Abstract

This research is about how the utilization of “twitter TMCPoldaMetro” in satisfy information need of the users of the higway.The purpose of this research is to know the extent of utilization of “twitter TMC Polda Metro” in meet information need of the new approach, the approach needs regular information, in-depth information needs approach, and the approach to information needs at a glance the user of the highway. This reaserach method used is descriptive method intended to describe or expose variables that become the object of his research. Technic to collect data done with question form, interviews, and study literature. Population in this research are the follower “twitter TMCPoldaMetro” and technic to take sampel used accidental sampling to anyone around Polda Metro. Based on the reaserach results that using “twitter TMCPoldaMetro” enough to satisfy new information needs, daily information needs approach, to deep information needs approach, and information needs approach of the users of the higway approach.Penelitian ini adalah mengenai bagaimana pemanfaatan “twitter TMCPolda Metro” dalam memenuhi kebutuhan informasi para pengguna jalan raya. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui sejauh mana pemanfaatan “twitter TMCPoldaMetro” dalam memenuhi pendekatan kebutuhan informasi mutkahir, pendekatan kebutuhan informasi rutin, pendekatan kebutuhan informasi mendalam, dan pendekatan kebutuhan informasi sekilas para pengguna jalan raya. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif yang dimaksudkan untuk menggambarkan atau memaparkan variabel–variabel yang menjadi objek penelitiannya. Teknik pengambilan datanya dilakukan melalui angket, wawancara, dan studi pustaka. Adapun yang menjadi populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah follower “twitter TMCPoldaMetro” dan teknik pengambilan sampelnya menggunakan teknik accidental sampling yaitu mengambil sampel siapa saja yang ada atau yang kebetulan ditemui. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat diketahui bahwa dengan memanfaatkan “twitter TMCPoldaMetro” cukup memenuhi pendekatan kebutuhan informasi mutakhir, pendekatan kebutuhan informasi rutin, pendekatan kebutuhan informasi mendalam, dan pendekatan kebutuhan informasi sekilas para pengguna jalan raya.

Abstract

The study of information literacy among students of Library and Information Science that exists throughout the University in Indonesia showed an increase. This is apparent in the researches of students in graduation thesis which has been created by graduates of undergraduate or master's degree in Library and Information Science in Indonesia. This happens also among students of Library and Information Science Fikom and served with improved information literacy study conducted the students to complete a final project. This study aims to find out the trend of the development of the research on information literacy in the thesis students of Library and Information Science Padjadjaran University. Methods in this study is a library research. Results of the study showed total use of literacy or information literacy concepts on student research conducted as many as 22 titles and there are 15 thesis/theses (68.2%) who use the models of information literacy to address a variety of problems that they are scrupulous or become a source of reference for determining the various concepts for the benefit of their research. Big 6 model widely used student. The following models used information literacy: Big 6; Information Literacy model 7 steps of Knowledge Management; The Seven Pillars Of Information Literacy SCONUL; Empowering 8; Model 6-Scientific Information Literacy Model; Plus Model; Pattern and Model LISA; ACRL Literacy Model (Information Literacy Competency Standards For Higher Education).

Abstract

The folklore is a story in all-region as documentation of culture in the community. In the information community, people to need activities in the reading with easy and fast to use. AudioBuku is an application in handphone (HP) that has a collection of folklore at Indonesia. The purpose this research is to know diffusion of innovation the folklore in AudioBuku, consist of a process of innovation, a process of diffusion, and a process of adoption. The method this research used qualitative methods approach with case study method. The result this research is in the innovation process, the feature of AudioBuku can to direct the children’s to listen to audio the folklore. The folklore collection is free and unfree to access. In process of diffusion, AudioBuku media on HP can be access by the children and the parents. In the adoption process, more of the children and the parents as a sustainable adoption and adoption. They can to use AudioBuku continuously or an only certain time. AudioBuku has serve facilitate education consist of audio media to use in reading activities.

Abstract

Travel trends have influenced tourist information to be easily accessed by tourists. Several institutions use digital media a lot in promoting tourism in an area. One of them is the Sumbar Travel website used by the West Sumatera Provincial Tourism Office. This study aimed to determine the use of the Sumbar Travel website to meet the information needs of tourists in West Sumatera through analysis of information content, website usability, appearance, and website navigation systems. This study used correlation quantitative research methods. The study results found that the website's information content contributed to fulfilling the information needs of tourists by presenting attractions, culinary, and cultural activities of West Sumatera, as much as 52.5% and 47.5% were determined by other variables. The website's appearance played an essential role in meeting tourist information needs, which contained tourist objects and photos of West Sumatera tourist attractions, as much as 51% and determined by other variables 49%. The website navigation system played an essential role in meeting tourist information needs by providing various tourist information categories by 29%, and 71% were determined by other variables. The website's usefulness contributed to the fulfillment of tourist information needs by 42.5%, and 57.5% were determined by other variables. This study concludes that there is a significant relationship between the influence of the Sumbar Travel website and meeting the information needs of tourists in West Sumatera.

