Abstract

Buck-Boost Converters are electric power supply device for raising and lowering the voltage DC (Direct Current) power supply equipment according to needs of the electrical load, this research is designed to Buck-Boost Converter and Converter on the 12 Volt power supply, the design of a Buck Converter power supply derived 5 Volt, 6Volt and 6 Volt design while the Boost Converter power supply 12 Volt offered up to 16 Volt, 19 Volt and 22 Volts in a way set the duty cycle of PWM frequency settings in 1.7 Khz and 3.3 Khz. Results research indicates the State of the differences in each frequency in the set output voltage ripple shape obtained is different, however, in the design of this research have been successfully carried out as expected.Keywords: buck converter, boost converter, change in duty cycle

Abstract

Electrical energy is one of the needs that can not be separated from human life in general. The demand for electrical energy over time is increasing, for which an unlimited source of renewable energy availability in nature needs to be developed to meet the needs of electrical energy. In the city of Jambi and its surroundings, the state of the territory is covered by a stream of batanghari river flow and extensive field conditions, free from the wind barriers both the trees and buildings for which this condition is required to undertake more in-depth research studies of wind power, using wind speed data at a certain height allows for the availability of electrical energy. In this study the location to determine the parameters of wind energy is in the city of Jambi with geographic position at coordinates 1.59,103,600-219, this study uses explorative survey method by conducting direct measurement in the field, this study aims to determine the potential of wind energy that can be converted into electrical energy, how decent wind speed conditions in the city of Jambi to be utilized into electrical energy. From the data obtained, the average wind speed in a year using primary data at 2 meters from the batanghari river edge is 2.45 m / s and the maximum effective power produced by the windmill assuming the 4 m2 cross-sectional area is 374.68 Watt which occurs in July, when applied to the Micro Wind Turbine Z - 400W [5] specification can generate electrical energy, but the resulting electrical energy capacity is very small.

Abstract

Di dalam setiap pemasangan intalasi listrik, untuk menghindari arus yg berlebih dan gangguan akibat sambaran petir secara lansung, pentingnya pemasangan grounding (pentanahan).Terutama untuk Saluran Udara Tegangan Extra Tinggi (SUTET). Maka pemasangan harus sesuain S-PLN. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk memporoleh informasi masalah nilai hambatan pentanahan pada kaki tower Saluran Udara Tegangan Extra Tinggi (SUTET) 500 KV Sumatera Turun Pranap Aurduri, untuk mendapatkan informasi maka dilakukan pengukuran dan perhitungan hambatan pentanahan menggunakan elektroda batang. Dari hasil perhitungan hambatan pentanahan kaki tower SUTET 500 KV Panjang elektrode  (L)  1000 mm, Diameter elektroda (D)  16 mm, Jari-jari elektrode = 8 mm, Tahanan jenis tanah (ρ) 100 hm-meter untuk tanah liat ladang dengan hambatan jenis tanah yang berbeda menghasilkan hambatan ± 5 Ohm
