<![CDATA[Installation of an appropriate infusion is a procedure whose steps are taken in a hospital. This action will be qualified by its implementation if it refers to the fixed procedure for infusion. If this procedure is not done properly it will cause phlebitis. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between the implementation of infusion and the incidence of phlebitis in the inpatient ward of the Banten General Hospital. This research method used a correlational method with a cross sectional approach. The aim is to determine the relationship between the dependent variable and the independent variable, the data is collected by means of observation. The number of samples in this study amounted to 30 people consisting of 30 implementing nurses and 30 patients who had an IV infusion on 17 to 23 June 2019 selected by probability sampling with a simple random technique. The results showed that almost all of the respondents (86.6%) had the infusion done well, and most (43.3%) of the patients who had the infusion did not experience phlebitis. Based on the results of statistical tests, it was found that there was no relationship between the implementation of infusion and the incidence of phlebitis, p value = 0.061. It can be concluded that there is no relationship between the infusion technique and the incidence of phlebitis. ABSTRAKPemasangan infus yang sesuai merupakan prosedur yang tahapan tindakannya dirumah sakit. Tindakan ini akan berkualitas dengan pelaksanaannya apabila mengacu pada prosedur tetap pemasangan infus. Jika prosedur ini tidak dilakukan dengan baik maka akan menimbulkan flebitis. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengetahui hubungan pelaksanaan pemasangan infus dengan kejadian flebitis diruang rawat inap Rumah Sakit Umum Banten. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan metode korelasional dengan pendekatan cross sectional. Tujuannya untuk mengetahui hubungan antara variabel dependen dan variabel independen, data dikumpulkan dengan cara observasi. Jumlah sampel dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 30 orang terdiri dari 30 perawat pelaksana dan 30 pasien yang terpasang infus pada tanggal 17 sampai dengan 23 Juni 2019 dipilih secara probability sampling dengan teknik simple random. Hasil penelitian menunjukan hampir seluruh responden (86,6%) pemasangan infus dilakukan dengan baik, dan sebagian besar (43,3%) pasien yang terpasang infus tidak mengalami flebitis. Berdasarkan hasil uji statistik diperoleh hasil tidak ada hubungan antara pelaksanaan pemasangan infus dengan kejadian flebitis p value =0.061. Maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa tidak ada hubungan antara teknik pemasangan infus dengan kejadian flebitis.]]>