Abstract

 ABSTRACT This study about designing of  annotated bibliography Debus Banten used documentation activity step. The purpose of this study is to identifying elements of Debus culture, collecting information resources of Debus culture, knowing standard of cataloguing rules in Indonesia now, knowing classification type that commonly used to bibliography, knowing the rules of abstract for support manufacture of bibliography of  Debus. The method used is action research, with designing of annotated bibliography of Debus. Data collecting technique used is observation, informal interviews, and publicities literature. The result of this study that in designing a bibliography of Debus is identifying Debus, collecting information resources related to Debus. After that designing a bibliography using the standard rules of bibliography in national library Republik Indonesia now, is DDC 23 (classification) and AACR2 (cataloguing). This study is resulting a secondary documents is bibliography of Debus Banten. Bibliography of Debus has been tested public to student of faculty of Adab dan Humanities UIN Syarif Hidayatullah and the result is positif, bibliography of Debus can be used by information seekers.

Abstract

The ‘Pandai Sikek’ weaving activity is a form of cultural communication through the maternal line (matrilineality) which upholds values and norms. Values and norms of the ‘songket’ culture are governed by the people’s belief that there was an ancestral sacred oath. The local people make information fosters the development of knowledge. This promotes the transformation of knowledge as a form of local knowledge development of the Pandai Sikek community which is fully supported by the community and by the use of media as well. The purpose of this study was to look at the communication pattern of the weaver, employer and government in the transformation process of local knowledge. The research method used was qualitative with ethnographic approach. The main data were collected by unstructured interview, observation and documentation study. The communication pattern among weavers was circular, involving experience, information sharing, application, knowledge, and innovation. Study results indicated the existence of a pattern by the weaver’s community, were experiences shared through information sharing, and then applied to create knowledge. The use of knowledge would result in innovation and then became an experience again.  Entrepreneurs became the bridge for cooperation to support the economy of society. The government issued a policy of protection and knowledge preservation through HAKI (Intellectual Property Rights). In conclusion, the transformation of knowledge continues to develop the socio-economic life of society containing values, norms, and beliefs, which has been performed from generation to generation.

Abstract

Kantor Arsip Universitas Padjadjaran sebagai lembaga kearsipan perguruan tinggi, dibentuk untuk menyelamatkan arsip penting yang berkaitan dengan bukti status intelektualitas serta mengembangkan potensi yang melahirkan inovasi dan karya-karya intelektual lainnya. Arsip yang tercipta di Universitas Padjadjaran, merupakan aset publik yang menjadi bukti akuntabilitas kinerja dan bahan pertanggungjawaban atas capaian Tri Dharma Perguruan Tinggi. Di era digital saat ini, Kantor Arsip Universitas Padjadjaran dihadapkan pada situasi yang sangat terbuka, dimana akses informasi terkait arsip statis harus mudah di akses oleh masyarakat dengan cara yang mudah, murah dan tepat. Semua kegiatan pada Kantor Arsip Universitas Padjadjaran tidak bisa terlepas dari sistem berbasis digital dalam memenuhi kebutuhan komunikasinya. Media digital saat ini sudah seharusnya digunakan oleh public relations pada Kantor Arsip Universitas Padjadjaran untuk mendukung dan membentuk digital branding. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui digital branding pada Kantor Arsip Universitas Padjadjaran, melalui analisis kegiatan, SDM dan penggunaan media sosial. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif, jenis studi deskriptif dengan data kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui wawancara, observasi dan studi literatur. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Kantor Arsip Universitas Padjadjaran telah melakukan digital branding untuk membangun goodwill dan juga untuk memperkuat reputasinya melalui berbagai kegiatan seperti kerjasama, webinar, sosialisasi dan pembinaan kearsipan baik untuk internal maupun eksternal. Media digital yang digunakan untuk membangun branding masih terbatas pada situs website. Media sosial seperti facebook, Instagram, tweeter, line dll belum dimanfaatkan oleh Kantor Arsip Universitas Padjadjaran. Pengelolaan kegiatan public relations dilakukan oleh arsiparis yang belum mendapatkan Pendidikan dan pelatihan kehumasan.
