Abstract

Objective research to explore the influence of BCG scar for results of tuberculin test after controlled by covariat variable e.g childrens’s characteristic (age, gender), parents’s characteristic (parents’s education, parents’s occupation) and household size. Method using a case control study held in primary school children attending class I-IV (8-13 years age) in Cilacap district from September–Desember 2008. Sample divided in two group, there are 109 case and 109 control. School children who had result of tuberculin test ≥ 10 mm, respectively, were considered as a case. Control were school children who have result of tuberculin test 0-9 mm, selected by proporsional random sampling. Informations about children’s result of tuberculin test were obtained from secondary datas of tuberculin survey which held on center of Java. Primary datas obtained by interviewing with school children. Result logistic regression demonstrated influence of BCG scar for result pf tuberculin test showed result OR = 0.432, p value = 0,409, it means childrens who had BCG scar had a risk for positive tuberculin 0.432 greater than childrens who had not BCG scar. Based on result, age was confounding variable for influence of BCG scar for results of tuberculin test (OR = 0.434, nilai p = 0.003).

ABSTRACT Decline of global economic conditions are impact on industrial sectors, especially the industries whose products are exported to developed countries and developing countries. These conditions, more employers will do efficiency and focuses on efforts to overcome the problem of capital management and marketing. Occupatinal health and safety is a part that requires a highcost for the company so it is not important in the current economic. One of negleted component is fatique on the worker. Therefore, researchers wanted to conduct research about the relationship between Hb levels with fatique on the female workers in PT. HyupSung Purbalingga. The results of bivariate analysis is obtained p value = 0.075> α = 0.05. This indicates that there is no significant relationship between Hb levels with fatigue. This is probably caused by Hb workers are still in the normal category, so the possibility of fatigue is caused by other factors. As for suggestions for this research is need for the application of ergonomic principles in working facilities such as tables, chairs, to reduce helath problems at the waist and back. The need for increased knowledge about the importance of nutrition for the workers. The need of training fatigue management to problem solving of fatique on the worker. Abstract

ABSTRACT Basic Health Services in Banyumas have been conducted since 2005 with the midwifes as managing staff. The presence of PKD has caused several types of services, previously conducted in the community health center (puskesmas) to be moved to Village Health Posts (PKD). The mutation of some services from the community health center to PKD is considered to take effect on the recording and reporting activities which was previously done by the community health center. This study is a survey research which aimed to determine wether or not the presence of PKD affects the recording and reporting activities of the community health center. The study population were all the villages in Patikraja District which implements PKD. The samples were taken using the simple random sampling method. Data was collected from interviews and data archives of PKD activities. The results obtained showed that the coverage of MCH activities have reached target, except for exclusive breastfeeding (asi eksklusif) and baby visits, 65% of EFA/PUS joined family planning, immunization coverage has reached target, number of visits for basic medical services in PKD are as many as 2523 people, there are 1 mandiri and 4 purnama level posyandu with 28 active cadres, weighing coverage has not reached the D / S target (68%) and N / D (46%), there are 3 types of recording formats /registers in Posyandu. There is a need of simplification and reduction of some data in the format / register. Kata Kunci: PKD, recording, reporting Jurnal Kesmas indo. Volume 4(1) Januari 2011, hlm. 47-60

Abstract

ABSTRACT Height of new children entered primary school can explaine the growth of the previous age which strongly associated with health and nutritional history of the past, while the weight loss associated with nutritional status conditions in the present. The objective of this study was to analyze the new children's height and weight as early detection of nutritional disorders in school children. This research was explanatory survey with crosssectional approach. Observed variables include height and weight of children and interpretation of achievement based on the percent of the median, the height for age index, the weight for age index and Bassal Metabolism Index. The samples are all new children entered school in SDN 1Karangklesem, numbered of 27 people. The analysis showed an average height attainment of male students is 96.2% of the WHO standard median and 95.1% female students, while achieving an average weight of male students was 93.3% of the median standard WHO and women 78.6%. Based on height for age index, the nutritional disorder most commonly found is stunted as much as 29.6%, 22,2 % malnutrition by weight for age index and 29,6 % wasted by BMI. Suggestion to monitor the nutritional status of children regularly as malnutrition. Keywords : School Children, Weight, Height Kesmasindo Volume 5( 1) Januari 2012, hlm. 12-22

Abstract

Background : Poor growth in infants can be indicated by a decrease in WAZ score, and is started in 2 to 6 month. Growth faltering can be continued to growth failure and it is influenced by baby feeding, such as breasfeesing and formula feeding. Therefore important to analyses no-exclusive breastfeeding and formula feeding to be determinants factors of growth faltering in infant. Methods : This Observational study was conducted in a case control design at Kangkung subdistrict. Cases were the subjects who had growth faltering, and controls were the subjects who had normal growth, both groups of 36 included subject in each group. The determinan variables investigated were no-exclusive breastfeeding and formula feeding, Analisis was conducted by logistic regression and population attribute risk (PAR). Result : About 49 (69,1%) infants got no-exclusive breastfeeding, and about 22 (30,5%) infants got formula feeding. Based on results bivariat logistic regression analyses, showed that both of signicant : No-exclusive breastfeeding (OR = 3.30; 95% CI : 1.15-9.52; PAR = 0.61), and formula feeding (OR = 2.96; 95% ci : 1.03 - 8.53 PAR = 0.38). Conclucion and Suggestion : No-exclusive breastfeeding and formula feeding to be determinants factors of growth faltering in infant aged 2-6 months. It is recomended to transfer knowledge about the importance of exclusive breastfeeding to prevention growth faltering in infancy.
