Abstract

Ikan beseng-beseng atau ikan rainbow Sulawesi (Telmatherina ladigesi) merupakan ikan hias asli air tawar di Sulawesi Selatan, termasuk ikan endemik dan mempunyai nilai ekonomis penting di Indonesia. Memiliki tingkat eksploitasi yang tinggi menyebabkan ikan ini sudah termasuk dalam kategori terancam punah dalam sejak IUCN 1996. Menurunnya populasi T.ladigesi akan menyebabkan variasi genetik akan berubah pada masa selanjutnya yang mengarah terjadinya silang dalam. Untuk mengantisipasi hal tersebut maka perlu dilakukan usaha pengelolaan yang bertanggung jawab seperti restoking, domestikasi, dan pembenihan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui variasi genetik populasi ikan beseng-beseng di Sulawesi Selatan. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan di Kabupaten Maros (Sungai Bantimurung dan S. Abalu), Bone (S. Sawae), Soppeng (S. Asanae) dan Pangkep (S. Gowa Lorong dan S. Jennae). Metode analisis variasi genetik menggunakan Random Amplified Polymorphism DNA (RAPD). Hasil penelitian yaitu panjang gen ikan beseng-beseng adalah 600 bp. Panjang fragmen mt-DNA primer F berkisar 581 sampai 593 bp, sedangkan primer R berkisar 582 bp sampai 589 bp. Hasil similaritas sekuan gen ikan Telmatherina ladigesi lebih dekat dengan Marosatherima ladigesi yaitu 99%. Hubungan kekerabatan genetik populasi ikan beseng beseng di Sulawesi Selatan sangat rendah.Kata Kunci: metode RAPD, Telmatherina ladigesi, variasi genetik

Abstract

The decreasing population of snakehead fish (Channa striata) in nature needs to be preserved through cultivation. The use of probiotics in cultivation can support increased production. This study aimed to determine the effect of the frequency of probiotics on survival, growth, feed conversion, and body proximate in snakehead fish fry for 60 days. The study was conducted using an experimental method with a completely randomized design (CRD) consisting of 4 treatments and 3 replications. The treatment is the frequency of giving probiotics, including once a day, twice a day, three times a day, and without probiotics (control). The results showed that the frequency of probiotic administration affected survival, growth, feed conversion, and proximate content of snakehead fish seed bodies. The best frequency is the provision of probiotics twice a day.

Abstract

AbstrakProgram Pengembangan Usaha Produk Intelektual Kampus (PPUPIK) Berbasis Usaha Akuakultur Terpadu melalui inovasi teknologi budidaya ikan nila dikolam terpal dengan sistem modular di Desa Mandalle Kecamatan Mandalle, Kabupaten Pangkep Sulawesi Selatan. Program ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan ekonomi kampus, menanamkan budaya wirausaha bagi mahasiswa, percontohan untuk masyarakat dan  tempat praktek untuk mahasiswa Kolam terpal pemeliharan pendedaran  (1 kolam) dan pembesaran (2 kolam) dengan diameter 3 m dan tinggi 1,2 m. Benih ikan yang digunakan adalah nila Gesit (Oreochromis niloticus) yang mono sex jantan, berukuran 1,5 cm. Selama pendederan dilakukan penyiponan setiap hari dan diberi probiotik 50 ml/minggu. Ukuran benih untuk pembesaran yaitu 5 -7 cm sebanyak 1500 ekor setiap kolam. Media pemeliharaan dikolam pembesaran dengan menumbuhkan bioflok dan makanan alami sebelum benih ditebar. Pergantian air dilakukan setiap minggu. Pakan buatan yang digunakan berkadar protein 35 %, frekwensi pemberian pakan 3 kali sehari, dan dosis pemberian pakan  3-5 % dari berat tubuh. Kelangsungan hidup ikan untuk pendederan yaitu 87 %. Total produksi ikan konsumsi satu siklus pembesaran 1.053 kg. Keuntungan produk ikan nila Rp. 15.125.000.  RC ratio menunjukkan 1,35 > 1 berarti layak dilaksanakan dengan payback periode sebesar 0,32 tahun.Kata kunci : ikan nila, modular, probiotik, B/C ratio, akuakultur AbstractCampus Intellectual Product Business Development Program (PPUPIK) based on Integrated Aquaculture Business through innovative tilapia cultivation technology in ponds with a modular system, located in Mandalle Village, Mandalle District, Pangkep Regency, South Sulawesi. The program aims to develop the campus economy, instill an entrepreneurial culture for students, a model for the community and a place of practice for students. Maintenance in ponds for nurseries (1 pond) and growing (2 ponds) were 3 m in diameter and 1.2 m high. The fish seed species used were Oreochromis niloticus which was mono-sex male, 1.5 cm in size. During the nursery, water suction were carried out every day and given probiotics 50 ml / week. The size of the seeds for enlargement is 5 -7 cm as many as 1500 individuals per ponds.  Water is in the growing pond was growth of biofloc and natural food. Water changes were carried out every week. Tilapia survival for nursery was 87%. The total production of consumption fish was 1,053 kg. Artificial feed was used with a protein content of 35%, feeding frequency were 3 times a day and dose were 3-5% of body weight. The profit of consumption fish products was Rp. 15,125,000. RC ratio shows 1.35 > 1 means it is feasible to be implemented with a payback period of 0.32 years.Keywords: tilapia, modular, probiotic, B / C ratio, aquaculture

