Abstract

The implementation of the cocoa and cattle integration system is expected to reduce agricultural production costs and livestock business costs due to the availability of feed ingredients for livestock and sources of fertilizer for cocoa plants. This study aims to analyze the income of farmers who apply the system integration pattern for beef cattle in cocoa. In addition to analyzing strategies that must be applied by beef cattle breeders in the cocoa crop integration pattern. The study was conducted in Paguyaman and Wonosari Districts, Boalemo District, with a sample of 103 farmers. Analysis of the data used is a descriptive analysis of income and SWOT. The results showed that farmers' income in the integration pattern had good progress where the R / C ratio of cocoa plants had increased income by 23.48% from non-integration into integration. While for cattle, there was an increase in income of 2.39%. In addition, a strategy to develop the integration of beef cattle-cacao is in quadrant 3, a WO strategy that combines opportunities to reduce farmers' weaknesses in developing integrated beef cattle systems in crops. cocoa in Boalemo District.

Abstract

The fertilizer availability as source of N, P, and K nutrient where plant responsif  was difficult found by farmer. Thefore, It was needed information about nutrient availability in soil properties to know nutrient deficiency of its by maize as plant indicator. The  objective of this research was to study the respons of  N, P, and K fertilizers and the best combination of it on the growth and yield of Maize. The research conducted at Udic Pellusterts in North Isimu Tibawa District of Gorontalo Regency. The experi- mental design was following random block design that consist of 5 treatments with 3 replications. The result of this research showing that minus N, P, and K fertilizers have a significantly effect on plant age polination, the percentage of height stem of  an ear of corn to plant height and dry straw weight but did not have significantly effect on plant height and the weigh of one hundred grain of Maize. To improve the growth and yield of Maize using fertilizing without P treatment were 250 kg Urea ha-1 and 75 kg KCl ha-1 or completely dosage were 250 kg Urea ha-1, 100 kg TSP ha-1 and 75 kg KCl ha-1 as the best fertilizers combination.

Abstract

Tanaman yang terinfeksi hama dan penyakit berdasarkan hasil pengamatan dilapangan menunjukan perubahan-perubahan yang nampak terlihat terjadi. Akan tetapi agar proses pengenalan lebih tepat oleh ahli pertanian diambil bagian yang terinfeksi penyakit tersebut yang diletakan pada media posulat Koch untuk dilakukan uji materil di laboratorium untuk dilakukan identifikasi secara visual dibawah mikroskop dan kemudian dilakukan pencocokan berdasarkan referensi ciri-ciri jamur dari pustaka yang digunakan oleh tenaga laboran di laboratorium adapun prosedur identifikasi tersebut yang digunakan kurang efektif dikarenakan dalam proses uji laboratorium untuk menentukan jenis spora pathogen pada tanaman jagung dilakukan beberapa tahapan yang membutuhkan waktu yang lebih lama Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melakukan ektraksi citra suatu spora pathogen penyakit pada tanaman jagung yaitu penyakit hawar,bercak dan karat pada daun tanaman jagung sehingga diperoleh ciri-ciri berdasarkan visual digital. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian menggunakan ekstraksi fitur Grey Level Co-Occurance Matriks (GLCM) diperoleh hasil untuk spora pathogen penyakit pada tanaman jagung untuk hawar,bercak dan karat daun dari tabel 1 ditunjukan bahwa diperoleh nilai maksimal suatu intensitas maksimal yang sama untuk ketiga penyakit. Untuk nilai kromatis maksimal 0.9 pada penyakit hawar fitur entropi,bercak fitur IDM, dan terakhir pada fitur ASM penyakit hawar dan Karat. Sedangkan untuk nilai intensitas minimal terendah 0.1 adalah pada penyakit karat fitur entropi dan IDM.

