Abstract

Experiment using corrugated box made from single wall corrugated board to replace the existing double wall corrugated board has been conducted by comparing their physical properties.The result shows that the 30011501300 and 30011251300 structure of single wall corrugated boards have better physical properties compare to the existing double wall corrugated board which means that packaging of fresh cut flower for export can be made from the single wall corrugated board. Besides, the standardization of the corrugated box format based on the pallet efficiency, is described.

Abstract

Percobaan memperlihatkan bahwa film layak­santap yang dibuat dari tapioka sebagai bahan tunggal ternyata sangat sulit untuk dikelupas dari lempeng kaca pembentuknya; namun dengan berbagai variasi penggunaan tapioka­amilosa, film yang dihasilkan mudah dikelupas. Secara umum lembaran film yang dihasilkan memiliki sifat yang stabil, tidak toksik, kuat tarik dan kemuluran memadai, dengan rentang hasil uji laju transmisi uap air (LTUA) antara 294,0­ 564,5 gr/24jam.

Abstract

Several design of corrugated carton boxes for ceramics vase have been developed by using single and double wall corrugated carton with different gramature 1251125/125,15011501150 and 150112511251150. The evaluation is made by comparing their characteristic through the physical test such as compression, drop and vibration test. The result shows that the single wall corrugated board with gramature 15011501150 have good physical characteristic. With regard to the economic point of view, the gramatur15011501150 single wall corrugated board is recommended for packaging of cearamics vase, especially for export.