Abstract

Tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus) including the Cichlidae family from Africa. Measuring 200 - 400 grams and omnivorous, it can consume vegetable and animal feed. Palm oil waste has a high enough protein so that it can be used as a source of vegetable protein in fish feed. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of palm oil waste feed on the survival rate, growth and feed conversion of tilapia. This study used a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with the number of treatments 3 namely A = Palm Oil Dregs (POD) plus fine bran, B = POD plus fish meal, C = POD plus soy flour; with 3 replications. The parameters observed were survival, growth and Feed Convertion Rate (FCR). Stocking density for each tilapia 10 individuals / container. The results showed the survival of tilapia in treatments A and B gave the same results (86.66%) and treatment C (80%). The results of analysis of variance showed that the treatment did not significantly affect the survival of tilapia. The growth parameters, both in absolute growth and growth rates of tilapia during the study showed that the treatment had a significant effect on the growth of tilapia and the best treatment was treatment B, while treatments A and C were not significantly different. The FCR obtained was treatment A (1.27), B (1.18) and C (1.16). The results of variance analysis showed that the treatment had no significant effect on the tilapia FCR.

Abstract

Evaluation of the implementation of good management of fish hatchery (CPIB) at the shrimp hatchery unit of the Departmen of marine and fishery in south Sulawesi province in Bojo, Barru regensy. This research was conducted in February 2019 until April 2019 at the shrimp hatchery until of the Departmen of Marine and Fisheries in south Sulawesi in Bojo, Barru regency. The hatchery unit is a barometer of other shrimp hatcheries in Barru regency in particular and those in South Sulawesi province in general. Based on the results of research using the analysis method (t test) and linear regression shows that the implementation of good management of fish hatchery (CPIB) has an excellent effect on shrimp seed production and internal management factors that affect almost 70% of successful seed production are water quality management, master management, feed management, larvae management and personnel management and the remaining around 30% of production is influenced by external factors such as environment and others. To increase the production of shrimp seed in hatchery units, is it necessary to seek for adjustments and performance enhancements and still be giuded by the method of good hatchery (CPIB) in implementing the 5 production management steps as internal factors greatly determine the success level of seed production both in quantity and quality. Abstract

