petani dalam mengatasi fluktuasi harga tersebut, perlu dilakukan upaya-upaya pemanfaatan cabai merah menjadi aneka produk melalui pengolahan cabai merah dalam bentuk bubuk dengan rasa original. Metode pelaksanaan yang dilakukan berupa penyuluhan kepada masyarakat tentang nilai kandungan gizi dan manfaat sari cabai dan mempraktekkan langsung pengolahan cabai menjadi bubuk cabai. Hasil dari kegiatan PKM ini masyarakat dapat mempraktekkan langsung pengolahan cabai menjadi bubuk cabai yang akan menjadikan peluang usaha yang baru bagi masyarakat.