Abstract

The objectives of this community service activity are 1) encouraging students and young farmers to master agricultural technology, 2) developing students' creativity in organic vegetable cultivation with hydroponic technology innovation, 3) utilizing organic waste such as animal manure, crop residues in the form of rice straw, sawdust  , husk charcoal, as a medium for organic fertilizer, 4) providing direct practice on how to make simple hydroponics, the importance of maintaining soil fertility for plants, and entrepreneurship.  Methods in the forming of direct application practice regarding making organic fertilizers, cultivating vegetables, and techniques for making simple hydroponics.  The locations of the activities are in the villages of Tunggulo, Tungulo Selatan, and Bongoime, Tilong Kabila District, Bone Bolango Regency, Gorontalo Province.  This activity was attended by 34 students’ participants from the Department of Agrotechnology and other departments at State University of Gorontalo and collaborated with young farmers, held for 40 days from September 8 to October 10, 2020. The results of the activity showed that community service activities in partner villages were carried out running well and according to the planned program.  Students and young farmers have succeeded in developing hydroponic manufacturing techniques with vegetable commodities and organic growing media that use compost of manure and husk charcoal

Abstract

Di Provinsi Gorontalo, komoditas tanaman pangan merupakan komoditas yang dominan dan dikembangkan secara intensif terutama tanaman jenis jagung. Mengamati kondisi potensi ketersediaan lahan dan komoditi tanaman jagung yang terus dikembangkan di daerah ini, tentu akan sangat membutuhkan teknologi praktis untuk membantu para petani dalam mengolah hasil panen komoditi jagung. Akan tetapi limbah jagung yang dihasilkan berupa kulit dan tongkol juga akan berdampak dan berpotensi meningkat. Berdasarkan kondisi ini, maka tim peneliti akan membuat rancangan sebuah sistem mesin dengan prinsip mekanik multi proses berupa fungsi pengupas, pemipil dan pengolah kulit dan tongkol jagung menjadi pakan ternak sehingga lebih praktis membantu para petani jagung dan peternak. Dengan menerapkan karakteristik mekanik multi proses ini, maka pekerjaan yang membutuhkan beberapa kali tahapan pengolahan dapat dilakukan hanya dengan sekali tahapan.

Abstract

Di Provinsi Gorontalo, komoditas tanaman pangan merupakan komoditas yang dominan dan dikembangkan secara intensif terutama tanaman jenis jagung.  Provinsi Gorontalo merupakan penghasil jagung karena rerata Masyarakat Gorontalo selain petani padi juga sebagai petani jagung. Riset ini masih menggunakan metode simulasi visual untuk membantu pengamatan bagaimana karakteristik dan efektivitas gerak komponen sebelum melakukan proses pengerjaan dan fabrikasi mesin. Selain simulasi visual, juga dilakukan metode uji analisis berdasarkan data-data penelitian sebelumnya sehingga komparasi data analisis pada penelitian ini dapat menjadi pertimbangan untuk konsep redesain sistem mekanik mesin yang sesuai dengan prinsip dan  fungsinya. Mesin multi proses adalah sebuah mesin yang memiliki tiga fungsi sekaligus yakni pengupas, pemipil dan pencacah dengan menerapkan prinsip kerja mekanik solid work pada aspek proses transfer dan proses pengolahan. Secara umum hasil uji fungsi utama sistem mesin telah memberikan gambaran yang cukup baik jika dipandang pada aspek karakteristik kerja, akan tetapi pada aspek hasil olahan mesin masih belum optimal. Sebab itu perlu dilakukan riset lanjut untuk redesain konsep sistem mekanik mesin multi proses yang ada. Riset ini masih menggunakan metode simulasi visual untuk membantu pengamatan bagaimana karakteristik dan efektivitas gerak komponen sebelum melakukan proses pengerjaan dan fabrikasi mesin. Abstract