This research was conducted in August-September 2019 in three (3) subdistricts in Tanete Riattang Timur District, namely Waetuo, Panyula and Toro. The objectives of this study is to formulate priority management strategies for vaname shrimp ponds against the distribution of parasitic diseases. Data were collected by measuring water quality directly at each pond and interviewing shrimp farmers, Head of Marine and Fisheries Agency, fishery extension agents and lecturers of Marine and Fisheries Polytechnics of Bone in the field fish disease. Data were analyzed using both descriptive analysis and Process Hierarchy Analysis (AHP). The results showed that management of vaname shrimp ponds against parasitic diseases distribution was still lack of attention. Vaname shrimp pond management strategies against parasitic diseases distribution in the District of Tanete Riattang Timur, Bone regency, South Sulawesi was directed at the aspect of water quality. According to this study, the aspects to be improved were water quality management, education and experience of farmers, feed management, the use of SPF and SPR certified fries and biosecurity.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze the reproductive biology of Celebes rainbowfish (Marosatrherina ladigesi) in some rivers of South Sulawesi including sex ratio, fecundity, eggs diameter, gonado somatic index, gonad maturity sta- ges, and spawning season. Fish collections were conducted in the Bantimurung River, Sawae River, Asanae River, and Jenae River. This study was conducted for one year from January to December 2014. Fish samples were separated by sex, total length was measured using calliper with a precision of 0.1 mm, while the body weight and gonad weight were measured with analytical balance with a precision of 0.01 g. Gonads were preserved in formaldehyde 4% for the deter- mination of fecundity, eggs diameter, gonad maturity index, and gonad maturity level. Sex ratio was unbalanced in every month and fecundity of fish ranged between 98-978 eggs. Relationship between fecundity and body length was strongly correlated, while the relationship between fecundity with body weight was weakly correlated. Fish eggs diameter was vary and this fish categorized as partial spawner. Gonad maturation index of males and females increase in August, September, October, November, December and January. Mature fish was collected in every month of sampling period and the peak spawning season was found in December Abstrak Tujuan penelitian ini untuk menganalisis biologi reproduksi ikan beseng-beseng di Sulawesi Selatan meliputi nisbah ke- lamin, fekunditas, diameter telur, indeks kematangan gonad, tingkat kematangan gonad, dan musim pemijahan. Lokasi pengambilan sampel meliputi Sungai Bantimurung, Sungai Sawae, Sungai Asanae, dan Sungai Jenae. Penelitian dilaku- kan selama satu tahun mulai Januari sampai Desember 2014. Pengambilan sampel ikan menggunakan alat tangkap se- ser. Sampel ikan yang tertangkap dipisahkan berdasarkan jenis kelamin dan diukur panjang total, bobot tubuh, bobot gonad dan fekunditas. Pengukuran panjang total ikan menggunakan mistar geser berketelitian 0,1 mm, sedangkan bobot tubuh dan bobot gonad menggunakan timbangan analitik berketelitian 0,01 g. Gonad diawetkan dalam larutan formalin 4%, untuk penentuan fekunditas, diameter telur, indeks kematangan gonad, dan tingkat kematangan gonad. Nisbah ke- lamin tidak seimbang pada setiap bulan dan fekunditas ikan berkisar antara 98-978 butir. Hubungan fekunditas dengan panjang tubuh ikan berkorelasi erat, sedangkan hubungan fekunditas dengan bobot tubuh berkorelasi lemah. Sebaran diamater telur bervariasi dan tipe pemijahan tidak serentak. Indeks kematangan gonad ikan jantan dan betina meningkat pada bulan Agustus, September, Oktober, November, Desember dan Januari. Ikan yang yang matang gonad ditemukan setiap bulan pengamatan dan puncak pemijahan terjadi pada bulan Desember.

Abstract

Marosatherina ladigesi’s original habitat is in the freshwater of South Sulawesi as endemic fish in the wallacea zone Indonesia, with a local name called beseng-beseng fish. M.ladigesi was already in the category of at threat of extinction.The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of different protein levels on survival rate, growth performance, body protein composition and enzyme activity of protease, lipase and amylase of beseng-beseng fish. The research method was using Completely Randomized Design with three treatments and three replications. Treatment of the study: protein content of feed A: 40%, B: 50% and C: 60%. Fish maintenance takes 90 days. The results showed that protein content had a significant effect (P<0,05) on absolute body growth, specific growt rate, survival rate, body protein composition and protease enzyme activity of juvenile beseng-beseng fish. The best growth performance is obtained at 50% and 60% protein content, while the survival and body protein composition and the best protease enzyme activity at 60% protein content.

Abstract

Innovation of semi-intensive milkfish cultivation and modular methods in the farming unit of the Indonesian Muslim University, Parreang Hamlet, Bontosunggu Village (Kalibone), Minasatene District, Pangkep Regency. The problem of demand for milkfish is the size of a lot of consumption, low production yields, traditional cultivation technology used, facilities and infrastructure are irrelevant, production management does not use good farming methods. The purpose of this activity is (1). applying the semi-intensive milkfish cultivation system technology innovation with a modular method, (2). Developing an economic culture, (3) creating new entrepreneurs of milkfish cultivation in ponds, (4) increasing milkfish production (4) stimulating the community to develop semi-intensive milkfish cultivation with a modular method, (5) stimulating students to innovate and develop milkfish farming. The implementation method is a demonstration of milkfish farming in ponds ranging from pond preparation, natural food growth, seed stocking, artificial feeding and probiotics, handling water quality, pests, and diseases, and harvesting. The density of seeds stocked with a semi-intensive system was 10,000 heads / ha. Map the ponds used for shifting maintenance (modular method) of 3 ponds for 5 months. The results achieved are the production of milkfish with size of 5 milkfish / kg or ± 250 g as much as 423 kg with a net income of Rp.4,390,000. The maintenance cycle is carried out one cycle because of the dry season constraints from the planned 3 maintenance cycles.
