Abstract

Abstract. The research aims to get answers to whether chemistry learning with computer-based games as learning media can create fun learning (edutainment). The study was conducted on students in three high schools in chemistry learning according to plan, during the learning activities were observed by students, before and after learning the learning outcomes tests and student questionnaires were conducted. The results showed that learning activities were 90.4% to 92.0% as expected, 90% to 100% of students stated that learning was fun with games as learning media, and learning outcomes had achieved 93% to 100% classical completeness. These results indicate that the use of computer-propelled games as chemical learning media can create chemical learning that pleases students and can be used by teachers as an alternative to edutainment chemistry learning

Abstract

This study aimed to describe the implementation of the Spiritual Practice-Based Learning Approach to Metaphysics Meditation "He Ning Cipto" in the Cell-Level Life course to build the student's immune system during the covid-19 pandemic. This study involved three classes of 2018 class students with a total of 90 people. This quasi-experimental research uses a "one shot case study" as a research design where there is only a treatment class without control.   Data collection methods in this study include observation, tests and surveys in order to obtain data on the implementation of learning, mastery of concepts, meditation skills, and mental health. The results showed that the implementation of the learning carried out had fulfilled the syntax and obtained the dominant learning management assessment score mode of 4 from the total existing meetings. The learning outcomes test from 3 classes with 4 study topics (Cell Structure and Function, Cell Health Concepts, Body Immune System, Cipto Silent Meditation) in 7 meetings showed that students' mastery of concepts could be achieved maximally both individually and classically with a percentage of completeness of 95, 56%. Based on rewriting data and diaries, Cipto's Silent Meditation skills can be practiced well according to the recommended instructions and procedures. Students' rewriting scores ranged from 78 to 100, while for student diaries they received a minimum score of 80 and a maximum of 100. The questionnaire responses given showed high Mental Attitude Health (KSM) results of 96%, High Cell/Body Health (KST) of 86% and the Happiness Scale Index is in the high category (above 34, 4) with A level between 46-50 at 29%, Level B between 40-45 at 66% and C between 34-39 at 6%. Overall, it can be concluded that this research has helped students in learning and gaining an understanding of the concept of cell health and the immune system, as well as developing silent meditation skills, to build a strong immune system for students and actors in achieving a level of mental health and mental attitude. good dohir cells/body, and pure soul happiness is born as a result of a sense of faith, and evidence of obedience and gratitude to Allah SWT for all His blessings, then the practice of meditation has an impact as a form of self-protection from various kinds of diseases including the Covid-19 virus.

Abstract

Tujuan dari pengabdian ini adalah melakukan pendampingan diikuti workshop pada guru-guru IPA Madrasah Tsanawiyah (MTs) negeri dan swasta di Kota Probolinggo sebagai mitra dalam menyusun perangkat pembelajaran IPA Terpadu dan mengimplementasikannya di kelas. Pelaksanaan kegiatan pendampingan dan workshop yang telah dilakukan oleh tim pengabdian diperoleh beberapa luaran kegiatan antara lain : (1) tersusunnya analisis Kompetensi Dasar, analisis materi, analisis kegiatan, dan analisis soal, (2) tersusunnya instrumen telaah/validasi perangkat pembelajaran dan keterlaksanaan pembelajaran, (3) hasil telaah/validasi terhadap perangkat pembelajaran yang disusun oleh guru IPA pada sekolah mitra, (4) tersusunnya perangkat pembelajaran lengkap IPA yang disusun oleh guru IPA pada sekolah mitra yang terdiri atas rencana pelaksanaan pembelajaran (RPP), lembar kerja siswa (LKS), handout, dan soal, (5) hasil pengamatan keterlaksanaan pembelajaran simulasi 1 dan 2, dan (6) tersusunnya video pembelajaran. Skor rata-rata yang diperoleh untuk pengembangan perangkat pembelajaran oleh guru mitra adalah sebesar 3,1 untuk RPP, 2,9 untuk LKS, 3,0 untuk soal, dan 2,9 untuk handout. Besarnya skor rata-rata 2.9 sampai 3.1 berkategori layak dan dapat digunakan dengan sedikit revisi. Hasil implementasi pada uji coba pertama memperoleh nilai rata-rata sebesar 78 dan telah mengalami peningkatan pada implementasi uji coba kedua dengan nilai rata-rata sebesar 89. Telah pula dihasilkan video pembelajaran yang bagus dalam bentuk DVD untuk masing-masing guru mitra.

Abstract

Pemahaman dan pemantapan guru IPA Madrasah Tsanawiyah tentang pendekatan scientific dapat direalisasikan melalui Pelatihan alat KIT IPA Bagi Guru Madrasah Tsanawiyah (MTs) khususnya Kota Probolinggo dalam rangka pelaksanaan Kurikulum 2013. Berdasarkan kondisi pelatihan dan pendampingan ini, pertama adalah memberikan pengetahuan keterampilan penggunaan alat ukur panjang jangka sorong dan mikrometer skrup kepada guru IPA, dan kedua adalah memberikan pemahaman penguasaan alat ukur pada KIT IPA diharapkan mendukung pendekatan saintific pada pelaksanaan kurikulum 2013. Metode yang digunakan adalah memberikan pelatihan mengenai penggunaan dan penyajian hasil data pengukuran panjang dengan menggunakan jangka sorong dan mikrometer skrup melalui kegiatan percobaan secara berkelompok. Hasil dari pelatihan didapatkan bahwa guru memberikan respon positif terhadap kegiatan. Pelatihan ini merupakan kegiatan yang baru dan sangat mendukung proses pembelajaran selanjutnya. Kesimpulan dari kegiatan ini adalah ada peningkatan keterampilan menggunakan alat ukur pada KIT IPA khususnya alat ukur panjang jangka sorong dan mikrometer skrup pada guru-guru Madrasah Tsanawiyah Kota Probolinggo. Hal ini diindikasikan dari perbaikan penggunaan dan penyajian hasil pengukuran dan peningkatan pemahaman pendekatan scientific pada guru-guru Madrasah Tsanawiyah Kota Probolinggo melalui pelatihan alat ukur KIT IPA khususnya alat ukur panjang jangka sorong dan mikrometer skrup.