The purpose of the service is to find out how to make organic fertilizer using rice husk raw materials and how to apply it to vegetable plants. The method used in this service is by holding counseling about the benefits of organic fertilizer, training in making rice husk organic fertilizer with an EM4 simulator, application of organic fertilizer as an organic planting medium in polybags, and program evaluation. The result of the dedication is in the form of transfer of research results on the technology for making organic fertilizer with an EM4 simulator, in this case the utilization of rice husk organic matter which is transferred from lecturers as researchers to farmers in the form of counseling and demonstrations. Partners take an active role in this service, especially in technical implementation in the field. The service program that was carried out was accepted by the farmers. Farmers are very optimistic that they can apply what they get in this service activity in the field, because this technology is very easy to apply. Fermented rice husk organic fertilizer is directly applied to several types of vegetable plants that have previously been planted in nurseries. Some vegetable plants grown in polybags are celery, chilies, tomatoes, kale, spinach and mustard greens. Plant growth in polybags that use organic growing media is quite good because of the improvement in soil properties played by the organic fertilizers given. Improvements in soil properties include improvements in physical, chemical and biological properties.

Abstract

The decline in cayenne pepper crop production is partly due to low soil fertility. Efforts to increase crop production can be done by applying rice husk ash as a soil reformer combined with ZA fertilizer, so that plant nutrient needs are fulfilled. This study aims to determine the effect of applying rice husk ash and ZA fertilizer and their interactions on the growth and yield of cayenne pepper plants and to determine the dose of husk ash and ZA fertilizer that is suitable for the growth of cayenne pepper plants. This research was carried out in North Huntu Village, South Bulango District, Bone Bolango Regency, for four months starting from June to September 2021. This research use Factorial Group Randomized Design which consists of 2 factors. The first factor is rice husk ash which consists of three levels, namely 40, 50, and 60 g plant-1. The second one is ZA fertilizer with 3 levels, namely 10, 20, and 30 g plant-1. The observed parameters include plant height, number of productive branches, the weight of fruits, and the number of fruits. The data analysis uses analysis of variance (ANOVA) with a 5% BNT test. The results showed that rice husk ash and ZA fertilizer affected the growth and yield of cayenne pepper plants. The best results are obtained with the application of husk ash at a dose of 60 g plant-1 and ZA fertilizer at 30 g plant-1.Keywords: Rice husk ash, ZA fertilizer, cayenne pepper

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pupuk organik cair (daun lamtoro, batang pisang, kulit pisang) sebagai sumber NPK terhadap pertumbuhan 2 varietas tanaman pakcoy (Brassica rapa L.). Penelitian dilakukan di Instalasi Penelitian dan Pengkajian Teknologi Pertanian (IP2TP) Gorontalo, kecamatan Tilongkabila, kabupaten Bone Bolango. Metode penelitian dilakukan dengan menggunakan rancangan acak kelompok (RAK) faktorial, dengan 3 kali ulangan serta, terdiri atas 10 kombinasi perlakuan. Analisis data dilakukan dengan menggunakan analysis of varians (ANOVA), yang mana jika F hitung lebih besar dari F tabel maka akan dilakukan uji lanjut DMRT taraf 5%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perlakuan pupuk organik cair (daun lamtoro, batang pisang, kulit pisang) berpengaruh nyata terhadap tinggi tanaman dan berat segar tanaman dengan perlakuan terbaik yaitu terdapat pada perlakuan dosis pupuk organik cair (daun lamtoro 265 ml + batang pisang 75 ml + kulit pisang 95 ml). Varietas tanaman pakcoy (Brassica rapa L.) berpengaruh nyata terhadap tinggi tanaman, panjang daun, jumlah daun dan berat segar tanaman dengan perlakuan varietas terbaik yaitu pada varietas Nauli F1. Kombinasi kedua perlakuan atau interaksi berpengaruh nyata pada perlakuan pupuk organik cair pada umur tanaman 29 HST terhadap parameter tinggi tanaman, jumlah daun, dan berat segar tanaman. Dimana, perlakuan terbaik terdapat pada perlakuan varietas Nauli F1 dengan dosis pupuk organik cair (daun lamtoro 265 ml + batang pisang 75 ml + kulit pisang 95 ml). Kata Kunci: Pupuk Organik Cair, Tanaman Pakcoy