Abstract

Pengabdian yang dilakukan bertujuan membantu para guru IPA yang tergabung dalam MGMP Kota Probolinggo dalam penulisan karya tulis ilmiah khususnya dalam bentuk Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK). Penulisan PTK yang baik dapat diwadahi dengan media WAPIK. WAPIK merupakan suatu wadah multimedia interaktif berbasis internet yang memuat kumpulan praktik yang baik dalam pendidikan, dari tingkat pra-sekolah hingga perguruan tinggi (LPTK) pada tingkat kelas, sekolah, gugus dan kabupaten. Pemecahan masalah diawali dengan menelaah PTK yang pernah dibuat guru dan kemampuan menulis yang baik. Selanjutnya dilakukan sosialisasi mengenai PTK, Media WAPIK, workshop dan pendampingan menulis PTK, tindakan perbaikan, analisis, dan pelaporan PTK. Pendampingan diakhiri dengan penilaian hasil PTK dalam format WAPIK. Sedangkan kegiatan akhir adalah angket dan melihat laporan PTK Guru dalam format WAPIK. Hasil angket menunjukkan 16,7% sangat menarik, 77,7% menarik, dan 5,6% cukup menarik terkait dengan pendampingan ini, sedangkan untuk media pembelajaran yang digunakan dalam pelatihan menunjukkan 16,7% sangat menarik, 77,7% menarik, dan 16,7% cukup menarik. Selain itu dalam pelatihan para guru sangat antusias karena kegiatan langsung pada praktek penulisan yang baik dan tidak terlalu lama memberikan teori (33,7%), selain itu 22,2% sangat berminat, dan 77,8% berminat jika mengikuti pelatihan serupa karena media WAPIK bagi guru merupakan media yang baru dan sederhana karena guru dapat mengupload hasil tulisan dimana saja dan secara langsung bisa mengirimkan secara online.

Abstract

This research aimed to produce science comics products of earth disaster response, described the validity, practicality and effectiveness of comic learning tools based on socioscientific issues (SSI). SSI-based comics combined with guided inquiry models to increase interest and science learning achievement. It used to facilitate students learning in classrooms which mostly have a visual learning style. This research developed using 4-D model and designed using the one-group pretest-posttest design. The research subjects were 120 Grade VII students of Junior High School. The instruments used validation sheets, the implementation of learning, student activities, student responses in the form of modality and interest questionnaires, attitude assessment sheets, and written tests. The data were analyzed descriptively in the form of questionnaires and learning outcomes tests. This questionnaire contains statements and a Likert scale to measure students' learning modalities and interests, while the learning outcomes test is in the form of a multiple choice written test to measure students' cognitive abilities by determining the percentage of n-gain score and the percentage of learning completeness. The results showed that students' interest and learning achievement on earth disaster response material had increased in all classes because of the use of  SSI-based comic teaching materials that helped optimise the process of guided inquiry learning. The stage of guided inquiry also requires students to read a lot and discuss SSI problems in comics. Statistical tests showed that interest in learning affects increasing student learning achievement in Classes VII-B, VII-C, and VII-E because most students have visual learning modalities. But it did not have much impact on grades VII-A and VII-D, which are modality levels visual learning is still relatively low. This is due to the interest in learning which is influenced  by learning modalities, abilities, learning intensity, student attitudes, and student learning environment. So, great interest tends towards senior learning achievement as well, but not all show the influence of attention on it. Student responses were positive. Finally, SSI-based comic teaching materials in guided inquiry learning on earth disaster response materials are appropriate to be used to increase student interest and achievement in science.

Abstract

This study aims to reflect online learning when Covid-19 spread include what happened, how obstacles, teacher readiness, solutions, and teacher innovations to improving learning. The mixed-method research was conducted on 30 SD/MI and SMP/MTs teachers in various fields. Data collection was carried out by survey using google form and interviews. Teacher readiness data is calculated quantitatively using percentages. Qualitative data (constraints, solutions, and innovations) were analyzed qualitatively. The results showed barriers to online learning came from teachers, schools, students, and material content; The percentage in new normal teacher readiness to do online learning is 73,49 (moderate category); Solutions in form of improving online learning infrastructure, providing quotas, teachers not only assigning tasks but activities, improving teacher skills in the field of IT. Teacher innovation is planning blended learning in the new normal and designing learning using internet applications, and empowering teacher working groups. The results of reflection show that online learning which is done suddenly produces many obstacles. Online learning planning needs to be done by improving teacher skills in the internet technology field, providing online learning facilities and infrastructure, understanding the characteristics of the material, and familiarizing students with technology following global demands. For this reason, it is necessary to initiate blended learning, namely a combination of online and face-to-face in facing global challenges.
